I had higher expectations of this place. The place is much more middle eastern fussion than California LA. Not a bad thing but not what I was expecting. The food was not what I would serve to represent LA (I am a California native).Lots of fried saucy crap with odd flavors that most health conscious in CA would avoid and pita bread was OK but needed some flavor and dip. There was a seafood sandwich on the menu that interested me but was weirdly seasoned and dry. The lemon soup was a bit bland and house salad was a strange mixture more like a Caesar with spice. A friend and I recently went to this place and had the chicken lime rice soup with a side of potatoes. Right after leaving the restaurant we started feeling very dizzy and disoriented. We had to pull over as we felt we were about to pass out. We had to quickly call 911 since we obviously knew something was wrong. After taking our vitals our heart was elevated. Thank God we are okay now but the feeling of dizziness didn't go away until a couple of days later. DO NOT EAT HERE! I am not sure what they put on the food but be aware. read more

Don't believe the way to obvious reviews written by the staff and owners. The atmosphere is nice but the food is terrible. All the sauces are right out of jars. I had a portobello dish that had canned mushrooms. Yes canned! My date had chicken that was super dry and way over cooked. The food was good but the waiter asked us to leave immediately after paying our check with a 20% tip because there were people waiting. It was not if were lingering on for a long time. It was just okay. The service was adequate, not necessarily friendly though - with the exception of the pleasant young greeter at the door. She was welcoming and knowledgeable. I don't think the tablet menu is a good idea. I wasnt wowed by the technology, if that's what they're going for. The layout and functionality of it needs to be improved. It took a long time to navigate through the choices, tapping on them for a description, photo and price. Then X-ing out to select another item to view. I would rather just read a menu, where I don't have to maneuver a tablet that hundreds of other people have swiped on also. The steak Portobello Rice bowl had about four pieces of mushroom in it, two of which where either Portobello spores or were actually cremini mushrooms. The two that did look and taste like Portobello were about a centimeter wide and an inch long. I wanted to take a picture but just didn't feel like going there. I think the steak was described as tenderloin, it was so overcooked and dried out that it might as well have been flat iron steak. Thank goodness I asked for the steak sauce on the side. I dipped my finger in it and I'm pretty darn sure it was A-1. If that's made in-house, well kudos to them on the clone, but gross. The vegetables on the almond chicken plate looked more like a garnish; there were 4 baby carrots and 4 tiny florets of broccoli and 1 random potato chunk or turnip or something. Some guy in an apron came over and thanked us for coming in. He didn't introduce himself so I'm not sure if he was the dishwasher or the owner; the bus boy was dressed nicer, so I don't think this guy was a busboy. We sat for quite a while with our dirty dishes in front of us, waiting for our bill. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. My parents were visiting for the weekend and picked this place due to the high yelp reviews. The atmosphere is nice. The building was clean. The manager was kind, but service was horrible. They never took our drink order. We were just brought water. The food came out in stages instead of all at once. The bread was burnt and everything was too greasy. The fact that this place is listed so high on yelp when Canton has so many good food choices is an insult to the city. read more

We went slightly out of our way to come here, based on the yelp reviews, and enjoyed a very satisfactory dinner. Whoever is running the kitchen is definitely working hard to put out a product that is better than its competitors. This reasonably priced casual restaurant does plenty of things things right. I had the firecracker chicken which I would strongly recommend. And little things, like the quality of the table bread and a the fresh lemon with the soup did not go on noticed. I am sorry I did not get the name of our delightful server. We look forward to our next visit. PS. half of the restaurant was unused the night we were there. I was not impressed. Food was okay at best. Chicken was dry. There was very little sauce on any of the entrees even their signature almond chicken. Had to request for plates to be removed after each course even though they were empty. Water pitcher was not refilled. Menu was on tablet but pictures were not uploaded on many dishes. Nice atmosphere but maybe they should have waited to open until everything was ready. Paper napkins....no liquor license. Had lunch here last week with Mom. While there was no "official" lunch menu, the portions were so large We ended up with two meals each. The meals were fresh, generous and very tasty. Best lemon rice soup I've had- not gummy and over starchy-proper soup with a crostini instead of crackers, and a slice of lemon on the side in case you wanted it more tart. The chicken primavera was beautifully presented, and was delicious. The chicken parm had a huge chicken breast and loaded with cheese, and a generous potion of linguine. Both entrees came with the soup and hot fresh bread. The wait staff were prompt but not overbearing. Our chef came out to check on our satisfaction. Came in a on Saturday and was told there would be a 45 minute wait which wasn't a problem. Then a waitress comes 10 minutes later and tells us our table is ready so we go and sit down. We were a table of 6 and got a booth. The waiter comes and takes our drinks orders then the owner comes with a snarky attitude accusing us of sneaking in and taking a table. he said said "i don't know how you got in, did you just slide in and grab a table that wasn't for you when i said it's a 45 minute wait" i then said the lady at the front gave us this table. he then tries to back track and say it's going to be a very long wait for the food. he then walks away and the waiter comes back and continues with trying to take our order. the owner walks by again and gives our table a dirty look. so disrespectful, your employee seated us and you have the audacity to think we would sneak in and take a table. we got up and left and the waiter tried to encourage us to stay while the owner stood back and gave a dirty look as we were leaving. read more

NO CREDIBILITY! Before you read this, I did give the owner a full week to respond an make things right. Look at my other reviews, I give credit where it's due. About the owner, IMO, Shady business practices. Do not expect the banquet service will be any good based off restaurant experience. The owner marketed a pleasant experience, then gave me a hard time and didn't live up to his promises on the day of the event because he knew I was stuck. Very small food portions, didn't refill soda. Cut every corner possible, For example , appetizer offered came out to one shrimp per guest. One medium plate of hummous per 7 guests! At 32/head and this is what you get? Avg of 1.5 little strips of almond chicken/guest. To top it off, cheated me by charging for extra people. I'm disputing this and have footage, pics, and his own camera shot to prove this. I know how many people were there. I would've let it slide, but his response was very unprofessional. Even charged for a disabled child on a feeding tube who didn't eat a single thing saying if there's a presence, there's a charge. He was NOT the same guy who comes to your table with a fake smile on the restaurant side. But too be fair to the server , Hassan was amazing. He went above and beyond, but unfortunately did not have any control over what the owner was doing. The owner even dismissed his own manager who was also cooperative. Amazing food!! They're very accommodating, staff is friendly, and the environment is very welcoming! I've been there several times and didn't notice an inconsistency in their food. It was always great! I like that it's always clean and the waiters come around frequently so I usually get what I need right away. One thing I can't stand when eating at a restaurant is when the waiters rarely come around and the only time they're really nice is when they're handing you the bill.
