Jasmine at customer service was power tripping over a $5.04 request for an exchange because our salmon had gone bad. She thought I was going to walk away but I requested a manager and she came over and was very respectful and professional and she gave me a gift card. ‍ Simple right? Thank you. I like this Kroger! Kroger has a program similar to Amazon Smile, whereby Kroger donates a portion of all purchases to a charitable organization. The staff are friendly, the store is clean and well organized and a great place to pick up an odd item such as tahini of which they carry 3 brands. Why no 5th star? The hubs *loves* Donato's pizza and the Kroger on 72 near Jeff Rd. carries them as "take and bake." Apparently, this is a Kroger anomaly because I cannot find another Kroger that stocks these. Also, while they *do* offer the 10% discount if you purchase 6 bottles of wine, they do not offer the free reusable wine totes that the Kroger on 72 does. If you want a clean, organized Kroger with a cute little wi fi chill out area, deli and all the other Krogeriffic things, do go here. This clean organized goodness carries over to their gas station experience, too! Don't forget to scan your Kroger plus card to get a decent discount on your gas purchase. Thanks Kroger! read more

Very poor service. I was being checked out and when I told the cashier she rang something in twice she dismissed me and assumed I was talking about the discount. So I waiting until the total like she said, to point out that she had charged me twice. The cashier then wanted me to go to customer service to get it fixed instead of fixing it when it happened. Thankfully the bagger told her to go shards and complete the return and gave her instructions on how to do it. This issue is after I received the wrong delivery and had to wait a week for my refund. No hard feelings but I am done shopping here. read more

This location is a disgrace to Krogers everywhere. None of the Huntsville area locations are worth visiting. Customer service is nonexistent, self-checkout lanes are set to be suspicious of every customer and constantly lock up, self-checkout touch screens aren't worth the plastic and copper they are made of, and staff would rather stop carrying an item than deal with having to shelve it. I felt better served at the last Walmart I visited than in this horrendous place. Management has been notified many times of their issues and has utterly failed to respond or take ownership of the problems. If it went out of business and any other grocery store took the location, it would be an improvement. read more

This review is for AFC Sushi at this Kroger's location:: I'm a very big fan of the sushi shop within the Krogers in this location. I've lived in Madison for about two years now and it's been difficult finding good sushi like the authentic ones I used to get living in NYC. The sushi, sashimi, nigiri and sides are all made fresh that day right in front of you by the 2 or 3 chefs that are there. I like my tuna sweet and tender and this shop has been the only shop so far to get that served right. I like both Korean sushi (Kimbob) and Japanese sushi and this spot is a total lunch time 'win' during working hours or on my way home from work. The colors and presentation of the sushi is beautiful, you won't regret giving it a shot. They also make custom platters for parties which would be great for a get together. This review is for the Starbucks at this Kroger's location:: I love the fact that there is a Starbucks in this location. The baristas can customize drinks and serve all of the standard Starbucks drinks. The lines are never long and there is a basket full of cup holders to be used on the shopping carts in the market. The speed in which the drinks are made aren't the fastest I've seen but I still walk away happy. This review is for the Supermarket:: This Krogers is very large compared to its former Hughes Road location. It's very new and include a large delicatessen area. I was lucky enough to finally find a supermarket that sold romano cheese as a brick compared to the shaved/ grated kind usually in the pasta isle by Kraft. Their cheese selections are impressive but even more impressive is the wine and beer variety and the space dedicated to those items in the market. I've been shopping here since its grand opening and still get lost and have to going through multiple isles to look for very specific items. Shopping at this Krogers isn't as quick and efficient as shopping at Wal-Mart but the variety and availability of goods is there. This Krogers also serves and sells more seafood and seafood variety than Publix and Wal-Mart. I grilled tuna steaks from here and have yet to try the swordfish steaks. Overall this Krogers has increased my qualify of life in my location even if it does take me 10 isles to find protein bars or cranberry juice. read more

Jeff road Kroger floor design is just the best. WalMart over on madison wall Triana is not as good. Women have told me they know where in the jeff road store items are. New location and crappy customer service. 09/08/16 I must have walked around the complete store 3-4 times hunting protein bars and they weren't listed on the store locator provided. I usually try my hardest to find things on my own before asking for assistance. But today I decided to ask for help after having no success with finding the protein bars. I politely stopped employee Trevor since he was heading my way. I asked Trevor if he could point me to the protein bars and his reply was, "I honestly have no idea. They are somewhere in here" (he gestures towards the center of the store where we stood) and then he walks off and continues his mission. No shit, Sherlock! He didn't bother to ask any of his coworkers and he didn't attempt to assist me with finding them. I was blown and very disappointed. I left immediately after obtaining the employee's name. Customer Service goes a long way and today's experience definitely left a distasteful impression on me. I worked retail for 10+ years and I understand how important it is to go the extra mile. If there was something I didn't know, I asked. I never dismissed a customer's concern like Trevor did today. I really wanted to like this location but I highly doubt that I'll be back. I'd rather take my money where it's appreciated even if it means driving further out. First impressions do lasts a lifetime. read more

The produce doesn't seem to be the freshest. I purchased arugala and most of the package was brown and wilted. The customer service is awful. The employees will probably not speak to you and they definitely won't smile. I hope you don't need help loading your groceries because you'll be on your own with that too. I initially attributed these problems to them being a "new" store, but we are well past time for growing pains to be over. I have given up on them. GREAT DESIGN WITH ADDITIONAL AMENITIES! This is a relatively new Kroger with a thoughtful design. I love that the popular departments, (produce and the hot bar and deli departments), are conveniently located toward the front of the store off to the left as you enter. It is nice not having to go all the way to the back of the store when you just need to make a quick run for something very specific. The produce looked fresh and was neatly displayed. I do wish that more care had been given to the prepared food and salad bar. If you are going to have these bars in your store, you must give them frequent attention to make sure that surfaces are clean and the food is turned on a regular basis so that it does not start to look old and dry. I really love Kroger chicken wings and that was the primary reason for my visit today. I only requested two because as she was preparing the order, I suddenly realized why I stopped purchasing my prepared wings from Kroger. At the same time that they decided to raise the price on their wings, they are now much smaller as if they are Cornish game hens instead of actual chickens. I don't believe in gouging the customer in both ways. Either increase the price OR use smaller wings but it is not fair to do both. Pick one! As we easily checked out today, I noticed that this Kroger is oddly designed so that there is a wall right in your face. I am accustomed to a great deal of open space once you exit the check-out area. This was a very poor plan because it just makes you feel very closed in. Also, this appears to be the spot where returned stock is placed and during my visit, it was very cluttered. They really need to rethink this area which was like a glaring stain on an all white suit. read more

For a newer store this place stinks. Both literally and figuratively. The service is slow, people don't act like hey even care to be there for the most part. At 10pm and sometimes before. Self check out regardless of how many people are in line. 4 lanes - very ignorant of Kroger! I find more reasons not to shop at Kroger than I do find to do so! Since moving here, this Kroger has pretty much been our go to but we have never been completely happy with it. They are almost always out of what we want and the employees have zero interest in customer service, outside of one of them. The produce is horrible every single time IF you can get by the 7 or 8 employees that feel the need to stand in your way and not ask if you need any help or if they should move. We have started going to Sprouts for our produce because it is consistently fresh and there are never people blocking your way. The prices aren't that much higher, either, which is completely worth the second drive. Our one and only bright side when we go to this store is Sandy who has been friendly and welcoming since our very first visit. read more

This Kroger used to have excellent meat department, I don't know what happened? Staff is rude and to top it off you can't get pork belly, ox tail, pigs ears, stuff that chefs love to cook with!!! Also, why is it that the Kroger on 72 offers fresh lobster and you don't here??? I like this Kroger (especially the location), but they are terrible when it comes to keeping their produce stocked. I go there a couple times a week (never on the same days or at the same time of day) and each time there are great amounts of empty produce shelves. It's never even the same item- my husband and I always joke there about "preparing to be disappointed" before we walk into the produce area. read more

I love the quality and selection at this location, but the staff really need to work on hospitality. There are not a bunch of friendly faces around, just people that look like they can't wait to leave. Additionally, every time I have come and not used self checkout I end up bagging my own groceries because the clerk seems uninterested and there are apparently no baggers. The first time it happened I thought it was a fluke, but it's happened 4 out of 4 visits without even a thank you. The last time it happened the clerk started ringing up the next customer before I could even finish bagging so I ended up just grabbing all my stuff and throwing it back in the cart as fast as I could. No thank you, no have a nice day. I now understand why the lines for self checkout are so long and the ones with clerks are usually empty. read more

Kroger was my favorite store before they moved and 'up sized.' Now the store is TOO BIG! But service people are awesome--especially Stephanie in Floral dept. I always speak to her by name, even if I'm not shopping in her dept. Once a lady asked me what I was looking for -- I had 2 things I could not find and she walked with me to each department to be sure I found my items Usually they just tell me what aisle things are on, which is all I ever expect. I don't like the store overall, even though it is pretty and new. Just too huge and the walk is exhausting. I need to try their car delivery service! read more

The store is well-stocked with items I need. My grandson loves the kids treats they offer. When we go in the store together he knows to go look for his piece of fruit in the produce department, for the cookie in the bakery, and even the butcher paper hat in the meat department. This keeps him very happy while I'm shopping. The pharmacy department is also a wonderful place for me because they answer my questions about my meds and they keep me informed when my prescription is ready. read more

Didn't like this store from the beginning, but until the Publix on Hughes Road is open, it's the only store close enough to walk to. Manager accused me of stealing food...didn't even ask for receipt. Long story short, WILL NEVER RETURN. Yes, I dealt with another manager and corporate. When a store allows someone like this to get to management, I lose all respect. Good riddance Kroger! read more

Very Poor customer service! I highly suggest not to shop at this store! My mother was interested in a small Frazier Fir Christmas tree outside the front of the store...of course there were no signs indicating the prices of the trees! I went inside to the floral department and waited patiently to speak with someone about the price of the Christmas trees that were located in the front of the building.. "Stephanie" who was working at the floral counter spoke to me with a "major attitude" and asked me if I needed something...I asked the price of the small Frazier Fir and told her in a nice demeanor...she said $19.99 and told her as a FYI that they needed signage for the trees outside the store...since I had worked in marketing for many years...She went off on me! I asked her in a kind voice what her name was and continued to scream her name at me as I walked away! Really....was that called for in general? I went to customer service and asked for store management.... I spoke with the management and they never apologized for their rude ass employee! I did call the corporate office and told them what happened...a waste of time! I guess that is why I shop at Publix! read more
