Seriously wonderful! Citron is such a hidden gem here off 512 between Tacoma and Spanaway. The fusion menu is beautiful! It is full of unique flavors, classic dishes, and lovely presentation. The service was excellent, our server being kind and attentive. She was warm and was sure to check on us, but didn't overdo it. There is an excellent selection in every course - even toting es cargot, which is not easy to find in these parts. The bread with the leftover garlic butter was heaven! We enjoyed a little of everything, sharing dishes and having plenty left over to take home! The bistro ambience was wonderful and inviting, if a little cheesy (in the best way). We will be back to try more of their menu soon! Can't wait!

Delicious food with perfectly cooked vegetables and interesting flavors. The chicken cordon bleu and beef bourginon were perfect.

everything about this place is great. Server, food, atmosphere, parking. its a little secret spot that deserves all the recognition. The server is very friendly and knowledgeable The food is on point everytime The deserts are elegant and hood portions Ive tried most things one the menu and everyone of them is some of the best food I've had in Washington. I even tried escargo and it was surprisingly delicious.

My husband and I went on a date night and wanted some French food. Found this little gem on a Google search. A hole in the wall restaurant. A diamond in the rough. If you didn't know the place was there you'd likely miss it. But now you know it's there. Don't miss the opportunity for an excellent meal. We had: Appys: French onion soup 5/5 probably the best I've had Tarte 4/5 this was seriously delicous. Almost like a pizza but not at the same time Mains: Bouche 10/5 amazingly fresh and the flavors here were heavenly. The puff was fresh and the seafood Inside was sooo good. I'd go back again just for this. Bouf bourg 4/5 the meat and veggies were really good. There was what I think was deep friend noodles. (?) with it that wasn't my favorite flavor wise. If I was ordering again I'd ask just got veggies with my beef. Very tender and flavorful!! Desert: citron crepe 10/5 this was delicious. I have a strict one bite of sugar rule. I broke it and took two bites. Was the best two bites I've had in over a year. Our server was Paxton. She was amazingly friendly and willing to give us her opinion on all the food. She wasn't wrong. Tho I'm guessing I could order anything on the menu and it would be great. If you're in the area. STOP here. You won't regret it.

I recommend this place for its Great service and delicious food. The restaurant gives the vibes of comfort and peace. The Chef is a talented professional that knows how to flavor the products he prepares. The food is worth the prices on the menu. Try it you will love it!!!

I went here for my birthday a couple years ago and will be going again this year. Great place. The chef came out after dinner service. The food was amazing. Great wines, and I really enjoyed the escargot

Food: This place is a true taste of home. The seafood for both dishes is the same seafood medley that I buy from Costco. The sauce for my dish seemed to be the same sauce for my companion's dish. The muscles were undercooked, or at least I assume so because they were not open. The puff pastry was burned on the underside, while my asparagus was frozen in the middle...yep, a true taste of home cooking. Ambiance: this place tries to be fancy. It is.. not. I mean the decor is cheap and the walls under the windows are unfinished. Honestly I wouldn't be so salty if it weren't for the fact that we were mean mugged the entire time we were there by the staff and dinners? If there is a dress code or vibe going on, it'd be pretty cool if it was mentioned on the website. It was just a casual Sunday dinner for me, so I'm unsure if I ruined the vibe for others by not wearing a dress or by bringing a well behaved child. I am a total foodie and love finding new foods to try (just take a look at my reviews), I especially love mom and pop restaurants. I don't think I've ever felt so uncomfortable and unsatisfied in a Tacoma restaurant before. Definitely will not be coming back. Also this restaurant is not kid friendly. Don't take your kids. 2/5 stars because I think there's room for improvement but I also love my Tacoma small businesses. I hope they start doing better.

What is the cost of a meal?

Entrees range from $24-35 ... appetizers range from $13-24 ... their food is excellent and their portions are decent, so I usually split an appetizer and entree with a friend. Plus you can order bread.

Recently stopped in here for a date night with the wife…read more We've been looking for a decent replacement ever since Tacoma lost the Rhein Haus. Since my wife is of German heritage, brats and kraut are a thing in our life. The menu here looked really good, so we stopped in our 29th anniversary. I will say, there is a parking lot across the street. For those who've been in the area for a while and remember past times, it used to be a used car lot Luckily I found an empty spot on the street right out front, so I grabbed it. But yeah, parking in this area can be tricky. Just be aware that there is the lot across the street on Puyallup Avenue, the entrance is from "Court A", which looks like an alley but is technically a road. Tacoma is fun like that. So let's talk food. We ordered the Brätzel, because my wife loves a good soft pretzel with some beer cheese. This one states that it's a beer cheese soup, and it was a bit thinner than a typical beer cheese. But it had a really good flavor. It was not gritty at all like some beer cheese can be (I'm looking at you Hops&Drops). I'm not a huge pretzel fan, but I will say that I tried a portion of it and enjoyed this one. The pretzel had a good flavor and the beer cheese soup was great. We also split the Landjäger / Käse Platte. Let's get one thing clear, this thing is bigger than it looks on the menu. There's a lot here. I'm really not sure exactly which of the four cheese were which. If you go by the description on the Käse Platte then it should be Bavaria Bleu Crème, Raclette, Emmentaler and Butterkäse. The Bleu Crème is easy to spot. The rest look similar really. But each had a unique flavor and all tasted absolutely wonderful. The cured beef and pork sausages were good, but the cheese stole the show here. We also shared the Berliner Platte for a main. Again, I can not stress this enough, there is A LOT of food here. the two of us had no chance of eating all this. This plate comes with the following sausages; Berliner Bratwurst, Smoked Cheese, Spicy Cheese, Chicken Andouille & Bockwurst as well as being served with sauerkraut and you get to pick two sides. We chose the Spätzle and Pommes (fries). All of this was amazing. The spicy sausage and the andouille were too spicy for my wife, but we knew that going in. If you have a group and are wanting to sample the many wursts here, I would highly recommend this plate. Now, let's talk service. I don't remember our server's name, but she was so great. Very friendly, very tentative, very good at her job. This was exactly the kind of service I look for when I go out to a restaurant. I don't want some tablet where I'm interacting with a faceless machine, I don't want a kiosk, I want a real person who engages with us and helps make our experience the best it can be, and this place gets it. The staff here is on point, they are good, they take good care of you and the experience made s want to come back. This place is for sure at the top of our list for German food here in Tacoma. If you have not been, you need to stop by. It's not big, it's not fancy, you'll drive right by it if you aren't paying attention. But this place is by far the perfect replacement for our missing sausage haus. We are so glad we stopped in.

One day I received a notification that one of my fellow Yelpers had checked into this place, and I…read moredecided to look it up to see what they had to offer. I'm a big fan of breweries, especially those with several drinks on draught or tap, and if they're really good, I'll buy them in a bottle. However, I read their review and noticed that they had vegan and vegetarian options, so I thought, "You know what? That's a combination I can't resist. Beers with a delicious sandwich!" A few days later, I made plans to visit on Saturday, which happened to be one of the two days this year that it snowed in the Pirec. It was quite amusing with the parking and the snow that stuck everywhere. As soon as I walked in, the bar was buzzing with energy. It had a great vibe. I didn't think I'd get any seats, but I managed to snag one at the bar with a very friendly person. I spent all but about 3 to 4 hours there. The sandwich I ordered was called the Rainier, and it was mentioned in the review, but the name wasn't revealed. It consists of a field roast loaf, Chao vegan cheese, herbed vegan mayonnaise, tomato, red onion, and arugula on sourdough bread. I'm not a big fan of mayonnaise, even if it's vegan, so I swapped it out with some pesto-style creamy cheese, and it turned out even better than I expected. The sandwich was a perfect five out of five. I would definitely order it every time I come. It came with a side of chips, which was a great addition. The sandwich was massive, so I could only eat half of it. I took the other half home for the next day. For my beers, I'm a big stout-and-porter guy, so I went with the Fort George's. They had two options: the Salted Caramel Cavatica & Matryoshka Vanilla. Both were exceptionally flavorful and probably my favorite porters I've had in all of Washington and many other states. Unfortunately, they ran out of the Salted Caramel Cavatica, so I ended up drinking the Matryoshka Vanilla for the rest of the night and didn't mind at all. Overall, I had a fantastic time at this place. I'm definitely going to make it a regular stop in my monthly rotations around Tacoma. Highly recommend stopping by this place. It's definitely a five. Service is amazing, and the drinks are worth the trip. They have an array of options, which is what I love about this place. Until next time!

The cabbage rolls are delicious, the meatballs are fantastic, and their fresh-baked breads and pastries are some of my favorites in the area. That being said... I made the mistake of coming here on a Saturday afternoon. First, the parking lot. Wow. It took me probably 10-15 minutes just to find a parking spot. There simply isn't enough parking for the number of people that come here on weekends, so everyone is circling the lot waiting for someone to leave. Then, once you finally find a space, people don't leave enough room to get in or out because traffic is coming from every direction. If driving stresses you out, I'd honestly recommend visiting during the week instead. Monday through Friday around lunchtime has always been a much easier experience for me. Inside was just as busy. The deli counter had a huge line, and the store was packed with people. It was difficult to move around because shoppers were constantly walking in front of each other without much awareness of those around them. None of that is really the store's fault--it just speaks to how popular they are--but it definitely made for a stressful visit. The reason I stopped in this time was to finally try some of the desserts, and I'm so glad I did. The honey cake was absolutely incredible and easily my favorite. I'll definitely be buying that again. I also tried the Spartak cake, which was good, but the honey cake stole the show for me. I couldn't decide on one of the mousse cakes because they all looked amazing, so I asked the employee behind the counter to pick her favorite. She recommended the mango mousse cake, and she was right--it was delicious. The white chocolate shell gives way to a light, tangy mango mousse with actual pieces of mango inside. It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The only downside is the price. The mousse cakes are roughly palm-sized and around $10 each. While they were very good, I finished mine in one sitting, whereas the honey cake and Spartak lasted me much longer and cost less. Overall, I absolutely recommend this market. The food, bakery, and hot deli are excellent, and I'll definitely keep coming back. My only advice is simple: avoid Saturday afternoons if you can. You'll probably enjoy the experience a whole lot more.
