Full Day Tour (with buffet lunch!) WOW!! My family and I checked out Kualoa Ranch for the first time and had the BEST time. There are so many things happening at once but once they point you in the right direction, you can expect a good time. - Jungle Tour (Caleb) was informative and shared lots of laughs. - Movie Tour (Vaihi) was smooth and a good time with island reggae music playing in the background. - Garden Grown tour (Ioane) we made 2 pit stops to sample things and he was a great time!! Tours start at 9:20 BUT get there early since there's gonna be a lot of other ppl going to try other things like the ATV tours, riding horses, zipline and etc. Buffet lunch at 12pm was all so good! Probably bc we were hungry Lol I loved their kalo bread pudding with dark chocolate chip sauce The museum they have set up with the AC was super informative. I can't wait to go back again.
I have seen the ranch several times but did not have a chance to visit until now. I am glad we got a chance to come. Jurassic Park has always had a place in my heart since the movie premiered and a big place in our family's heart since we started hanging out at Universal and taking the kids to see the Jurassic World movies. We love dinosaurs. So the Jurassic tour was the one I selected. There are so many tours to pick it was super had to narrow it down to just one which was a good thing because even being here half the day is a lot in the sun. Other tours that looked enticing were the movie tour, the ATV tour and zipline tour. Maybe we will do another one in the future. I love the beautiful ranch. There is so much land and so many photo opps. The tours are very popular, so when the site says they sell out, it is true, I made sure to book from home in advance and many of the times were gone, and most of the tours seemed to be at capacity. I also saw a comment about not picking people up from another customer. On the website they do have a spot to get picked up from certain areas. We were on the Waikiki beach strip and caught a ride from their bus both ways. I would suggest calling them direct, the were helpful in telling me the nearest spot since I had originally picked a farther stop and they helped me adjust it to the hotel next door, thank goodness! An overall nice time. They gave us plenty of time for photos. They helped by taking picture for guests, made silly and fun dino videos with a toy dino and pointed out all of the fun spots. I even got to pass the Skull Island bones even though we did not stop, but I had wanted to at least see it in person, goal accomplished. So many movies and shows I watch have been filed here, including Monarch and Lilo and Stitch, which I am also a fan of both. We loved both the nature and the movie magic of the area. I loved seeing their cattle and horses. Things that were a bit confusing. They told us to check in to certain areas. I would go talk to the people, give my name and check in then relax, only to be told right before the tour I did not check in the correct spot and that it was in the email. They literally sent seven emails, first of all, and second when I tried to check in why did you say I had to go to a different spot. It did not affect us in the end, but it was annoying. Then same with happened going home on the bus. I was told to check in with a lady. I gave her my name, she said okay and sat us down. When the bus arrived he said I had to see that same lady I check in with. She sent me literally to the end of the line to check in again! Why did she not tell me she did not check me in the first time? Don't know, it did not affect us in the end, but why so disorganized twice? Maybe a bit more communication or next time I will quadruple check that I am check in properly. I like that they had a lot of cold drinks that were not too much more than an ABC store, since it was very hot out there, but I feel like their food and souvenir game could be better. I know they are a ranch, but it is a missed opportunity to have more and better options. The souvenir shop had very cheap quality products. If I were them, I would have had a bigger shop, with higher quality material, separated into each type of tour, like a better dino area, a better movie area, etc...I did get one child some dino gummies and one wanted a sweatshirt and my husband found a hat, but we would have bought more if they had more ranch branded items. I also would have liked to have seen more little props for photo opps in the movie areas. Some places only had a tiny sign. Just a few more would have been great. Overall the trip was from about 7 AM to about 2 PM. So this is a great way to spend a half day on the island.
Our guide, Iven, did a great job! He was knowledgeable, personable, and helping us have a great experience. The scenery was breathtaking! I can see why this is a preferred site for so many tropical movies. No picture could capture the beauty of what we saw today. The speaker system on the UTV left much to be desired. We had difficulty hearing and understanding our guide while driving due to the muffled sound from the speaker, coupled with the sound of our car. We did not have issues understanding him when the car was stopped. The scheduling process was a nightmare with repeated unexplained cancellations before we were able to finally lock in the reservation. Customer Service did apologize repeatedly and gave us a 25% discount for our trouble. The on-site dining option was nice. We took advantage of eating lunch before our tour. This venue has the potential to be a five star visit. If the audio situation was fixed, and the upfront booking situation was fixed it would've been a five star experience.
We had a GREAT time on our 2-Hour UTV Raptor Tour! Online booking is simple and day-of check in was a breeze. They ask you to get there an hour early, but once you're checked in you can explore a bit before getting your helmet and vehicle. Once on the ride, there's plenty of stops throughout for movie sites or to learn Hawaiian folklore. The views are incredible and the UTVs are a blast to drive. Absolutely recommend!
Our family had another FANTASTIC visit to Kualoa Ranch! We did the same activities as last time...horseback riding and UTV ride. Mine and my daughter's horseback riding guide was Swade! He was so friendly, knowledgeable and easy going. Our two hour ride flew by. I do recommend the early morning rides versus the late morning and afternoon ones. Also, each group of riders is no larger than seven people, not including your guide. In total, the ride is about seven miles. There were three different parties in our group and my daughter and I were the only ones who gave a tip to Swade. Please be sure to tip your guide. They really do appreciate it!
Absolutely beautiful! Kualoa Ranch offers some of the most spectacular views on Oʻahu. I came for the scenery and left with hundreds of photos! Kualoa Ranch is even more beautiful in person than in pictures. The mountains are massive, the air feels fresh, and every view looks like a postcard. If you do only ONE thing while visiting Oahu then this should be the thing. Besides the beautiful views on the Ranch they have such a great history. You can do the standard movie tour and see the literally hundreds of movies and TV shows filmed there or explore a bit more on your own with their ATV tour or horseback tour. Everything is reasonably priced and our guide was fantastic. So much knowledge of history, filming, wildlife and lore. All done without a script in sight. There is a bunker built for WW2 that was never really used but now houses movie memorabilia from the many productions on the ranch. Staff everywhere was super friendly and be sure to check out ALL of the buildings as they offer food souvenirs and even a shop with meat and products from the ranch itself.
We did the UTV raptor ride along tour. I'm glad we picked this. We didn't have to worry about driving and we got a personalized narrated tour. The guides would occasionally point things out over the loud speakers along the way, but we ended up having a nice conversation with our guide. She pointed things out that not everyone got to hear. 2 hours was just long enough. Would definitely try a different tour.
My biggest recommendation is look online to investigate what kind of tour you want to do. Each experience is different. Investigating also the availability is important, if you just show up, you maybe waiting for the next tour window to open up. I went with my sister and we chose the Movie Sites and Ranch tour. The whole tour was an hour and a half. The cost was $60 We booked it with our hotel, so they gave us the availability window. The bus was open window, make sure you wear sunblock and you are dressed accordingly, the bus took us on the trail with great views. The best park was the scenes from the film. Jurassic park is a classic, Kong: Skull island was amazing to see in person. After our tour we checked out the gift shop. They have all sorts of souvenirs. If you like adventure this is a great experience to book.
If you're visiting Oahu, Kualoa Ranch is an absolute must-do. Every time we find ourselves on the island, we make it a point to come back and try a different excursion and it never disappoints. Whether it's the farm tour, ATVs, e-bikes, or even visiting the secret beach, every experience has been fun, unique, and incredibly well run. The setting alone is worth it you're surrounded by some of the most breathtaking natural beauty on the island, with views that are easily among the best in Oahu. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and there's even a chance you'll stumble upon a movie being filmed, which adds a little extra excitement to the day. This time around, we did the e-bike tour (novice level). Even though it's labeled beginner-friendly, I'd say it can still be a bit of a workout. I consider myself pretty athletic, and there were definitely moments where I had to push myself. That said, it just made the experience more rewarding. They do have you complete a practice run beforehand to make sure you're comfortable handling the bikes, which is reassuring. Our tour guide was fantastic and really made the experience enjoyable. As a bonus, we even got to catch a glimpse of the next Jumanji movie being filmed, which was such a cool surprise. We can't say enough good things about Kualoa Ranch. It's one of those places that keeps you coming back, and it absolutely deserves a spot on your Oahu itinerary.

We visited Kualoa ranch to see the Jurassic filming spots. The tour was super fun and informative. There is ample parking, but the lot was close to full when we arrived around 12PM. Despite the crowded parking lot, once inside, the ranch didn't seem crowded. Our tour contained a dozen people which felt like a small group in such a large space! We really appreciated that they kept the tours small. Vao was our tour guide. She had an amazing personality and was incredibly knowledgeable! She took great care of us and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable! Throughout the park, there was so much natural beauty and so many fun animals to see! Would definitely recommend a visit here if you're in the area. read more

To check in, go behind the information desk where ticketing is. There's plenty of parking in the lot but we parked in front on information. When you're in line for the first checkin at ticketing, they only need the person whose name is on the reservation and their ID. Everybody else can wait off to the side. Micah checked us in at the table. Kawika was one of our tour guides. He joked with us who would be a passenger princess in our group of 3. Good vibes from both men with the group for 8:15am ATV. FYI there can only be two drivers. Maddie aka Madison was our safety person for the tour. If you sit at the front with the tour guide you won't be covered in dirt unlike the people behind you in line. Maddie offered to take pictures for us which saved us a lot. The views on the ranch were incredible. Driving around the ranch was intimidating at first but it was thrilling and breathtaking throughout till the end. I loved listening to the stories about different parts of the island from Kawika and Maddie. The story about the mom, the lost son, and the surviving brother was touching. I wish there were more washing stations but definitely bring a change of clothes. If I return I'll just have a bathing suit under my clothes and take a dip in the beach across the street next time. They give you a check-in time but you can go a lot sooner like after you're done with the first check-in so that you can get a higher spot in the utv driving line. read more

We had an amazing time at Kualoa Ranch. We did the UTV tour to celebrate my birthday. My boyfriend got to drive the UT and loved every minute of it. We drove all around the ranch and stopped by some movie locations. We had the pleasure of having Johnny and Austin as our tour guides. They told us stories, talked about history of the land, and shared Hawai'i in the most authentic way. You can just tell how much this means to them and it's more than just a job. We booked the UTV Raptor Tour, and it was absolutely beautiful! Initially, we were a bit disappointed because we booked the ride along, and we couldn't drive the UTV ourselves. Nevertheless, the tour was still amazing. Our tour guide was funny and gave us great information as we drove along. The scenery was the best part, and it held stunning views! read more

Spanning 4,000 acres, Kualoa Ranch (meaning "long-backed" in Hawaiian, based off the nearby Kualoa mountains that look like a lizard), is the filming location for many, many Hollywood films, including the Jurassic series, King Kong (Skull Island), 50 First Dates, Lost, Magnum PI, and countless others. They offer horseback rides, ATV drives, and Jurassic tours, the latter of which is what we did. Our tour guide, Kristy, was genial, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. She gave us many nuggets of knowledge about all the spots we visited, and hung out with us while we stopped to explore. Always offering to help us take pictures and even stopping when a passenger lost their hat, helping them retrieve it, Kristy really made the ride enjoyable for us. As a local, she proudly shared how important it was for her to share her culture and to protect her homeland, which is why she chose her job. Much respect. She deserves a pay raise for sure! The Jurassic Tour took us around the ranch to many different scenes, where we could stop and stand in actual Hollywood sets, from a bunker-turned-museum (originally used in WWII) to major scenes in Jurassic Park and World. The tour itself is extremely bumpy and windy at times, so while you're required to wear seat belts, it feels almost like a theme park ride. Make sure to sit in front if you have a back condition or are pregnant, and definitely hold onto any hats or sunglasses. The views are breathtaking. Aside from the ranch itself, there's a buffet and cafe within the grounds, as well as a local produce grocer and gift shop. If you're entering Kualoa Ranch from the South side, the Google Maps pin indicates the midpart of the ranch, not the entrance, which is a mile further down the road to the left. I'd recommend buying tickets in advance online and arriving at least half an hour early, as it takes time to walk in and register. read more

I knew the two hour raptor tour is really famous so we were really excited for this. But we were so tired the day before so I wasn't really feeling the excitement on the day but our tour guy Johnny made everything so much better. He just had this great energy and enthusiasm to hype up all the people and just taught us so much about the culture in the language that I didn't know before. I came to appreciate Hawaii so much more after his guide. He really made the whole experience another level and I would love to have him again for our future tours. He was so friendly, so funny and just made this whole experience so memorable for us. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is coming to Oahu. Our other tour guide Nui was really good too. Did the advanced E-mountain bike tour and it was awesome!!! Great views, great group, and an all around good time. Probably one of the best things I did on the island in my week and a half stay. Our tour guide, Jessica was the best. Very knowledgeable and let us do all the things we wanted. Great experience and I would highly recommend to anyone that can ride a bike decently. read more
We did a group 2 hour raptor UTV tour with a group of 15 people. It was 4-5 to a UTV and it was about $152 per person. To be honest it was pretty lame. For that price I would think it'll be better, maybe even like some snacks or something included, but it wasn't anything great. The landscape was cool because a lot of films take place in Kualoa Ranch like the famous Jurassic park and hundreds of other films. We stopped 3 times and he spoke about some history. But for that price per person and 5 to a UTV, totally not worth it. I guess if you're a kid you'll find it fascinating. It was boring and it wasn't exactly 2 hours. It took 30 minutes to actually get going. The tour guy was extremely friendly and had good stories, but meh. We didn't see an ATV option. I wouldn't do this tour again. read more

Great experience! We booked the 2-hour UTV raptor tour. It was quite pricey but knowing the money goes into maintaining the beautiful habitat and supporting locals makes it worth it. Our tour guides were so so friendly and amazing at their job. They kept the atmosphere light and fun and still delivering history facts and info. The tour itself was pretty cool. We stopped a few times for photo ops and fun facts. Although fair warning, you'll get VERY dirty by the end. We went when it was dry and not raining so we just got super super dusty but I could imagine it being much more muddy when it rains. DRESS ACCORDINGLY. Overall, great time!! read more

Best activity we did while we were in Hawaii! So worth the money. We got to drive the UTV on our own but followed behind tour guides. Our tour guides were amazing and made the experience even better. While following behind the guides we got to see the beautiful scenery and they stopped a certain points where we were able to park and take photos and learn the history of the land. read more

Jaw dropping views and immense knowledge lies within the Kualoa Ranch I did the UTV Tour and was very pleased. You get to sit in the drivers seat and drive through numerous movie sets, like Jurassic Park, and take in the stunning views. Our tour guides were Mack and Dante, and I have to say they were awesome! The amount of knowledge they dispensed on the ranches history made for a very insightful tour. We also had some extra time at the end of our tour and they took us on another trail, which was pretty awesome! If you are ever make a trip down to the ranch, I would highly recommend doing the UTV Tour. read more

This was one of my favorite places to visit in Oahu. There were so many excursions to choose from. Even though I didn't sign up for the movie site tour, we still got to drive past some of the areas and our driver pointed some sites out. My favorite memory was zip lining. Our instructors were super friendly and helpful. My favorite meal through the whole trip had to be the garlic shrimp here. The shrimps were big, juicy, and had a lot of flavor. Would come back just for the food lol read more

Ioane was my tour guide for the Jurassic adventure tour. There's 5 stops to come down from the car and take pictures. He has an amazing toy dinosaur to add flavor to your photos & videos. He even had a QR code to provide with things to do and places to eat. Parking is plenty & free. I suggest doing any activities or tours early in the morning so it's not so hot read more
We did the Jurassic Adventure Tour. This is about a 2 hour + tour in an open sided truck. I suggest using the restroom before the tour.... there are no restrooms out in field. On a safety note, please wear the seat belt...it may get a bit bumpy.... but its worth it. Our guide Chris was awesome... great personality. He made the tour fun. He was really good in setting up the various movie set locations and what scenes were shot there. We covered various Jurassic Park movie franchise locations along with other movies shot on the property like 50 First Dates and episodes of Lost. We discussed the history of Kualoa Ranch and the work they do. read more

This place is amazing! The UTV tour was so fun and probably one of our favorite parts of the trip. We also had a quick bite to eat at the cafe ahead of our tour, good food and quick service. The UTV tour was about 2 hours, the guides were awesome - took photos for us if we needed, gave great info but not too much. Tour was set at a good pace and didn't feel too fast or too slow. Such amazing views! Definitely recommend this tour. read more

This review is specifically for the grown tour. The reservation said to arrive 45 mins prior to the start time. We were running late and ended up arriving 20 mins prior our start time. As we waited in line to check in, the staff were doing last calls for any tours that were about to start. That reassured us that we were still on time. I do recommend getting there at least 30 mins early since we felt rushed to check in and use the restroom/explore. The tour does leave right on time. I believe our tour guide's name was Anna(?) and she was very funny and engaging. Although she only worked there for less than 6 months, she knew so much about the farm and was very informative. It was fun to ride a trolley bus through the farm and see all the produce, fruits, plants and how their agriculture works. We were able to try two samples during the tour: fish with poi and raw cacao beans. I wish there were more opportunities to get off the bus and take photos. Can get boring at times but still a pretty cool experience. There are lots of other tours at this location so you can easily spend an entire day here. read more

Hands down the coolest experience ever! If you are in Hawaii you must go, no exceptions. We did the 2 hour UTV Raptor tour. For a family of 4 it was $715, but honestly worth every penny. First off wear clothes you don't care about because you will get dirty!! Upon arrival, you will check in, sign a waiver, and receive your helmet and a bandanna (for the dirt). You will watch a quick safety video and get assigned a UTV. They are super simple to ride, very similar to a golf cart. From there you will go on a 2 hour journey with 2 instructors. They will tell you about the history of the land, all the movies and shows that were filmed there, and are happy to take any pictures for you. The views are stunning and seeing the movie props left behind from Jurassic Park and Kong were super cool. This experience is great for any age. My parents, my sister and I all loved it, and it was a highlight of our trip. read more

Is there anything for a family with a 1 year old to do at the ranch?
The vip movie tour, they take u around in a van or there's one w a open view trolley
If there are 7 of us, would we get 2 raptors to ourselves? Or would they put strangers with us to fill up the raptors?
You should be able to get 2 UTVs. Each fits 3-4. You'll just have to book the self drive tours with a guide. Worth it! We had fun and didn't have to share a UTV since we had 3.
Debating on Jurassic adventure tour and 2 hour UTV raptor tour. Are they both similar stops and photo opportunities or ultimately the same? Or would it be recommended to maybe even do both if there are multiple differences?
We did both and loved it. Glad we did. Some is the same, but there were enough differences that we appreciated them. Different guides, so you get very different experiences. On the Jurassic Adventure you get to hang out longer at places, and…
We would like to do the UTV raptor and the Malama experience on the same day. Is there a recommended order for us to do the 2 tours?
I believe you could do both if you schedule first thing in the morning and the other early afternoon. It does make for a very full day, but would be worth it.
How do you get back to Wakiki if lyft/uber isn't avalible on the way back?
I think I saw a few buses on my way there from Waikiki. Not sure how often they run
Has anyone gotten motion sickness on the UTV trips, is it super winding, can you tell them to slow down if needed?
I get bouts of motion sickness occasionally and I had no issues, plus there are 4-5 stops along the tour where you get out and walk around for 10-15 minutes.…

Parking is free at the Ranch.
For the secret island how many other families are there during the same time on average?
When I went around 12:00 pm, it wasn't as crowded as Waikiki but there were a few families there but plenty of open space.
What is the difference between the Jurassic Adventure Tour ($139.99) and the Best of Kualoa Experience Package ($149.99) aside from the cost?

Trying to choose between the 2.5 hour jurassic tour or best of tour. We want to take pictures with the Jurassic park sites and kong sites. Is that possible with the 2.5 or movie sites tour? We don't mind spending the day here

Does the 2.5 hour jurassic tour also take you by the kong stuff?
Jurassic expedition is more time in the ATVs, and you only visit Jurassic Park filming sites. You briefly pass other movie sites while driving (Pearl Harbor, etc.) but don't learn anything about them or get out of the vehicle.

Would I be able to see the cafe from 50 first dates starting Adam sandler?
If I'm not mistaken, the cafe was built near the Secret beach area and it was removed after the film. We did the Ocean Voyage tour, and they mentioned it.
Who drives for the 2 hour ATV tour if there is no one over 21 in our group?
If you book the tour, you can talk to the ticket office to see if your guide can drive for you. We have done it before and I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem. If anything, call to book and explain you'd want a guide to drive for you if possible. 🤙🏻
I will purchase the Hawaii Go Pass which includes the 1/2 day at the secret beach? While there, I would like to book ATV raptor for our family of 5. What is best way to do both? Do beach first? How do they handle "half day" use?
We only did the secret island beach but I have to tell you that the words "1/2 day" are a misnomer. We got 2.5 hours on the beach and it goes really fast. The secret island was great but I would not equate 2.5 hours to half a day.

Which tour allows me to sight see film locations and get out and take photos? The ATV tour seems cool but it doesn't seem like there are chances to walk around/take photos. Which tour is best for that?
I did the ebike tour and I LOVED every minute of the tour!! Yes, you can off the bike and take pictures!!!
What time of day is the best time to go?
In the morning so you beat the crowds there and heading to lunch spots after.
