Radiator Whiskey has been on my bucketlist for a while, and I'm so excited to have finally tried it! Located on the upper floor of Pike's Place, this cute bar has a good amount of seating with both table and bar top options. We went on a Saturday night at around 9 PM and it wasn't too crowded -- we were quickly seated at the bar top for a party of two. When you walk in you'll notice that they have a more rustic, dark ambiance that still provides a more casual feel. We were immediately greeted by our host and were seated right away! We were having a late dinner so we ended up getting the Tater Tots with all the toppings, beef tartare, and a side of their coleslaw. For the two of us, that was more than enough! Their portion sizes were very generous and filling. The tater tots were amazing, with the perfect amount of crisp, sauce, and toppings! The beef tartare was also so delicious with the perfect amount of seasoning and the yolk beautifully ran through the meat. For drinks, we ended up getting two cocktails as well as as a whiskey flight. For the cocktails we ordered the Turn the Page and Angel's Wings. Both drinks were absolutely amazing! It was the perfect balance of tasting the spirit with its complementary fruity notes. Our bartender also curated a flight for us based on our budget, preferences, and curiosities because we were interested in learning more about the different whiskeys and it was such an amazing experience! I learned so much about whiskeys and tried new ones that I never would've considered trying otherwise! Overall, this was such an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend checking our Radiator Whiskey if you're in the Seattle area! This place is suspiciously highly rated, making me question the legitimacy of the reviews here. My experience was less than stellar and here is a list of observations of which each one would have been enough to deter me from coming back. In no particular order. It's a greasy spoon .... so unclean the tables are sticky. Enough said. I could not confirm that it was real Woodford Reserve Bourbon in my custom Manhattan, and by the insta-headaches it gave me, it certainly wasn't. Serving well-whiskey under brand label is illegal and the Washington State Liquor Board wouldn't take kindly if I reported it on my phone before even paying the bill the next time. Radiator Whiskey with a entire wall full of Whiskey bottles is playing with fire and just crossed the line with me. I will be back to check up on that. The pulled pork sandwich was ok, but minimalist dry with just a sprinkle of coleslaw and red onions. So was the side salad, dry, with the dressing being 'barely there.' Barely there was also the AC on this night of a heatwave. With closed windows. I was sweaty and couldn't wait to get out into fresh air of the same temperature while sticking to my table. As for the vibe, they play alternative punk rock, maybe a bit too loud for good conversation. All I can say here is each to their own, but the place just wasn't for me. read more

Had the best date night here! Stopped by on a Saturday late afternoon. FYI- It was a little warm inside on a Seattle summer day. It didn't seem like they had air-conditioning so dress accordingly. It's on the third floor of the building next to the main Pike Place market sign. My partner and I were lucky and able to get bar seating but I would recommend making reservations as seating was limited. We ordered happy hour drinks and then ordered fully loaded tots and a pulled pork sandwich. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Two friends and I were wandering around after Pike Place Market closed, hoping to find a cool place to eat. The signage beckoned us up the stairs. Our expectations were not super high, but were firmly exceeded and then some. Great service, very tasty food and excellent drinks! Still a great place for carnivores but I do miss the Debris sandwich and wish it would come back. It was a blessing and a curse to work with the business located directly across from Radiator because that smell of smoke and meat always made me happy but very distracted. The wedge salad was great and I really enjoyed the brisket. Glad I went with our server's recommendation! It would be great if the menu listed info on the beef source because when we asked if it was grass-fed/finished or supplier, we didn't get much of an answer. This prevented my partner from ordering a beef dish and he went with mac n cheese. Mac n cheese was a bit dry even with the pulled pork. Not enough bbq sauce. I have been to this location twice and the fact is I had to return after the first time to get more of the flavor packed food. Now I have not eaten a pig head eating anything's face and head is not very appealing to me but others more brave than I seem to enjoy it. I have enjoyed a beverage from their cocktail menu they are spendy but done well with quality spirits. The brisket is tasty love the whipped horseradish mixed with the bite of tender and flavor filled meat. The cornbread side dish I cannot stop eating it's so good. Our first time here! It's tucked away with the other businesses near Pike Place Market. It's where Wild Fish Poke is and you'll see their sign on the right and then up the stairs! It's across from Matt's in the Market and on the 2nd floor. Place is small so they DO require a reservation! They have an assortment of drinks, several bourbons and whiskey. I got the autumns mark which has 4 different liquors and fall spices. My bf tried the "pickle back" which is a shot of bourbon + a shot of pickle juice. I'm not a fan of bourbon but man, you gotta try the pickle juice! If you like pickles, you will like this, their own recipe too! The loaded tots you must get! Truly loaded with tender pulled pork, pickled goat horn peppers (so good), smoked cheddar cheese, GRAVY and a soft fried egg on top! I LOVED their braised beef brisket! Three hunks of beef, slowly braised and oh so tender with arugula on the side and some nice buttered onions with subtle horseradish crème on the side. Dip the beef in that crème and braised sauce, delicious! To end the good food and drinks, we had the fried bread pudding that had bourbon caramel and whipped cream. You NEED TWO of these! Hard to find, worth locating it! Not the main stream place but a hidden gem! Miss Kari was the best bar tender and the menu of drinks "Setlist" is all because of her! You have to try the Triad. Came here during my husband's work trip over the weekend and we were pleasantly surprised. It is a bit tricky to find as it's nestled inside the building and have to take the elevator but was totally worth the venture. The view near the windows is absolutely amazing. Our server was great and had honest recommendations for us. We both ordered the cheeseburger with a side of tater tots! Not only was the service personable but the food served was delicious. We came on a Friday night, and the vibes were great and the food & drinks were even better. We had the: - Drunken Tots - These are on the happy hour menu (which goes until 6PM) and makes for a great shareable appetizer - Braised Beef Brisket - My favorite dish! The brisket just falls apart and the horseradish sauce pairs so well - Mac & Cheese - Can never go wrong with more carbs! There's an option to add pulled pork as well if desired - Seasonal Veggies - What's better than market-fresh vegetables? This was the perfect addition to our heavier dishes - Old Fashioned & Market Mule - Whiskey Sour & Angel's Wings Cocktail - All I can say about the Angel's Wings is wowwww! For first time visitors, you can find the restaurant tucked in on the second floor of the Corner Market. Another great time at Radiator Whiskey! We got to sit in the heart of the room and enjoyed a full view of the bar and the kitchen in action. The drinks were very good. The Corn bread was excellent as was the Pomme salad, featuring arugula, golden raisins, pear, walnuts, and a zesty tasty lemon vinaigrette. We decided to have a couple pours of whisky and to be honest they may have been the standout of our visit. We highly recommend getting Hakushu 12 while it lasts, a smokey pear nectar of the gods, as well as the lightly peated Highland Park 12, with orange on the nose, honey, and spiced dried fruit - both were really terrific. The Good The happy hour prices were excellent, and the appetizers and sandwiches were very good. If you're just stopping in for drinks and a quick bite, the value during happy hour is hard to beat. The Bad The entrees were disappointing. The meat was dry, the "cornbread pudding" had no pudding-like consistency at all, and the "potato salad" was essentially plain potatoes with very little on them. Considering the quality of the appetizers, the main courses were a letdown. The Ugly The service left a lot to be desired. Our waiter wasn't particularly friendly. It also felt like the focus was on the local crowd at the bar rather than the dining room. When it came time to pay, the server asked how we wanted to handle the checks. We said we'd like to split them, only to be told they could only run separate credit cards--not separate the bill by what each person ordered. If that's the restaurant's policy, it should be explained before ordering, not after the meal. I don't mind paying my share, but I also don't want to cover someone else's $20 whiskey. Overall, with so many great restaurants in the area, I wouldn't recommend this one. read more

Unfortunately, I don't know how this place is worth going to. I feel like this place should only be a bar and tapas. Period. They should not be a restaurant at all. We ordered two appetizers, pork tater tots they were good the meat was dry, that should have warned me to not get more food. We also got burnt ends, which were very "burnt" to say the least ‍ but we didn't think anything to be as bad as what was to come. We ordered two entrees a brisket and fried chicken, both were sent back. The brisket was so tough we couldn't cut it with a knife and the chicken was so overcooked, even a cornbread was burnt? Why serve a burnt corn bread, that costs nothing to make a new one to put on the plate before you send it out. The vibe is excellent, with all kind of wonderful things on the wall. The location is great as Pike Place is so happening and this on the second floor is both cool and quiet. went to this spot for Seattle restaurant week and overall I liked the spot but I felt like the food items were very either hits or misses for me, and that we felt like the meal started off really good and each dish kept getting less good. We really liked the burnt ends and that was probably my favorite part of the meal, the sauce was very good. The cheese dish was good but I felt like it was a lot of cheese for the amount of bread, the garlic bits in it was my favorite part-- def eat this fast as the Cheese hardens quick. The beef tartare was alright but overall wasn't very flavorful and a bit bland to us. Surprisingly we all really liked the pasta, very nice in contrast with all the heavy meats and cheeses we were eating -- we saw on the menu it was quite pricey but was def worth for the SRW deal. We all thought the brisket dish was meh, and that the meat was dry and we all didn't like the horseradish cream it came with --- honestly I thought it was like a very sour sour cream and didn't enjoy it at all. My friend did love the cornbread side it came with tho and that was her fav thing of the entire meal but you can just order that as a side. As for the bread pudding, I felt like it was just meh -- the cream it comes with is very alcohol tasting and the bread pudding itself was alright, very crunchy on the outside and soft inside. In town for 24 hours on business, I was looking for a place within walking distance of my hotel for a drink and a bite. After a thorough Yelp search, I thought Radiator Whiskey in Pike Place Market looked promising. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it delivered big time on that promise. I arrived a little after its 3PM opening on a Tuesday in time for happy hour. Radiator Whiskey truly looked the part of a whiskey bar with its eye-catching backbar stocked with an impressive selection of brown spirits. Radiator Whiskey's lineup of bourbons, ryes, scotch, and all things whisk(e)y was impressive and seemed exceedingly fair in its pricing especially for those highly-sought after allocated whiskey pours. That said, I was in the mood for a cocktail or two. After looking over the happy hour specials, I was very tempted to try one of their barrel-aged classic cocktails, but I opted for one of their "Headliners" instead, the Angel's Wings ($26), a fascinating concoction made with coconut fat-washed, Radiator Whiskey barrel pick, Angel's Envy bourbon; raspberry mint syrup; Nocino walnut liqueur; dry curacao; root beer bitters; and vanilla rose spritz. While it was a pricey drink even by my hometown Las Vegas standards, I found it to be worth it in terms of its creativity and my overall enjoyment. Since it was happy hour, I took advantage of the happy hour priced Fried Pig Ears ($10). They were excellent, if you like offal like I do. I've had pig ears before that were a bit tough and chewy, but these nicely seasoned, perfectly fried, and practically melt in your mouth tender. I washed it down with the Triad ($17) made with Four Roses Single Barrel bourbon, Los Vecinos mezcal, Amaro Ciochiaro, black pepper tincture, lemon bitters, and a Szechuan spritz. It was boozy, smoky, and spicy goodness. Radiator Whiskey really blew my socks off. It won me over with its imaginative, expertly-crafted, delicious cocktails. The one food item I tasted left me wanting to try some more of their offerings the next time I'm in town. A must for cocktail lovers! read more

I don't leave a lot of reviews on Yelp, but after my experience, please understand, this is single handedly one of the best meals I've had while traveling. Growing up in North Carolina exposed me to having pork in just about every way imaginable. However, I have never in my life experienced the pork shank the way it was prepared for me here. The dish was tender, crispy, and one of the most delicious treats I've ever had. I savored every morsel and wished for more. I can't leave out the peppers on the side. Elevating the experience and bringing a bit of spice without being overbearing. Did I mention the bourbon selection? I was able to enjoy a single barrel Larceny Wheated Bourbon. On the rocks I was able to fulfill the destiny of this absolutely delicious experience. Too many bourbons to experience in one night but was able to take advantage of the closing happy-hour and get the "well shot" of Buffalo Trace. I mean, what? BT is your well? I'm in 100% If you like melt your face food followed up with unobtainable bourbon, you've found your place. Assuming you can actually find this place...I circled the block 3 times before I found it. I highly recommend a flight of whiskey though as you get a great selection to choose from. The food is scratch made and delicious no matter what you get. It does tend to get a little warm in there (you're literally next to an open kitchen) but that's OK b/c you can always cool down with another drink! This spot is located upstairs on the back side of a building right in the heart of Pike's Peak Public Market. The meats here were pretty good, the rib meat came right off the bone, I wasn't expecting it to be this good to be honest, portions were a bit lacking for the price, but the flavor & meat quality were excellent.
