Paid to have tub turned into a walk in shower. I have had the Plumer out 3 times. LA CARPET in Corona sales man Jay. They left the tub drain and never replaced it with a shower drain! Shower backs up every time it is used!! No water pressure , they didn't replace plumbing. 30K for a shit remodel!! I would never use this company! Jay promises a good job, but never checks in the work. Worker don't speak English and do very poor and cheap work, when you ask them if they replaced the drain they don't understand what you are saying???Do not use this company in corona or believe Jay about anything. I had a kitchen remodel done with them and had so many problems. First, they charge extra for switch to GFCI outlets and after their installation, the other plugs do not work any more. I call them back to fix and several days later, none of the plugs working any more. I had to spent extra money to get another electrician to fix the problem. Later, the kitchen sink is leaking badly. I have to call my plumber to fix the bad plumbing connection for dishwasher and garbage disposal. They sub-contract out the job and had no control of the quality of the job. Do not use! read more

Horrible Sales Person Was in there this week trying to find carpet. The sales guy was pulling out samples he thought we'd like. I started looking at some nearby and he said "you don't want those they are too expensive". WTF Shouldn't be trying to judge us by what we were wearing on a rainy day. Sales guy comes to my house for a quote. I made it clear when making the appointment that I had a hard stop at such and such time due to a meeting. He arrives 15 minutes before my meeting start and 5 minutes before my call I remind him that we have to cut it short. AS I'M ON THE PHONE starting my work call this person is trying to talk to me and convince me to come outside to take a look at samples in his car. I'm ushering you out of my house while on a call yet you're still trying to talk to me? This is on a Thursday. I text Saturday asking when will I receive a quote. He says no later than 11a Sunday. Sunday evening rolls around, no quote and he doesn't respond to the text message I send that day as a followup even though I can see he read the text message. I text on Monday asking for the quote. "I've been very busy" etc. and promises to send the quote by the evening. He asks if I will drive down to Huntington Beach from Hollywood to take a look at the samples. I tell him the earliest I can do it is Friday but I won't consider it until I get a quote. Tuesday morning: Still no quote. He calls in the late morning asking if I'm going to come down to HB. See paragraph above. Guess who never received a quote. What a joke of a company. read more

Their installation workmanship is terrible. The hardwood they installed in my staircase was done incorrectly then failed to take responsibility for it and now they are coming apart, and I of course will be stuck paying for someone competent to fix the issue and/or have to replace altogether. Beni was the rep. that helped me in my Kitchen and Living Room remodels. She is very good at her job. From the first moment she came to the house, she made measurements, took pictures, facetimed with the contractors, explained the process. I had to work with different companies and I just wished I could've worked with Beni and LA Carpet for everything. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND MONEY!! I purchased white Shaker Style kitchen cabinets from LA Carpet in mid to late February 2021. I'm giving them 1 star on the basis that they offer 3rd party financing. I checked 1 other place that did not have financing--Habitat for Humanity who sell brand new cabinets--LA Carpet was my second so they hooked me with the financing option. The price was comparable as well with Habitat coming in at about 4K + taxes and less sizes available. LAC came in at $4,600 financed out the door and more sizes available. Mind you both of those prices are with no assembly or installation. LAC was charging an additional $2600 for assemble & install. My girlfriend and knew exactly what we wanted. White shaker style cabinets with a pantry, a Lazy Suzan, a spice cabinet, trash bin cabinet, and the uppers and so on. I went 4 months with no cabinets so I knew exactly what I wanted. The sales guy "Tony" seemed like a nice guy. He had the typical sales swag, tone, and demeanor--everything was "the best". Usually I would turn and leave the store but I was there to buy not shop. He showed us a shaker style and we liked it so we decided on that one. We ran the numbers, a little negotiation, I signed the contract and one week later I got the call. "Your cabinets are ready for pick up". The day of the pick up they were shy a few pieces from my order so I called Tony. He said just sign and I'll order you the missing items. I jotted down the missing pieces and signed the pick up bill--the missing pieces were ready for pick up about 3 weeks later. I get home that day and unload. To my surprise the shaker style we agreed to and what I received were not the same. They were slightly different and after borrowing a truck and traveling nearly 100 miles round trip for pick up I was over it. I decided on proceeding with what I got. They were still shaker and nice so I ran with it. What I was never told was the price difference between the two. Tony wouldn't say, even after I asked him. His answer was the typical get out of jail answer,"oh, they're the same price". Yet the day we ordered he said the ones he showed me were of superior quality. Could they be the same price, perhaps, but I highly doubt it. As I was assembling the cabinets I noticed that there were missing brackets and many did not line up to the pre-drilled holes on the plywood. This happened throughout the entire 12 cabinets I built. Some didn't even have pre-drilled holes at all. Missing items is the standard I guess with this factory. I got to the spice cabinet and it came damaged. (See photos of the damage). I called Tony and had him order a replacement. I then had to make that 100 mile round trip again for one cabinet. A week or so later the replacement spice cabinet was ready. Guess what, it was still not 100%. I took delivery anyway because it was something I could fix but it sucks that you pay thousands of dollars for shady work. I continued with assembling the cabinets and had almost all of them assembled except for the 30" Lazy Susan. I took a weekend off. Frustrated and tired I needed a breather. I jumped back on the assembly when I came back home. I opened the Lazy Susan box, laid out all the pieces and sure enough...another dumb mistake. The factory packed two right side walls instead of a left and a right. These sides are not interchangeable because of the toe kick cutout and the rabbits that hold the base. It was 8pm and I was LIVID! Traveling 100 miles for these things is no picnic. My time is more valuable than anything. Not only did I have to make the trip to the warehouse again but I had to go see Tony in Huntington Beach to explain it, in the rain! I spoke to him on the phone and sent photos and he still didn't get it. I picked up the replacement that same day and it was almost correct. The pre-cut cutouts on the frame that accommodate the door latches was cut too high leaving the swivel door too high up. Here we go again. At this point I wanted nothing to do with LAC and if you haven't gathered it by now, I DON'T RECOMENDED THEM AT ALL! Building your own would have been easier at this point. I had to saw off about 1.25 inches from the finished face frame. This is the face you see when it's installed so careful or you'll find yourself staring at your mess F-O-R-E-V-E-R. (Photos attached as well). Lastly I ordered and paid extra for roll out shelves for the pantry and my 30" cabinet lower. Those were the missing pieces at pick up. Because of this I now have to line up the brackets perfectly and drill holes to accommodate the brackets that have small notch on the rear. I could almost bet that if the order was properly taken and processed I would not be having to do this nonsense. This is what $4600.00 gets you in SoCal folks. read more
