I ordered the steak and shrimp rice bowl. Its new, I'm a foodie, so let's try. The flavors are there but the wedges are a bad idea . As you see in my photo, I had to pull them out in order to enjoy the dish. Next time I'll opt out of the wedges because they detract from the dish entirely. Still one of the best restaurants in Canton!

Service was great (a bit heavy on the cologne though, gentlemen) Food was amazing - Linguine Frutti di Mare was great, except the sauce could have used more salt & pepper (generally lacked seasoning), but the seafood was cooked well. Wasn't a lot of seafood in the dish, but it was still a great dish. The bread, the pizza, the apps, etc., were really dope (check my photos). When I'm near the area again I'll be popping in for sure.

LA Bistro is one of my favorite places to eat! The food is always fresh and flavorful, and you can really tell they care about quality. The service is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is modern and stylish. Every meal I've had there has been consistently delicious -- definitely a local gem worth visiting!

This is a lovely little spot off the beaten path in Canton. It's worth looking for. The food is really tasty, and the portions are ginormous. Decor is nicely done. The staff are super attentive. Our waiter was fantastic. It's the kind of place where you'll never have to ask for anything, things will just appear as if by magic. I started with a little seafood soup number. If I'd have known how huge my entree was going to be, I would have skipped it. What a shame that would have been because the soup was delicious. It is a definite hearty type of chowder but with a lemon wedge, green onion, and creme fraiche to liven it up. I'm so glad I had it to heat up today, it's just as tasty. For my main dish, I went with almond chicken. The chicken was perfectly fried with a creamy sauce on top studded with sun-dried tomato. The rice was fluffy, and the veggies were expertly seasoned. I ended up bringing half home. It also reheated tasting amazing. My husband had the fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken. He really liked the pasta and said his chicken was super tender and juicy. It was a very generous portion, and he took some home too. Everything here was just superb. I can't think of a single complaint. There was a good crowd dining in and a party room full next to the dining room, but it was so peaceful and organized. Try it. I think you'll love it.

Parking spaces were ample as the neighboring businesses weren't busy at all during this holiday week. The inside was not ornately decorated as some of the fancier places in the area that serve this type of cuisine. Between the booths and tables, my estimate was that the seating capacity was around 50 customers. The menu booklet contained several pages of offerings across the categories of appetizers, soups, salads, sides, wraps/subs, traditional dishes, and seafood/chops. For beverages, there were juices, smoothies, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. My friends each chose a different type of wrap for their meal. I picked one of the entrees from the traditional dishes which was the Gallaba over Hummus. In my hometown, I don't see gallaba as often as items like shish kabobs and shawarma. My order consisted of a choice of meat (lamb was my pick) sauteed with green peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, and carrots with special spices added. The mixture was served on a bed of hummus with my choice of rice on the side. A cup of chicken rice soup (instead of lentil) also came with this traditional dish. While we were waiting for our food, a basket of warm pita bread and a cup of garlic spread were provided. The spread was very pungent so I used it sparingly. An extra dinner salad was mistakenly added which I saved for leftovers. The gallaba was essentially a Middle Eastern version of a meat stir fry. The pieces of lamb were tender and not gamey. The spices added flavor but not saltiness. Between the bread, soup, rice, and gallaba, it was a generous portion size that also became leftovers for later. For the quality and price of my meal, I gave a four star rating for our visit to The Sheikh Restaurant.

La Marsa is a staple, love that they have multiple convenient locations! I think the nicest location that I've been to is probably the one in FH on Drake & Grand River (or maybe Troy) but the Plymouth location is perfect for convenient carry out. Yum!

My husband and I are both obsessed with the half deboned chicken (white meat only), with the classic lemon-oregano sauce. The chicken has a bit of a char, but is still juicy. The sauce is a perfect balance of garlicky and herby goodness, with the bright snap of lemon. It's delicious! The chicken comes with two sides. I usually get hummus as a side, along with the roasted vegetables. My husband always eats half my hummus, so I get some of his rice. All the sides are delicious, except I wish the roasted vegetables had fewer green peppers. I'm just not a fan of them. The service is always super friendly and attentive. Love La Marsa!

Shawarma, is a Mediterranean street food that originated in the Middle East, and is extremely popular Egypt, Lebanon, and Iraq to name a few places on the map. With the migration of people from these countries to Michigan over the past few decades, it was only natural they would bring along their delicious cuisine. If you're looking for great shawarma, but don't want to drive down to Dearborn from the western suburbs with the price of gas at all-time record highs, then My Shawarma located on M-153 in Canton won't disappoint you in the least.
