Sizzling Beef Plate / Bánh Mì Chảo and Banh Mi Grilled Pork
    Angelica L.

Rating: 3.8/5 [delivery] We ordered through DoorDash, and it took about an hour for the food to arrive. However, food wasn't bad for the price. Broken Rice Combo ($14.99): The pork egg roll was just okay--not crispy. The shrimp didn't taste fresh, and wasn't deveined, but the grilled pork and chicken were solid. Overall, a mid-tier broken rice plate. Sizzling Beef Plate / Bánh Mì Chảo ($15.50): This came with stir-fried marinated beef, Vietnamese pork meatballs, a sunny-side-up egg, pâté, Vietnamese mayo, a side salad, and toasted baguette. It looked like they mixed the pâté and mayo together--the sauce was super white and looked like bánh mì spread, so we used it that way. The beef was flavorful and well-marinated. The meatballs looked dry so I soaked them in the sauce before eating them. The salad was just a few slices of cucumbers, tomatoes, and lettuce leaves butworked as a refreshing contrast to all the salty proteins. Bánh Mì Grilled Pork ($8.99): Loved the grilled pork--flavorful with a good amount of meat. I didn't taste any pickled carrots/daikons, just a ton of cilantro. It also came with a side sauce and a Sriracha packet, which felt random. We ended up using the sauce for our rice instead.

Friendly staff, food trunk located in a gas station parking lot. Limited parking spots however more picnic tables available outside to sit and eat there if you wish. The lot is shared with another food truck. Overall average of the few times I've been here is 4/5, this last time I went, there were giant halves of jalapeño just shoved in the sandwich where in the past it was thinly sliced and evenly spread out (one tiny sliver of cucumber- just disproportionate with the veggies). I think the one consistent thing they have is great bread, not too doughy so you can actually taste the other flavors.

This is a food truck located at a gas station. Service is quick and friendly. Another good place in Austin to try Vietnamese food. Recommended for the nearby offices, locals, and visitors.

Pretty disappointed after reading the great reviews of this place. We make much better banh mi at home and have had several better in Austin and other cities. I got the beef banh mi, husband got the pork banh mi. Both seemed like the meat was pretty bland compared to what we're used to. The cilantro was in big leafs w stems that just fell out with every bite so it was hard to distribute throughout. The sandwiches did come with ample meat, though. The viet coffee I ordered with it was FANTASTIC, though. It tasted like the pure syrup poured over a coffee custard. Would definitely come back for coffee again and skip food. Location sucks, it's in a gas station lot with very few parking spots, though we were able to snag one hidden behind the building. Three covered tables for seating, but you get a weird concoction of smells combining from the differenr food trucks and the gas station/facilities that isn't appetizing.

Kuway's Food Truck is a culinary treasure on wheels! The banh mi sandwiches here are nothing short of spectacular. Each sandwich is a perfect harmony of crispy baguette, savory meats, fresh vegetables, and tangy sauces, creating an explosion of flavors with every bite. The pickled vegetables add a refreshing crunch, while the herbs and spices elevate the taste to another level. My favorite is the shrimp banh mi. The shrimp are seasoned and cooked to perfection. All of the flavors of the sandwich combined are absolutely delicious. The staff's friendly service and the truck's vibrant atmosphere only add to the experience. For an unforgettable banh mi, this food truck is a must-visit! It might be a little hard to find parking as this truck is parked in the lot of a gas station but there is overflow parking in the back. I was able to get a parking spot during busy hours.

This little food truck park is a go to lunch spot during the week. I tried the Fried Egg Banh Mi. It was a pretty standard banh mi, didn't really blow me away. It was $7.50 a sandwich. I felt it could have used more flavor.

Thought this place was great! Came here with a friend for a quick bite and got a great bahn mini for a great price! $8 for what i thought was a really big portion, I had enough to take for leftovers. Their menu is pretty big and service was great. There's a seating area across the way as well. There are other trucks in the area so plenty on options for the whole crowd!

Tucked away in a corner gas station is this food truck serving up delicious Vietnamese food. I always get the grilled pork banh mi and it never disappoints. The meat is moist and flavorful, the taste is consistent, and I'm stuffed by the end of it. I haven't tried the other items, but based on my experience with the banh mi, I know it'll be delicious.

Ordered their chicken banh mi, loaded with tons of veggies! I loved the seasoning on the chicken. It had so much flavor. They are located in a corner gas station parking lot with a few other food trucks. Kind of hard to maneuver thru. However, there is a covered seating area outside to eat. Service was quick and easy. You can even go sit in your car while your food is being prepared. They will give you a buzzer to let you know when it's ready. Will definitely come back and try their other menu items!

The beef sizzling is served on a hot plate so be careful! It's very authentically Vietnamese, when i eat here i can imagine it's just like i'm in the streets of Hanoi. The zucchini noodles are so refreshing and light and perfect for a hot day. The portions are perfectly filling and sometimes i'll even have extra. It is just so good!! I recommend this place to anyone who'll listen

The bowl itself came loaded with meat--they definitely weren't skimping to save money here. The meat-to-noodle ratio felt great, and every bite actually had substance instead of leaving me fishing around for toppings. As for the broth, I landed somewhere in the middle. It wasn't quite as clear or light as I personally prefer, leaning toward a fattier, milkier undertone that almost reminded me of a Vietnamese pho take on tonkotsu. The flavor itself was undeniably very good, but the richness may have been a bit too much for me personally. One way I usually judge how much I love a pho broth is whether I want to sip the bowl down to the very end, and this one wasn't quite light enough for me to want to do that. I've had richer and deeper pho flavors elsewhere, but I still appreciated the flavor profile here and could absolutely see why this place is so popular. It feels hearty, comforting, and satisfying in a way that clearly resonates with many people. Despite how packed the restaurant was, the atmosphere ended up being surprisingly pleasant. Service moved very quickly, which honestly impressed me given how busy everything felt. Even with the crowd, I didn't dislike the spacing or setup at all--the restaurant still felt comfortable, and the sound of people enjoying their food all around added to the lively, welcoming energy rather than making it feel overwhelming. Overall, Pho Phong Lưu ended up being one of those places where I completely understood the hype, even if it didn't become my personal favorite pho spot. While the broth leaned richer than my preference, I still enjoyed the experience and definitely look forward to trying other dishes next time.

It came with two runny side up eggs, pate, two types of cured pork, beef gravy, and a handful of cilantro. The baguette came on the side, as did the mixed salad of lettuce and tomato. The salad had some dried shrimp, fish sauce, and a slightly sweet dressing. The restaurant itself is located in the Chinatown Center on N Lamar. It's a small corner shop. Lots of mirrors and glass. Both broths were rich and flavorful. The portions were generous, and they definitely did not skimp on the meat. My Bun Bo Hue came with a beef rib that was tender and delicious. One unique thing was the noodles in the Sip pho bowl--they were slightly thicker than vermicelli, which was different but not a big deal. For drinks, I ordered the Matcha Green Thai Tea. It had an interesting flavor combination, but the matcha taste was a bit overpowered by the green Thai tea. It was still enjoyable, though slightly too floral and sweet for my personal preference. The prices were very reasonable, and they offered a great variety of pho, vermicelli bowls, rice dishes, and appetizers. Next time I visit, I'd love to try the egg rolls since I noticed many people ordering them. The only downside was parking. Speaking of waiting for your food, the food comes out super quick! Within 1 minute of ordering my drink, it came out! And a couple minutes after follows the food. The service is amazing as well, the servers are super sweet and are very quick to serve you and get what you need. The menu offers a bunch of things, appetizers, main dishes, desserts, and the drinks! I love how the desserts and drinks are also Vietnamese (most of the time I notice restaurants tend to have the basic selection of fountain drinks and desserts, but this restaurant has a wide variety of drinks and desserts so you can try something new every time you come here!) Most of all, there's a bunch of vegan dishes which I absolutely love.
