They were able to kindly make a reservation in one of their private rooms (with only a fifteen minute wait) on a very busy night! They brought a birthday treat and sang to my daughter's boyfriend. Top tier authentic ramen spot in south Jersey. Service was great the staff was so attentive. To my surprise, the venue is a lot larger than it appears. There are back dining rooms that have a more intimate private feel if you are dining with a bigger group. You have to try the shrimp appetizer that was wrapped with fried potato, it was so tasty. I went with the mild spicy tonkatsu ramen and it was very delicious with the perfect amount of spice. The broth was flavorful and comforting. I asked for a side of kimchi and for $1 extra the portion size was generous. For dessert I had the matcha crepe a great way to end a great meal. The dessert was earthy mildly sweet which I prefer. Upon being seated, I was greeted with a sanitizing wipe (reminiscent of a hot towel at the older Japanese restaurants). The bun had a nice sweet, savory with a bite at the end. Having had a myriad of pork buns, this one had nice undertones & was very tasty. The ramen was very good as well. I prefer a strong broth, so this was a bit light, but everything else that came with it was great. The Chashu pork had a sweet, savory & salty taste which was a new take to the traditional pork I've had, but was very enjoyable - I could have ate a plate full of this Chashu...no problem. The noodle was cooked to the perfect stiffness, and amount of oil was excellent. The egg was cooked to a perfect consistency, as well. They were very accommodating to my special request, and couldn't be happier. At the end of a meal, I was greeted with another hand wipe, AND mask - that is above & beyond service you would expect from any restaurant! Each ramen was so delicious, unique in flavor. They also have their own spices on a table , just in case. They bring each dish as soon as its ready, so it doesn't matter if its an appetizer or the main dish. I think that's good, it indicates that they care about the freshness of each dish. I can't even talk about desserts, because it was sooo good! I have crepe cakes from Lady M, and these were even better! While I love would to give them a full review, they neglected to give us our entire meal conveniently before closing. We made it home and only had the meats and veggies for one bowl. Was very excited to try this new ramen spot and it did not disappoint! As a group we tried a little bit of everything: split ramen (spicy couple), omurice, pork belly bun, Thai tea, okonomiyaki. I recommend the okonomiyaki, fave part of the meal for me. The split ramen bowl was nice to try 2 different ramens but it's a tight bowl to eat in. Making the meal a combo was a pretty good deal. For an extra $6 you were able to get a Thai tea and a pork bun. The service was nice and attentive. We were really excited to try the omurice, but it was kind of disappointing and there wasn't a lot of flavor to it.
