This is a review from someone who has had three different car loans with them over 10 years. I'll start with the positive. If you want an easy way to get approved for financing and a car, this is the place. However, don't expect any good customer service or loyalty to its customers. They have an option where you can make part of the down payment delayed, and I had to use this option. I had to be a little late on the down payment, and they turned the car off, and it sat in my driveway for 4 days, knowing that Uber is the only way I can make money, and I could have made the money if they had just turned it back on, but they refused to, and it did nothing for 4 days. I told them my only income was from Uber, and they really didn't care. It was almost as if they purposely wanted the car back to resell it. Keep in mind, this is after having three different car loans with them, and it's sitting in my driveway for 4 days, and they were very unsympathetic. Overall, I don't recommend them. read more

BEWARE!!! Had to sign up for Yelp and write a separate bad review for a separate instance. Sold me a 2015 Jeep Patriot for $17,999. (124000 mi, average condition, stained interior, few scratches) Broke down within a month (fuel injectors, alternator, brake pads) 18% interest. Tried to get it refinanced and got denied because of the value of the car. Turns out it's actually only worth around $6000. I feel like a slave to these greedy, miserable people. Can't wait for the day I have my title in-hand and never have to associate with the name Kyle Chapman again :( So much buyer's remorse. Purchased a car through them a few years ago, car had to get some work done on it, while my car was in the shop my items were stolen from my vehicle, dealership never recovered or paid for my stolen items, threatened me with a lawyer instead. AC went out 2 days after I bought the vehicle, I had to pay to fix it, catalytic converter went out about 2 weeks after I got my car back from them, before they released my car they said it had a misfire and something was wrong with my catalytic converter but said they called the wrong person and my car was ready, I had to pay full price to fix that as well. after a few years I was sick of the vehicle and the issues that came with this dealership and let them come get it, they wanted me to pay it off after I gave the vehicle back, I told them no because I gave it back and they are now trying to collect from my income tax through a 1099 C. Basically trying to take all of my taxes for a vehicle with a market value of 1800. After going Through hell with Kyle Chapman motors I ended up getting a new vehicle from Texas Auto Center and I will say, they are MUCH more pleasant than Kyle Chapman Motors. Kyle Chapman was honestly my biggest mistake. I was in a rush to get a car and settled with them and regretted it. And they're interest rates are INSANE. Go else where. read more

Service department doesn't help much and takes way to long to get things done with the company. Warranty they currently have for the vehicles is trash and not worth it nor the cars that they sell they run for maybe a year n or less and it starts breaking down and you will either have to pay out of your pocket cause the warranty doesn't cover it most of the things that become wrong with the vehicle so either way your screwed. My second review. This is the update. These assholes refused to take my payments for 2 months and then repo'd my truck. It was almost paid off and I was only two payments behind because they would not take my money. They never contacted me or said anything about repo, and they set me up and then screwed me. I think it's awesome that they offer insurance there for you for 120/month to start off with, that made the buying process so much smoother for me. I am so disappointed with Kyle Chapman and their staff in the finance department especially. My husband had bought 3 different vehicles from them in the past we had a few small issues, however previous Management had always managed to work through them with us. Well where do I start, we recently bought a 2012 Dodge Ram Hemi they were asking quite a bit for it, we didn't try to get it cheaper even though it needed tires we took the truck well we had the truck 11 months motor went out! Yep just under warranty by the way charged us 4000.00 for crate motor and for the last 1 1/2 years since new management, if that's what you want to call them... the financing dept would literally argue and Harass us while we were at work, Yvonne actually hung up on us and wouldn't take payments unless we jumped through her imaginary hoops, I couldn't believe it, we also had a rainy day payment coupon that they tried to refuse by the way and I insisted they take it. Good thing I insisted because they quit honoring them. Then when I tried to make payment I was told we can't accept your credit card because they don't have my signature on file I was like well you have been taking my payments for several months with this card? Now I'm being asked to email card info and signature while I'm at work so they finally came and repossessed the truck and never called to ask us if we wanted to catch up payments on it they never left message stating they were going to repo it they just figured they could take it when we only had 8 more payments on it. Probably thought they could resell it well the vehicle had almost 300,000 miles on the transmission and it wouldn't start without putting it in neutral we had replaced the water pump and the transmission was getting ready to seize up or something we were getting ready to put it in the shop! Imagine 3rd vehicle with a company and they treat you like an unwanted step child. Don't trust them I'm serious they are terrible. I'm so serious when I say they are Liars they literally have lied to us. They are not to be trusted I wouldn't send my worst enemy there. Also the guy that picked up our truck lied to our face maybe if they weren't such liars we could have worked it out I had the money for payment but they never called us so our relationship ended that day and I'm thankful that I do not have to deal with them again what a relief. I purchased my first vehicle in 2018 from them and kept returning it to the service department while it was under warrantee. I also kept having to take it to my shop after that for the continued problem. Long story short, one of the cylinders lost pressure and the engine was trashed. They did get me into another car a couple of months ago since the issue was never resolved from the time of the purchase of the vehicle. However, the salesman that I dealt with had me come back to "correct the sales paperwork" 4 separate times!! It was insane!! They also recently decided to install starter interrupters on their vehicles. My car has been disabled twice in the last month with no past due balance. Apparently, if you make your payment online through their website, you still have to call the dealership to notify them because the collections system and the starter interrupter system are separate and do not communicate. I expressed that it seemed stupid to have to call and notify them of the payment, but whatever, next payment came due, I paid it online and called to let them know. A couple of days later, they disabled the starter yet again. I'm so sick of hearing excuses from them and will NEVER purchase another vehicle from this dealership EEVVVEERRR!!!! The people there are not friendly after you have signed your contracts and don't seem too motivated to follow the contract either. Disabling my vehicle is a breach of contract and left me stranded after working a 16 hour day one Saturday. Naturally, they were closed when I got off and not reopening until today so I've had to ask people for rides and try to explain to them where my car is (sitting in a parking garage downtown) and why I'm suddenly not able to get myself around. read more

I give Gracie at Kyle Chapman in Buda 5 Stars because she is always very helpful when it comes to human error. I received a call today from Andrea ( don't know why she is still there) about our payment that was due last Friday. With all these Covid-19 issues I forgot about it and bought things we needed to buy just in case of the lockdown. I was being nice at first until she became irate when I asked if I could pay this coming Friday. She declined stated that she would not be able to work with me. (After all the years we have been with them.) I have always paid when I said I would, but this one time she said no she could not work with me. I even asked if I can make another payment next Friday when I get paid, so we can be caught up. I asked to speak to the Manager, she said he doesn't handle that sort of thing and he will only tell me what she just did. First of all, you cannot deny a customer from speaking to upper management. Secondly, she needs to learn some customer service and pick your battles. Yes, I did get upset with her because of her attitude on the phone and I told her she did not have to be b*&%^ with me. She became even more upset and just hung up on me. I called back to San Marcos and they sent me to Gracie. I explained everything to Gracie and she helped me out. I also told Gracie if I can make both payments this Friday then I will pay both. To error is human!!! This is not the first time I had problems with this girl!! this has to be the worst car buying experience on earth.. i started with the airport location(amazing ppl). after having the vehicle a few years someone hit me and totaled it out. not a problem i was able to get another vehicle from this location(buda). my go to person kim was amazing. never had any issues at all.. .. after my own reason's i decided to trade the next vehicle in and was sold on a kia sorento great!! until...... i have been informed kim is no longer present and my new go to person is a fuckin idiot(andrea) who cannot do small things such as stand by her word ‼ ‼ now i've had this new vehicle 3 weeks and the unthinkable happens.⁉ the motor locks up. they get it towed to the lot.. call me immediately sayin kia had a recall as if they had no idea of this before selling the vehicle to me. now the manager seems pussy. he's been in the same meeting for daaaaays now.. .. lol i simply want to discuss the safety hazard of this vehicle as it broke down in the middle of a very busy street with my children in the car, one who has seizures and the other just 9 months old.. it was 100 degrees outside and to make it worse i'm pushing a car with paper tags(embarrassing) .. hoooold on, it get worse.. instead of providing great customer service when they fucked up in the first place they tell me to "rent a vehicle from them".. why so the motor can lock up too.. where is the person over the managers head.. i've never been late on a payment, infact i was 1600$ ahead on the last vehicle.. where is the importance on our safety and not your sales..⁉⁉ perhaps i should have read these reviews first or stuck with the airport location..‍‍‍ read more

The only reason why I'm giving a star at all is cause of our salesmen he did absolutely wonderful job helping us but other than that this place is without a doubt the worst place to go to for a vehicle... I got my 2009 Dodge Charger around December of 2016 from than to now I've taking the car about 5 to 7 times. The list of problems go to the tires, the alternator, the tie rods the list goes on and on so when I decided to trade it in for obviously something better they said no problem so I had to come up with a bit down we could go so I waited a week to come up with the money my other vehicle was there waiting for me well it turned out that after the general manager looked at my dodge and test drove it he said no that it had to much Equity on it ... it's funny after he test drove it and looked it over I couldn't get but yet a week before it was yes to another vehicle just bring 400 dollars. So to my disbelief I made a scene he told me that with all the problems I had with the charger that he was never told that IS JUST BS.. so my advice to future customers please oh please do not get a vehicle from them trust me looks can be deceiving read more

Will absolutely not recommend this dealership to ANYBODY! I purchased my vehicle from Kyle Chapman Motors-Buda in April of 2017 and was extremely happy with the service I received from Danny, and was overall satisfied with my initial purchase. Now 8 months later, I'm extremely regretful that I purchased a car from this dealership. Not only am I paying a ridiculous amount of money for this vehicle that's 13 years old, but I've received absolutely TERRIBLE customer service from this company. Not only did I not receive my license plates for almost 5 MONTHS, I have since then felt extremely disrespected by some of the employees here. If I'm one day late to make my payment, they will continuously call me/text me/leave voicemails and have no regards for how they're treating you. I've tried making 8 payments online for their portal pay system, knowing that I have more than enough money in my account, with all of my other bills going through, sent them an email to see if there was another way for me to get the payment taken care of, and they were extremely disrespectful in their response and offered me no help. On top of that, I have full coverage insurance through USAA and I sent a copy of my insurance to them, and they notified me that my deductibles need to be extremely low. So not only do I pay a totally unrealistic amount for my vehicle with them, but they're expecting me to pay almost another $350-400 in insurance for my vehicle. I'm not refinancing my vehicle for HALF THE PRICE of what I'm paying now, a better interest rate (KCM is horrible! I've paid $6,058.56 towards my vehicle and only $2,037.99 of it has gone to my actual payoff!!! EW!) and I'm looking forward to never ever EVER doing business with Kyle Chapman Motors and will absolutely insure that all of my friends and family do the same!!! read more
