We came back after 12years. This time we brought out 10yr old. She was so excited with the croissant and homemade jelly. She also showed down my mini baguette and sausage. We went back today for lunch. I had the chicken salad on croissant. Always delicious. But the croque monsieur was terrible. It was a dry ham and cheese sandwich . The bechamel sauce, if there was any, was dried out. We should have returned it. And for the price of their sandwiches, they could at least throw on some chips. I love the coffee. read more

Almost thought this was the same La Boulangerie affiliated from San Francisco and Starbucks (Starbucks bought the company in SF, sold their pastries for a year then closed down the business before moving onto another pastry shop), but it's a separate business. French-inspired cafe with 2 seater tables and outdoor seating. La Boulangerie has plenty of seating and tables, selling pastries, sandwiches, soups, salads, and coffees. Though I was tempted to buy a pastry, I decided to dine in with a croque monsieur and a cold brew. Normally a croque monsieur is an open face sandwich with melted cheese on top to form a crust, but this came out looked like a grilled cheese with ham. I didn't mind as it made it easier for me to eat, but wasn't what I expected. I was recommended this dish from the cashier because I was deciding between the brie & apple grilled cheese and I wanted something savory. Will try the other one next time! My cold brew was mixed with oat milk and oof - it was still so strong! Definitely woke me up for the afternoon. Lots of staff walking around to deliver food/drinks and cleaning up take. It can be difficult to get a table on a weekend day, but they manage the crowd well and usually a spot will open up before long. (You order at the counter then go find a table where they bring you your food). It is a casual environment, but the food is high-quality. The Cappuccino was delicious, and I love trying all their different pastries. The chocolate croissant has been the standout for me, and the almond croissant was a hit with my friends. A friend brought pastries from La Boulangerie to a meeting last week. They were really good. I decided to check them out today and was quite impressed with the facility. I ordered two almond croissants and two slices of coconut cake. My total, before tip, was a little over $26. I got home and opened the cake boxes and saw that the person who served me short sliced one of the pieces of cake. The cake edges are also dry, maybe from sitting exposed in the case. I should have looked before leaving but didn't. I really chaps my buns when cake is short sliced. The other slice was fine. I don't think I will return. read more

We're on a road trip and had to stop by a laundry. While waiting for clothes I noticed this bakery across the street. Went in to get a cup of coffee and had my mind blown. Very nicely laid out with a great vibe, lively but you can still carry a conversation. Waitstaff were extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions. The chocolate cake and coffee were absolutely delicious. Met one of the principals as she was checking the displays. Had a very friendly conversation as I am an old baker. These guys know their pastry! A bit of a line on a Saturday morning but it moved quickly. Picked up a breakfast sandwich on a wonderful croissant, along with an almond croissant which looked too good to resist (and was every bit as tasty as it looked!). Since I was off to the airport for an afternoon flight (alas, time to leave NOLA and Jazz Fest behind!) I knew anything from here would be far superior to anything I could get at the terminal. So, I picked up a Parisian sandwich (though, with the Comte cheese which attracted me it should be named the Franche-Comteian, but I digress...) which was also a welcome treat after I made my way thru TSA. Update: I was conducted by the manager and had a lengthy discussion and feel that he will speak with the staff. It does not change my review of what happened initially, but I did change it from one star to three because I do feel like the manager was responsive and possibly change will be made. I am absolutely astonished at the service and inability to make small changes with food that they claim is prepared fresh . I go there frequently. I'm always found that the food is phenomenal, but I will never go back! I went in and asked for a breakfast sandwich with certain kind of bread (that they sell and had in stock) because of recent dietary restrictions caused by a severe illness, and the cashier was dismissive, rude, didn't offer to help in anyway or offer any suggestions completely shot me down and wouldn't even listen to me when I asked for a breakfast sandwich that is allegedly made fresh to order be on a different type of bread, I then changed my order to something else because I didn't feel like arguing with her and they were out of every other item I wanted. She offered new suggestions or options of things I could do and wouldn't even sell me just two slices of the bread so I can move the breakfast sandwich over to the type of bread I could have..
