    Pizza

Our last night in Bar Harbor and decided to walk downstairs to one of the hotel restaurants and I'm glad I did. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and told me about this mushroom, truffle and arugula pizza, which was great. I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but the pizza is great. I didn't dine in, but the interior of the restaurant looked great and had great views of the water. If staying at the resort, this is definitely worth a visit.

I'm sitting inside right here right now. The service is beyond horrendous. I don't even know how to describe it, not to mention the fact that I'm not a high-maintenance customer at all. We've been waiting for more than 30 minutes, and nothing came out. The restaurant isn't that full. We don't even have a server--just some random person filled in. We ordered two chicken entrees and at this point I'm not sure if the food will matter or not, as the night has already been ruined by the terrible service.

Good food, in taste and presentation. We came in early evening, place was quiet. It started picking up at 8 PM on the last weekend before the place closed down before the cold front started. Food was good. I got the calamari and bruschetta. The warm blueberry pie with cold gelato was just the right combination, as well as in size and light in taste not too sweet. Our server was attentive and pleasant to talk with. And the place was decorated in warm tones.

Absolute WORST table service I've ever had. I'm not exaggerating when I say this - I travel all over the United States for work, eat out often, and have never had an experience like this. We tried to order an appetizer and asked for a few minutes before placing our main course. The waiter tried to rush our order and told us what we could order that wouldn't take too much time. He did not give us a few minutes, got in my personal space, and uncomfortably had us ordering. Upon my boyfriend ordering a burger, the waiter responded with "eh I guess that's fine". When I ordered, he seemed unpleased, again, with the time it would take. When the burger came out, it was basically all pink (see picture). My meal was alright, but after the experience so far, I had lost my appetite at that point. When we mentioned it to the waiter, he provided an excuse as to why it was cooked that way. We asked to speak with the manager 3 times. The waiter came back and said he spoke with her on our behalf and took the burger off the bill. We still wanted to speak with the manager. She did NOT come over to our table. We had to get up and walk over to her. That experience was also terrible. Nothing was truly solved after explaining our experience. We still paid for our appetizer and drinks. (The only edible items). I DO NOT recommend. Get an Uber to a restaurant downtown for less than $10, trust me, it is worth it.

Beautiful views from the outdoor dining which is dog friendly.

This is for La Bella at the Regency Hotel not the one downtown at Harborside/Bar Harbor Club. We stayed at the Regency so our breakfast was included with our stay. We just paid tax and tip. We had dinner here the first night after looking at the reviews and photos. I'm not sure if they were on limited menu since recently reopening or if some of the reviews/photos were of the main location. I did not want pizza so felt like options were limited and I really wanted to have the sizzling crab & lobster dip & saltimbocca, and my pasta was ok. But, definitely convenient at the hotel. I liked that they had outdoor seating so we could bring our dogs. They have an awesome and extensive fun drink menu too. For breakfast, our fave options were Eggs Benedict, Brealfast Sliders and Mini trio of waffles (definitely a smaller meal though). Skillet was not that good (mostly eggs with tiny tiny pieces of meat). Would be nice if they had iced coffees, mimosas or bloody marys. They may run the Tiki Bar by the pool too. I'll post seperately. Super extensive drink list!

The pizza is satisfying. It's a bit tart but somehow hit the spot. The pasta leaves much to be desired. I drowned my gnocchi in salt and pepper to give it taste. I loved the cocktail, even ate the sweet pineapple slices. It's not very strong which made it a good pairing with the food. Tasted more like fruit juice

Food is good (not great), but not worth the price tag. We've been here 2 days and this is our 3rd (and last) attempt. Not one server has smiled unless they are talking to each other. The place itself overlooks a beautiful view of the water... just the staff can't seem to be friendly... no matter how many times I try to smile and be friendly to lighten the vibe. Crazy.

Honestly, had very low expectations going into my dining experience. I was staying at the Holiday Inn/Bar Harbor Regency for the weekend and the rest of my party opted for convenience. To my surprise, I was very impressed. Great service, good food. Overall very pleased with my experience. A nice warm bowl of pasta (build your own) after a long, cold, rainy day was exactly what I needed. We also had Caesar salad and garlic knots to start and they were delicious. They had an extensive cocktail list and everyone in my party was pleased with their drinks. The bill was a little steep, but I was anticipating that going into the experience. I visit Bar Harbor regularly and I will not go out of my way to come back, but if you are looking for a good meal and it's convenient, I would recommend it. Not many Italian options in the area, so if you're looking for a good bowl of pasta, this is a great option!

Breakfast is the most important meals of the day. I booked an over night stay at the Holiday Inn Bar Harbor. By adding an extra 28 dollars we would get a complementary breakfast for a party of four. I am so glad we did. The breakfast was very good and service was excellent. Now we have energy to go to hike in Acadia national Park

We had the restaurant to ourselves initially so I cannot speak for the acoustics but overall Porcelli's offers a nice atmosphere for dinner. My family of four were eager to enjoy an Italian meal after days of traditional New England style meals. We began with the Strawberry & Burrata Salad and the Polpetti (meatballs with polenta). The starters were okay but the stars of the show came next. Our boys each enjoyed the halibut served with risotto. My husband had the Cacio e Pepe. He said it was as good as any he had while in Rome. I had the Gnocchi Mushroom Ragu. It was one of the top Gnocchi dishes I have had the pleasure of enjoying. Our ten year old son said it was the best gnocchi he has ever had. The texture of the gnocchi and the flavors of the sauce made for a flawless dish. The chef makes all pastas in-house and you can tell. The pasta dishes are exceptional! The entree portions are generous so you won't mind sharing a bite or two with your dining companions. I only wish we would have discovered this gem earlier in our trip.
