Estaban and Key showed up promptly and friendly. We had worked with Nicole ahead of time to get an estimate, who also was fantastic. What was surprising is the care they took for every item. We had pre-packed all the boxes, but they inspected each one, and if there was room, they placed crumpled paper in the voids to make sure the items were safe. For the furniture, they wrapped EVERY item in at least two-three layers of crumpled paper wrap to protect the finish. For the loose items we didn't trust ourselves to pack, they came with all the materials to make sure they were packed safely. They were courteous the entire process, and after NINE hours of moving the finished and looked exhausted but satisified with a job well done. I should also mention some of our furniture was HEAVY (like Piano heavy) and they bravely and skillfully navigated those challenges with mental and physical strength! In a couple years once we find our new place in Spain, they already have all of our goods CUSTOMS ready! We just need to call them with our location in Spain and a few months later our goods will show up in the same condition they were picked up in. I will come back to review once our items arrive in Spain, but I have no doubts in Hansen brothers as I used them 20 years ago for another significant move, and also had an amazing experience then. We are SO lucky to have a company like this (around for 130+ years!) to lean on for the REALLY hard job they do - at affordable rates.

The truck arrived over an hour later than promised but clock started 1.5 hrs earlier than promised. When truck got to the new house they said it was going to be 4500 not 2700 because it was a lot of things and it was a 3 level home. That was never stated anywhere in the contract. After arriving to Washington with my friends, Simple Move got there on time. I was very happy! I just wanted to get everything done and help my friend settle in! I'm honestly one of those people that is over critical with my belongings and they cannot be bad or I will freak out! After talking with Kathy on the phone, I knew that Chips Moving was the perfect business for us. She explained the prices upfront, which were very fair, and it was obvious that she took great pride in their family business. When her sons and another employee came to our house on moving day, we were so impressed at their friendly attitudes and hard-working style! They took quick steps and were diligent about working diligently, to make the most of our time and money. They took extra care with our things, as well. Literally nothing in the move was damaged - nothing! I was shocked. They even unloaded some of the items they had already loaded onto the truck so that we could rearrange things in order to fit more into our cars. This allowed us to just make one trip, which we very much appreciated! When we got to our new house, they not only unloaded everything with care, but they put our bed together and were very patient as we measured and decided exactly where our big furniture would need to be. They called within the window, showed up on time and with the exception of smelling like sweat they were quite professional. The smell I can discount as they were very polite and summer is peak moving season. Our walnut furniture had to be moved around complicated stairs and they were quite helpful. During the move to a new house we found people online who were selling furniture that we wanted. We coordinated with the movers and they made two additional stops during the day and both of the homeowners commented about how quick and knowledgeable the movers were. We started around 4 PM having them move and I think we finished around 11:30 that night. Aside from the amount of time that it took to move which you don't realize how much stuff you accumulate we got them pizza because they were just so tired and we are happy to have them help. Again aside from a few small scratches on a piece of the woodwork that we have which I can buff out with some 300 grit sandpaper.
