I have lived on Long Island my whole life so I've had pizza from just about everywhere... but La Bistro is the best!! First of all... BUFFALO GARLIC KNOTS.. they are sooooo good! The staff on my last visit seemed a bit...how do I put this...slow. He needed me to repeat a slice and stuffed knot order three times but whatever everyone has a bad day. I really really like the pizza here. The cheese is of obvious high quality and the sauce isn't offensively sweet at all. Their dinners are really quite good and you get an obscene amount of food for what you're paying. I live in Queens, and work in Manhattan; so by no means is there a shortage of great pizza places in my life. Besides pizza, if there is one thing I love; it's a good garlic knot. Not to greasy, just enough garlic, the right amount of cheese, and that perfect crunch. While on Long Island I was on a quest to find the greatest garlic knot. While in Wading River, I stumbled across the Buffalo Garlic Knot here at La Bistro. After the first bite, I was addicted. I immediately bought several more to bring home. Besides the B.G.K., the pizza was awesome, and to my surprise the crust of the pizza and the bottom of the pizza had an awesome crunch, and the sauce was amazing too. The two brothers (Matt and Alex) are great guys and I love the ambience of the pizza place. If you are in the area, you must stop by La Bistro. End of story. read more

Besides NYC this is the best pizza I've ever had. Everything on the menu is great from wraps, salads or the wide variety of specialty slices. You can't go wrong with anything you order from here. This place has delicious food, but the service is absolutely horrendous. You'll wait FOREVER for either take-out or dining in. The last time my husband and I went there we ordered three regular slices. We were told that there was going to be a long wait for the three slices because they had just run out. They had a whole un-sold pie in the oven but they weren't willing to give us three slices from it (apparently it had to be kept whole for some reason), so we were told we had to wait for another pie to be ready after that one. We said we would just buy the whole pie that was in the oven (figuring we'd just have leftovers for another night). The guy behind the counter said he'd only sell us that pie if we paid for it by the slice. We left and haven't looked back since. read more

Haven't even eaten the pizza yet,but the customer service is already evidently outstanding. Helpful cashiers and managers. The owner himself assisted us in setting up the tables outdoors due to the rainy weather. Stopping off this pizza shop was definitely a good decision. I recommend to everyone in the area. read more

My husband and I found this place about 2 years ago when we moved out here from queens and they make, by far, the best pizza I've had outside of the city. Sauce, crust, cheese all on point. Their pasta meals are pretty good too, but the pizza is where they excel. read more

Not bad, not bad. I'm usually very picky with my pizza and this place wasn't bad at all. The dough was cooked a little different I guess, but it turned out to be really good. Everyone in my group got a couple of different slices, and we were all pleased with everything. The staff was nice and efficient. I am a local and LOVE La Bistro. We always get our pizza from here. The crust is always perfect and pizza hot and their specialty pies and slices are to die for. More importantly, the staff is super nice and professional, which keeps us coming back. I've called several times for specialty pies when family visits and they will make us anything we want! been in la bistro a few times lately, actually referred by an employee of a competitor, the pizza to stay is superb. their gourmet selections have captured traditional italian flavor with a modern spin. every thing is delicious. i could have eaten a full course meal at another restaurant and still find myself thinking of how yummy an appetizer or slice would still be on the way home. they totally upped the ante this week when i had to attend a party and i thought ok, let me bring an antipasto. they made me a tray that was absolutely precious, visually attractive and top quality ingredients, could have easily charged me double. people were on the verge of fist fighting for more at the party and the creamy italian vinaigrette just sent it over the top. these guys are extremely serious, their only interest is in satisfying us. if you are anywhere in the wading river area do give them a shot, and even if you are not so close but just passing through it is SO WORTH STOPPING IN. love you guys thank you for renewing my interest in NY PIZZA, etc. YOU ROCK!!!! cant wait to try the veal parm and other heroes inside out please read more

This is by far the best food I have ever had. I am lucky enough to have a real Italian mother-in-law who is hands down the best cook I have come across (and I love food) La Bistro not only tastes as authentic as her cooking but to talk to the owner you can appreciate his love for food as well and you can tell the same love and care that comes out of my mothers kitchen goes into their pride in their food as well. Everything from the regular slice to the biggest dinner dish on the menu, everything comes out tasting the same and always leaves you feeing full and satisfied. One of my all time favorites are the delicious buffalo knots up at the front counter. Theyre not too spicy but still give off the right amount of flavor and kick, and when you top it with their homemade blu cheese, it is like heaven in your mouth. The staff is always working hard and it always seems that customer service is at the top of their list, no matter how busy they are. Its family run and you feel the warmth and invitingness the second you walk through the door. People should never complain about the long wait because a busy place always insures amazing product.
