I used to love this place. We have been eating here weekly but the last few times it just hasn't been that good. The broth of the soup has no real flavor. Almost taste packaged or something. The eggrolls were cold. The meat on #19 tasted old. And the part that did taste fresh was the stir fry dishes except I think they literally use the same sauce on every single stir fry dish. Just to test it I ordered Kung Pao Chicken which even though it's not Vietnamese, they offer it, because I knew there was no way it could be the same. It was!! With a few nuts on top. I took a picture just to show that they definitely do not know what they are doing anymore. Their quality has really gone down hill. It's a real bummer but sadly we have stopped going there. My boyfriend and I came here looking for authentic food, only to be surprised that it was not what it claims to be. I love fusion (when I expect it) so after the initial shock of our appetizer plate (complete with Hong Kong style fried shrimp and egg rolls ) , I had to just put the authentic goal out of my mind, and switch to fusion expectations, heh. My boyfriend "Thai tea" was oolong tea with sweet cream poured ON TOP . The tab came with fortune cookies...lol. Even more confusion commenced when our orders came. My boyfriend ordered the chicken pho, and I order the wor won ton soup. Both of them were prepared by someone who clearly had never seen or tasted either dish made authentically. The pho wasn't bad...it wasn't pho, but the flavor it was...ok. The won ton soup however was...arguably the worse won ton I've ever had. The filling was like luke warm cardboard mulch. The imitation crab was gushy mushy. The shrimp tasted freezer burned then microwaved. The broth tasted old. I refused to eat the rest of my meal after my initial taste test. I give them two stars because the service was nice and quick, their portions are generous, the "pho" wasn't terrible, and they quickly took my meal off the tab with no arguments. I have been coming here for years and I hate to write a bad review. I love their food but I feel like the cleanliness has been an issue for a while now. When I got home and assembled my takeout Wonton Soup, I had extra guests in my soup. Apparently when I submerged the broccoli in the broth, little aphids or some other type of insect came floating up. The one star was given to the average portion of food. I ordered cold vermicelli with grilled pork and fried spring rolls. The grilled pork was the worse of the worst cooked grilled pork I've ever had. It's marinated to a red food coloring and the meat tasted old... like it's been recooked over and over again. The fried spring rolls tasted starchy. Just gross food! I only ate one bite of the pork and spring roll and was unable to finish it. I just ate few bites of the vermicelli and that was it. Best dishes were the crispy noodles and the kt noodle specialty noodles. Would come back again. They have about 10-15 vegetarian/ vegan dishes. Customer service was good but could have been a little better. They did fill our waters towards the end of our meal without prompting. This is a great mom and pop near my apartment. This will be my go-to when I'm feeling like Vietnamese food and not driving to Stockton Blvd. I came here on a Friday night after a long drive home from work. Boyfriend out of town so no need to cook. The restaurant looks like a diner turned Viet restaurant. The red, metallic booths were comfy. From the exterior, it's hard to tell if there's business, but customers were flowing in and out on the regular for dinner. I ordered the combination Wonton soup which was overflowing with a mixture of wontons, seafood, fresh broccoli, carrots, celery, and bok choy. Wontons were homemade and were pretty good. I felt like the food was very abundant, and it was great that they weren't afraid to really fill up the bowl. I had to take the rest home. The 4-star rating is for the good customer service, which is surprisingly rare for Vietnamese restaurants. I'd come back again to try the Pho and other delicious items on the menu. The service is fast. The dining room isn't immaculate but they value cleanliness. If you are a clean freak this place may not be for you. Like the restroom might scare you?! Friendly quick service, fresh veggies that always have a good crunch. Some meats are better than others, but for the relatively low prices across the board you can't be too picky. The lemongrass/grilled pork and beef are excellent. the wontons are good. Heck I can't remember the last thing I had here that I didn't like. A huge menu. I heard from my boyfriend that some people he knows says this pho place was really good. We decided to go and try it out this past weekend. The place is located in a small plaza and the parking area was limited. The interior was very small and also a bit cramped. We ordered and when the spring rolls came, it was a very small rolls. Not the typical big rolls you get at other pho places. Not a big deal, no problem. The thing that was disappointing was the pho. The taste of the broth was the typical broth. Not too special, not bad. The thing that disappointed me the most was the Large pho I got looked like a typical medium sized bowl at some other pho places. The large pho that looked like a medium sized pho bowl cost about $12. That is pretty pricey. Overall, I think I will be going back to some other pho places where I can get more food for a more decent price. read more

I came here around 1pm and 5pm on a Tuesday and Thursday and both times there was plenty dine in seating available. We ordered Fresh Spring Rolls. They give a great amount of this and it tasted good however the sauce that it comes with could be better in my opinion. We also got Beef Chow Fun. There was a piece of hair on this dish and so they brought me a newly cooked one. Nonetheless, this dish was good, the vegetables were soft yet crunchy and the beef and noodles were perfectly cooked. We got Hot Tea and I believe it is Jasmine. You are given a pot of it and there is free refills. We also ordered Bánh Xèo which is a Vietnamese style crepe. It comes with shrimp and chicken but we substituted the chicken with pork which we prefer this dish and it comes with lettuce on the side. This tasted good however I would of liked it to be more flavorful. I also thought the sauce that it came with was ok. We then got Fried Chicken Wings which was fine, crunchy. It comes with sweet & sour sauce. Lastly we ordered Charbroiled Pork & Egg Roll over Rice plate. The egg rolls were very crunchy. They give a lot of rice. The pork tasted fine and you get a good amount of it. My fave part of this dish were indeed the egg rolls. The service is good. This place doesn't break the bank either. read more

First review of 2016, here we go! I have to give this place a solid 4. Yelper and friend Jordan D. and I hit this place every time we visit our home county. I almost put town, but we're from neighboring towns, so that wouldn't make sense. The biggest draw KT Noodle has is quality for price. It is cheap, especially compared to Vietnamese cuisine in Sacramento. For the price, you get a LOAD of food. And not only a LOAD but a tasty one at that. The broth in the wonton soup is beyond compare, and the meats are cooked in savory sauces that are not watery, bland, or overly greasy by sight or taste. They absolutely PILE things on plates and soups. Look at my pic of that wonton. Seafood, veggies, meats.....mmmm mmm mmm! Eggrolls are often snuck into entrée dishes as an added bonus. Do yourself a favor and add an appetizer plate to share. It comes with spring rolls, egg rolls, calamari, fried prawns, one item I know I'm forgetting, and a multitude of different sauces that you can then use throughout your meal. Staff are mostly friendly and service is moderate, and the facilities and dining area are decent. You'll likely not run into a huge wait unless you hit Sunday Lunch After Church Hour. Hi-Ya! Ok so we came and ate here...in fact I'm still sitting here while everybody finishes...if you like vegetables then this place is for you. They drop broccoli, cabbage, carrots, asparagus and green beans...all over every single plate! Again for a vegan this place is your best dream come true, but they are not as generous with protein...being a carnivore that I am I need chicken, beef or lamb! We tried the pho--it was so-so. The #9 (a hybrid pho and vegetable bowl)--filling if you like veggies. Oddly enough the chow fun is basically the same as #9; just no soup and fatter noodles. The spring rolls, fried rice, beef pho and egg rolls are all mildly tasty. It's really not a bad place, but with all the reviews and 4 stars I expected more. Overall the experience was ok...bathrooms fairly clean. The place appears to have been converted from a old hamburgers shop so some of the dining tables and seats have that old-time hamburger shop feel. Sodas are served from a can...so not refills :(, but overall it fills you, but doesn't wow you. Wow what a surprise to find a decent Vietnamese place in Rocklin! Located in what looks like an old coffee shop complete with sparkling red vinyl booths. The medium to small sized business holds probably 35-50 or so. The décor is consistently strange, but we didn't come here for the scenery :) We were greeted, seated and served very quickly which is a good thing since it is busy at lunch time. The menu carries traditional Pho, Bun, Rice plates and traditional entrees as well. We sampled the following items: Viet Ice Coffee: super strong expresso served over ice and mixed with condensed milk to make it a balance of sweet and strong-pretty darn good and it sure woke me up. I thnk it was $2.50-$3. Appetizer Sampler: This was a crazy good deal, Calamari, 2 butterflied deep fried shrimp, two deep fried spring rolls, two viet shrimp spring rolls, two viet pork spring rolls, peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce all for a mere $7.25-CRAZY!. Everything was tasty, but the deep fried shrimp were oddly hard around the edges, not sure what caused that but that wouldn't stop us from ordering this item again. KT special chow fun: wide noodles served with broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, chicken, pork, beef and shrimp. The noodles were soft and fresh and tasty. I liked that the veggies were cooked until a little bit soft, although others might say they were overcooked. The sauce was a little bit to sweet but overall the dish was large and tasty. $8.25 Bun with BBQ Pork and shrimp: The bowl was huge! Wifey barely even dented this monster vermichelli bowl. Served with 3 shrimp, BBQ Pork and all the veggies to go with it, this is a steal at $6.50 The only complaint I would have about this place was to me, the shrimp didn't taste fresh and I took mine out of my chow fun. In addition they don't seem to serve the traditional grilled Vietnamese BBQ Pork here instead it is Chinese Style red BBQ pork so be aware before you order. Prices are ridiculously affordable with huge portions and good service. I deducted one star due to the shrimp and lack of grilled pork, but this is still a solid choice to check out. read more

We've been coming here for years. The food is fresh and delicious and, even with the recent price increases, is a decent value. Haven't ordered anything that didn't taste good with one exception- lately is the peanut sauce. It used to be sooo good! It was the original reason I like KT so much! In the last year or two though it seems watery and actually is thin and more like a soupy sauce. I find it yucky. Now I use the chili sauce on the otherwise wonder spring rolls. I cannot compare this place to any Vietnamese restaurant around the Roseville/Rocklin area.Their prices are the BEST and the best part is their portions for their prices. I always come in for lunch 3 times a week and order their Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli Noodle Bowl(#51 $6.50) or their Spring Rolls (they call it Crepe Rolls on their menu) The noodles are so warm and cooked right. The lemongrass chicken is very tasty and combines really well with the sauce and noodles altogether. Service is always fast, they always bring out my food in less than 10 minutes. read more

If your up for a curry dish try 58 Tofu curry (all veggie) w/noodles you won't be disappointed! Lastly if your looking for a warm bowl of soup the 18a Won Ton soup is excellent. First time here and I was quite impressed. Being Vietnamese, I always look to see what the specialty is for a Vietnamese restaurant. Some places it's the pho and others it's their plates. I may be wrong, but based on yelp reviews and what I saw people ordering, most ordered some sort of bbq dish and hu tieu (chicken and shrimp noodle soup). I usually try the pho at every Vietnamese restaurant but I decided otherwise. We ordered the sampler appetizer plate, which was intriguing because that's not common. It came with two types of spring rolls (shrimp/pork), egg rolls, calamari, and butterfly shrimp. It came with three types of dipping sauces, and all of it was good. The only item I didn't care for was the calamari. I ordered the #54 which is the bbq pork, shrimp, and egg roll over a bed of vermicelli noodles and vegetables. It was great! There was plenty of meat and it was pretty tender. The sauce (nuoc mam) was seasoned well, not too sweet. My boyfriend ordered the #19 which is the bbq pork with egg roll over rice and veggies. Equally as good. Everything came out quick and we finished everything! Non-food related: Atmosphere was nice. I haven't been in a Vietnamese restaurant that had their type of decor in a really long time. It was actually quite nostalgic because it reminded me of my childhood memories of going to Vietnamese restaurants in the 90s. I loved it! Everything seems clean and the staff was nice. The food from here always hits the spot! Our favorite hot weather meal is their #54 pork, shrimp, egg roll vermicelli, and you have to get their spring rolls if you stop in. The pork was so tender and juicy with a hint of sweet that brings everything together. They're portions are always generous and the staff is so nice! KT Noodles is one of my favorite local vietnamese restaurant. Although their prices may have gone up by a bit (as of time of this review), the prices are still reasonable. They recently renovated their dining room, and it looks as good as the food tastes. My wife and I along with her workout friends always go here at the end of a session. Their vietnamese crepes are well portioned relative to the price. But so is the rest of their menu! We will continue to support them for as long as they are around. read more
