I see a lot of people complain about things like the app, incorrect orders, but Matt and his team work hard to deliver. Sam, gentlemen with longer bleached hair first messed up our drinks and I said don't worry and I waited longer for my daughters Taro. It came out as a Taro over ice. It was supposed to be blended. I nicely told the gentlemen (Sam), who I guess is the manager) that it is supposed to be blended. He said go back in line and reorder. I stated that I will pay the difference if that is the problem but I am not paying for a whole other order. I had 2 drinks and one came out blended and the other did not. I also mentioned this to him and he completely disregarded. They didn't care. Lost a customer over 5 dollars. It's the principle. It is bad business. There was soooo many choices I felt over whelmed at first but stayed with my favorite flavor and went for the Chai. The lactose free chai bubble tea did not disappoint. The only negative thing I would say is it was pretty loud in there and hot. I went their for a first date and had to leave for a walk to chat because it was so noisy. I have been to Kung Fu Teas in many different states and I have to say that this one is ELITE! The drinks are incredible and they have more options than any other bubble tea place I've been to in the area - if you look at my reviews you'll know I'm trying to find the perfect one. During my first trip there, I got a piña colada slushy, which is out of the ordinary for me, but it was amazing! I felt like I was in Cancun again! Frequently, piña colada drinks have a very artificial taste but this tasted great. The second time I went, I tried a matcha sesame seed latte and I absolutely loved it! I would say in general matcha and anything with sesame seeds in it is an acquired taste, but if you like either of those you will love this drink! There's plenty of seating inside too and all the employees were masked, which was great. There's also some outdoor seating. I think this is going to be my regular boba tea place! read more

Finally Kung Fu Tea in Novi! Newly opened so the place is super clean and nice inside. We've decided to take an advantage of grand opening special, buy one get one free (limited tea choices, and ended at 5/17 @ 5pm). Staff were super friendly and nice to the customers in spite of getting the same questions over and over. Novi store has one cashier person entering orders, while multiple team members prepping the teas. I've been to stores with multiple iPad stands for people to enter the orders (along with a cashier person entering order for you) to reduce wait time. I've ordered several KF black milk tea with different add-on. One with bubbles and coconut jelly, bubbles and mango jelly, and bubbles with herb jelly. All tasted great! I like mine with zero (no) sugar and light on ice. Without any added sugar/syrup, I think the sweetness is just right where you can really taste the flavor of the tea. Also keeping it less ice helps getting your tea to dilute. Bubbles were nice and soft and jelly had nice texture. It's a bit of luxury for paying $5/tea (considering you can buy 1 pint of upper-end ice cream for around $4), but I keep going back at least 1x month! Good thing I don't go to coffee shop often ;). Good overall service. I'm from California and we call it Boba so I'm still getting used to saying bubbles and not boba. For a new place, I usually try the most basic thing on the menu kinda like a control in an experiment. I ordered the milk tea, half sweet and less ice. This place is just as incredible as the Kung Fu Tea location in Sterling Heights. It's run by the same owner and it's consistently amazing every time I come here. The level of excellence they use to make their drinks is a secret few boba joints can claim. I try to limit my boba consumption to twice a week because Lord knows I can easily become addicted and drink it every day. Every time I crave my favorite boba drinks, I come to this location because they're conveniently less than twenty minutes from my home. I like to get the honey milk tea with boba and the Wintermelon Lemonade with lychee jelly. The latter drink is super refreshing and tarte whereas the honey milk tea is incredibly creamy and sweet so it's the perfect contrast especially if you're sharing with someone. You get the best of both worlds. I must add that the location is fantastic because Twelve Oaks Mall is about 5 minutes away. Grab a drink here before beginning your shopping excursion. I've been to many bubble tea places before and the service at this place was terrible. They messed up my order by not adding boba to my tea so I went back to the counter and told them they forgot it and they try to charge me an extra 50 cents. Usually if they mess up the order then they should fix it without charging you more money. I had no change on me and they were gonna charge it to my card just for 50 cents. Absolutely ridiculous. Thankfully one of the guys in charge heard me complaining about how usually they would just fix the drink and not try to charge more so he just gave it to me. I get that this place is new but they need to learn common courtesies, especially if they want people coming back or recommending their place. I did call back and the manager offered a free drink after explaining my situation. On a different note the tea was very good usually Kung Fu Tea has quality drinks. The boba was cooked well and the tea was potent. The medium size ended up being almost $5 and looked like a small. A bit overpriced in my opinion. read more

Also all the patrons had masks as did three employees.
