Dinner at Kyuramen was quite an experience but in the best way possible. We dined in our own private booth closed off by curtains that included a call button in case we needed everything. We started with the octopus balls, shrimp tempura and fried potatoe shrimp and everything was sooo yummy. For our main, we got the mega Raman and the chicken ramen which were both so delicious I couldn't stop eating and drinking all the broth. Majority of their broths are pork base which was a little difficult for me because I don't eat pork but their was a chicken and veg broth option. I got a fresh passion fruit tea to go and it was literally the best I've ever had. Everything was so fresh and the service was great! TLDR: Had high hopes and wished that I liked the ramen, but was a little disappointed. We went during their soft opening, so maybe they have improved by now. Service was good; servers were attentive, and they have a bell system that let you alert for service when needed (probably only if you are seated in one of the box booths). The fried oyster was my favorite thing of the night. Very light and crispy. The okonomiyaki was okay - good texture but lacks 'fillings' (it was mostly batter). The ramen we ordered were okay. My partner got the surf and turf and it came with 1 shrimp for $3(?) more. It was not worth the up-charge imo. I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen. I don't think the ramen was 'authentic' - and the broth tasted mildly artificial. I have a sneaky suspicion that the broth might be made from some kind of concentrate (but I can't prove for sure). As you walk in Kyuramen has a uniquely wonderful look; hidden are their private tables and if you look to the side an area devoted to non alcoholic drinks . They have a nice appetizer selection ( try their potato wrapped shrimp); their ramen is wonderful. I recommend anything pork their pork buns and pork ramen was done to perfection. When my friend and I visited Kyuramen for dinner this place was absolutely packed! Long story short I wouldn't be surprised if Kyuramen became the next go-spot for people in the SJ area. What I really enjoyed most about Kyuramen were the vibes I was getting. There are open table seating areas, seats at the ramen bar, and also individualized/separate booths in the back for larger parties. We were treated so well by the staff and they were very attentive, checking in on us frequently. When it comes to the food, Kyuramen has a but more items on the menu than other nearby ramen places which includes specialty drinks (both the Thai Iced Tea and Cucumber Lemonade were delicious) and the omurice, which they cut open in front of you and dress with gravy. My favorite item on the menu I will say was my Sapporo Miso Ramen. I really don't think you can go wrong with the ramen. I do wish the noodles were firmer though. Out of all the appetizers, I liked the takoyaki the most followed by the pork bao bun and potato shrimp. The despite the fancy presentation, the omurice was just okay. At the end of the day, Kyuramen is a great place to hang with a friend and eat some good ramen. Definitely has a lot of potential too! Excited to see how this place grows and changes over time. This place is pretty good but a bit pricey for the quantity of food you're getting. My husband and I had the following: Pork bun - Average. I wouldn't get it again since I've had better elsewhere. Fried oysters - Delicious! Fried perfectly on the outside and the oysters were juicy and plumped on the inside. Similar to Sagami's but not as big. Tokyo tonkatsu shouyu ramen (#1) - The flavor was light (not a bad thing). The bowl was tiny though. Be prepared to order an extra side of noodles and pork if you have a larger appetite. Spicy Couple (CP#2) - Both the Sapporo miso and spicy tonkatau were good but I personally prefer the Sapporo miso broth. Ramen can sometimes be on the salty side and a bit too heavy for me but I find the flavors here to be just right. Thai tea - Classic Thai tea flavor but way too sweet for my liking. read more

Ramen was okay, dining atmosphere was less than pleasant. I wanted so much to like this place but ended up leaving a bit dissatisfied from both the food and the service. I ordered the spicy ramen and found it to be VERY oily. I will say that this has been the best ramen i've had in cherry hill, but that bar is VERY LOW. The soup doesn't have that richness that you generally get from a solid bowl of ramen, leaving you feeling very satisfied. However, the bowl is not bad! and perhaps i just ordered the wrong thing. But personally, i didn't find the ramen to be anything special. And for 13-14$ a bowl, i definitely found it to be subpar. Big city prices for a small town and ok ramen. They do have some other fun things on the menu, like omurice and baos, but unfortunately i did not get to try. i'm not sure if it's just because the place is new, but this place is VERY chaotic. When I arrived, i had trouble getting help around seating. A waiter kindly assisted me - i told him i was a group of 6 without a reservation. He proceeded to say that her would check the restaurant to see if any booths were open or if tables could be combined. Totally cool since i understand we didn't have a rezzy and i was more than happy to wait. HOWEVER, The host eventually came to me and asked me if i had a rezzy. i explained that someone was already helping me, but the host was quick to say the waiter was new and "didn't know anything", which is strange because the restaurant has JUST OPENED? soooo.... isn't everyone new (lol)? The host was less than pleasant to deal with and honestly just seemed rude and demeaning about the other workers but we eventually got seated. The acoustics here are also not the best for an optimal dining experience. it's SO loud and has the feeling of being in a crowded cafeteria. it didn't help that there were 2 screaming kids (to no fault of anyone's!) but it was definitely over stimulating and not a pleasant environment to dine. The people who worked here didn't really have defined roles and almost felt like my credit card was going to get lost at one point after payment. I really hope the poor service and chaos was simply due to them adjusting during a new opening. I get that they were probably busier than expected but was not a fan of how they handled things. Best ramen outside of Philly! I was lucky/unfortunate enough to come here the first day they opened. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The booths are great for covid-safe dining and spacious enough to fit about 6 people comfortably. For appetizers, we got the bao, fried oysters, and takoyaki. The bao was by the best bao I've had anywhere and the fried oysters were fresh. I didn't try the takoyaki but my friends who did really enjoyed them. I also got the brown sugar matta drink which was surprisingly good. I don't usually like matcha besides what I make at home but theirs is great (not too sweet). For my main dish, I got the spicy couple ramen (the split bowl). The broth was very flavorful and the noodles were cooked just right. You can adjust the spice level if you want it a bit milder. We got the matcha pudding with red bead for dessert. I've never had anything like it before. I wouldn't say I'd get it again because I'm not a fan of red bean and the texture of the pudding was a little dense for me but it was still very tasty. I say our visit was unfortunate because on opening day they had a lot of items out of stock/not available like the fried squid, half the desserts, and the ramen burger which was to be expected. The fried rice in the omurice had chunks of white rice that were not distributed evenly. The curry sauce that they pour on-top doesn't have a strong curry taste to it. Definitely dine in if you can and you'll enjoy the food more when it's freshly made versus sitting in a container. We've tried all the ramen flavors and the miso was the best by far. They were very booked because when we RSVP'ed we were told they had openings starting from 1.5 hours from when we called All was good because we hung out at the local Hmart & Cherry Hill Mall. First off, service was amazing! Our server straight up ripped open the alcoholic wipes for us pre-meal and opened the wipes again post-meal... talk about A++ sanitation lol. Add Kyuramen to your must-try restaurants because it is amazing! I came here for lunch with my daughter and was seated at one of their cozy private booths, which was one of my favorite parts. The booths are in little private 'rooms' with curtains. First, we ordered the pork bao buns (Definitely our favorite appetizer). The buns were so soft and the pork was tender and flavorful. Then we proceeded to order some ramen. They have a huge menu with different flavors of bubble tea, juice and smoothies. We finished the meal with a Mango cake. It was our favorite for sure. It was refreshing without being too sweet. Not only was the food great but the service was top notch! All the servers were polite and they came to check on our table frequently to make sure everything was going well. I've been seeing a lot of people talking about the new ramen place that recently just opened in Cherry Hill called Kyuramen and I had to give it a try. I decided to order the Spicy Kyushu Tonkotsu, Fried potato shrimp, and Steamed pork bao buns. This place looks pretty awesome with the sitting arrangements whether it is right in front of the kitchen, around the tree they have or even the private rooms. On to the food.....to start off the Steam Pork Bao Buns I would DEFINITELY recommend getting these as these were super tasty. The veggies they had inside taste like spinach with charshu and some kind of house sauce they placed in it. I like how they branded their steam buns with their logo. The next appetizer was the fried potato shrimp. This potato almost tasted like seasoned strains of hash browns that is wrapped around shrimp that was fried to perfection. It comes with the house sauce to also dip in and the sauce on the plate tasted like a mixture of sriracha and something else I couldn't figure out. This appetizer is another I would recommend. Lastly, to the main course which I chose to get the Spicy Kyushu Tonkotsu since I am a spicy kinda of guy ^_^ presentation it looks pretty good with nori, egg, corn, wakame, bamboo shoot and charshu. The broth was flavorful but a little too salty to my liking. In terms of spicy the flavor is tolerable but not over powering if you are not a spicy type of person. Was really excited to here that another ramen place was opening up around the area, and thankfully I was given a chance to try some of their things on their menu! Atmosphere: Okay I give this place a 10/10 for the atmosphere. I love their set up. The front area is designed like your typical ramen bar, plenty of seating, well lit. But they even have a back area with more seating in private booths (which is where I sat). Love the privacy, especially if you come with a bigger party. However, it did seem a little chaotic but I'm sure that's a given when the entire restaurant is packed (but that means good business!) I think it's great that they prioritize making sure their customers are enjoying their meal to the best of its capability. I thought the takoyaki was excellent, they were a nice size, crispy on the outside, warm and creamy on the inside, and the octopus on the inside was a good size, they definitely did not skimp out of the octopus! The potato shrimp was okay, it was definitely pretty to look at but other then the sauce it comes with, it could have been seasoned better. The porkbelly bao was pretty good as well! Nice flavor, wish there was more porkbelly, but other than that I was satisfied. For entrees we shared the tonkatsu omurice with the demi glaze. This was my first time having omurice so I didn't have anything to really compare it to. Overall it wasn't bad, but I wish it had more flavor besides the demi glaze. Also the rice was a little dry in my opinion, but like I said, overall, not too bad! The tonkatsu was good, nice and crispy, and the meat wasn't dry. It also comes with miso soup which was, well it was miso soup, no opinion, but it came with seafood which I thought was cool. We also had the special lemonade and their thai tea which we really enjoyed! I ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen (mild). I heard mixed reviews about their ramen but I was pretty satisfied with my order. I loved that it came with wavy noodles as they are my favorite. The broth had a nice kick to it, and had pretty good flavor, it kind of has a sweet side to it. I wish it was a bit creamier but thats just because I love a nice creamy broth. The charsiu wasn't bad, I just wish they were maybe a little thicker. For dessert we had the matcha crepe cake, I liked how light it was because I was so full from all the food. The cake was light and airy and the cream had a good clean matcha taste. Overall, Kyuramen wasn't half bad, but they do have some room for improvements. The omurice has a very unique savory taste and is not a common item so we enjoyed that! Also enjoyed the Thai iced tea and matcha pudding. Seating: It was two of us, and they had us sit in a private booth with walls and a screen, so we appreciated the extra safety measures during the pandemic. Everything was very clean and the noise level was comfortable. Service: Servers came by several times to check in on us and helped us get comfortable, so we felt we were treated very well! Speedy! It was like our dishes started coming out before we finished ordering. Seriously though, the serving of our food was quickly and efficient, and I really appreciated it. The only wrinkle was that, after we were initially seated in our booth, no one came to help us for awhile and my wife had to get up and find someone. Once things got rolling, everything was good. Notably, the guy taking our order got everything right even though we talked at him pretty fast (I love the Yelp check-in drink/dessert offer!). I had really high expectations when all these reviewers mention this is the best ramen they had outside of philly so we drove out to try it. When we arrived, we didn't have reservations so we waited 25 mins. They mention we can wait next door which is Tbaar. At first I questioned myself why they are helping Tbaar with business. Then I realized it is owned by the same owner. My expectations suddenly dropped. And I was right! The ramen didn't have any Japanese flavor. It tasted more Chinese than Japanese and it didn't fit the description of what other reviewers said about it. I would say I'm a ramen connoisseur. I tried many ramen places and this would be the lowest rating out of all. I'm giving 2 stars just for the service. The omurice was bland and lacking flavor. We loved the addition of the wooden plaques you could draw and write on and put on the wall or on the tree in the restaurant. The place was also super clean and spotless. The food came out quick and hot. For appetizers we got: fried oysters, popcorn chicken, fried gyoza, steam pork bao buns, and shrimp tempura. For our mains: chicken ramen, vegetable ramen, spciey kyushu tonkotsu ramen combo (came with a single order of a steam pork bao bun and a Thai iced tea), and a split ramen bowl (I forgot what my friend ordered but it was very good). We also got a strawberry banana smoothie, coconut smoothie, jasmine green teal, and a mango lemonade. We have all the foods and drinks a 5/5! So, I actually found out about this place opening up via Instagram. We tried to go on Thursday and got there at 6:30 PM, and it was a 30-45 minute wait for a table. Unfortunately, I had to be back at work by 8:15 PM, so we had to leave. That said, getting a reservation on Yelp for today was really helpful. The restaurant was packed again, and we only needed to wait about 10-15 minutes while they cleaned up the booth. There are two dining sections: the large "common room" where you can also see the cooking being done and the private booths. Not sure if you can get the private booth as a walk-in though. The private booth have a service button so if you need something, you can press it. The service overall was really nice. The food came out quickly, and it all tasted really good. The steamed pork bao buns were really fluffy and tender. It honestly felt like I wasn't biting into the pork belly. It does have a bit of a kick from the Kyuramen original sauerkraut peppers that was mixed in, but I liked it. If you get the omurice, they will ask if you want a video as they do the unveiling and preparation. The omurice does come with seafood miso soup, but you can ask them to omit the seafood if you have a seafood allergy (it would have come with shrimp and whatnot). This was my first time having proper omurice (that I didn't make at home), and it was good! Definitely very rich in flavour, but a little too overwhelming for me. I could only eat half. I may try this again but with the curry sauce instead. My partner got the Tokyo Tonkatsu Shoyu Ramen, and they enjoyed it. The pork was really tender and fell apart when trying to eat it with chopsticks. My partner and I would definitely come again. Though I will definitely be planning on trying other things. Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere? Kyuramen is a hidden gem! It's a nice looking restaurant from the outside, almost on the unassuming side. However, upon walking in the experience is so much better. It's bright, open and super clean. The best part are the individual, private stations they have set up that separate you from the waiter and the rest of the guests. I had never dined at a place like this so it was a delightful and welcomed experience. The staff was super attentive and responsive and our food came on record time. If I had to leave one tip for improvement it would be that the seats themselves were a bit too hard and rigid. They go with the decir but perhaps a seat cushion would be nice for a more comfortable seating experience. Star 2: How were the portions and quality relative to the price? We all know ramen is pretty cheap so paying $15 for a bowl here may seem on the higher end at first but let me tell you it's worth it! It's obviously a lot more gourmet than noodles you would buy at the supermarket. The meat and all the add una tasted super fresh and high quality. The portions are big as well! Overall, I'd say the portions and quality and on point for their price points. They also offer a lot of combo options which seem to save you a few bucks here and there which is a great option for families or larger groups. Star 3 and 4: How was the food? We ordered the pork bailo buns and the fried squid tentacles and they were just the right portion and size for an appetizer to warm up for our main meal. Highly recommend these two. The pork in the bao bun was cooked to perfection and the bun was soft and sweet. I love that you can customize the spice level on your ramen. We ordered on at a regular level and one at the hottest level. The spice was so enjoyable and just the right amount of heat where you could still taste all the other elements of the ramen. I highly recommend the Korean kimchi ramen and the tonkatsu curry ramen. Tip: get some kimchi on the side if you order the latter, it's delicious! For dessert the matcha crepe cake is AMAZING. I was so full from my meal but I just had to keep eating it because I couldn't bare to leave behind a single crumb of this. I also love their drink choices. When I walked into Kyuramen, I felt like I was in Japan, especially when seated at the booths. Everything was so clean and very well decorated. My friend and I came here to try out the food. Our verdict's: 1) pork bao buns was perfect and so delicious. The pork was very tender and was very flavorful. It comes with 2 so perfect for sharing! 2) takoyaki balls was phenomenal. Most places are not so generous with the octopus pieces, but you got a good few pieces with every bite. Very flavorful and light. 3) Curry Ramen was delicious with lots of flavor and seasoning 4) Spicy Shoyu was very good, but not as spicy as I thought it would be. The broth was very good and gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Very delicious. 5) Tokyo Shoyu Ramen was excellent as well. I personally preferred the spicier ramen, but this one was excellent as well. 6) omurice was definitely a little treat especially seeing the egg fall once it was cut. It came with miso soup and tonkatsu 7) Tonkatsu - probably the best I've had in a very long time. The pork was perfectly cooked and was not too dry. I loved the nice crunch of the breaded pork as well - cooked PERFECTLY. 6) miso soup was excellent. It was different than the traditional miso soup because it was seafood miso soup which gave it a nice summery taste. It was a little bit on the sweeter side. 7) Cherry Blossom Jelly was good. It comes with a blossom syrup in which you can definitely taste the flower aroma in your mouth with every bite. Definitely a great palate cleanser! 8) mango crepe cake was phenomenal! It was so delicious and light that I didn't feel guilty with every bite. Definitely recommend 9) brown sugar matcha tea was delicious and a great fun beverage to have on the side.
