First yelp review! This is definitely an above average ramen joint in the Philly-Jersey area! And this is coming from a dude who has eaten his fair share of ramen. The gf and I ordered the popcorn (karage) chicken for apps and two of their dual ramen combos; the Black and White Couple and the Spicy Couple. The popcorn chicken was good but nothing to rave about. It was on the drier side with no condiments so a dipping sauce like a spicy mayo or some lemon would've definitely enhanced the dish. I had the Black & White Couple which consisted of half Tonkotsu-Shio and Black Garlic Tonkotsu. First and foremost, the half-half ramen idea is a great... We appreciated that we could try various ramen dishes and broths without having to order them separately. Both of my ramen dishes consisted of a rich and creamy tonkatsu (pork) broth and contained similar ingredients: wavy egg noodles, half a soy marinated egg, and chashu pork. Each one of these ingredients were cooked to absolute perfection. The noodles were cooked al dente and had a great chew; the egg was flavorful and slightly runny just as the ramen gods intended; and my goodness gracious the chashu pork melted in my mouth and almost made me shed a tear. Everything about these two ramen dishes were great but I definitely preferred the black garlic one more as it was more rich and flavorful to me. The shorty had the Spicy Couple which consisted of Sapporo Miso and Spicy Tonkatsu. The dishes pretty much contained the same great ingredients but obviously the broths were spicy and the Sapporo Miso had shrimp tempura in it. We both agreed that the spicy broths were good but preferred the garlic broths better. Also, the shrimp tempura was somewhat greasy. However, the noodles, egg, and pork were just as amazing. The bill came out to be $44.75 which would be expensive a few years ago but is very reasonable now. All in all, we both rated Kyuramen a 4.5 out of 5 and would recommend this place to anyone that is craving ramen in the Cherry Hill area. Pro tip: make sure to check in to claim a free thai tea or matcha pudding. We got the matcha pudding which was delightful. Not too sweet and a refreshing end to our heavy meal. The best looking place inside hands down. What a cool and unique looking vibe inside. The food was fine but its not going to blow you away if your a big ramen fan. I sampled the takoyaki and the fried squid tentacles for appetizers and ordered the spicy Tonkotsu ramen with the pork bao and thai tea add-on option. Not a fan of Nori or Corn in my ramen so I asked to have them removed. The pork bao was disappointing. The bun itself is super thick and so oversized for the piece of pork your getting. Pass on this for sure. The fried calamari tentacles were very good. I would get this again. Takoyaki were good but soaked with way too much sauce. Thy were tasty and I would get them again. Ramen itself spicy level was just right. Made my nose run slightly and it was a nice touch to have tissues right on the table. The broth was good and the pork and 1 half egg tasted good. Almost had a sugary sweet taste to it. The noodles were slightly underwhelming. Seemed like a low quality noodle. I would rate the ramen 6.8/10. Friday night I beat the Kyuramen Cherry Hill Spicy Ramen Challenge. That bowl was . The mouth burn was decently strong, the hardest part of the challenge was downing the temperature hot broth (only have 9 minutes to complete)before your stomach tightens up on you. For completing it, I get a free bowl of ramen for a week. Hard to believe 24 hours after that bowl of fiery red death, I wanted a bowl of ramen to enjoy. I will admit, I am more of a pho guy and not a huge fan of ramen or extremely knowledgeable. This was a tasty bowl, though. I've had the omurice from here before, and that's a sexy dish. Service is quick, servers are super nice, helpful, and accommodating. Feel free to see my picture on the wall of fame and laugh at my stupidity, along with all the other silly things winners and losers wrote on their placards! Kyuramen was just what the doctor ordered! My fiancé and I just moved to Cinnaminson and eager to explore new restaurants in the area. I'm almost always craving Ramen so I was excited to stumble across this spot. While we didn't dine in, we were happy to explore the inside...super cool interior! You sorta gotta go to understand. As for the food...we got two types of ramen and the matcha cake. While the ramen was delicious, the descriptions don't do a great job of explaining the differences in flavor. I will say, they both were delicious, but again, I have no idea how to describe the difference aside from saying one was more sweet while the other had more of a ginger flavor. The cake wasn't it...very mushy. Was hoping for more distinct texture in the layers. I think we will return for another go around, though! read more

Don't let the outside fool you...Kyuramen is one slick, well established concept with over 120 locations nationwide and growing. All blond woods, bamboo, card walls and tree with a neat bar for single diners, this front of the house portrays hip, casual Japanese ramen house which it actually is. On line tech is cutting edge with not only online ordering and takeout but table wait times and reservations but the cool part is definitely their private curtained dining booths which we don't see much anymore. Menu is compact and deal savvy with package meals with includes a ramen bowl with a appetizer and drink. We chose the Bao buns {fluffy and soft with a decent sized slice of marinated and grilled pork belly, mayo/siracha based sauce and a flash of some green lettuce} nothing to really write home about but the bao had their cool logo branded on top.... a clear sigh we were dining in a corporate restaurant chain. Next was my favorite Takoyaki, which was almost unrecognizable under a cloud of shaved bonito flakes sitting on almost too much Kewpie mayo...I stress "almost too much" as one can never have too much Kewpie. The takoyaki was lava hot and filled with chewy ,savory bits of octopus. I very much liked. The omurice just had to be next and didn't disappoint with the theatrical flourish of slicing open the omelet tableside and watching it slowly cascade over a hill of savory fried rice and then covered with the thick, rich sauce that held the faintest scent of black pepper and sake. The eggs were creamy and salty with the rice playing the foil for the almost overwhelming umami of omelet and gravy.....good not great. I had the curry ramen bowl with the tonkatsu and what arrived was the quintessential ramen bowl both in appearance and taste. This is no lightweight polite bowl of ramen but a man sized portion with the typical Japanese visual esthetic of proportion, texture and colour. Noodles were firm and chewy in a thick, smooth broth with a subtle slightly sweet curry and white miso background....this was good stuff if a bit too salty.The tonkatsu was perfectly breaded and fried and runny egg added another textural component to a good bowl of Ramen. Dessert was a chilled Mango crepe cake and while satisfying it was all a bit artificial with freeze dried mango chunks and chewy crepe layering... this thing had been in the freezer awhile. Thoughts: Kyuramen is a well thought out and executed concept with a youthful vibe. I was a little concerned when everything came out so quickly but in retrospect it has to in order to turn tables and the much sought after booths. Food was very good but not great and everything was either too sweet or too salty for me but again we're dealing with a national chain.... the Olive Garden of Ramen if you will. Craving for some tonkatsu, I decided to try Kyuramen after hearing so many good things from friends and family. Right off from the bat, there were many good impressions. The store was nicely furnished and I enjoyed the private seating in the booth. EDM was playing on the speaker so 5 for good atmosphere. The staff were also amazing and attentive, 5 for them! I noticed that the menu prices have increased by $1 (from the menu I found on Yelp dated about a year ago) depending on the item. Though, this is common around Cherry Hill and in neighboring towns. For appetizers, I tried their Bao Buns and Takoyaki. The bun only had one pork belly slice in it so it wasn't enjoyable to eat. There was too much bun and very little meat and sauce. The takoyaki however, was very good. It was a perfect ratio between dough and octopus so I recommend trying it if you stop by! Each appetizer was priced $7.99 each. For our entrees, we ordered the Teriyaki Beef Rice Burger priced at $9.99 and the Tonkatsu Curry Ramen priced at $17.99. The burger was plentiful and tasty, and I recommend trying it! I would order it again. I wished they made rice entrees here because the teriyaki sauce is delicious! The ramen didn't look like a lot at first but once I dove in, it felt like I didn't even do any damage and I ended up taking the rest home Though, I have to note, it was a little salty for my taste and I would try a different one. The curry wasn't too powerful and the tonkatsu was still crunchy as I was eating it. Overall, I would rate this place a 4.7/5 I enjoyed my experience and would like to try their dessert next time. Drove all the way from Philly to try this place. I saw so many good reviews and video by jljupiter which caught my attention to this restaurant. My dad and I arrived walked in place beautifully decorated brightly lit. We were seated in a little private booth situation but the noise from the couple seated behind us felt like they were seated with us. As we're looking over the menu we were very confused about how or what to order. I told the server what kind of meat we wanted chicken or shrimp and I was hoping he could suggest or tell us how to order from the menu. A lot of the Ramen bowls had items I wasn't familiar with so I needed him to be a little more forth right with what was in it. He wasn't very helpful at all. So my review is solely based on him. Honestly, not the greatest ramen I've had, by a long shot. It certainly was served very quickly, which is a plus, but that seems to be more due to the very fast-food style setting that it's set up for. There was plenty of seating, all of which was very nice and elegant appearing, but getting your food handed to you in a plastic tray was a little off-putting. To the main point, however, the ramen was very heavily salted and seasoned, and I ended up unable to even sip from the broth, having to try my best to 'dry' every bite of my ramen before I ate it. Similarly, the ground meat that I had in my bowl disintegrated into this broth, and dredging for little bits was not something that I had anticipated as being an issue until that point. This place is really neat. They have private dining area which makes it very romantic for a date. They also have an open area if all the rooms are filled as well. Decor is cool as well. Onto the food. I would just say it's ok. I didn't run home WOWing over it. Age Tofu - sauce was a tad too strong and too sweet. I should have tasted the sauce first before deciding to pour the entire thing onto the tofu. I do prefer a lighter sauce as I felt this was a bit heavy even if only a little bit was used. Popcorn chicken - flavor was there, however, it might have been a tad overcooked as it was kind of dry. Ramen - I ordered the split one so I could try different flavors. I do wish they allowed you to chose your own though. The 2 types I got were the kimchi and tonkotsu shouyu. The kimchi was delicious. Very strong kimchi flavor. However, the tonkotsu broth was good before I stirred up the dish. After stirring it up, it had a horrible fish taste that I couldn't get past. Maybe the seaweed in it just was too strong? Thai tea - really good. Perfect sweetness. Would I be back? Maybe, but only if I was in the area. I wouldn't make my drive from Philly here just to have the food. read more

Kyuramen has been on my list to try ever since it hit my radar. I was very curious about their half and half ramen bowls. **Pro-tip** the half/half ramen bowls are not mix & match, they are only the 3 set ones on the menu! Since my husband and I don't eat pork, we didn't try the mix and match since they're all including pork/chashu. I tried the Chicken Ramen ($15.99) and my husband tried the Crispy Chicken Rice burger meal $14.99 with lemonade and sweet purple potato fries. Overall, my ramen was pretty good. It's still no Terakawa in my opinion, which is my personal gold star standard in the Philly region. The broth didn't have as deep of an umami flavor in my opinion. It's also pretty pricey sitting at $16/bowl. The Crispy Chicken itself was really good, but overall as a sandwich was a bit bland. I will say that we don't eat mayo, and it's possible the blandness is because we chose to omit the spicy mayo. Kyuramen is a great place if you are looking for a good atmosphere and lots of options. The private booths are nice if you have a small party to give you a greater sense of privacy while dining (and also for COVID right now), and having a T'Baar attached means a large selection of bubble teas (which are pretty good)! In terms of food though, we felt there were small things that could be improved on. We had the okonomiyaki and takoyaki as appetizers which we enjoyed. We also thought the charsiu pork was super tender and the soft-boiled eggs cooked perfectly for the ramen, though some broths were a little bit on the salty side. I did really like the option to have two broths in a split bowl, but I think I would prefer to have charsiu pork and such on both sides instead of the shrimp tempura on the other side since the tempura gets soggy while sitting in the broth. We also liked the matcha pudding we had for dessert, though drizzling the milk over it didn't really add anything. I think sweetened condensed milk could potentially be a better option, especially for people who might be looking to add more sweetness to the dessert. Even with those things being said, I think I will definitely come back to give some of their other food options a try, since there were so many things to choose from, and I would really like to try the omurice in the future. (Another suggestion would be to consolidate some of the menus to make things a little less overwhelming, as we were trying to scan 5 separate menus when deciding what to order on our first time here!) read more
