Wonderful experience in store. The sales associate on the floor today, Debbie was truly so great as she guided us through some new products and scents. She was really knowledgeable about the scent profiles and helped us choose between shower gels and lotions. She made sure to stock us up with samples and we even received an in-store gift that wasn't a listed promotion online when I checked earlier today. Of course L'Occitane is known for their high quality products, but I must commend the excellent customer service as it seems rarer and rarer these days. This absolutely beats shopping online, getting to smell and sample everything in store is a must. The recycling program is also a huge plus! read more

This store sucks, sales lady dumps u information that's not asks. Treated customer as if ignorant of the product. Communicated like the product I'm exchanging is fake. Open the product and not return it as it was packaged noted that she can't over ride her boss that needs to see the product itself. Why open the package if you know that you can't return it how it was package and talk about fake products. Ridiculous Divine cream was purchased yesterday for Mother's Day gift and just need to be exchange with different line. Lousy customer service. Sales ladies demeanor is very intrusive. read more

My friend and I have already been in this store 3 times this year, and made purchases all 3 times. My best friend loves their products. So after we do lunch we like to go in L'Occitane. We always get the same saleswoman "Lizeth." She's Amazing!! I don't know if she's the manager or not. But she should be. Because she's super nice, very knowledgable about the products and helpful. I was looking for a special little holiday gift for the Facilities woman who works in my office building. I often see her in the restroom so I know she's using her hands all day long. She is the sweetest and I really wanted something nice and nourishing for her. I've been in this location a ton of times and like many of their products (shea butter lotions and creams, cuticle oil, almond line etc.) however I haven't purchased them for myself in the past. I found the cutest little holiday package - Shea Butter Hands and Kisses with Shea Butter Cream and Shea Butter Ultra Rich Lip Balm. The younger sales girl was super helpful and packaged the gift up so sweetly for it's recipient. Very happy with the product and service (I of course tried both before purchasing). I'd recommend this store for a lovely little gift if you are looking for something, or sweet little stocking stuffers. read more

I love L'occitane products and usually order my products online. I happened to stop by this location and was interested in trying their Almond oils. Amy greeted me immediately and took her time to demonstrate each product! She was extremely informative and really gave me such a great in store experience! I was extremely impressed with her product knowledge and her ability to really describe the fragrances and ingredients in each product, she is truly a specialist! I loved my chat with her and I will now shop in store for that very reason! Let me first say that I LOVE L'Occitane products. I had purchased MANY gifts for friends for Christmas at this store and the sales people were very helpful and pleasant to me at THAT time. However, I went in today (1/3/18 at around noon) to exchange a gift I received for another scent and was rudely told by an older heavyset woman that the item was now on sale and therefore I could not do anything. I believe this was the manager as when I was there last month the same women that was advising the sales girl to sell me more items (which I happily obliged). I recommend that in the future speak sales people should speak to their loyal customers in a more polite and professional manner. Happy New Year to you too... read more

One bad employee really can ruin the entire shopping experience in a store, and that was certainly my experience at this L'occitane location. I love L'occitane products and shop at the Century City and Beverly Center location often but on Sunday I happened to be in the Sherman Oaks area. This one woman with light blonde hair who is very nice with good service starts helping me and I am asking her about some promotions for free gift with purchases that I saw online that also said it was available in store and she is telling me about them and this Very heavyset woman with a very bad attitude who is presumably the manager of this location swings open the door of her office behind the register and barks at me that I cannot have the promotion without presenting the online print out or mailer and then starts questioning if I even get the mailer because if not I am not entitled to the promotion. I tell her yes I get the mailer and also have the various promotions listed on my phone directly from email/website with the discount code for free gift with purchase clearly listed. She starts arguing with me and I say I am just going to look around, thanks. I look around more and the nicer sales person tried to show me another promotion for a small sample of a serum if you purchase a face cream to which I was interested in, and I say ok, and start choosing the cream I want, and ask her to help me choose between a couple different types, then the heavyset woman comes over and says that I cannot have this deluxe sample with purchase of a face cream if I do the other promotion, and I tell her I am willing to do it on a separate transaction, and she tells me no, because then I would be getting 2 promotions and that she would get flagged from corporate because they are not allowed to do that. I then ask her about another promotion I saw online for a small kit that you get for free if you spend over a certain amount, I think it was 80 dollars, and she says no that is only available online even though I clearly see them sitting in the store. I tell her that I am used to L'occitane always honoring current promotions and that usually the people are happy to share new samples and products with people who are currently spending a bunch of money in the store and she says that I should come back over Christmas or Thanksgiving if I want special promotions because during the rest of the year they really don't do many promotions which I know is not true. At that point I felt like she was really trying to push me out of the store and I was feeling very uncomfortable so I told her I would buy items from another store where they are nicer and that she has poor customer service. Has anyone else encountered this heavyset manager with dirty blonde/light brown hair and a bad attitude making them feel uncomfortable and basically treating them like a criminal for asking to take part in the promotions? read more

Saw offer online around 12:30 PM today online indicating 4 hand creams if you spend $50 dollars. I spend over $70 dollars and this location would not give me the offer without an email or proof on their website. She said they are only given a limited amount to give out. Spent 15 minutes looking while the girl had a list of the offers including a 1x2 postcard of the exact offer i came in for. Since the website refreshed i could. It locate the ad and the store did not give me the offer. Really poor customer service. read more

This place gets 3 stars because: 1) I LOVE their products. It's all organic and it's way better quality than other hair brands found at sephora or Ulta. 2) there was a rude saleswoman that totally ruined my experience. I love L'occitane products over a whole other high end products. So it's always pleasant when the sales associates are nice etc in your favorite stores. But this lady I don't know her name, but it was on a Tuesday around 4pm, felt like she had an attitude right from the begining, maybe because I had a return? She acted as if was I was doing was wrong so her attitude was justifiable. She took a loong time in the register and after like six min she finished. The experience Left me with a bitter taste. Too bad one my fav cosmetics store near my area is "guarded" by this lady. And I suspect is the same lady everybody in the reviews seem to be mentioning. ( The one in the picture). I love L'Occitane products. And this Sherman Oaks' store is closer to my house, but I go to their Glendale location (where I did not have any problems). I've been at this Sherman Oaks location once, and did not like the rude sales lady. However this weekend, I did not have time to go to their Glendale location - to buy a gift for my friend and use my voucher for free hand cream. I went with my kids. The sales associate was the same one from the past. She was rude again, even my two kids noticed it. I think her name was Armine. She wasn't helpful in choosing the right products, and most of all did not honor my free hand cream voucher. She kept insisting that I printed the wrong one. So I showed her the email (from L'Occitane) from my smartphone. Both of us even read the fine prints at the bottom of the email. Still, she did not honor it. I was so upset and decided not to buy anything from this lady. I argued with her and asked what other proof does she need. I knew I was right in following the instructions from the L'Occitane's web site, and did nothing wrong. And the sales lady still insisted that I printed the wrong one (even after showing her the email from my smartphone). At the end, she just gave me my free hand cream. No thank you or anything. I just left .... thinking of writing this review, and maybe to L'Occitane's costumer service! read more

It's a small location but they have the basics and the sales associate is nice and knowledgable. It's not a "store" so they don't have all the perks. But if you need your basic lotion because you are out (like I did) , quick stop and you are replenished. read more
