Stop by on a night out while visiting friends in the Portland area, and I was quite impress with my experience. My friend said the spot is popular for take out, and he hadn't actually sat down for dinner before. I can confirm that during our visit there was constant traffic of pick up orders. This is definitely a hidden gem in Portland. The restaurant/bar space is relatively small and cozy. We sat at the bar and the owner took good care of us. We had an order to the spicy wings and fried rice with veggies and chicken. The food was super flavorful. I cannot wait to be back in town and try more dishes and enjoy some takeout.

Fast, easy pickup! Got exactly what I wanted. Good quality chicken, nice sauce-- subtle flavor but classic

What a hidden gem! I found Kuno when I was vacationing in the area and was interested in trying some good Asian food. Kuno meets the mark! The restaurant isn't too large, but has an intimate, luxurious aesthetic. The bar area is dim and relaxing, great for date nights! The dining area is cozy and not too cramped. I enjoyed sitting next to the window and people watching! My server was very friendly and quick. He catered to my needs and provided prompt, but attentive service. I ordered the Korean Wings, Pork Dumplings, and Pad Thai. The wings were some of the best Korean wings I've ever had. I am usually suspicious when it comes to Korean chicken wings, because they're usually far too spicy and coated in too much breading. Kuno has the perfect balance! The breading was light and didn't take away from the star of the show: the sauce! The sauce is spice forward but ends with a sweetness that is incredibly cohesive. They make for a great appetizer alongside the pork dumplings. Those seared dumplings are SO yummy and I enjoyed the dipping sauce it came with. The taste reminds me of soup dumplings. It has a rich, velvety, umami flavor that is to die for. The Pad Thai was also great! Not as spicy as I'd expected, and came with WAY more bean sprouts than I'd hoped. However, the flavor is delicious and it's a huge portion size. I added shrimp and chicken to mine, as it usually only has tofu. I highly recommend Kuno. Whether you dine in or order take out, you will be satisfied!

This place is a hidden gem. Great cocktails and appetizers. Such a cool bar vibe inside and the Char Kway Teow was fantastic!!

One of the best meals I've had lately! We ordered the Brussels sprouts, nasi goreng, and char kway teow and all were excellent and full of flavor. Additionally, prices are very reasonable and it's easy to find free street parking around the restaurant. This place is such a hidden gem.

This place deserves more customers! There was only one other table on a Friday night but most of us were Asian, so you know the food is going to be good. It's a small menu but everything looked like solid options. We enjoyed the Char Kway Teow (chewy wide noodles with shrimp, Chinese sausage and bean sprouts) and stir-fry ground chicken with basil and a fried egg. The noodle dish was like elevated Pad See Ew and we loved the sweet-saltiness of the sausage. The stir fry had a wonderful spiciness level - not too much to overpower the flavors of the dish. Great prices too. If we lived here, we'd be regulars.

The place small, quaint and perfect for a rainy day comfort food. (Pictured below) We both really enjoyed our food and proportions.

We love this place! A little off the trendy beaten tracks (of Washington Ave and the Commercial St. waterfront) but well worth the trip. We have spent time in Singapore (probably the best place to eat in the world...) and it is so nice to have authentic food from Southeast Asia here in Portland. The char kway teow (fried wide rice noodles (++) with shrimp) and the chicken wings are especially good, but everything we ordered was authentic and delicious! Our son LOVED their chicken sandwich. Very reasonably priced too. They do a pretty good takeout business, but we really like the ambience of the place; it doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is very nice -- simply and comfortably appointed -- for sit-down dining. The small staff is extremely nice (and efficient!

Fabulous Thai food in a great space to sit and eat, and also a beautiful bar. Sophisticated setting with reasonable prices. Loved the Thai basil lemonade, Pad Thai was fresh and not dried out, all the food was as good as New York. An added plus was the classic big band music in the background, not too loud, just right.

You can really taste the care and authenticity in every dish. We stopped here for dinner during our Portland trip, and my husband and I ordered a bunch of dishes to share so we could try as much as possible. We had different types of skewers, quail eggs, calamari, beef panang, and stir-fried noodles. And of course, we had to finish with their famous black sticky rice with coconut. There wasn't a single bad dish. Everything was delicious, well seasoned, and tasted authentic. Each dish had its own unique flavor profile, and nothing felt boring or one dimensional. The ambiance was also really cute and cozy, making it a great spot for a date night or a nice dinner with someone special. The service was phenomenal too. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and incredibly fast without making us feel rushed. Honestly, I'd come back to Portland just to eat here again. Definitely a must try if you're looking for flavorful, authentic Thai food!

Kra Pao chicken was delicious too. Grilled rice ball was meh, too salty. Desserts were ok, nothing too crazy. Pro tip: there's a public parking spot a block away, made parking much easier vs trying to find a street parking.

One thing we still haven't tried are the cocktails. Do not pass up the seasonal soft serve! I also remember their T-shirts being super cute. I'll probably stop by again the next time I'm up in Portland. Parking can be tricky with street parking, though there are paid lots. Overall Service: I don't think I've had a bad experience here. Close to more bars for extra drinks, easy to run into other friends. Also, it's a beautiful spot with outdoor seating in the warmer months. Each plate had so many great textures and flavors. We did experience a long wait between ordering, getting food, and receiving the check. It was a busy summer night so I wasn't upset, but do not plan on having a quick meal here. Get cozy, get an extra drinks and enjoy your time here. It's great when I get to eat in a vegetarian or Vegan restaurant and they're able to ask the check what they recommend for very low sodium! This never happens at any of the chain restaurants! First thing to note is that the menu seems to have changed substantially, offering more Thai-adjacent and pan-Asian food than authentically Thai food. I ordered their coconut soup (Tom Kha; $10) to start and a local mushroom bowl as my main--both vegan by default. It took a while for the food to come out--maybe 20 mins for the soup and another 15 for the main. The soup was nicely seasoned, maybe being a bit too thick, and not allowing the galangal/lime leaf to breathe as much as it should. But I liked how it came with red pepper, tomato, mushroom and tofu. The main was not really Thai at all, coming with a rather stingy portion of tempeh, two kinds of mushrooms, red pepper, Lima beans, and microgreens. Reasonably seasoned but just not that interesting. Overall, disappointing relative to my previous experience, but still pretty good.

Lovely decor, even the bathroom is stunning! Clearly a lot of care has been taken on the inside and it shows. A small, intimate experience, but comfy tables and chairs and great staff. The menu is delightful and has a range of usual favorites - Satay, Cucumber Salad, Pad Thai, etc. But, they also have some other dishes I hadn't seen and have a sauce flight option that was cute to get with your fried chicken. We chose a Papaya salad, chicken wings, crying tiger, and a chicken red curry. The papaya salad was stellar. It was a bit spicy but not too much and was so fresh and delicious, I will dream about it! My husband loved the wings and literally devoured all of them. His steak was perfectly cooked and delicious as well. My curry was also perfect - loaded with fresh veggies of which the eggplant was my favorite. Our server, Anna, was wonderful and sweet and very good with our toddler. They had a nice dessert menu with some delicious items available and a specialty coconut cake I really wanted but hubs wanted to get soft serve elsewhere with our toddler. I left with a Thai tea to go that was stellar. All in all - a 10 out of 10!
