    Lunch specials menu

Had lunch here for the first time. They have lunch specials that include a small salad & an egg roll. We tried the Khee Mao Noodle plate (drunken noodles) & the crab fried rice. We enjoyed both dishes. I couldn't decide on pad Thai noodles or drunken noodles. I was really happy with the drunken noodles. Atmosphere here is very laid back and they do have outdoor seating. It wasn't very hot out yet so was okay sitting outdoors. I'd come back to try something different. Looks like a lot of locals cone regularly.

Nice little restaurant in the Sprouts shopping plaza. It was empty for lunch on a Friday when we were there. We sat outside on their patio. Service was very friendly and nice. It was a little cold so they turned on the patio heater for us. We ordered their lunch specials. I think the portions were good considering that their prices were still affordable.

Looking for a place to eat in Poway after Pickleball and we came upon this restaurant. I ordered the Thai Crab Fried Rice and it was tasty. I had level three spice recommended by the server. I think it was just right for me. My friend had the lunch special Pad Thai, but didn't feel like it was enough to satisfy her. She was still quite hungry. They didn't have the crab fried rice as a lunch option so the entrée was enough for me. The service was nice and friendly. A server recommended. We have a seat in the outdoor patio because it was cooler than indoors. It was a warm day in Poway, but there was a breeze and the patio recommendation was a good one. I'm not sure I would come back again, but no real complaints on my end.

Came here for lunch on a hot, sunny Thursday. Outdoor seating highly recommended. Well-shaded. Cool breeze (can't guarantee the breeze is a regular occurrence!). Our server was attentive. Checked in with us to see how everything was. It was good. We ordered from the lunch special menu, so everything comes with a small salad and one little roll. I had 3 shrimp in my curry. Would've been nice to have one or two more to balance with the veggies. Good flavor. Rice felt a little dry/old. My Thai Iced Tea was very refreshing. Sweet, but not too much. Another customer had mango and sticky rice that looked delicious, but I was too full to try it...just enjoyed looking at it. Give this place a try!

Does this place allow smoking in their outside seating area? I have really bad allergies to second hand smoke but prefer eating outside

No smoking at patio. There are also sign no smoking around the building, so you should be fine.

Beef Noodle Soup (4/5) - the Soup and Beef were Meh, I've had better, but the noodles were fresh which was nice. Pork Soup Dumpling (4/5) - decent soup dumplings, the soup flavor was good, but wish there was more soup within each dumpling. But overall flavor was succulent. Chongqing Chicken (4/5) - def not a specialty, but tasty. I've def had better where the chicken was a bit more crispy and Wonton in Spicy Soup (5/5) - this was the standout dish, the spicy soup sauce was phenomenal and perfectly complemented the wontons. I'd def come back for this dish alone. Bonus - Chocolate Dumplings (5/5) - provided this as a free dessert, which TBH should be on the menu (if it isn't already), the chocolate flavor was so delicious and had the nice pork soup dumpling type skin. Service was very attentive as well - def better than your typical 'chinese' style service of quick/brusque servie - for sure. They repeatedly checked water/tea refills. Overall 4.5/5

Their pig shaped custard buns are also quite cute and fun for dessert! The menu is similar to that of Din Tai Fung, but at a much cheaper price, and their food quality is top tier. Would definitely recommend checking it out!

The orange chicken was the standout--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. My search for the best orange chicken in San Diego might be over. The garlic shrimp with jalapeños had nice flavor, but the shrimp fell short. The light batter would've worked well for a salt-and-pepper dish, but with the sauce, it became pasty. As for the chicken with cashews and the kung pao chicken, both dishes tasted very similar due to the same brown sauce, which unfortunately lacked depth and flavor. Will definitely go back to try other lunch special dishes here.

My visit to Obrien's Boulangerie Bakery was exactly that. I want to give a special shoutout to Café Miguel, the bartender, who is developing some truly delicious drinks that pair beautifully with the equally delicious food. You can tell he takes pride in what he creates, and it makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable. Brenda, the manager of all managers, deserves a tremendous amount of praise. She makes it her mission to ensure every customer is taken care of, and you can genuinely feel that she cares. Her attention to people and her commitment to making sure everyone has a great experience really stood out to me. And Javon and Isaiah, both amazing servers, were fantastic. The entire waitstaff carries with them a sense of duty to the customer that I honestly haven't seen in a long time. I may have missed a few names, but I want to make it clear that every single person who helped me made me feel special and valued. I am genuinely grateful for the kindness, warmth, and care shown to me by the entire team. And yes... the food was delicious too!! Thank you to everyone at Obrien's Boulangerie Bakery for reminding me what exceptional hospitality looks and feels like. You made my experience memorable, and I appreciate every one of you.

We ordered the Kimchi & Bacon Fried Rice, a Poke Salmon Bento Box, a Philadelphia Roll, and a Dragon Roll. The fried rice was fantastic, but the kimchi was easily my favorite part. The Philadelphia Roll confirmed that I'm definitely a salmon fan, and the Dragon Roll introduced me to eel... which turns out I also really like. Thai Ladle in Poway is tucked into a strip mall that's currently under some parking lot construction, which makes finding a spot a bit tricky. With all the nearby kid activities( like dance studios, kiddie gyms, and such) parking probably depends a lot on the time of day. Inside, the restaurant is small and appears clean, and the atmosphere is pleasant enough. The biggest disappointment is that they don't have a liquor license. No beer, wine, or sake, which would have totally turned me away if I figured it out a little faster. What can I say, a girl needs a Chardonnay sometimes. The food itself was good & reasonably priced ,, but not especially memorable. Basically, solid Thai food, but nothing that stands out. Service was friendly, but very slow. Like, very, very slow. We had to flag our server down each time we needed anything, and since we were the only customers, it was hard to understand why. That said, she was very nice and welcoming. One more downside: flies. The door wasn't propped open, yet there werea few of them buzzing around that we ended up covering our dishes with napkins toward the end of the meal.
