Ridiculously small Red curry carryout container on the left (and my drink container on the right)

Second time we've been here in the last 2 months. Once for dine-in and this evening for carry out. Food was ok but the portions were extra small. Unbelievable that the red curry container was so small and hardly had any protein in there. Sadly, time for us to find a new Thai place.

Ordered tofu and chicken satay. I was disappointed with the satay. Boring and hard. The tofu was soft but isn't appetizing. I am not getting this items again.

Takhrai Thai has my favorite drunken noodles in all of San Diego! It's a staple for me, but this time I was really excited to try some new dishes as well. The yellow curry and the sauce that came with the Tiger Cry steak were highlights for me. Both so savory with a nice kick of spice.

Gosh- What a great take out experience today! I ordered the green curry with chicken and the drunken noodles. The green curry was perfectly spiced, and it had grilled egg plant in it! Delicious! The bamboo shoots were great too- fabulous. The drunken noodles were addicting good- will definitely be back! Great service and I forgot to mention pricing was great too! Easy on your wallet but not on the pallet :)

The food was amazing of Duck and chicken pad Thai noodle and cream cheese wontons but just the lad nah was not good taste. It was less salt. Didn't like it at all. Service was great and Ambiance was beautiful and clean.

The ambiance and food is outstanding! This is always my go to for Thai food no matter where I am. All the guests I've brought here have returned as well. Parking and location is also a plus, in addition to all the amazing savory dishes, the sweet sticky rice with mango is a satisfying dessert. Stop by and enjoy this gem. You won't be disappointed!

Came here around 7:30pm on a Sunday night and it was DEAD EMPTY. The staff honestly looked at us like we were crazy when we asked to eat in. It was just 2 of us the entire time. We got some cream cheese wontons and chicken pad Thai. Overall, the food was the highlight. Very flavorful but definitely overpriced. We wanted some peanut sauce and they charged us $1 for the tiniest cup ever! The inside looks like the typical Thai restaurant you would expect and is surely big enough for a lot of people Save yourself the trip and just order takeout, it's awkward inside...

I tried their shrimp pad thai. So good

One of the best pad thai. Service was fast. The ambience was really Thai, very nice and clean

Came here for a late lunch. Ordered the boat noodle. Service was okay, nothing good or bad about it. The other 2 in my group Ordered curry tofu and sweat sour chicken. Those were decent, but the boat noodle is way off. Tasted like soy sauce soup. Lacked flavor. The decor is typical of many Thai restaurants. It has outside seating.

Pailin Thai is in a shopping center that absolutely gets bonkers during busy hours, mostly because of the obnoxiously skinny parking spaces and the incredibly large cars trying to cram their way into them. We ordered our lunchtime meal online, taking advantage of their lunch combo specials. I got the See-Eyew Noodles with chicken ($13.95) and my husband got the Spicy Noodles with pork ($13.95). Because these were the lunch combos, each meal also came with a small serving of the soup of the day, a small salad, an egg roll and a fried wonton. The menu said you're also supposed to get steamed rice, but we did not. I'd rank the items in my lunch combo this way: the soup (not sure what kind it was, but it was coconutty and citrusy and there wasn't enough of it, in my opinion); the fried wonton; the salad; the noodles; the egg roll. Not that I didn't enjoy the noodles, they were just not the best I've had (and those who know me know that Pad See Ew noodles are my go-to Thai entree.) These noodles were lighter - in color and flavor - than I prefer, and too sticky to easily shove in my face with a plastic fork. The flavor was okay, if a little lacking. My husband's meal was supposed to be spicy noodles, but the container was labeled "Drunken Noodles", which I'm pretty sure is a different dish. But, he ate it all up and said he enjoyed everything about it. Though he did say the serving size was smaller than expected (I reminded him it was a lunch combo, not a full entree, and for what we paid, it was a good deal. I think he agreed haha.) I'd be willing to give them another try, because I love Thai meals and we seem to be lacking in good Thai restaurants anymore.

Wonton soup was very good and the Seafood Tofu hot pot had a ton of seafood. It's a small place so only limited seating, and our server was present the entire lunch. The food came fairly quickly and the staff member was friendly and attentive. You can ask for less oil and less salt if you'd like to, and they'll do it for you. Parking is easy out front and after dinner you can go next door for ice cream or boba. ----TL;DR---- Pros: very good food, friendly staff, big menu of options, easy parking Cons: you might find some dishes a little oily (beef roll, which is great!) but you can ask for less oil Bottom Line: a solid choice for Chinese food in this area. This was my first experience at Aaharn56 Thai Cuisine and I was thoroughly impressed with my dinner here. I will definitely recommend it to others. Aaharn56 Thai Cuisine is a very traditional Thai restaurant that has a wide variety traditional options on their menu and they even have a happy hour menu as well. I was thoroughly impressed with the array of soups, noodles, curry, and seafood that they had available. There's plenty of inside seating, and although the tables appeared close together, it's still felt private enough with the two sections of seating. Service was exemplary, superfast and very friendly. I appreciate it our waitress explaining the orders in detail and being understanding of our heat tolerance in relation to the food we were ordering. I started with the Tom Kha soup at level 4 heat. It was flawless with the flavors & great in a cup. We then had the prawn dumplings, and those were extremely flavorful, and I love the sauce that came with it. I also enjoyed my yellow curry with vegetables at a level five heat, and even their naan was delicious. Even with a glass of wine and a Thai tea, we ordered one more dish with White Lotus and the bill came out to under $85. If you are in the area, I highly recommend Aaharn56 Thai Cuisine, especially if you can make the happy hour with a $5 menu and $5 drinks. You may want to call in advance, because it gets crowded in the evening.

This is marinated smoke pork ribs and served with a sriracha hot sauce. This was a bit dry unfortunately, so the sauce came in handy when we were munching on it. It also tastes pretty good dipped in curry. The next item we got was the lamb hunter. This is a grilled lamb chop with panang curry sauce, mixed salad with fuji apple and olive oil. The lamb was tender and grilled just right. I adored the panang curry - it was both creamy and flavorful! I could probably drink it by itself haha. The salad was a nice addition too. This is also served with a bowl of white rice, so that really completed the meal. The last item we ordered was a dessert item - Mango Sticky Rice. The mango was ripe and the rice was pandan flavored. The coconut milk was fresh and it brought everything together. I am a huge fan of mango sticky rice and AAHARN does a great job in making it. We picked up our takeout order in a timely manner and the server was really kind. She got our order and asked if we wanted any other serving items like utensils and plates. This came in handy since we ate at a picnic table. The first time we went, we ate at the restaurant and there was a nice calm ambiance to the place. Great spot if you have a smaller group or even for families! I would recommend AAHARN if you are looking for a Thai restaurant in San Diego. I also would recommend the Massaman Lamb Shank and Naan. We ordered this last time and it was divine. It is often out of stock (sold out since it is so good!), so make sure to call in advanced to see if they have it!
