Worst place we ate at Hawaii. Breakfast quality felt like any other free breakfast at any hotel. Only they charge $50.00 per person. That's more than all you can eat sushi or all you can eat Korean bbq. For the high price, it was NOT worth $150.00 for 3 people. Selection choice was very limited. No sea food selection either.

I came for breakfast because the restaurant was in my hotel. The location is great right by the beach and they seated me next to the beach view. The hostess was warm and welcoming and seated me right a way. They had a very impressive buffet complete with chef making omelets. The buffet had three different bars one with fruit, entrees and beverages. I ordered from the menu, pancakes, ham, fresh fruit, and a mimosa. Breakfast was fresh, and great tasting. Service was excellent my server checked in and refreshed my coffee without having to be asked. Great way to start my day.

I went here twice for breakfast and chose the buffet option. It is on the more expensive side, but the food is good, and if you're already staying at Waikiki Marriott, then it is extremely convenient. For the buffet, they had certain items on rotation. For example, one day there were sausage links, while a different day they had Portuguese sausage in slices. There was consistently: rice, scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, omelette station, baked/pastry section, fruit bar, and cereal bar. Service was attentive and ambiance was casual. Buffett Prices: $48/adult $20/child 6-yr and up FREE for 5 and below (with paying adult)

It was okay! Nothing terrible but nothing outlandishly great. Good service, though. We had a $150 hotel credit to use, which you could only redeem at the Kuhio Grill or Queensbreak (as far as dining). They did offer a breakfast buffet, however we opted to order breakfast alacarte I ordered the Mochi Waffle & my fiance ordered the steak and eggs, side of bacon, POG juice and coffee. Mochi waffle was good. It was soft and chewy as it should be. The berry compote was alright, maybe just not my cup of tea. But it was a big portion and it filled me up! I also had a POG juice as a beverage. My fiancé's steak and eggs were decent as well. Cooked medium, as requested, with over medium eggs. Bowl of fruit was ok, the one slice of pineapple was my favorite- juice and sweet! Wish it was just a bowl of the pineapple lol Honestly, there was nothing to complain about. The service was good! The server kept coming to check on us and always refilled my fiancé's coffee. Everything was good, just nothing to really rave about! Overall, it was a nice breakfast and you have a view of Waikiki Beach! Glad we had a resort credit, as I don't think I'd go out of my way to pay to eat here. (Our bill total was $101 and some change)

Decided to try out this place located inside a Marriott hotel. Not too crowded and the view looking outside was beautiful as you can dine and watch sunset by the beach at the same time. A bit on the pricey side but understandably due to the location. The menu was limited but looked appealing. Ordered the Wagyu smash burger- with applewood smoked bacon, Maui onion jam, cheese, lettuce, tomato on toasted brioche accompanied by French fries and pickled veggies. as recommended by my very kind server. Definitely not disappointed. It was delicious and flavorful. The Maui onion jam took that burger to a whole new level! Wow! Look forward to coming here again. Remember when dining here, you need to show your vaccination card and ID.

Treat yourself to a breakfast buffet at the Kuhio Beach Grill located in the Marriott Hotel/Waikiki. There is a 20% kamaina discount. If you are an early riser, get there around 7-7:30 am when it's not crowded and you can choose where to sit. Very spacious area and seating arrangements are positioned for covid guidelines. There are the standard breakfast delights: bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, omelette station, pancakes/waffles (maple/coconut syrup, whip cream and chopped pineapple/strawberries) to top your waffles/pancakes,) dry cereals, oatmeal and their jasmine fried rice is onilicious. There are a variety of breads and pastries to choose from: white/brown bread, bagels and English muffins. Muffins/danish pastries and bread pudding. For beverages: coffee, apple, cranberry, orange and pog juices. AND. hot chocolate with whip cream. What a fantastic selection of beverages to choose from! The waiters/waitresses are very friendly and helpful with the aloha spirit! Don't miss out on this treat yourself!

The staff is great. And attentive. They have a few tables up against the window. They put us there, and we loved the views. The food was great. Freshest passion fruits you can find. They have an egg station. The crème brûlée (to me it tasted like Filipino flan) and the papaya dressing are the must tries!

Over priced shitty food. Sorry for my language, for the prize. Never again. I askers for a drink that took 30 minutes

Banana bread, sticky bun with nuts, bread pudding, and creme brulee.

During the December holiday time is when I went, and there seemed to be a line around 7:30am. If you're a party of 2, the wait isn't as long {or at least that was my experience the various times I went}. I got the Continental breakfast, which includes the omelette bar. The POG juice is delicious, and you can even get a cup to go! Of the fruits offered, the pineapple was the most flavorful. The sticky bun with nuts, bread pudding, and omelettes are must gets.

Kuhio Beach Grill offered a lovely Christmas Eve spread. All the typical offerings that you would expect: prime rib, snow crab legs, chilled seafood, etc. Grilled scallops were a highlight for me. Service was great and attentive. Located at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. I would happily visit again during my next stay!

    Havin a great time.

This review was long procrastinated, our visit here was before the covid-19 constraints. But, this place was a blast! Food was sooo fresh reminded me of the very missed Willows buffet but with a much more gorgeous atmosphere and view. Service was incredible, awesome variety of food and just can't say enough on how ono it was! So if you're looking for a good , fresh buffet style dinner with an epic setting try this place out!

The fabulous options at the Buffet, also a custom omelet choice.

The food was amazing. The buffet had so many options. Our server was constantly checking on us in a great way.

We took our girlfriend here for a belated birthday dinner. All of us were tired from traveling all day and decided on eating somewhere decent closest to our hotel. We found this spot via Yelp and decided to give it a go. This restaurant is located in the Waikiki Marriott and pretty easy to find if you follow all the signs. I try not to give one or two stars if I could avoid it but this joint was really not that great. The food was tasteless, price for each person was way too high for what the buffet offers, and the service was mediocre. For a party of 5, we paid over $300 (including gratuity) for food that had barely any flavor. Overpriced and poor quality buffet options. Y'all could definitely find a different spot to drop $300+ for a party of 5. Adding an extra star because the slice of cake for the birthday girl was beautifully presented.

Ask the Community - Kuhio Beach Grill

Is the buffet up and running again?

No. It's sit down / menu style for now.

Do they have raw oysters and deep fried shrimp on the weekends?

Not that I saw the three times I have been on the weekends. The had oyster linguini once.

When can you use the check in offer "50% off prime rib buffet" and does that include the seafood?

They'll honor it Monday thru Thursday..prime rib is offered everyday as part of their nightly buffet, however on Friday Saturday and Sunday, the buffet is a Prime Rib and seafood buffet so they don't honor the check in offer on those days.

Is this a Buffet? And how much is it per person please?

I know their dinners are all prime rib buffets. Weeknights (Mon-Thurs) were running $42 & Friday/Sat/Sun includes snow crab so it's more expensive, around $48. You should call to confirm pricing because holiday dinners are more expensive & do not…

The indoor seating is nice but if you're lucky to get one of the outdoor seats, it's got a beautiful view of the ocean. The service both times was ver good. I think this is one of the nicest Sunday brunches anywhere. The cost is a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it. The quality of the shellfish, sushi and hot proteins are all great. To be fair, we feel the brunch is good, but dinner is overpriced and the portions are much too small when ordering from a set menu. We hosted a large party with 2 tables and we met with Orchids marketing 4 times on the positioning of the tables and when we arrived for the dinner the 2nd table was not close to the main one at all so we were not able to celebrate with both tables. The salad was fine, but honestly, it was a serving portion fit for a toddler. The bread was okay, not great, not freshly heated, a bit stale. The tomato bisque was too concentrated, though tasty, it should have been thinned before serving. The crouton was fine that topped it. The main entrees of seabass were tiny and dry and not enough sauce to offset the dryness --he steak was just okay, and very, very small. The proteins were not served with anything else on the plate which exaggerated the tiny portion and I heard guests laughing at the tiny portion in the middle of the large plate. Why not serve a green veggie or potato serving with the main? That is cost effective and the guest would have more food. I am a very small eater and I was appalled that the average person there would not have enough to eat. Then the coconut cake came. Tasty, but tiny, again. They cut less than half of the cake that we ordered and boxed the rest up for us to take home! Ridiculous! Should have cut bigger slices the first time. The math was easy and the guests were starving. What an extreme disappointment for almost $4000 after tax and gratuities! Come on, that is a terrible value and I suppose that is a venue tax for having a great view while dining on tiny, tiny portions. We entertain quite a lot and we will not book another dinner here as everyone had to get something to eat after the meal to fill up. I was totally embarrassed and pissed off simultaneously. Save your hard-earned money and go anywhere else and do not host a special dinner here!

On TOP OF THAT, the waitress didn't get our cheesecake order correct! We went home with dessert I didn't want, couldn't eat, and didn't want to try. Super annoyed and upset buy the cost, and wrong order. Second- it took quite a while to get some meats to make its round to us, while other tables were being served- and yes, we had the green side of the card facing up. We were constantly offered sausage and chicken for the first 45 minutes, we ate things from the salad bar to pass the time, by the time the flanks and steaks came our way, we were full. We tried to wave the meat cutters by, but they serviced the other table around us and skipped right over us. However, when some of them finally made its way to us, it was good in flavor and texture. We didn't see the ribs until the end of the night. Wish we could have tried that. But it was not offered to our table. Food is good, but being misinformed about dessert, and the waiting for food and our overall bill for the little we were able to eat... I feel cheated on the experience.

I see the new huge poster out front, every time I stop at the bakery next door, the family meal with 6 items sounds great, reasonable. I decided to make it easy for me with few stops to grab this for Super Bowl Sunday. I called that morning to place my order. There are no photos of the family set on Yelp so Your welcome, if you decide to order this set, Please think twice, it sounds like a great deal but not. I/my family was very disappointed. I picked the 6 items, now keep in mind it says "Family Meal Deal" when you get your items, family - ? don't think it will be enough to feed your family depending on how many is in your family. I got the 6 items for $55.95 and paid $8. for Chow fun. The 6 item choice I picked were : fish filet ( got the wrong order) roast duck, string beans, ginger chicken, sweet sour pork, and chicken wings. What a surprise when I opened up the bag to set up for our Super Bowl spread, they were cute little take out containers like the kind you would use for leftovers at the Chinese restaurant. They weren't even filled to the top. It was little like sample dishes. Wow. also the food did not taste fresh, all the food I got tasted like they were reheated, except for the chicken wings. The chow fun was a regular portion but it was on the oily side. I hope Hawaii99 Take Out Express takes down the huge poster in front, its very misleading and false advertisement. I have another review to write regarding my family dinners, this will be continued- will update. I just want to get this out there in case you want to get the family meal deal. Its really a joke! Hopefully when we come back Kristy will still be here so I can request for her. Thank you HJ and Kristy ! We will definitely be back soon !

After walking through the Byodo-In Temple about 10 minutes away we decided to have a great dinner…read moreat Haleiwa Joe's. This location opens at 4pm and does not take any reservations but we had very little wait, 25 minutes, even arriving at 4:05pm with a line already formed. While waiting for our table we made our way down to the garden and walked around and enjoyed the turtles and fish in the little lake they have. This is a great photo opportunity. Once our table was ready we were seated and our server came over quickly to get our drink orders and any appetizers we wanted to put in. Their poke and island ceviche were delicious. They also provide complimentary bread with guava butter that was amazing. Since I was celebrating my birthday I decided to go for the prime rib that many have compared to a steak out of the prehistoric era. It was cooked perfectly and the potatoes and green beans were great sides. This will definitely be a place I return to with friends and family due to how great the service was and the beautiful view and delicious food. The best part of the night was the Liliko'i Crème Brulee. I cannot wait to go back for more.
