Worst place we ate at Hawaii. Breakfast quality felt like any other free breakfast at any hotel. Only they charge $50.00 per person. That's more than all you can eat sushi or all you can eat Korean bbq. For the high price, it was NOT worth $150.00 for 3 people. Selection choice was very limited. No sea food selection either.

I came for breakfast because the restaurant was in my hotel. The location is great right by the beach and they seated me next to the beach view. The hostess was warm and welcoming and seated me right a way. They had a very impressive buffet complete with chef making omelets. The buffet had three different bars one with fruit, entrees and beverages. I ordered from the menu, pancakes, ham, fresh fruit, and a mimosa. Breakfast was fresh, and great tasting. Service was excellent my server checked in and refreshed my coffee without having to be asked. Great way to start my day.

It was okay! Nothing terrible but nothing outlandishly great. Good service, though. We had a $150 hotel credit to use, which you could only redeem at the Kuhio Grill or Queensbreak (as far as dining). They did offer a breakfast buffet, however we opted to order breakfast alacarte I ordered the Mochi Waffle & my fiance ordered the steak and eggs, side of bacon, POG juice and coffee. Mochi waffle was good. It was soft and chewy as it should be. The berry compote was alright, maybe just not my cup of tea. But it was a big portion and it filled me up! I also had a POG juice as a beverage. My fiancé's steak and eggs were decent as well. Cooked medium, as requested, with over medium eggs. Bowl of fruit was ok, the one slice of pineapple was my favorite- juice and sweet! Wish it was just a bowl of the pineapple lol Honestly, there was nothing to complain about. The service was good! The server kept coming to check on us and always refilled my fiancé's coffee. Everything was good, just nothing to really rave about! Overall, it was a nice breakfast and you have a view of Waikiki Beach! Glad we had a resort credit, as I don't think I'd go out of my way to pay to eat here. (Our bill total was $101 and some change)

I went here twice for breakfast and chose the buffet option. It is on the more expensive side, but the food is good, and if you're already staying at Waikiki Marriott, then it is extremely convenient. For the buffet, they had certain items on rotation. For example, one day there were sausage links, while a different day they had Portuguese sausage in slices. There was consistently: rice, scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, omelette station, baked/pastry section, fruit bar, and cereal bar. Service was attentive and ambiance was casual. Buffett Prices: $48/adult $20/child 6-yr and up FREE for 5 and below (with paying adult)

Decided to try out this place located inside a Marriott hotel. Not too crowded and the view looking outside was beautiful as you can dine and watch sunset by the beach at the same time. A bit on the pricey side but understandably due to the location. The menu was limited but looked appealing. Ordered the Wagyu smash burger- with applewood smoked bacon, Maui onion jam, cheese, lettuce, tomato on toasted brioche accompanied by French fries and pickled veggies. as recommended by my very kind server. Definitely not disappointed. It was delicious and flavorful. The Maui onion jam took that burger to a whole new level! Wow! Look forward to coming here again. Remember when dining here, you need to show your vaccination card and ID.

Treat yourself to a breakfast buffet at the Kuhio Beach Grill located in the Marriott Hotel/Waikiki. There is a 20% kamaina discount. If you are an early riser, get there around 7-7:30 am when it's not crowded and you can choose where to sit. Very spacious area and seating arrangements are positioned for covid guidelines. There are the standard breakfast delights: bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, omelette station, pancakes/waffles (maple/coconut syrup, whip cream and chopped pineapple/strawberries) to top your waffles/pancakes,) dry cereals, oatmeal and their jasmine fried rice is onilicious. There are a variety of breads and pastries to choose from: white/brown bread, bagels and English muffins. Muffins/danish pastries and bread pudding. For beverages: coffee, apple, cranberry, orange and pog juices. AND. hot chocolate with whip cream. What a fantastic selection of beverages to choose from! The waiters/waitresses are very friendly and helpful with the aloha spirit! Don't miss out on this treat yourself!

During the December holiday time is when I went, and there seemed to be a line around 7:30am. If you're a party of 2, the wait isn't as long {or at least that was my experience the various times I went}. I got the Continental breakfast, which includes the omelette bar. The POG juice is delicious, and you can even get a cup to go! Of the fruits offered, the pineapple was the most flavorful. The sticky bun with nuts, bread pudding, and omelettes are must gets.

    Best seat in the house.

The staff is great. And attentive. They have a few tables up against the window. They put us there, and we loved the views. The food was great. Freshest passion fruits you can find. They have an egg station. The crème brûlée (to me it tasted like Filipino flan) and the papaya dressing are the must tries!

Kuhio Beach Grill offered a lovely Christmas Eve spread. All the typical offerings that you would expect: prime rib, snow crab legs, chilled seafood, etc. Grilled scallops were a highlight for me. Service was great and attentive. Located at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. I would happily visit again during my next stay!

The fabulous options at the Buffet, also a custom omelet choice.

The food was amazing. The buffet had so many options. Our server was constantly checking on us in a great way.

    Havin a great time.

This review was long procrastinated, our visit here was before the covid-19 constraints. But, this place was a blast! Food was sooo fresh reminded me of the very missed Willows buffet but with a much more gorgeous atmosphere and view. Service was incredible, awesome variety of food and just can't say enough on how ono it was! So if you're looking for a good , fresh buffet style dinner with an epic setting try this place out!

We took our girlfriend here for a belated birthday dinner. All of us were tired from traveling all day and decided on eating somewhere decent closest to our hotel. We found this spot via Yelp and decided to give it a go. This restaurant is located in the Waikiki Marriott and pretty easy to find if you follow all the signs. I try not to give one or two stars if I could avoid it but this joint was really not that great. The food was tasteless, price for each person was way too high for what the buffet offers, and the service was mediocre. For a party of 5, we paid over $300 (including gratuity) for food that had barely any flavor. Overpriced and poor quality buffet options. Y'all could definitely find a different spot to drop $300+ for a party of 5. Adding an extra star because the slice of cake for the birthday girl was beautifully presented.

Is the buffet up and running again?

No. It's sit down / menu style for now.

Do they have raw oysters and deep fried shrimp on the weekends?

Not that I saw the three times I have been on the weekends. The had oyster linguini once.

When can you use the check in offer "50% off prime rib buffet" and does that include the seafood?

They'll honor it Monday thru Thursday..prime rib is offered everyday as part of their nightly buffet, however on Friday Saturday and Sunday, the buffet is a Prime Rib and seafood buffet so they don't honor the check in offer on those days.

Is this a Buffet? And how much is it per person please?

I know their dinners are all prime rib buffets. Weeknights (Mon-Thurs) were running $42 & Friday/Sat/Sun includes snow crab so it's more expensive, around $48. You should call to confirm pricing because holiday dinners are more expensive & do not… Read more

We got there pretty early and it was less than 10 minutes before our waitress by the name of Jackie had taken our drink orders fairly simple she had been very accommodating ... In most of the orders we did have she had been very exceptional, and she also took the time out to consider certain detail details like my sparkling water for instance ... I finished off two whole glasses of sparkling water and she had went ahead and made a third as a takeout container for me... The Wagyu burger I ordered had been very good. It had a great texture throughout. I had asked for it to be medium well done and it was spot on whoever the chef was on June 15, 2026 at about 1 PM had made my burger exactly to the specifications I asked. Our table of eight had went ahead and shared a selection of three desserts. I personally felt the chocolate cake would've been a little bit heavy so I didn't have too much of that, but it had a very good taste. I did really enjoy the crème brûlée that pineapple crème brûlée had a very noticeable creamy delicious taste of freshness with the cream ... it might possibly be my favorite dessert at a restaurant and I may just come back to have just that... the piña colada cake was super moist and that was also very delicious... The ambience had been very good. There wasn't too much music being played, but it was quiet overall very noticeable on the crowd. There was not a very big crowd at all during our lunch reservation and perhaps that's why everything went smoothly. Jackie had been very good she had accommodated everyone --let everyone know when their orders were coming out if it was coming out late and she had been consistent with water and or drinks, especially with my sparkling water. I feel that this would be a great venue to go to the second floor is where the fire pit is and I feel that that would be a great place for a hang out to get drinks late at night and to hang with friends Again, thank you, Jackie, our waitress had been exceptional. I highly recommend that anyone who goes for lunch to accommodate Jackie as your waitress. ... thank you Tommy Bahamas for a great service and lunch team outting.

Taste, presentation, service, ambiance -- MĀZE really had it all nailed down. If there's one meal you should book for your trip, make it MĀZE. Although the menu looks short, it is deceptively filling. You start off your meal with a few amuse bouche bites. It's really a wonderful start, because the salmon toast was one of the best bites I had all night. The smoked salmon was melt in your mouth tender and the toast was fried to perfection. Another bite I really enjoyed early on was their "Fat bastard" oyster. I've never had this type of oyster before, but this one was especially plump, sweet, and had just the right amount of brininess to it. There's honestly not a single straightforward bite across the courses: everything has layers upon layers of flavor and a complexity that really accentuates the talent of the head chef. After the first course, there's an option to add a supplemental course for $34 -- a "Wagyu musubi". I cannot emphasize enough that this addition is a must. If you're coming as a couple, it's large enough that you're able to share a single one so that each person gets two bites. This bite is as delicious as it looks. The Wagyu is rich and fatty, and the crispy nori is the textural element that breaks up the melt-in-your-mouth texture of the beef. The tare delicately brushed on top adds a bit of saltiness to the dish and doesn't take away from the enjoyment and appreciation of the Wagyu itself. Another bite that I'll forever remember is the Jeju abalone dish. Served over a bed of finely minced edamame and served in a chicken jus, the dish had sweet, savory, umami, and all the right textures. I ate this dish especially slowly because I wanted to savor each and every bite for as long as possible. The abalone is tender and cooked perfectly -- not rubbery whatsoever. I overheard a chef saying that the tasting menu changes every month, and we had visited when they were mid-cycle. I believe some of the permanent menu items include the bourbon barrel smoked salmon toast and the wagyu musubi, but I really hope to see the Jeju abalone dish again someday when I visit in the future. Since MĀZE is from the the duo behind the famous cocktail bar -- Bar Leather Apron, just down the street, you would expect nothing less than extraordinary cocktails for the cocktail pairing. I can confidently say that there was not a single drink pairing that I was disappointed with -- both on the alcoholic and non-alcoholic side. My favorite cocktail of the night was their take on an Old Fashioned that was served with the Washugyu flat iron galbi course. I simply cannot say enough good things about MĀZE. Do yourself a favor and book a reservation right after you book your plan tickets to Oahu -- you won't regret it.

My fave foods were the charred lettuce that came with the meat course and the shave ice was superb - corn syrup and plenty of black sesame it was not too sweet and so refreshing! Overall a very special meal and a place to keep in the rotation for special occasions. I'd say definitely go with the cocktail pairings bc that is what makes this place unique. Also if you want to get some courses with a mocktail instead of getting all four as cocktails they will accommodate that - then you don't need to get as tipsy. I wanted to try all the cocktails so I just didn't end up finishing each drink - not bc they weren't delicious, they were! I just didn't want to go past pleasantly buzzed. We didn't get any add ons and were still full by the end of the meal. Clean bathrooms and bright space and awesome service. Not a single misstep.

There were wine specials and I took advantage of this offering, choosing a 2023 Beaune Boucherottes from Louis Jadot. Our server (Malama) brought a 2021, which was great from my perspective. This wine sells for $180 and was listed at $177; what a deal! We chose Bone Marrow ($32), Beets and Strawberry Salad ($28) as our starters. Entrees were the Butchers Cut, which offered Filet, Ribeye or NY Strip ($70). I chose the NY strip and ordered Foie Gras ($32) to accompany it. Our other entrée was the Huli Hainan Chicken Plate ($42). Malama told us the Foie Gras was a mousse, so I asked her to bring it out with the other two appetizers. The Bone Marrow plate came with two halves of bone and four pieces of toasted ciabatta. The Foie Gras dish was interesting ... Three piped dollops of foie gras mousse, with three quenelles of a pineapple mostarda and a plate of Madeleines. The Beets & Strawberry Salad was a visual and taste treat ... It was my favorite of the three starters. The foie gras atop the Madeleine was too sweet for our palates; it was much more successful on the toasted ciabatta that accompanied the bone marrow. The NY Strip came sliced, with another bone marrow and mashed potatoes. The Hainan Chicken came with ginger scallion rice, lomi tomato chile, dark soy (which was very watery), slices of cucumber and cilantro. The chicken was the least successful dish we've had here. I give the executive chef kudos to add variety to the menu. The steak came with a container of miso bordelaise ... I thought it was okay, my tablemate didn't like it. I tried the foie gras mousse on pieces of steak ... It was okay. We had the steak and chicken dishes boxed and perused the dessert menu. I don't usually eat dessert so the decision on what to order is left to my fellow foodie. She chose the Flourless Chocolate Cake ($16); I asked for a cup of coffee ($11). The cake was rich and dense, almost like fudge. We boxed that up ... My fellow foodie has enough food for next week. What did we think? The décor is pretty much the same as when it operated as La Vie, except for the addition of black tablecloths. There was a pianist playing near the bar ... That added a nice touch to the ambience of the place. Service was fine but not what we were looking for. We gave Solera a rating of 4 (perhaps a touch under).
