But if u get the samosas make sure to keep the sauces they give u after ur order and use them as dipping sauces for the samosa they are so good! So I came back here for lunch with my husband and have concluded that their food is not consistent at all! I got the non-veg thali which is a curry sampler. This includes 2 meat curries, 3 veg curries, a samosa, rice, raita, and kheer. It's a round dish with little sections for each. There was def enough food for the 2 of us. The problem was that every curry except the chana masala was SWEET! It was awful. Even the 2 repeat dishes from our previous dinner here tasted NOTHING like it when we had it before: chicken tikka and saag paneer (was overly salty last time). This time everything was sweet. The other meat dish was some goat dish where the meat was bone dry but also sweet. We wished there was more chana masala since that was the only normal tasting thing... We also got 2 mango lassis and they were SO sweet they were practically undrinkable. This is surprising cuz my husband loves sweet desserts/drinks and will usually never complain. Came here for the lunch special with a Groupon. I'm not sure whether they were spiteful that I tried to maximize the value out of my Groupon but I'm 110% never returning here even with a Groupon. I ordered lamb saagwala and over 50% of the meat was pure fat. The saagwala was also extremely buttered and fatty. Not sure why this place doesn't have 5 stars, this is my GO TO Indian place. The food is sooooo good, legit gets better and better every time I eat it. Full disclosure I haven't eaten in the restaurant, have only ordered delivery to my couch, so can't comment on service. So I highly recommend ordering the saag paneer, Chana masala, bhengen burtha and Gobi Manchurian. I recently tried the gobi Manchurian and it instantly became one of my favorites. I've also had daal makhani, aloo ghobi and paneer makhani I think that's what it called..anyway all good but I would still stick with the previously mentioned 4. I've been here twice...first time we ordered 2 Thalis, lamb biryani, mango lassi, and naan. I don't recommend the lassi, I thought it would be the more homemade version, but the one they serve here is the bright orange one straight out a gallon. Next, the Thalis...some of the currys were EXTREMELY salty salty salty, especially the chickpeas. Neither one of us could finish more than a few bites of our curries and had to take everything to go. The lamb biryani was a good portion, tasty but very spicy even though we ordered mild. Nice helpful coupon. The second time I came, I used the coupon again for biryani and naan, and my total came to 11.54. I can't say enough good things about Kurry Wallah. We have been visiting for around ten years and have never been disapointed. We usually come during off-peak hours so service quality has been excellent, but even when they are busy service is still very good. We've tried the buffet.. It's adequate but not as spicy as we like. But as the manager explained, the spice level on buffets needs to be low enough for the average diner. And the freshness of the buffet depends on turnover. On a slow day, it won't be as fresh. So if you're looking for fresh, well spiced Indian food order from the menu. If you're in a hurry or want variety, the buffet will be just fine. Everything we have ordered from the menu over the years has been good to excellent. Garlic naan is wonderful. My personal favorite is chicken vindaloo, extra spicy. Be careful, because it WILL be EXTRA spicy. Chicken chetinad is subtly spiced..wonderful. Finally the owners. Their business has improved continually over the years. They are friendly and kind. The food is excellent. The curry is delicious but be careful if you are not accustomed to spicy food. The medium spice, although tasty, can be considered very spicy by some. The rice and the naan are good and the portions are large. As far as service, everyone on the staff was friendly but it may take a little while for refills. Parking can be difficult. read more

They lost another star because I had to contact Eat24 to get them to call the restaurant to find out if my food was even going to arrive at all. They lost another star because when the delivery person came to my door it seemed like a huge inconvenience to her to have to be delivering my order. Kurrywalah prepared the most delicious and amazing takeout dinner for our family of 6 last night including a bottle of wine! Everything was meticulously prepared and easy to put together for an at-home gourmet meal. SO BUMMED. I was looking for a routine Indian food location in Cypress given my love for Indian food and that my best friend back home is from Nepal and owns a restaurant herself. First experience with the owner was FANTASTIC- he came over to introduce himself to me individually and spoke with me for a while. Second experience- 3 days later... Order same dishes to have a working lunch with leftovers. Daughter tells me that she is related to the owner. When its time to pack up I ask for a foil container to put a large amount of left over Biryani in... I am told that they are too expensive to be used to pack up 'in house dining' and I can split it between two Styrofoam containers... verbatim "We only use those for 'to go' orders because they're too expensive"... OK. I am planning to spend close to 100.00 in your establishment and I cant have a 'fancy' foil 'to go' container?! On top of it... I got to sit here during my lunch and hear one member of the staff talk to the other waitstaff about his salary and how he wants to die? So... Call suicide hotline or what? Ultimately I was told my card didn't work when slid through the system and that there were no other options to pay other than apple pay. I offered to leave after being told 'you can't afford our food'... as a doctor... and then was told 'WAIT. We can do TAP..."... HAPPY to LEAVE and PAY, I completed my transaction but WHY wasn't TAP offered as one of the options first? Incredibly frustrating experience and I doubt I'll be back. Kurry Walah is THE MOST delicious Indian food around hands down. I've been a repeat customer since they opened. Their Groupon deal makes it that much better!! We always get Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer (spinach and cheese dish) and Naan bread. Perfectly portioned for two people. Both dishes are creamy, flavorful and delicious. The naan bread is ridiculously fresh and hot!! Service is always friendly and attentive. They also deliver through many local food delivery apps. Some of the best Indian food my roommates and I have ever had! We all made the mistake of getting medium heat level though and it proved to be almost too much for us to handle! We all shared our food, so we split the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Kudai, Goat Kudai and garlic-rosemary naan! The flavors were so delicious! The food is really great. I usually get a curry (I get it spicy, but you have a choice) with naan. The naan here is the best I've ever had. That stuff is like crack. The service is terrific as well. We went there yesterday for lunch buffet. The selection and the variety of vegetarian food was okay. BUT the quality is something else. We ate vegetarian food, there was no gravy in the manchurian. The food was not hot at all. The rice had dried out and very hard. The kali dal had no flavor and just very bland, lacked salt too. When we spoke to the person in charge about it, he was very arrogant and just said that they believe in fine dining and not in the buffet.
