It made me happy on a chilly evening. This time, we took the kiddos in and I had simple cheese enchiladas--the special with queso, and they were awesome. Totally hit the spot. My BF had some spicy shrimp dish with onions that was super yummy and super spicy. I'd definitely try that one again as well. And... my fav...they serve bean dip!!! I'm still semi-new to Manor and have been looking for a go-to breakfast taco spot. I was very happy to discover Taqueria Krysal since it's less than a 5 min drive from my house. But I most likely will not be back. Pro: Again, it's super close to my house. It's attached to a gas station in a brand new building and is very easy find. Pro: It has a drive thru. I didn't have to leave the car, so that's a big plus for me. Pro: The salsa was pretty good. Not the best I've tasted, but still decent. The green is the spicier one, but I would order the red again. Pro: Decent wait time. I was going to call it in but decided to order there. I didn't have to wait long before the food came out, so that was nice. Con: The size of the tacos were super small. There were two tacos per foil wrap. They were about the size of a street taco, but I feel like a larger tortilla should be used for breakfast tacos. Con: The taste was sub par. I was not impressed. We ordered bacon egg cheese tacos, bacon potato egg and cheese, beef fajita, and chile con queso. The beef was pretty dry. The queso did not include any chile or really anything besides cheese. Occassionally salsa or some veggies are added to queso, but this was just straight up cheese. The other tacos didn't really have a taste which I think is hard to accomplish with bacon, but they pretty blan. Con: Way Overpriced. I got 9 tacos and a small 4 oz queso for $30. This place charged extra for a lot of little things. Most places start with two items per taco and will charge extra dor every additional item. This I'm used to. This place also charged each taco for the flour tortilla and the queso didn't come with chips (chips are purchased separately). We ordered potato on some of the tacos, but could not find potato anywhere, but got charged for it. Given the size and taste if these tacos, I feel like the prices aren't justified. Overall, you'll see their are more Pros then Cons, but this place being overpriced is heavily weighted for me. It's ultimately why I won't go back. So I'm still on the hunt for a taco place. We'll see how that goes. read more

Local stop for breakfast tacos with a quick drive through. Everything is fresh and made to order. Salsas have some spice without being too hot for those that can't handle the inferno that comes along most "spicy" things in Austin. The drive through is not incredibly fast, so go with someone you can have a conversation with while waiting. Very disappointed. We have been going there since it opened, but my daughter went there and they refused to serve her because she doesn't speak Spanish. Then my wife went there (Mexican American) and had to speak Spanish to them to get an order. My wife said they came off very arrogant. My family and I went in for breakfast and where excited to try this new place. We where greeted as we walked in and pointed to sit at a big table...which was the only big table in the restaurant. We eventually got handed menus. My husband and son both ordered lunch plates which were on a diff. Menu( it was a little after 9 am) So they serve lunch before noon I ordered a basic ham and egg omelette and it came with potatoes and bns on the side which was a plus because I was only expecting the omelette. I didn't see it stated on the menu. My daughter and niece both had tacos which they said were good. When the server was done taking the order my husband asked if they had chips and salsa and she smiled and shook her head yes and replied 2 dollars. (Most Mexican restaurants give them complimentary but we got them anyways.) She left...put the order in and waited a bit to bring the chips and salsa. When she finally came she had a hand full of stuff. 3 small tin cups filled with black bns,red salsa,and green salsa. (Pretty spicy)I was ok with the $2 My husband got a combo plate said with no toms. (it had Tom.) so he asked if she could take it back she just smiled and immediately said oh yes no Tom. and shook her head ...acknowledging his request from the beginning. My omelette looked REALLY good BUT when I cut into it I noticed it wasn't fully cooked. The eggs where still really runny I would've just kept it and cut the piece that wasn't cooked but it was the whole omelette. I told the waitress and she apologized took my plate and it took a while for a quick reheat but when it came back Overcooked I told my husband I would just eat it anyway at this point i was already disappointed, starving,and just wanted to get something other then chips and bns in me but took another bite turned it over and realized why it tasted so bad it was completely dark brown I knew at this point it was ABSOLUTELY impossible for me to cut it let alone even eat it. I called the waitress over and told her it was not edible if she could just take the omelette off and I would eat and pay for the bns and pots. She shook her head yes and tried to take my plate. I put my hand on it and repeated what I had just said nice and calmly. She pulled her hands back immediately sighed and shook her head yes put her hands on her hips with an attitude as I was talking to her. I get it she was frustrated by now but when dealing with bad service on the kitchens part she should've been more professional...when dealing with this type of issue in the future. I'm sure she was fed up with everything at this point because I know I was. She went to get the lady she was talking with the whole time this was happening they where talking by the register in the open every chance they got. It's not like they where trying to be discreet. So she evidently was aware of what was going on. She came to the table already frustrated I explained the situation anyway and she responded looking at my niece or son not for sure who.... but I know she wasn't looking at me.(RUDE) I asked if she could please look at me when she was talking and not them pointing towards my son and niece. She got so upset rolled her eyes as she threw her hands in the air and mumbled something under her breath turned and stormed off getting everyone in the place to focus on what was going on. (SO EMBARRASSING)We got our bill brought to us. My husband looked at the bill, 39 something and threw 40 bucks on the table and we walked out. Dave Gore and I had lunch at Krystal Taqueria today. We both had the mini tacos and shared nachos. First of all...for only $6.99 you get FOUR TACOS!!! Several to choose from and smothered in fresh onion, cilantro and grilled onions served on double corn tortillas. They we wonderful! We had, pastor, picodillo, carnitas, beef fajita and barbacoa. My favs were the pastor and picadillo, the picadillo beef was seared and not mushy. Great flavors and loaded with meat. We ordered the regular nachos, they came topped with refried beans and queso. So simple and good. The treat was when we sat down, our server brought our chips and THREE SAUCES!! A mild red salsa, a black bean dip (Sooo good) and an amazing spicy green sauce. Prices were very reasonable, service was friendly and the place was very clean down to the salt shakers and hot sauce bottles on the tables. We're defininately going back. read more

This was a nice surprise. We were on the road so we called ahead. Our order was ready by the time we got there which couldn't have been more than 10 minutes. It is really clean and well maintained.
