If you're looking for the best desserts in town, this is the place! They have a huge variety of desserts and drinks, so there's something for everyone. Everything we tried was delicious. The staff could have been a little friendlier, but the desserts definitely made up for it. We'd still come back to satisfy our sweet tooth!

Great brunch place with a good menu of both sweet & savory pastries, as well as sandwiches and coffee. The patio in the back is nice for outdoor seating during good weather, and the place is fairly spacious. We got quick service, but there can sometimes be a few minutes waiting in line as this place sure is popular!

The sweetest and busiest bakery! I visited with a friend and it was a great place to catch up. They have lots of seating inside and outside. I could tell that everything was fresh and my almond croissant was so delicious. It was the perfect amount of sweetness. I'd really like to try more! The only downside was the service. The tables were dirty and hard to get some help. I'll be back to try more treats!

Cute little French bakery. We got the cinnamon roll and the morning bun. Both were yummy. Their orange juice was also good.

Absolutely love this place The salmon bagel is literally the best in the city . My only concern is how hard it is to bite into it . Recommend asking for a shorter toaster time. Other than that , absolutely perfect ! The service is also very fast .

Always love coming to La Boulangerie. The cinnamon walnut twist is my favorite. If you get there before 9, there's usually plenty of places to sit. Great area for people watching! The breakfast sandwiches are all good, we typically get the simple egg sausage and cheese on crossiant.

Cute bakery with extensive menu. Staff is friendly. We tried the sandwich, gumbo and almond croissant. Loved the sandwich and must eat croissant. Mix review of its gumbo.

Almost thought this was the same La Boulangerie affiliated from San Francisco and Starbucks (Starbucks bought the company in SF, sold their pastries for a year then closed down the business before moving onto another pastry shop), but it's a separate business. French-inspired cafe with 2 seater tables and outdoor seating. La Boulangerie has plenty of seating and tables, selling pastries, sandwiches, soups, salads, and coffees. Though I was tempted to buy a pastry, I decided to dine in with a croque monsieur and a cold brew. Normally a croque monsieur is an open face sandwich with melted cheese on top to form a crust, but this came out looked like a grilled cheese with ham. I didn't mind as it made it easier for me to eat, but wasn't what I expected. I was recommended this dish from the cashier because I was deciding between the brie & apple grilled cheese and I wanted something savory. Will try the other one next time! My cold brew was mixed with oat milk and oof - it was still so strong! Definitely woke me up for the afternoon. Lots of staff walking around to deliver food/drinks and cleaning up take. They were also friendly. Overall, I'd come back again and would love to try out other menu items!

I felt like I was in France and I can't believe I've never been here after living in Nola for so long! There were a ton of different pastries and I got the chocolate croissant and a black tea and both were great. I have to come back in the future to try their sandwiches. There's a ton of indoor and out door seating and this place seemed like a great place to hangout or to do some work. Will definitely be back again!

I see why it's a local favorite! The almond croissant was excellent - flaky, buttery, and perfectly sweet. Their breakfast sandwiches were filling and delicious, and the café au lait was smooth and just right. Great spot for a relaxed breakfast or coffee break. Highly recommend! Will be back to try pies and cakes.

I did not come in here expecting to buy as many things as I did, but I'm sure glad I did. The staff was working their butts off and things were running quickly and smoothly. Their veggie breakfast sandwich was so nice for someone who doesn't eat pork. I really enjoyed that the eggs were cooked with broccoli. Gave it something extra. I got a few things to go but couldn't wait and grabbed one to eat here. The chocolate chip bread pudding was to die for. Really great place for a cute neighborhood.

La Boulangerie is definitely worth a stop. I went early because the line can get long, but it moves fairly quickly. It can be difficult to get a table on a weekend day, but they manage the crowd well and usually a spot will open up before long. (You order at the counter then go find a table where they bring you your food). It is a casual environment, but the food is high-quality. The Cappuccino was delicious, and I love trying all their different pastries. The chocolate croissant has been the standout for me, and the almond croissant was a hit with my friends. My favorite menu item for breakfast is their Egg and Sausage Croissant Sandwich and my favorite menu item for lunch is Le Parisian.

    Coconut cake slice.
    Cara D.

A friend brought pastries from La Boulangerie to a meeting last week. They were really good. I decided to check them out today and was quite impressed with the facility. I ordered two almond croissants and two slices of coconut cake. My total, before tip, was a little over $26. I got home and opened the cake boxes and saw that the person who served me short sliced one of the pieces of cake. The cake edges are also dry, maybe from sitting exposed in the case. I should have looked before leaving but didn't. I really chaps my buns when cake is short sliced. The other slice was fine. I don't think I will return.

Does this bakery offer any gluten free options?

I have not been there since November but at that time there were not any GF options. Have you been to District Donuts? They do have GF options.

We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children (one being only 2 years old), and because of that they changed our table type from a 4-top to a 5-top and made us wait an additional 30 minutes. Meanwhile, multiple tables became available that easily could have accommodated us, but the hostess was determined to keep telling us we had to wait. To make matters worse, there was open bench seating in the back where customers ordering to-go could sit. I offered to order food to-go so we could at least sit down and get started while waiting, and she told me if I did that they would remove our name from the waitlist because "you have to pick one or the other." No willingness to problem solve whatsoever. She repeatedly said she was "sorry," but her actions showed the opposite. I was simply trying to work together to find some reasonable solution instead of continuing to watch everyone else get seated while our family, including small children, kept waiting. Absolutely horrible customer service experience.

Their coffee is also really good and pairs perfectly with the food. The staff does a great job keeping up with the rush. The only downsides come down to space and logistics: Limited Seating: There is very little room inside, so it fills up fast. Outdoor Seating & Smoking: Because inside is tight, you often have to sit outside. Unfortunately, people were smoking in the outdoor seating area, which makes for a pretty unpleasant experience if you're trying to enjoy your food and fresh air. Parking: It can be quite a hassle to find a spot on busy days, so be prepared to circle the block. Overall, the food and drinks are a 5/5 and absolutely worth the trip, just keep the seating and parking limitations in mind if you're planning to stay and eat!

There is also a charming courtyard if you want to soak in some sunshine. I first learned about this bakery when staying at the Hotel Villa Convento across the street. They served their buttery rich croissants as part of their continental breakfast. (I'm not sure if they still do.) Now that I have a house in the Quarter, I take a morning stroll over here to pick up croissants to take home. The butter croissants are a bargain at $3.50. I also love the chocolate & almond (both are $3.95 each), as well as the crisp & flaky Palmiers & delicate Almond Florentines.
