Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. When we arrived, we were told Leah had overbooked and Billy would be taking us instead. I offered to wait for Leah, but my concerns were disregarded. The entire service felt rushed. Her toenails were poorly shaped, and the Dazzle Dry polish was thick, chunky, uneven, and left on her cuticles. When I asked for it to be cleaned up, I was told "after." For her manicure, she was left sitting in the pedicure chair. It was extremely uncomfortable for her, and the manicure was just as rushed, with poor shaping and uneven polish. We were then hurried to the drying station, where one of her nails was smudged. Rather than redoing it, another employee tried to smooth it out with her fingertip. When I asked if it could simply be redone, I was told, "That will take longer." At checkout, they also refused to honor the 15% senior discount currently advertised on their website and charged me $5 more than the prices listed online. I had hoped to find a salon where I could bring my mom and have her feel genuinely pampered and cared for. Sadly, this was not it. Several of the negative reviews described experiences very similar to ours, and I now wish I had paid closer attention to them. I hope the owner does the same.

The person that complained about not getting in as a 'walk-in' has no idea or basic understanding of what it means apparently! A 'walk-in' means that he/she is taking a CHANCE to see if there are openings/availabilities WHEN THEY WALK IN the door at that time, boo boo! Sometimes, you can get in when the girls aren't booked and sometimes, you can't! C'est la vie! It's like, why would appointments even exist if random people just get in and are taken by whomever and whenever??? Are the workers supposed to ignore their pre-booked appointments and take a random walk-in?! Nahhh, that would be wrong and unprofessional! Girl, you need to sit down somewhere out in the cold again. That's the point of reservations! It's priority! When you do a walk-in, it's a hit-or-miss. It's not that hard to comprehend. I just don't understand people who get mad on things like that. As someone who has done walk-in's plenty of times in the past, I understand that walking in means that one is taking a chance on availability the moment he/she walks into the salon. Hence, why appointments are made versus someone randomly doing a walk-in (during busy/non-busy hours). Based on that, I'm okay with having to wait or else, I'd set up an appointment at another time or day. As for the work they do, they are really great! They are a good team of workers and I'm glad I dropped by to get a pedicure done whenever I can. I've always had pleasant experiences so no complaints here. Sina and Ros are amazing, btw! read more

I typically request an appointment online and despite doing so unless it is early in the morning the appointment always runs much longer than necessary due to how busy they are. I'm not sure if it is due to overbooking or just allowing too many walk-ins, but I have definitely had to wait over 20 minutes for an appointment I made in advanced which is unacceptable. Charming nail is one of the only salons in the area which offers dazzle dry, but the consistency of the service is all over the place. Some technicians follow the dazzle dry procedures perfectly which results in a long lasting manicure, but others don't and my nails chip less than 24 hours after being done. This is frustrating when I'm spending $30 plus tip for something that doesn't last. Especially when I'm getting nails done for a special event. Overall the vibe of the salon is good and the people are nice, but I do hope this lapse in recent service rectifies itself so that I can feel confident in going back.

I've been coming to this salon for months, which is why this experience was especially…read moredisappointing. I spent $130 on my nails in one week after being advised to remove my acrylics and switch to gel on my natural nails instead of getting a fill or new set. I trusted the recommendation, but my nails started breaking the very next day. By the following week, I only had 4 long nails left. I stopped in to show them what happened and explained that switching to gel was the tech's recommendation, not mine. Instead of really addressing the issue, they kept repeating that natural nails are weaker after acrylic removal. The owner told me to come back later and she would fix them. When I returned, she put acrylic back on, meaning I paid to remove them only to need them again days later. If I had been warned this would happen, I never would have agreed to remove the acrylics in the first place. What disappointed me most was believing they were fixing the issue as a courtesy, or at least heavily discounting it since the problem came directly from their recommendation. She even tried to upsell me on chrome during the appointment, which I declined because I didn't want to ask for too much. Then at checkout, I was told the total was $70. After I explained why I was unhappy, I was offered only $20 back in cash. Overall, I'm disappointed with how this was handled. As a regular customer, I expected more accountability and care. If they truly valued customer satisfaction, they could have refunded my card after I refused the $20 and left, but they chose not to.
