La Boucherie is located on the 71st floor of the Wilshire Grand Centre in DTLA. It is located one level above the lobby of the Intercontinental Hotel located in the same building. We were there celebrating a birthday and had booked a private room that boasted a stunning wrapped around view of the city, and a beautiful skyline. Now onto the food: 1. The seafood tower - the hamachi was so fresh and all the seafood delicious. 4.8/5 2. Wagyu TomHawk Steak - good, some pieces were fatty 4/5 3. Charred Octopus - a must order! We ended up getting a second plate 5/5 4. Broccolini and sliced potatoes. The potatoes were perfectly crispy. 5/5 5. Crab cake - not only was the presentation beautiful, the crust was so crispy. This might be the BEST crab cake I have ever had. Service was excellent. The women's bathroom was BEAUTIFUL! We had a great time. Perfect for celebrations.

This place is beautiful but due to it's popularity I found the service to be slow. There is an hour wait time for party of 4. The then takes another hour. Once you get your food, getting a hold of your server is a bit challenging. The intercontinental breakfast is massive a designed to be shared. The Benedict sauce is reddish brown and has an all spice taste that I wasn't a fan of , and the bread is brioche. The views are beautiful.

Came on a Wednesday evening and they were able to seat the two of us right away- The place is really large and lively! Elegant decor and lots of seating. Ordered the French onion soup which was $23- it's a huge portion so I'd recommend sharing! It was the best French onion soup I've ever had. We got the rib eye to share and it was just okay- definitely just a mediocre steak to me, kinda over cooked and a bit chewy.

The views are absolutely stunning and gorgeous! People aren't leading you astray when they say it's lovely! Open space with great lighting especially in the morning time, feels very airy. Got the omelet plate which came with three toppings of my choice. It also came with roasted potatoes and some fruit (blueberries and blackberries). Delicious breakfast! I also got coffee which gave me the perfect caffeine buzz and the server refilled my coffee. My friend and I shared a butter croissant and it came out warm and perfectly flaky! The service was also incredible and our server was friendly and attentive which we appreciated! They do offer valet parking which they validate for two hours for a set amount then additional time adds a fee.

I recently stayed at the Intercontinental and had the chance to dine at La Boucherie twice for breakfast and both times were five star experiences! Note I did make reservations both times on open table so I was seated pretty quickly once I checked in, so between that and also staying at the hotel I'm not sure if that helps but all in all amazing experience! My stay included breakfast which let me get an item, juice and coffee. I ordered the three item omelette both times and both times were spot on. Definitely add the fresh herbs to whatever you get... they add such rich depth and help to bring out the layers of taste in the other ingredients. Now. Let's take a moment for the pastries. The intercontinental is known for them. I have been to many globally and hands down, I always try their croissants. No matter where I am. Because they are always stellar. And this place, no exception. Had the butter croissant the first day - so buttery and good, just the right amount of flakiness, and served with creamy butter (not needed but I can't resist butter!). But also... the pain au chocolat!?! Be still my heart. Just divine. Now I know the French are the best at this but... these may be some of my favorites. My absolute compliments to the geniuses who are the pastry masters here because it is worth the $10. The dining room is on the 71st floor with spectacular views of the Los Angeles skyline, you're riding higher than most of the buildings in DTLA and definitely higher than many of the birds in the area! Beautiful decor and lighting on a brunch and sunny day. And shout out to Jasmine - amazing amazing service! Took great care of us. She was an absolute delight and on the second day even remembered us and took note of what we might want. Now that is service with class!

Food is really mediocre. Ambiance is really nice. Not worth it if you don't have any hotel credit. We came here for dinner and breakfast. Dinner - they charge $15 for a bread basket and it only had 4 small rolls. I know ppl come here for ambiance and the view and this place is great for those. Don't expect amazing food.

The view of course is #1. Service was also great. While my companions ordered the Eggs Benedict, I enjoyed the omelet plate with shrimp. Elegant presentation and was filling. There are meal comps with hotel stay, but anyone is welcome to come to the restaurant.

Excellent views, ambiance, and service which is what you're definitely paying for. We had the charcuterie board, filet mignon, salmon, and the cheesecake - all tasted well yet it wasn't anything memorable. The corkage is $75 per bottle with a two bottle max. Our server, Henry, did an amazing job throughout the evening. He was polite, attentive, and provided great recommendations on the menu. The support staff were also very attentive and polite. The views are simply amazing.

we had Valentine's Day dinner at La boucherie We asked our waiter for his recommendations, and he suggested the seared scallops pasta, octopus, hamachi, and onion soup. We found the majority of the dishes to be amazingly good, and we were truly surprised by how great the food was. While the onion soup was just okay, the rest of the meal and the excellent service more than made up for it. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back.

My review is based on the breakfast menu, not dinner. Breakfast was okay--nothing too impressive--but we mainly wanted to try this place because of the views, which honestly are worth it. My original plan was to have dinner to celebrate my anniversary, but just so you know, there is no dinner service on Sundays and Mondays, only breakfast. The service was good and fast, and they surprised us with a very nice gesture for our anniversary, which we really appreciated. That's the reason for the 4 stars. I'll definitely be back to try dinner since I've seen great recommendations for it--hopefully that will earn the 5 stars.

The views were gorgeous. The restaurant is on the 71st floor, just above the lobby! Amazing flavors and excellent service. It's pricey, but I'd come back for a special occasion.

Finally dine at La Boucherie, it did not disappoint. First thing in the view. Floor-to-ceiling windows the DTLA city skyline and the slow crawl of cars on the i10 like liquid gold. Our table at sunset felt like front-row seats to a private show. Service was excellent as well. Water glasses never dipped below half-full. Courses arrived with calm, precise explanations. We ordered the Tomahawk steak, Octopus, Scallop paste, and a chicken dish. Everything tastes better than expected. Often time these restaurants with views the foods not up to par, but not La Boucherie. The only reason for not 5 stars is the price is in the higher side.

Probably the most elegant spot in DTLA. Pristine dining room with spectacular views. Impeccable service. The seafood platter has everything you would ever want. The bread! I meal on its own. Unbelievable. I had the 5A Wagyu NY. Not really my thing. It's like eating a big piece of gristle. I should have gone with the filet. But worth the money. Yes, every penny. So many pennies that will break your bank account balance.

Is there valet parking? Or what parking is close by?

Yes, there is both valet and self parking for about $17, for two hours, when validated! It gets substantially more expensive after that.

Does the restaurant require a vaccination card to dine?

    Is there a tasting menu?

    Do not remember seeing this.

What is the difference between main dining seating and standard seating?

The main dining is standard with a table, but there's also the bar or the private suites and chef's table.

Are they open or still temporarily closed?

They are reopening on January 14, 2022! 😬

I have a reservation. Is dress code enforced? And are sneakers ok if you dress them up casually?

It is a French steakhouse with an awesome view. One does not have to wear a tux or formal gown but definitely no tennis shoes !!!! Just my opinion 😊

Do you offer prefix course menu for the dinner?

Can I bring my baby which is 7 and half months now to the restaurant? Or is there a restriction? I have an invitation must go but cant leave baby at home or to anyone, so…

Ummmm.... This isn't the kind of restaurant you take kids to. I didn't see any children there. I didn't see anyone under the age of 18 there. I saw men wearing coats & women dressed up. This restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere with a gorgeous view.…

    Is there an age requirement?

I don't believe there's an age requirement but it's more of an adult environment for the restaurant.

Is there live music for slow dancing?

Unfortunately, there is no music to dance to. They do have music on the background just to sooth the moment.

    What is the corkage fee?

You'll be fine with out a jacket !

Can you just go for drinks?

Yes, there is a bar with a large selection of top shelf spirits.

Do they offer any vegetarian options?

    Yes

What's the difference between bar seating and standard seating? It asks me to choose while making a reservation. I want a window table so which do I request?

The bar is in the center section, if you want a window seat it would be a standard table. If you specifically want a window spot you should probably call in and request it directly.

    Should u be 21+?

You do not have to be 21+ to dine here. Upscale adult vibes.

Open table says "jacket preferred" on the dress. Really?

Forget what the maitre d' thinks. Ask your girlfriend or wife if she'd prefer you put on a jacket and tuck your shirt in. I bet she takes the time to look great before she goes out; why don't YOU be the eye candy for a change? You might like it.…

High ceilings, Natural lighting, classy decor, comfy couches... Yeah, take your time with that room, we'll wait! So we plopped down onto their sofa, waited for a cocktail menu, and let the "we left the kids at home with Grandma; let's enjoy being kid-free for the night begin". $18.00 cocktails....Lets Goooo!! Looking back at the Photos, I can't exactly recall what we ordered... Was it a whiskey sour? Was it a paper plane?? Honestly, Who cares! They tasted great. When I arrived, there were only about 15-20 people ahead of me in line. As the afternoon progressed, the line stretched down the street, yet no staff member came outside to communicate capacity limits, seating availability, or where the line should reasonably end. Even more concerning, patrons were not admitted until after the match had already started. The situation quickly became chaotic. People who had waited for hours were understandably frustrated, and many were openly voicing their concerns. Groups were admitted one at a time, creating further delays. When it was finally my turn to enter, I was informed that all tables had been taken and that only standing room remained. I was allowed to look inside before deciding whether to stay. What I observed was particularly disappointing: many individuals who had not been ahead of me in line were already seated at tables. I have no idea how they got in but I suspect they were allowed in through some other entrance. After waiting more than two hours based on the information provided by the establishment, this felt unfair and misleading. Most disappointing was having invited friends to join me for the match, only to have the experience ruined by what appeared to be poor planning and inadequate crowd management. The demand for a major World Cup match should not have come as a surprise. If the venue anticipated significant attendance, additional seating, staffing, and clear communication should have been put in place. This was one of the most poorly managed event experiences I have encountered. At a minimum, I believe the ownership should publicly acknowledge what occurred and apologize to the many customers who invested hours of their time only to be left without the accommodations they were promised. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

My friend and I split the love bug and it was disappointing. It tasted fruity, but watered down and it felt like there was barely an alcohol in it. I also tasted my other friends' drinks which were also not good. The raspberry beret and the peach paloma were both bitter and not pleasant tasting.   For food, the only decent thing was the buldak. It was cheesy and I liked how they infused the corn cheese into it. The chicken was good and juicy. The tteokkbokki was weird. Firstly, they didn't include the parmesan crisps as they mentioned in the menu. Secondly, the sauce was different compared to other tteokkbokki sauces I'm used to. It was dark red in color, soupy, and oily which I did not like. Thirdly, the rice and fish cakes themselves were very unique in shape. The cakes and sausages weren't that bad and the textures were good, but the sauce was just not it.  Lastly, the ramen was such a scam. For $15, it was just regular shin ramyeon with some mussels, jalapenos and peppers added. For all the food dishes, the portions were all small relative to the price and were not great for sharing in big groups.   The interior was spacious and vibes were decent. The music from the DJ booth was good. The photobooth wasn't working when we visited which was a minus because my friends and I like the photobooths. There's a free and private parking lot next to the pocha which can get filled.   Overall, not the greatest experience at this pocha mostly because of the food and drinks and I would probably not visit again.
