The best two for one deal there is. Dine here, and enjoy good food while supporting great organizations around the community. Kyle's Kitchen is located in the Calle Real Center along Calle Real. You can't miss it; look for an octogonal tented roof and orange umbrellas. Parking can be a challenge during meal times since there's not enough spots. However, there's plenty of tables and booths inside, with outside seating available as well. The line to order wasn't too bad, but the wait to receive my order was a little long. Although they fan out the contents of the burger so you can see all the ingredients, you can still tell how small the portion size is. The brioche bun was tasty, but super tiny. The beef patty was especially tender and juicy. They serve the same size beef patties as The Habit, but it feels smaller. I totally forgot that my Bacon & Egg burger came with a beef patty until I took a second bite. Most of the burgers are $5.50, some a dollar extra, which is fair given the charity aspect, but not exactly reasonable. You can pay $2 for double meat & cheese, but now your burger is $7.50-8, while a Double Char is around $4.25. Do remember that it's for a good cause. While the burgers are flavorful and scrumptious, the opposite can be said for the fries. Perhaps they left them in the fryer too long the day I visited, but my fries were super dry and crunchy. It did not have a nice golden color to it, and I was left with many burnt pieces. Overall, I left pretty satisfied with my meal. Besides the value versus price points, it was delicious. Kyle's is a great concept and a decent option for burgers. I would come back to try their other offerings like the milkshakes and the Mountain Climber. read more

I have been very happy with this addition to Goleta. I'm not a beef-eater, but there are many great options for me. The veggie burger, fries, salads are all great. In my opinion, it is very reasonably priced and a substantial amount of food. Recently, I got the pairing with the earth burger (delicious veggie burger) and the kale salad. If you would like an exercise in futility, eat here. Might be the single worst culinary experience of my life. From the outside it quite deceiving, Colorful, bright, inviting. But don't let it fool you. 5 of us ate here and we all felt the same, so it wasn't an isolated incident. The burgers were dry, fries were soggy. Tomatoes were where they weren't supposed to be. Patrons who arrived after us were getting food before us (granted they were a bunch of young attractive women). Worst of all...my beer arrived three quarters of the way through my burger. Beer was pretty stale. If I had to put my finger on a single problem, it's that they hire college kids because they are cheap. It seemed like they were in lala land or some kind trance. Feeling charitable? Kyle's Kitchen produces a great value meal, with the proceeds going to a fantastic and different cause each month. As someone who often gets lost in the bougie goat-cheese-arugula-oyster Santa Barbara lifestyle, it's lovely to see a family-friendly and tasty burger place in town. I've tried Kyle's stuff a few times now. While the portions are visually small, it's super filling and the flavor is good. The go-to for me is the Cheesy Pig burger (bacon and cheddar) and their signature fries, dusted with an herb mixture. While the burger isn't quite cheesy (just a plain slice of melted cheddar), it does have a ton of crispy bacon on top. Other recommendations include the Mountain Climber burger and seared ahi tuna salad. Although the taste can sometimes be quite bland, the portions are hefty. Their specialty drinks are out of this world, and pretty under-21 friendly if you're a college student who can't legally drink. Although a friend said the birthday cake milkshake wasn't amazing, their mint chocolate chip milkshake and berrylicious lemonade are delicious! They're well worth the price. Found this place on yelp and I wasn't disappointed. Real close by to where I was staying so I thought I would give it a shot. Ended up getting a chicken club on a homemade wheat bun. Very delicious and moist and full of flavor. I also got some fire fries made with some fresh jalepenos. Flavorful but they don't stay warm long enough, so eat them quick. Kickin' atmosphere that not only has tasty burgers, but supports children with intellectual abilities. I ordered the Mountain Climber burger, packed with Jalapeños--not nearly as hot as I imagined, but definitely tasty. I stuck with the original fries which were just the right balance of crispy, salty, and soft--the herb seasoning was a nice touch. Love the food hate the delivery and ordering through grub hub. Grub hub order never arrived and I called Kyles and they said the food had been sitting there for 30 mins and nobody came to pick it up. Grub hub was only going to give me 10% off the next order to make it right. I felt bad but canceled the order rather than let grub hub get away with it. Horrible service. Kyle's was much better before they went with grub hub. You can't even order take out now by calling Kyles, you have to deal with grub hub. It's really a shame. Comfortable Covid19 outdoor seating, professional cleanliness behind the counter, and great food made for a lovely lunch today. The burgers are juicy and they had no problems giving me a lettuce wrap, the ahi tuna salad had a wonderful mix of veggies, fruit and seared fish, and the fries were seasoned beautifully and nice and crispy. Ok let me start out by saying the food was super tasty and the pick up was smooth, etc. BUT.... I was tossing my salad (I got a kale cranberry salad) and found this huuuuge piece of plastic from like a plastic bag in my salad... I was eating in the dark at the drive in so I didn't see it right away. (Please note I didn't have any other food bags or plastic in my entire car for this to have been mine). Yikes.. but Ok, I get it, accidents happen right? At least it wasn't hair. I go on eating the salad and get a bite that felt way too hard to be food. I just had dinner here tonight. Famous french fries, fabulous veggie burgers, and a tasty Thai veggie salad. Loved everything! Great prices and portions were very large sized. I was very satisfied after my meal. My salad had wontons, colorful varieties of shedded carrots, and fried onions. I love how they support a variety if different charities and non-profits. This was a pretty descent place. My main issue was their Quinoa Salad had like no flavor at all in the dressing. It was just olive oil. I also got the Blue Cheese burger, wrapped in lettuce, and that was really tasty. Their lemonades are great too! The establishment itself is pretty amazing. I order from the Calle Real location about once a week. They never fail to provide great food and exceptional service. My wife and I both work full time and it's nice to be able to take an evening out of the kitchen and still know that we will have an amazing meal. We just had our first baby six weeks ago and that makes it even more difficult to find time to cook. Huge special shout out to Reid at Kyle's who always recognizes me takes great care of me the second I walk through the door! It's always seared perfectly! Now for the burgers. The burgers are yummy and made on fresh baked buns daily. Yes, the patty is a little small but for $5 you're getting a much higher quality product than your typical fast food restaurant offers. I had the Bacon and Egg Burger and it was delicious; lots of crispy bacon - mmm! You can mix and match a gourmet side salad with the burger of your choice for under $10, what a deal! I liked this place! I really did! I liked that it is an amazing value, $5 for a burger, add $1 for extras. Add a side dish like a cup of soup and it goes up to $9. I like that the whole concept of the restaurant is to give a portion of profits to local charities that help special needs kids. I like the owner, Kyle's dad but most of all I liked Kyle and his two younger sisters (yes there is a third but only a couple weeks old so we didn't talk much). The fries with the bacon and bleu cheese on them are absolute heaven! The tomato basil soup isn't a bisque which I would have preferred but still hit the spot on a cool evening. The burger was great with bleu cheese and crispy bacon. It wasn't too large and was the perfect size for the evening. If you want bigger they will add a second meat patty which I think they said is only $1. Score! read more

I delayed trying Kyle's Kitchen for so long because I suspected that the high ratings are in support of a family restaurant that supports children with special needs, and aren't actually directly correlated with the food. I would have to say this is the case. My boyfriend's burger was way charred with lots of black, and it tasted that way too. I had the veggie burger and it was soft and falling apart all over the place. The shake was pretty, though nothing special. With my burger I had the potato cheddar soup - do not order this one! It was very one dimensional and lacked nearly all flavor. Some of the worst soup I've ever tried. The girls working were total ditz heads, but the environment itself was pretty nice. I wanted to give this place 5 stars based on their mission; their proceeds go to help special needs kids. Then I went there last night and was really surprised on the value and taste of the food. I ordered the mountain climber burger was it was really good. I could have added an extra party for $1.50 but I refrained this time. I ordered fire fries which had melted pepper jack cheese, jalapeño slices and string onions. They were really good. My only disappointment was I didn't get a hug from Kyle. He was too busy cleaning trays, keeping things in running order. I will definitely be back soon to try the other menu items. read more

I finally had the opportunity to try Kyle's Kitchen. I have to say that the Skinny Pig Fries were amazing. They come with crumbled Bleu Cheese, bacon and ranch in the side. I also had the "Mountain Climber" Burger which has fire grilled beef, pepperjack cheese, crispy onion strings, sliced jalapeños, lettuce, tomato, jalapeño ranch on a brioche bun. You might think that that's too much fire, but I didn't even feel the heat. And I had a small "Quinoa Keen-What?" Salad which I really loved and it's one of Kyle's Faves. It has wild arugula, organic quinoa, roasted almonds, organic carrots, organic garbanzo beans, tomatoes, cucumbers and vinaigrette. I also added grilled chicken that had an oregano flavor to it, but it was not overpowering it was just perfect and moist. It was my first time, I definitely will go back and try other items on the menu. Kyle is the owner's son and Kyle is a child with special needs. Every month Kyle's Kitchen is helping special needs organizations in Santa Barbara. They promote awareness and donate money which some of the proceeds are from sales, employees tips and donations from the community. What a great way to give back to those in need. read more

Visited Kyle's Kitchen with the boyfriend for a pre-Superbowl lunch (all decked out in our Seahawks gear!). Here's the breakdown: Food: Pretty tasty overall. We ordered Cheesy Pig burger with fries- the burger was fresh and tasty. The patty was slightly overcooked and a bit thin for my liking. The fries were really good. They had a nice herbal seasoning. 9 iron or wedge? Salad- pretty darn good for a salad. The lettuce and tomatoes were very fresh, bacon crispy, and dressing delicious. I was actually quite full after eating the large. Chocolate chip cookies*- SO DARN GOOD! I am somewhat of a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur and I have to say these were surprisingly good. *Normally I would not purchase a cookie at a burger place; however, these cookies were actually gifted to us by Kyle himself and his lovely mother. Because we were sporting our Seahawks gear and Kyle and his family are also huge fans, they treated us to the sweet treats. Atmosphere: Fun, hip, open, and comfortable. They have very cool chalkboard walls, and open kitchen, and plenty of seating. Service: Very good. We had someone come by and make sure our meal was good, which is unconventional for a order-at-the-counter type of place. Prices: On par with other casual dining options. They do offer an Axxess deal- buy one item, get one free for first time card use, and then 10% off after that. They also have a free rewards program that give you cash back when you accrue so many points. Specialness: This is normally not a category I use when writing my reviews; however, Kyle's Kitchen warranted it. This place is just down right cool. I love that the restaurant was inspired by Kyle, who is an amazing kid. And if you don't know, Kyle's Kitchen donates a portion of its profits to special needs organizations in the area. I've heard great things about this place from my coworker so I decided to give a shot when I was searching for a place to grab something to-go! I ended up going to this location to avoid the traffic at the Paseo Nuevo spot. I ended up ordering the Mountain Climber burger with hand cut seasoned fries. Total, it came out to almost $10. This spot is definitely pricier than your usual In-N-Out and McDonald's, but I can see that this is for a good cause. The burger itself was pretty hearty and the brioche bun definitely made it easier to eat than the classic sesame burger bun. I would also see if you can pair the fries with like a sriracha aioli sauce. I think that it would complement the seasoned fries very well! This is a great family place with great basic burger and salad fare and great milk shakes. Burgers come on freshly baked on the premises brioche buns. Burgers start at $5 with a $1 additional charge for the fancier burgers (like my "Cheesy Pig," with cheese and bacon, which was $6). The ice cream sandwich came in a huge freshly baked chocolate chip cookie and my "Fat Guerilla" (peanut butter/chocolate milk shake) was fabulous, with a generous mound of real whipped cream. Service is efficient and friendly and we felt like old time friends in no time. Dogs on leash are welcome in the outdoors eating area. Kyle is a special needs kid in about the 5th grade and loves meeting folks, so is there to hand out menus. This place was created with his favorite foods in mind and his special favorites (like the egg and bacon burger) are marked "KF." The chalkboard wall is great to keep little kids occupied. Food is alright, costumer service isn't that great either. The place itself it's overall clean that's the one good thing about it. I've gone a few times a each time my order is wrong but after the first time I complain (lack for a better word) The cashier gave me a quick attitude, I just asked for extra pickles in the hamburger wasn't really a big deal could've easily been given on the side. After that I tried it two more times not really a place for us. Oh well at least we tried it. read more
