(Left to Right) Strawberry Match and Salted Cloud
    Kosneath V.

I had a great experience at LA Bean. When I went on a Saturday afternoon, there was no line and no crowd, which made the visit super quick and relaxing. The drinks were delicious--definitely the highlight. The coffee itself is very strong, which I personally enjoyed, and the flavors were well-balanced. I tried both the salted cloud and the matcha strawberry latte, and both looked amazing and tasted just as good. One thing to note: if you're particular about sweetness levels, the ordering kiosk doesn't let you adjust it. I ended up ordering with the cashier instead so I could customize my drink. Overall, a solid spot for quality drinks, especially if you like strong coffee. I'd come back again!

This is such a cute cafe! I couldn't pick from their menu so I got one coffee drink and a matcha drink. I got the traditional Vietnamese coffee and the mango matcha latte. Both drinks were not bad, but I feel like they just need that oomph! I wouldn't rule it out as an option if I'm in the area. It's a good place for hanging out or studying or maybe even working!

Returning after 6 months and so happy to see this place thriving- both in their offerings and the foot traffic. It was very busy on a Saturday morning. Got the warm Ube matcha. It was delicious. Not too sweet and has good blend of both Ube and matcha. We also had the velvet brûlée- it was so good. Great taste of coffee and just enough crème brûlée making the drink creamy with a hint of sweetness. Highly recommended this drink. The pork banh mi was also a highlight for me. It was very tasty! I would come here for lunch tasty. It was a pleasant surprise since I didn't expect a beverage place would have super tasty banh mi. It was overall a satisfying (satiating) visit. My recommendation to the owner is to provide a little description of the drink as I can't imagine the staff having to answer to the many questions of "what's a velvet brûlée", or "brew-Bea" and they'd rather focus on crafting each drink. ;) also labeling the flavor of the various fun rice crispies would be helpful.

I came on a Monday for an afternoon snack. The staff was friendly and helpful in answering my questions. Too bad they didn't have the Croc waffle at the time. I had the pistachio luxe and the grilled pork Banh Mi. There were visible pistachios in the drink, which I greatly appreciated. The pork Banh Mi was sweet and satisfying. The store was decorated super cute, and it was a great place for me to sit down and work for a little bit since they also provided free Wi-Fi. Though the Wi-Fi didn't seem to allow access to all sites (such as Yelp), I was still able to get some work done. Overall, it's a great spot to grab some snacks and get work done. Hopefully next time I come back, the Croc waffle will be available. Parking was easy since there was a parking lot.

    Green tea w boba

Top tier drinks, wonderful service, and super pretty interior decor puts this tea shop in my top 3 favs in the area. Love the adorable 4 month old husky puppy named Dong who chills in the far corner by the windows. The bahn mi can sell out near the end of the day, so highly recommend going to get one for lunch with a pick-me-up drink! The grilled beef option had a nice balance of greens, mayo, jalapeno, and the bread was baked nice and crunchy. It def hit the spot! The green tea was very fragrant and the la bean cloud was also delicious! The boba is cooked well and the fruit drink (lychee green tea) is very floral and had a great base tea flavor. I aim to try everything on the menu and it's always a nice bonus to see a cute dog. I'd come here very week to pet Dong and also grab a sandwich + drink!

What a cute cafe! Delicious (and quite reasonably priced) bahn mi sandwiches in perfectly crunchy rolls. Also tried the pistachio luxe on the server's recommendation- creamy, nutty, and delicious. The ambiance was a pop of spring with vibrant colors - so cheerful and unexpected - perfect pick me up on a dreary Seattle day. Service was very friendly. Will come again!

Tried this place out for the first time and it did not disappoint! The drinks are very characteristic of Vietnamese drinks as they are on the sweeter and thicker side. I got the milk tea (with sea salt foam, grass jelly and boba). It is definitely quite sweet and there is unfortunately no way to adjust sweetness. Luckily I love sweet stuff though, so I enjoyed it. The sea salt foam is really good and the flavor is strong, one of the best/most flavorful ones I've had. Boba is also cooked well and is chewy. It's a thick drink and is sizable. The young coconut matcha was also good, it's very coconut-y and thick. There definitely is a good amount of ice though so you might have to be a bit patient in waiting for that to melt... I would say the coconut flavor is a bit stronger than the matcha, however we still enjoyed it! The store itself is cute and has great lighting! Would definitely be back if craving a sweet dessert drink!

LA bean was very good. I got their young coconut matcha and the coconut water was very sweet. I really like the matcha foam where it was slightly bitter which balances the coconut water. I would love to come back and try more of their drinks. Staff were very friendly and I love the cafe it's so cute

    Chicken Banh Mi w/o butter

I mainly went in to check out the Crocs waffle for my kiddo, but of course I couldn't resist trying their bánh mì too--so I got the chicken, no butter. I prefer a sweet, tangy bánh mì, and butter or that creamy sauce kind of throws me off, so I skipped it. Honestly, I'd rather have a Sriracha option. The Crocs waffle took about 15 minutes, which they told me when I ordered. I crisped it up again at home to serve it to my son, who was so excited to eat a waffle shaped like a shoe. It literally looked like his yellow Crocs, lol. Ahhhhhh... but then--he wouldn't even swallow his first bite. Even after dipping it in his favorite ube cream. So I tried it... and hmm. It honestly felt like it was missing something? Like... baking powder??? It was extremely dense, doughy, and very heavy. Almost like undercooked egg-flour batter. The ube cream was great, but not enough to save that failed waffle. We were expecting a fluffy, airy, pillowy waffle with a light crisp on the outside... but oh, well. The bánh mì, on the other hand, was actually good. I just wish the bread had been gutted more--it was a bit too heavy. I noticed most people were getting boba drinks, so I guess I ordered all the non-signature items. Ambiance was cute though... lots of artificial flowers?!

    Velvet brulee coffee

This is by far the tastiest coffee I've had. I saw a video of the velvet brulee on Instagram and needed it immediately. The small parking lot was filled on a weekday around lunch time so I parked in the lot by Amazon Fresh and walked across. My coffee came out fast and it tasted delicious. My only wish is that they would serve the Vietnamese coffee with less caffeine as an option. Although the drink is beyond delicious I could barely drink half. Vietnamese coffee makes me very jittery. I've recommended this place to friends and they also loved the velvet brulee. I plan to bring my sisters when they visit too. Hopefully the lower caffeine coffee is a viable offering soon, if so I'll be coming back several times a week. I definitely want to try one of their Croc waffles they look so cute!

    Ube Love Potion
    Joe H.

I had someone pick this up for me so this won't be a full review of the service or the ambiance of the store But I really like the Ube Love Potion. It reminded me of the OG Taro Milk Tea with tapioca from the late 90s. I will be back to try more drinks and food!

Service is great, but tbh I don't rock with their matcha, if anything it taste like jasmine green milk tea

I was around the area and wanted to get some coffee. I stumbled upon this place after hearing about it on IG. Parking is shared amongst with other businesses. Upon entering the cafe, it has a cozy vibe filled with cute floral decors. The menu had a lot of drink selection with pictures for reference. I decided to try the coco velvet latte while my friend got the pistachio latte. We both wanted to try their salted cream so we added that in as well. The worker brought our drinks to our table and instructed us to shake to mix. Overall, the drinks were okay. Coffee wasn't strong enough imo. We both like the flavors but thought Vietnamese coffee should be a bit stronger and less milky. I guess I should've ordered the one with double shots. This place is a cute cafe for hangouts and IG. But if you want your coffee stronger, I suggest ordering their sunrise sips drinks (rookie mistake). I think I will give their matcha a try next time whenever I'm nearby.

Parking ended up being a bit of a walk, which had me second-guessing the decision at first--but I'm glad I stuck with it. The moment I walked in, the space felt thoughtfully designed. The flow of the café is one of the best I've experienced--open, comfortable, and easy to navigate. As soon as the door opened, the barista greeted me right away. The counter is positioned close enough that you don't feel awkward hovering like in some cafés where the bar feels miles away. It immediately felt welcoming. I visited on a weekend during a slower period, but since the café sits right next to a college, I can imagine the line spilling out the door during peak hours. At quieter times though, the layout works well--there's enough space for a couple people to wait without crowding the entrance. I ordered a cortado and an almond croissant. The croissant came warmed, and the texture was spot on: fluffy, layered, and not overly greasy. The almond filling had a really nice balance--nutty with just enough sweetness and a hint of salt to round it out. I was told the pastries are made in-house, and it definitely shows. It tasted like something made with care. The cortado itself was solid--pretty classic, nothing overly fancy. One thoughtful touch I appreciated was that it came with sparkling water, which was great for cleansing the palate. The space itself is fairly spacious and works well if you want a quiet moment to sip your coffee. That said, most of the seating is high stools, so it doesn't really feel like the type of place to settle in and study for hours. Overall, I really enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and quality of the food. The one thing that caught me off guard was the price of the croissant at $6.50. It tasted great and I understand prices in this area tend to run higher, especially for house-made pastries--but it's a bit outside what I'd usually spend. So while I definitely think it's good, it might not become a regular stop for me simply due to location and budget. Still, a great find and a pleasant surprise during a routine coffee run.
