I do not say this lightly, usually use the original Joe's Pizza on Carmine as a benchmark for quality in a New York slice, but both times the pizza I had at Jonny's has been an amazing experience.. although the slice prices have creeped! First, I normally just order plain cheese pizza in order to compare a pizzeria's product to all others. As a whole, I like it simple most times, occasionally opting for a Margherita or Grandma's slice... both with fresh basil. On rare occasions, I'll order a plain Sicilian. Taking a foodie friend from out-of-town on a tasting tour of the city, I returned to Jonny's Vodka slice! Second, Jonny's crust was thin and crispy similar to the best New York slices, but with a noticeable difference. The crust and flavor reminded me of a fine French bread with an ever so light chew that kept the slice together when folded. Third, be advised that you might find more that adequate sauce on the Vodka slice that when you fold it may spill out. And you won't want to lose any of that sauce! I anticipate returning by in the future when in the neighborhood, including taking my pizza-loving visitors to try out Jonny's.
Literally the best pizza in NYC. This beats Joes any day. Their slices are just incredible. I can't believe this place hasn't blown up. While the location is small and there's no seating, there's tables to enjoy your slice at while standing. Service is good and fast.
Was just waking by and had to grab a slice! Service was fast and there were some standing table to eat. Got the vodka pep. Everything was high quality and were very tasty. But the pizza crust stood out to me. Nice and crispy with a nice chew. Definitely will be back!
This week I visited Jonny's for the second time, the first being around a year ago. It's a nice slice, great, fresh and crisp crust. I added jalapeños and was somewhat disappointed that they were uncooked, but maybe I had the wrong expectation. My friend got the pepperoni slide with vodka sauce and loved it. Service is nice and quick. There's a decent amount of standing room inside.
Pretty decent slice on the corner of Orchard Street and Stanton. The crust is thin but also just a little chewy (which i like. ) I felt the sauce had a bit of a spicy taste too (but not too much.) Also, you can ask them to grate fresh Parmesan on your slice at no extra cost. I think you can ask for a hot honey drizzle too , though i didn't get that . Unfortunately there are no seats in here so that's the only drawback. But it's probably the best slice in this immediate area if you happen to be nearby . Tasty pizza.
Pretty good pizza, nothing incredibly unique about it though. Would say it's a solid New York slice, no crazy line, fast service. Personally wouldn't get the mushroom slice again but would try some of the other toppings.

I also really appreciated how much pepperoni they actually put on their slices. Pretty decent prices too. I'd definitely recommend to anyone and everyone!
Wow!! I can be very picky with my pizza, especially living in a city with endless by-the-slice options, but anytime I'm in the area, I'll definitely be grabbing a slice at Jonny's. The pepperoni slice with added burrata is incredible. My group went back for a second slice because it was that good. It's a quick, casual spot with standing tables, perfect for grabbing a slice on the go. Someone in my group also highly recommended the pesto slice, so that's next on my list. I'll absolutely be back. Favorite slice in the city so far!
Very ok quick slice in LES. They're located on a good corner of real estate where other businesses have tried and shuttered. I think I came in on a weeknight evening either right before Christmas or right after Christmas so the streets were only filled with local college-aged folks with no jackets waiting in line for Hair of the Dog or buying cigarettes across the street and then waiting in line for Hair of the Dog. Unfortunately the only choices at the moment were plain cheese or pepperoni slices so I can't speak on the vodka sauce. Overall, very decent tasting cheese slice. Tomato sauce was plain and bright, didn't need anything extra to it. The cheese was perfectly salty but both could've used a lighter hand, as the cheese slid off in rafts on certain bites. Crust was also lovely tasting, the cookery was great, it just needed to be thrown a tad larger to achieve a thinner rim. Jonny, call me when you throw your next thin plain pie. There's a void in my soul where Sauce on Rivington used to be.

I went here around 5pm and there were people in and out. They have a few small tables inside but really it's an eat quick and go kind of place. I opted for the pepperoni with burrata. The dough of the crust was stale and had an off taste. The burrata was really bad. It was a bit warm and melted and had a sour cream type of texture. The burrata added no value to the pizza either. Overall, a let down. For New York, it was a below average slice of pizza. Perhaps I caught them on an off day but the pizza wasn't very good. Even added red pepper flakes and oregano couldn't salvage the slice.
Everything you love about a classic NY slice: thin, crispy, and cheesy. The ingredients are top tier and Jonny's definitely knows how to make a great slice. Their vodka sauce is made fresh in-house. They have Persian ice cream sandwich's over the weekend and some fresh barbari (Persian bread) on Friday's and Saturday's!! Would love to come back and try those along with all the other slices. BTW you can get any slice "Jonny's way" and they'll add hot honey, parm and something else I can't remember.

Food: This is a small pizza shop that serves slices, whole pies, and a turkey sandwich. The pizza is excellent here! We tried the plain slice and the vodka pepperoni. Both were delicious, and the crust was excellent. You can add on pesto, hot honey, burrata, or chili oil for a small additional cost. This is one of my new favorite pizza spots in NYC now. Service: Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Ambiance: There are a few high-top tables around the shop for eating but no seats. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this place! read more

4.5/5 Vodka Pepperoni Slice- super thin crispy crust, thin layer of sauce and cheese. Would consider adding hot honey + burrata next time. I think in the realm of vodka slices, Mama's Too would edge out this slice for me personally. Went around 7pm on a Friday with no wait! Would love to try one of their special slices. read more

Love this place. Love that they donated pizza to help the homeless, which says a lot about the owner and management. As pizza goes, theirs is awesome, delicious and offered in all varieties. I can get very picky about my pizza, but Jonny's gets it right. read more

This pizza was real good after drinking the rubbing alcohol at Pianos (iykyk). They have a very organized system with a doorman. Service inside is very friendly and the pizza is very delicious and super filling. It's a little on the pricey side, but I was definitely satisfied. read more

The cheese slice was nothing to write home about, but the vodka slice hit the spot, maybe in part due to the copious amounts of grated Parmesan. Dough good, service fine, not cheap but kind of inside the expected pocket for the area. The 'ambiance' is more bright-lights slaughterhouse than fine dining, but good enough for a late night slice. read more

Thinly cut slices that are not too much. Great example of NY Pizza. Very fast service. People come into hang out and talk. One of the best pizza in East Village. Would recommend to anyone who is visiting EV for the first time. read more
One of the best NYC pizza slices in the city, honestly! It's fresh out of the oven and they add basil and a sprinkle of cheese on top. I got the pepperoni and you 100% need to add the hot honey drizzle - it's a game changer! This spot is a little out of the way in LES but I'm itching to go back. I really hope they open more locations! read more
Very good slice. One of the better slices I have had in Manhattan in many years. Good, crisp crust with a nice crunch around the edge. Expertly baked. Sauce is a little on the sweet side. The cheese and overall taste is very good. All in all, a great option for a slice any time you are in the area. Very enjoyable. read more

This pizza is delicious. I'm not sure why it isn't as popular as some other famous local pizza places but it should definitely get more recognition. I had the regular slice with pepperoni plus Johnny's way on top plus a vodka pepperoni slice. Highly recommended. Service could be slow if there is a lot of people but it's worth the wait. The place is not a sit down place but there are standing tables to eat at if you choose. I'd try to get a fresh pie next time so I will be back. read more

one of the best cheese slices ive had ($4:50)! super light but crunchy, perfect burnt crust, great sauce and the perfect amount of cheese! This is the typa pizza I envisioned in the tmnt shows/movies lol. In one of the busier areas (lower east side) but most definitely worth the visit if you're in the area. Some small stand up tables to eat at and is definitely gives one of those classic nyc pizza joints with the fast grab & go ambiance. Grabbing a pie next time I'm here read more
The lower east side isn't typically a place you would think of when it comes to good pizza, but Jonny's is it. They only have regular, pepperoni and vodka pep by the slice but the quality is excellent. A little pricy, but 100% worth it. My favorite is the vodka pep, Jonny's way (with freshly grated parm, hot honey and burrata.) Inside is always a little hectic, but I really appreciate how the staff is always able to handle the volume of customers they get at times, including Halloween night. read more

I'm still dreaming of Jonny's Pizza since the day I got it! I got the white mushroom slice and the pepperoni, both the Jonny's way of course! Jonny's way includes hot honey and burrata, which was insanely delicious!! It was my first time having that combination on top of pizza and I do not think I'd ever be able to have pizza without it now! The bread was crispy and perfect. Service was fast. The space inside is a little small so it's more-so for takeout but there is some room to stand around to eat. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend to try at least once if you're in NYC. read more

EASILY one of my favorite pizza places in NYC. Easily. Welcome to the comeptitive pizza scene, jonny's, you're doing amazing and keep it up! There's a commitment to fresh ingredients here. Even though this is in the LES and open late feeding plenty of drunk people pizza, make no mistake - the pizza here is super high quality and stands on its own. The fresh basil (emphasis on fresh bc it is so fragrant) and shavings of parmesan take it to the next level. The crust has a perfect crunch before giving way to a softer, chewier interior with a stretchy cheese (on my margherita) and that sweet, savory tomato sauce really comes through. The toppings to crust ratio is well portioned. It's giving every texture in an excellent ratio and flavors coming from every single component, nothing is missed. Can't wait for my next slice here! read more
This may be one of my favorite dollar pizza places in NYC. I was introduced to this place after a yelp event but find myself coming here on a regular basis for more pizza. The line can be quite a bit large but I find myself coming here on Weekdays near opening time and on weekend afternoons and its not too bad at all. The pizzas are out of the heater within 5 minutes and when combined with hot honey is absolutely fantastic. Crispy and delicate crust. 2 slices can be filling. I want to try the added burrata at some point. There is plenty of sauce on the vodka and cheese pizzas, but the vodka with hot honey is my favorite slice in NYC. There are also mexican cokes in the fridge which are a unique and nice side to the pizzas. There is one small standing table where 4-5 people can gather around. There is also a small shelf by the window where people can line up to eat indoors. This pizza imo should be eaten fresh and doesn't hit the same when you wait too long. There is only one shaker for crushed peppers (and one shaker for some other other herbs), so keep that mind. It is slightly more expensive than a typical dollar nyc slice but will be coming back. Do recommend highly. read more

Amazing vodka slice! Love how they use all natural ingredients and top it off with fresh parm. The downside is to really enjoy it you have to add the burrata and hot honey and all the toppings quickly add up (cost wise). The regular cheese was just ok- a little overdone in the oven. Be prepared to wait a little bit since the slices are made to order and it's quite popular. read more
