Well coated on top & bottom with the seasoning of choice (tried the onion and the everything). Lightly crispy/crunchy on the outside, with a shell that cracks even before toasting. Fluffy/chewy on the inside. Once toasted, that wonderful almost blackened char around the edges was perfect. Up there with Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee Company for best bagels in the city. Whenever I wake up super early, I come here to get the bagels around 7am, still-warm and fresh. I'm not sure what's going on, but the service and quality has really gone down. I ordered the ultimate BLT hero sandwich. After waiting 35 minutes with 5 people getting their orders before me, I finally was given my order. The hero sandwich didn't have any lettuce, tomato, or fillings. It barely had any ham or bacon. I've never in my life received such a bad BLT in my life from anywhere. I'm not sure how you make a bacon, lettuce, tomato without the lettuce or tomato. If they were rushed, then I would understand. But they took 35 minutes to make a $22 hero sandwich with nothing inside. I hope they make their service and quality better. It's a shame. read more

I've been coming here for a couple years and I'm not stopping any time soon. This is a great grab and go spot for bagels, sandwiches, coffee. They do get busy but their service is really quick, I've never had to wait super long. The bagel options are displayed behind the cashier stand and they have a list of cream cheese as well. They also have their sandwich menus on the walls. Their bagels are large, fluffy, and delicious. My favorites are the everything bagel and cinnamon raisin. Their cream cheese are whipped, fluffy, soft, and have a perfect amount of sweetness (I only get sweet ones, haven't tried their savory ones but I've heard good things from others!). I love getting strawberry, blueberry, or apple cinnamon. My boyfriend really likes the walnut raisin cream cheese. Definitely try if you're in the area visiting DUMBO! read more

I always get the gluten-free everything bagel with turkey sausage and scrambled eggs with avocado and it is delicious and when my parents were visiting they wanted to go every day. You order, they give you your food, then you pay. It's not a very big space so if there a lot of people in there waiting I would imagine it would be quite crowded. I got the sausage egg and cheese on a plain bagel and it was literally so good. The cheese was perfectly meaty and covered the sausage and egg. It was amazing. Very intimidating experience when you walk in as there's so many people standing around waiting for their food and the men at the front are yelling for the next order. It's amazing they can memorize a long order without writing it down, and you pay when the food is ready. The texture of the bagels are so good and chewy, but I've definitely had better New York bagel experiences. The slab on very little cream cheese for charging $5-6 per bagel. We stumbled upon this deli on accident and I'm glad we did. We had some great BEC bagels. The staff was helpful and friendly and quick. It's a small deli with no seating to its best for take away but they pack up the sandwiches so they stay warm. I would swing by again if I'm in the neighborhood. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but the bagel I purchased from there today has to be one of the worst bagels I have ever had. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. You would think okay it's a pretty common breakfast sandwich in New York what could go wrong. As someone who lives in the area it is the only bagel place around. The bagel had a fishy taste to it that made me feel sick while eating it. Every aspect of the sandwich had a fishy flavor. To include I am also pregnant so it just did not sit well and in addition smoked salmon is not safe while pregnant. Please beware of cross contamination of the food at this place especially if you have any allergies or medical concerns. read more

First bagel spot when coming to NY. MY FAV PLACE!! Truly THE first stop I have to do before I take anyone on a "NY Tour". Their lox bagel is scrumptious and ginormous (better be b/c its slightly expense) with delicious scallion cream cheese spreads, everything bagels, and garlic bagels. Love coming here early in the morning and grabbing this with some coffee from somewhere else (Time Out Market or Arabica, prefer the latter). If it's summer/spring, enjoy the rooftop of time out or the grass below the bridge, or since you're early, grab a seat where the IG bridge photo everyone takes.
