My friend and I visited LA Bean and had a good time here, drinking our teas and playing Chronology, one of the miscellaneous board games they have for patrons. LA Bean is a Vietnamese cafe in Factoria, selling teas, coffees and banh mis in a welcome setting. I was craving something with mango, so ordered the Mango Kiss tea, which consists of green tea, mango puree and mango pieces on top while my friend had a green tea with lychee. My mango drink was refreshing and delicious, with a ton of mango flavor. I could've easily ordered another one. I'd like to try the Vietnamese coffee with ube next time I visit for when I need more caffeine. There are a lot of different drinks to choose from here, so something for everyone here. Glad to have LA Bean in Factoria, which doesn't have too many boba spots around. Located in a small business strip, parking can be dicey with how small the lot is with the busy shops around, but it's nearby other businesses and walking distance to the Factoria shopping center. I'd come back.

YES YES YES!!!!! So so happy we decided to go try LA bean today. We have been missing Vietnamese style coffee ever since our last fav cafe moved away from the Eastside. ENTER LA BEAN FOR THE WIN!! Got to try their salted cloud and wow just an abundance of goodness and that special nutty coffee beans that are v delicious! Their breakfast sandwiches are also great but have to get them early because they sell out quick. Def give them a try when you're in bellevue!

We got 2 espresso/coffee based drinks and they were both good! I prefer things "not too sweet", so personally I would've liked it a little less sweet, but probably the perfect amount for a lot of people! If you want the stronger coffee flavor definitely go for the "sunrise" (double shot) options. I just didn't want too much caffeine! I've tried a fruit tea drink in the past and it was pretty good. I do tend to like fruit tea drinks more, but at this shop I prefer their coffee ones.

I had a great experience at LA Bean. When I went on a Saturday afternoon, there was no line and no crowd, which made the visit super quick and relaxing. The drinks were delicious--definitely the highlight. The coffee itself is very strong, which I personally enjoyed, and the flavors were well-balanced. I tried both the salted cloud and the matcha strawberry latte, and both looked amazing and tasted just as good. One thing to note: if you're particular about sweetness levels, the ordering kiosk doesn't let you adjust it. I ended up ordering with the cashier instead so I could customize my drink. Overall, a solid spot for quality drinks, especially if you like strong coffee. I'd come back again!

Cute cafe with a good amount of seating. Plenty of parking. The service was great. I tried the coconut matcha cloud and it was very refreshing. There were about 5 people ahead of me. I got a my drink pretty quick for it being busy. Next time I'll try a coffee and a sandwich!

This is such a cute cafe! I couldn't pick from their menu so I got one coffee drink and a matcha drink. I got the traditional Vietnamese coffee and the mango matcha latte. Both drinks were not bad, but I feel like they just need that oomph! I wouldn't rule it out as an option if I'm in the area. It's a good place for hanging out or studying or maybe even working!

Returning after 6 months and so happy to see this place thriving- both in their offerings and the foot traffic. It was very busy on a Saturday morning. Got the warm Ube matcha. It was delicious. Not too sweet and has good blend of both Ube and matcha. We also had the velvet brûlée- it was so good. Great taste of coffee and just enough crème brûlée making the drink creamy with a hint of sweetness. Highly recommended this drink. The pork banh mi was also a highlight for me. It was very tasty! I would come here for lunch tasty. It was a pleasant surprise since I didn't expect a beverage place would have super tasty banh mi. It was overall a satisfying (satiating) visit. My recommendation to the owner is to provide a little description of the drink as I can't imagine the staff having to answer to the many questions of "what's a velvet brûlée", or "brew-Bea" and they'd rather focus on crafting each drink. ;) also labeling the flavor of the various fun rice crispies would be helpful.

I came on a Monday for an afternoon snack. The staff was friendly and helpful in answering my questions. Too bad they didn't have the Croc waffle at the time. I had the pistachio luxe and the grilled pork Banh Mi. There were visible pistachios in the drink, which I greatly appreciated. The pork Banh Mi was sweet and satisfying. The store was decorated super cute, and it was a great place for me to sit down and work for a little bit since they also provided free Wi-Fi. Though the Wi-Fi didn't seem to allow access to all sites (such as Yelp), I was still able to get some work done. Overall, it's a great spot to grab some snacks and get work done. Hopefully next time I come back, the Croc waffle will be available. Parking was easy since there was a parking lot.

Top tier drinks, wonderful service, and super pretty interior decor puts this tea shop in my top 3 favs in the area. Love the adorable 4 month old husky puppy named Dong who chills in the far corner by the windows. The bahn mi can sell out near the end of the day, so highly recommend going to get one for lunch with a pick-me-up drink! The grilled beef option had a nice balance of greens, mayo, jalapeno, and the bread was baked nice and crunchy. It def hit the spot! The green tea was very fragrant and the la bean cloud was also delicious! The boba is cooked well and the fruit drink (lychee green tea) is very floral and had a great base tea flavor. I aim to try everything on the menu and it's always a nice bonus to see a cute dog. I'd come here very week to pet Dong and also grab a sandwich + drink!

Tried this place out for the first time and it did not disappoint! The drinks are very characteristic of Vietnamese drinks as they are on the sweeter and thicker side. I got the milk tea (with sea salt foam, grass jelly and boba). It is definitely quite sweet and there is unfortunately no way to adjust sweetness. Luckily I love sweet stuff though, so I enjoyed it. The sea salt foam is really good and the flavor is strong, one of the best/most flavorful ones I've had. Boba is also cooked well and is chewy. It's a thick drink and is sizable. The young coconut matcha was also good, it's very coconut-y and thick. There definitely is a good amount of ice though so you might have to be a bit patient in waiting for that to melt... I would say the coconut flavor is a bit stronger than the matcha, however we still enjoyed it! The store itself is cute and has great lighting! Would definitely be back if craving a sweet dessert drink!

What a cute cafe! Delicious (and quite reasonably priced) bahn mi sandwiches in perfectly crunchy rolls. Also tried the pistachio luxe on the server's recommendation- creamy, nutty, and delicious. The ambiance was a pop of spring with vibrant colors - so cheerful and unexpected - perfect pick me up on a dreary Seattle day. Service was very friendly. Will come again!

I had the Matcha Ube Latte served hot + Croissant sandwich with chicken. The Matcha UBE was ok for 2 reasons. The Matcha and UBE flavor was milder than I expected. More important, the drink was only warm and not hot. The Croissant sandwich was tasty. Not something that I would come specifically to this store for but good enough if you're here for the drinks and want a bite to eat. read more

Messaged them on thanksgiving and they replied that they were open so I drove 30 mins to the shop and found out it was closed. They have a large selection of drinks, the drinks were good. I asked for less sweet which it was. Wish there was more strawberry puree. The matcha itself was okay. The pudding was good but wish it could float. The waffle was good, wish there was more filling sauce for the size of the waffle. The coffee was probably the best thing there. I'd come back. read more

Obsessed with the new Labean Café in Factoria! The drinks are gorgeous but my fave was anything with their thick, creamy peanut cloud; I'd come back just for that! The crema options are so fun but little too thick for my liking BUT flavor is on point! Matcha here is pretty subtle, so if you like it strong go for their coffee instead . I think this place has been open about 3 months now, but I finally got to try it! I got the velvet brûlée drink and a pair of mozzarella cheese croc waffles (hilarious). The drink was very sweet, a bit like dessert, and I got the salted cheese dip with the waffles so it was a bit more savory. They did warn me that the waffles would take about 15 minutes, which I appreciated the heads up about. Both were awesome, and the ambiance of the store is very cool. There is a LOT of ice in the drinks. You'll be done in about 6 sips. Because the drink is full of ice, the drink becomes quite diluted and flavor is muted. Banh mi could use more spread but the filling is not bad. This place leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully there can be changes in the future for some improvements. read more

The boba is hard, the milk teas taste weird like soy milk, maybe too much creamer. Service is kinda slow. They also forgot the salted cream on the green milk tea. No adjustments are allowed. The only yummy thing was the creme on the creme brulee milk tea. read more

We visited this newer coffee spot recently and their coffee packed quite a punch. There was only one person working while we were there so service took a bit longer but I don't mind waiting for good coffee. I got a Vietnamese coffee with salted cold cream and that was delicious. Parking was a pain because we were there during lunch rush and they share parking with other businesses in the plaza. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area. read more

The barista Stephanie was amazing and very helpful. She made us feel right at home even though it was our first time in. The environment is cute and calm. Great place for a date and work. This place is so cute!! I loved all the decor and atmosphere. My friend and I got the strawberry matcha which was divine and sweet. The drink did have a lot of ice so I'd recommend asking for light ice next time. The service was quick and easy and the employees were very nice. The parking lot is a little hard to park in, so we just parked across the street by the KFC, easy walk over. read more

Originally stopped by for some boba and although I'm normally not a coffee drinker, the coffee drinks looked too good so I ordered one instead of boba. The staff was very friendly and helpful and redirected me to the gentle bean version of the classic iced Vietnamese coffee (one shot) instead of the regular after I told her I'm a little sensitive to caffeine. Thankful for that because I definitely got jittery after drinking less than half! The drink was really good though and just that right amount of Vietnamese coffee sweetness. Everything but two drinks are caffeinated. They did not have boba when we went, told us 20mins then corrected for 40+. Which I get, but it was like 4pm. The croc was good but just kind of overwhelming. We split it amongst 6. The ube cream was nice but for their pricing I would've liked to had boba and other non caffeine options. read more

I visited on a weekend during a slower period, but since the café sits right next to a college, I can imagine the line spilling out the door during peak hours. At quieter times though, the layout works well--there's enough space for a couple people to wait without crowding the entrance. I ordered a cortado and an almond croissant. The croissant came warmed, and the texture was spot on: fluffy, layered, and not overly greasy. The almond filling had a really nice balance--nutty with just enough sweetness and a hint of salt to round it out. I was told the pastries are made in-house, and it definitely shows. It tasted like something made with care. The cortado itself was solid--pretty classic, nothing overly fancy. One thoughtful touch I appreciated was that it came with sparkling water, which was great for cleansing the palate. The space itself is fairly spacious and works well if you want a quiet moment to sip your coffee. That said, most of the seating is high stools, so it doesn't really feel like the type of place to settle in and study for hours. Overall, I really enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and quality of the food. The one thing that caught me off guard was the price of the croissant at $6.50. It tasted great and I understand prices in this area tend to run higher, especially for house-made pastries--but it's a bit outside what I'd usually spend. So while I definitely think it's good, it might not become a regular stop for me simply due to location and budget. Still, a great find and a pleasant surprise during a routine coffee run. The earlier you come the more likely you will get to eat the delicious pastries, but if you come past 11 AM you likely won't find much. Their croissants are always on the menu, but many of their pastries are seasonally available so you have to come back. I haven't tried their sandwiches yet, but those pastries are amazing. The staff here are so nice too! Super tolerant as my indecision took over my brain seeing so many pastries! I think not having anyone behind me helped with that - a rare slow moment - because once the door opened I waved the white flag, asked them to pick me 3 of their favorites and off I went. Mr. Brioche ($11) - This sandwich starts with a rich toasted brioche bun, which is then slathered with some creamy and fatty aioli. A soft and tender, spiced breakfast patty is placed on top, charred just a tad to give some browning and develop flavor. Some eggs, cooked on the flat top in a circular mold which makes it perfectly conform to the size of the bun, is carefully placed on top of the meat, and then finally some swiss cheese cements the sweet vegetal microgreens atop. The bun is voluminous, especially noteworthy in height. The interior ingredients only reaches perhaps 1/3 the height of the bun, making it appear that the sandwich will be dry. But that's an impression soon deemed to be false, as there's more than enough moisture from the aioli and melted cheese to smooth things over. (4/5) I don't normally associate cafes, particularly ones that seem to lean more towards the drink side of things, to also serve good food. But overall, I came out pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food I ate. Bathrooms - Single unisex room.

It's a great central location on the eastside, just off of I-90. The interior is modern, well-lit, and spacious. They have board games and plenty of tables for sitting, studying, and working. I would say 90% of people there at around 11am on a weekday had their laptops open and earphones in. The table I sat at could've been wiped off a bit better, but other than that, the bathrooms and interior were clean. Last Frontier features a seasonal menu which this summer includes a Mango Matcha, Blueberry Latte, and Butterfly Iced Tea. Outside of their seasonal menu, their menu is pretty standard, but they use a special coffee brand from Japan which I hope to try maybe in the future. They additionally serve a limited variety of pastries from Macrina Bakery. I ordered a regular ICED MATCHA ($6.75) with oat milk (+0.75). With tax and tip, my order came out to nearly $10, which is pretty steep even these days for a drink. I will say that the matcha had a nice gradient and color to it and that based on the color, they use high quality ceremonial matcha and not the cheap yellowish green matcha that many cafes use. However, it was somewhat watered down and did not have any microfoam at the top, indicating that the ratio of water to matcha was too high. Given that Last Frontier is more of a coffee shop than a matcha shop, this is to be expected. So I will say that while itt's not the best matcha out there, it's also not the worst I've had either; it's passable. Also, the drink came unsweetened by default I guess (which I personally prefer), but just putting it out there for those who are used to having sweetened matcha :) One qualm I have is that they don't have prices on their menu which I think should be transparent to customers. I also don't like how the keypad for tipping is so close to the register and facing flat up that the baristas see exactly how much you are tipping. Furthermore, I'm not a fan of shops who charge more for alternative milk. In my opinion, just because you are lactose intolerant, you shouldn't be charged more, but it seems remain a common cafe practice despite Starbucks removing the extra cost for plant milk from their menu. Overall: 3/5 for drinks, 3/5 for atmosphere, 3/5 for service

One of my friends instead got their una-gyu donburi which is a mix of unagi and sukiyaki beef, though that means we all got their unagi. Eel wasn't too salty, and scales are very fine and small that you can just eat it as is. This was a warming, hearty meal that sat very well with me and my friends. For this location and the one in Georgetown, I am most certainly coming back for some more!

We visited around 1 PM with a group, and unfortunately the experience was underwhelming. The wait time was quite long despite there only being about 20 people in the café. The staff seemed very inexperienced, moving slowly and lacking the efficiency typically expected in this industry. The pastries, such as the croissants, appeared to be sourced from Costco rather than freshly made. I also noticed concerning sanitation practices--shaker cups were being rinsed by hand instead of with proper equipment. In most cafés, a Vitamix rinser or similar setup is standard to ensure speed and cleanliness, but that was missing here. Additionally, many of their supplies looked wholesale-sourced, and the flavors seemed to rely heavily on syrups rather than real fruit. As someone with experience managing boba shops, I can say the café doesn't feel well-prepared or equipped to handle consistent customer flow or deliver a high-quality product. Finally found a real Vietnamese coffee spot in Bellevue! As someone Vietnamese, I've been searching for that bold, strong flavor that isn't sour, and La'Bean absolutely nailed it. The ice level was perfect too; if anyone says it's "too much ice," they probably don't understand how true Vietnamese coffee is meant to be enjoyed, we sip it slowly, not chug it like a soda I also had a great chat with the owner. Now we just need a Chagee and maybe a Nayuki to complete the quintet (Heytea/Teabydo/Molly) of premium "New Style Tea" Chinese boba houses. This particular location has apparently been open for a couple of weeks now and is well past the grand opening stage. Puzzling, given how unprepared the place was when I dropped in on a weekday for a drink. Arriving just past 11:10, the first thing I did was walk up to one of the two convenient kiosks to order (as there was already a small line for in-person ordering). I noticed the drink menu looked very short, and glancing over at the screen at the front counter, I could see the kiosk was missing around 2/3 of the drinks. Not that I cared too much since the drink I was aiming to get was there. Finalizing all the adjustments and toppings, I started to check out, only to be greeted with an error screen. Yay technology. So I had to line up a bit, no problem. Stuff happens. Finally getting up to the front, I tried ordering the same drink, but with light ice as the menu states I'm able to do. Nope, apparently the menu is wrong and they only have full ice and no ice as options. Okay, fine I'll try regular ice. I want to add boba though. Nope, it isn't ready yet. At this point it's more than 20 minutes after opening, and there's no boba yet? That's fine for a local independent boba shop, but this is ChaPanda! They have almost 9000 stores, how have they not figured things out yet!? Given the wait time for fresh boba, I decided to leave and revisit later in the day, this time ordering at the counter without an issue. While waiting for my drink, I noticed a couple of flasks over by the pickup area, filled with tea leaves for sniffing. There's a Gardenia Green Tea, which smells floral and grassy, an excellent combination. There's Jasmine tea, a little disappointing given a heavily over oxidized smell overpowering what should be bright flowery notes. Then finally the Oolong, giving off a mild smell with some almost rancid elements. Not a good sign, given that's what I ordered... Oolong Milk Tea with Soybean Cheese Foam, Large, Regular Ice, 50% Sugar w/ Boba ($8.98) - Let me start by saying - wow this drink is EXPENSIVE. More expensive than Molly. More expensive than Chicha San Chen. Yeah, the drink is larger than the other two, but is the quality as good? In terms of tea, the answer is decidedly no. The tea has basically no fragrance, which on a positive note means that's no rancidity to be had. Instead, there's a slight funky tanginess and saltiness from the cheese foam on top, then a captivating roasty nutty note from the soybean powder mixed into the foam. I actually really like the inclusion of the soybean powder - I haven't seen another boba shop with this unique addition. While basically drowning out all the more delicate tea flavors, I found it very enjoyable to drink. Otherwise, the drink gives a relatively rich and creamy mouthfeel, pairing with a sweetness that's very sweet but not cloying. I would probably opt to reduce the sugar if I visited again. Clearly, the focus of TeaByDo is not the tea base, but rather the accompaniments. On a positive note, the ice level was also fine at regular. It's actually similar to light ice at most other boba shops - enough to completely cool the drink while leaving only a couple of chips left over. I can see on a hot day, this drink might actually need more ice than regular. While this drink is located in the "Classic Milk Tea" section rather than "Fresh Milk Tea," I feel like this drink still has tons of dairy, not even including the cheese foam top. At least, my stomach certainly was feeling it an hour later... The boba TeaByDo serves is heavily marinated in a brown sugar solution. It's very sweet and flavorful with brown sugar minerality, probably one of the most flavorful boba I've had in a while. This soak gives a really soft, velvety, and sticky texture on the exterior that doesn't harden or firm up even when cooled down fully. That unfortunately means that the interior is also on the softer side, decreasing some of the requisite chew and bounce. It's not too far gone, and I certainly wouldn't describe it as being mushy. What's puzzling is that with most pearls being softer, there were some shrunken pearls which were actually too firm. Maybe they don't stir the boba enough while cooking? Milk Tea Rating: 4.5/5 (More of a 4/5 but I personally really enjoyed the flavor of the soy bean flour) Boba Rating: 4/5 TeaByDo is a mixed bag. The drinks are pretty good, but they still have some major issues that should have been solved during the soft opening phase. Assuming that they do have it all figured out, I'd be willing to return to try out more. (Normal Rating would be 4*, but subtracting 1* for all the issues they had) Bathrooms - I didn't see any, but I also didn't ask if they had one.
