The spices completely hijacked the broth, wiping out any of that rich, natural beef flavor. It was definitely lacking seasoning. I lucked out with the Vegetarian Egg Roll Vermicelli. Huge portion, great aroma, and the egg rolls (stuffed with taro, mushrooms, and black fungus) were super crispy and delicious. Way better seasoned than the soup! The Verdict: It's a solid "middle of the pack" spot. The owner is super nice, service is standard, and bonus: parking is a breeze. That said, a pho spot lives and dies by its broth. If they level up the soup base, they'll definitely pull in a bigger crowd.

He got the chow mein with beef, along with a banh mi and I got the pho with beef tendon and flank. The tendons were so fatty and the best texture while the flank was so fresh and cooked to perfection. The beef in the chow mein were so tender and the banh mi were seasoned perfectly. This place is very much a sleeper hit for me and the service was fast.

I ordered a bowl with the flat noodles, Chinese greens, tripe and won tons over a simple flavor cube broth. Without tax, tip or any of that it was about $4 worth of food, I included a pic of it with this review. It was a decent amount of food, tasted okay, and the service was quick. I'd be willing to try it again with a different combination. They also had a special on curry squid, which they presented in skewers. I didn't really like it, it seemed like they boiled the squid in hot water and them poured Japanese curry sauce over it, it didn't really have any flavor. I'd be willing to try this place again.
