Reza was very helpful & gave us good recommendations from the Huntington Beach showroom. He really helped bring the bathroom that we had envisioned into reality. There were a few hiccups on the way though & you really have to monitor the work being done very closely. Ultimately, we were very happy w/ the end result so I gave a generous 5 stars since the end result was just PERFECT! We redid our master bathroom completely. We used LA Carpet to remodel two bathrooms and replace upstairs flooring. Beni worked with us on this project. We are very happy how it turned out. Beni kept the project on schedule even though we asked for a shorter time window to complete. She was very supportive since day one. She was super helpful and patient during the entire process. We had our floors done about 2 years ago with luxury vinyl planks from LA Carpet. After about the first year (as you can see in the photos) the floors started lifting and coming up in multiple places. I called towards the end of August 2019 for an appointment as we have a "Lifetime Installation Guarantee." They were about 3 weeks out from someone able to come out to inspect from the LA Carpet team. A very nice gentleman came out and agreed it was an installation issue. It took me another 3 weeks after he came out, calling 1-3 times per week to reach Hortencia with customer service. She let us know that we now need a rep of the manufacturer to come out as it "may not be an installation issue." The manufacturer rep came out rather quickly, agreed it was an installation error. Again, I was back chasing down the LA Carpet team calling 1-3 times per week with no response. Finally, I get ahold of Hortencia again, they now want to send an independent 3rd party out. A gentleman comes out, very nice, does not give us any verbal confirmation of the issue as he said it will be in his report. We never saw the report. Again, we are chasing down LA carpets to get a response after the 3rd rep came to our house. During this time, I call 2 or 3 of their stores, speak with Jamal, a marketing manager, another store manager, etc. All were extremely nice, but let me know they only have 1 customer service team member, Hortencia, and that she is the only person that can help me and she will follow up. We are now in December 2019 and January of 2020, 4-5 months later. I am back calling 1-3x per week, I was lucky enough to get Hortencia on the phone. We are approved for new flooring, and they would like to replace our floors Monday. Of course, I happen to be traveling for work that week. They also now recommend that we pick out a different type of flooring as it "might have been the type of material." The next day, we rush over to their Huntington Beach location to pick out another luxury vinyl plank product by a different brand, much thicker and the sales rep assures us this is the perfect material. There is a $1,400 difference (up sell) in materials that we chose, which is fine, but I refused to pay until after the floors were installed. They installed the floors, again, I was out of town for work and had someone stay at the house. Within hours of them finishing, I am getting repeated calls from Hortencia asking for payment and if we are happy with the floors. I let her know I need to get home to see them in person and will give her a call. I get home to find their are gaps and cracks between the walls and the new product (see photos). I call her, funny enough she picks up the first time I call her, did not take me 1-3x a week, for 3-4 weeks this time. I let her know the issue, she asks to send someone out and says she will call me back with times. Again, I was out of town and told her I would call her back when I am back in town. I am sure she called me about 1 or 2 times a day until I was back from my work trip. Funny, I could not get ahold of you from Aug 2019 - Dec 2019, now in January you call me everyday, twice a day? I call her when I am back and pick a 9am-11am window, of course they are about an hour late, the gentleman was extremely nice and helpful, lets me know the floors do need to be redone in places, again. We are now in February 2020. I have called Hortencia and left messages with customer service 3-5 more times, letting her know my travel/work schedule and how absolutely ridiculous this situation is. I have not heard back. Glad I did not pay the $1,400 upfront or this company would have scammed me out of more money. At this point, not sure I will ever get my floors completed or a response. I would NEVER use this company as they have the worst service and are extremely unresponsive. read more

Well, we went to LA Carpet because Tony had come to our home and given us a review of our kitchen remodel and he told us an estimate of how much it would cost. We saw 3 other companies and decided to go with LA Carpet in Huntington Beach- well- we made a mistake! Dont get me wrong, they have a lot of materials and a very nice store. But when we got there to meet with Tony, I noticed his desk was a total mess! Papers and materials everywhere! It was a red light for sure. We overlooked it. So he was nice and all but, we spoke about things we wanted and he did not "write" them down on the plan and so when it came to asking for those things, he said "oh that was not in the plan, you need to pay extra for it" which was very upsetting because we clearly spoke to him on what needed to be done. Another thing- communication with him and his so called "crew" with us was TERRIBLE to say the least! We had to call every week to find out when the next guys was coming, when the glass cabinets where going to be installed (which, by the way, where being shipped from another country and he never EVER told us that!) he mentioned there were 5 other families who were also waiting on cabinets and so, I can just imaging the dissatisfaction of it all. The Hispanic crew that came to work in our home were very respectable men and women and they worked well. But Tony and two other men who were also Persian and/or middle eastern were not good to work with at all! And sometimes we would call Tony to ask questions and he would say "I have no one to work tomorrow so I won't be in the office" really??! And you're the "manager"?? Come on! Anyways- long story short- DONT GO WITH THIS PARTICULAR BRANCH!! They lie and they have horrible communication and they charge you for things that were NOT discussed at the signing of the contract- so make sure you always ALWAYS know what you are signing. I am pregnant, I have toddler, they told us the kitchen would be done in no more than week and a half, maybe 2 and it took them over 3 weeks!! It was horrible and we will NEVER... ever again go here or advice anyone to do so! So..... YOU'VE BEEN WARNED..... read more

Ugh. Zero Stars. I can't say enough bad things about this place. Had someone come out to measure and then had to spend a miserable afternoon at their location looking at samples while receiving the full "used-car salesman" approach from their salesman. That's not the worst part.... After deciding to go with another company simply because we liked the carpet better, the prices were reasonable, etc. I was harassed by the salesman to the point we were yelling at each other, but wait it gets worse... The scumbag actually had the audacity to call me prejudice, implying that I wasn't buying carpet from him because of his nationality or some other unfathomable reason. I was so incredibly offended that I hung up. Don't go there, don't call them, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. AVOID! read more

I had a very favorable experience with LA Carpet. I worked with Fred and he always made sure that my needs were met. Redoing your flooring can be stressful because it can effect the overall value of you home. Fred was very patient with me. Due to extenuating circumstances, it took a very very long time for me to make my move. He was there whenever I had a question or concern. I am totally thrilled with my tile and laminate. In addition, the installer Valentin was awesome. He was very polite and his workmanship is off the charts. I have already recommended Fred to my brother and my neighbor. I highly recommend LA Carpet. The older man opening up the store is very rude and discriminative. This guys swings out his doors to open up first thing in the morning and hits me with the door. I told him "oh excuse me" and he said "yea you're in my way"! I expressed to him how rude that was and to just say excuse me next time. He told me "its my place of business, I do what I want here"! I pretty much told him, he lost a customer that fast. He blatantly said "you don't look like you can afford anything here"! My first thought was, is it because Im black?! I refuse to believe this guy was having a bad day because his words were too intense for someone he doesn't know. I let him have it about his attitude and made damn sure this Yelp review was created. Great selection, persistent (but not obnoxiously so) salespersons. Yes, they tried to steer me directly to hardwoods when I had specifically requested Pergo, but I did find the perfect Pergo product. I liked it so much, I doubled the installation area from what I had originally intended to replace. The installation (on 10/27/12) was perfect; but it was the next AM when I realized that I had NOT been provided with ANY replacement boards (despite having promised some) nor even a small (4"x4") sample so I could shop for paint without needing to bring home 200 sample chips: they had taken away ALL of the product. Not what I had been promised by Jamal (my sales person). No one is picking up the phone as I type this: If I cannot reach anyone (and I now they are open on Sundays), i will need to drop in tomorrow after work, which they will NOT appreciate) - after exceeding my budget by $2000, if I cannot quickly get this straightened out , my rating drops to 1 star. Stay tuned. AND, YOU STAYED TUNED. YIPPIE! Read on . . . Okay, it is now Monday (10/29). I WAS able to reach Jamal by phone later on Sunday, and all of the problems appear to now be in the process of being 100% straightened out. SO, from 3 stars I advance my rating up to 4 stars; when I get the M.I.A. materials (which have been promised to be at my door within the next 48 hours or so: Jamal was quite apologetic that the installers had not left any of the remaining stock behind with me), I will then re-up my rating to 5 stars: the flooring looks beautiful. No hard feelings, just a little bump in the road, and I truly expect to give a 5-star rating within a few days from now when I am expecting to go look for wall paint with my floor sample in hand. Great installment job (and, yes, my dogs did put the product to the "test"; the Pergo survived with flying colors). AND, FOR MY LATEST UPDATE . . . I am pleased to advance my rating to 5 stars. Jamal was able to get extra boards for me (he told me that his conversation with the service division was somewhat loud) and the left-overs were at my front door when I arrived at home. Jamal even phoned me that evening to make sure I was satisfied. Golly, a salesperson who is actually on the customer's side! Kudos to Jamal! It's been a few days, and I'm even more pleased with the results. It may have taken a few days and used up a bunch of my T&T minutes, but I did get everything that I wanted, including a great looking flooring treatment. AND, THEN A slight disappointment, but I was able to get it all straightened out to my satisfaction. I had granite installed in my kitchen (one color was on sale, so I took the plunge); however, the "sample" that the workers left weighs about 12 pounds and is difficult to carry around as I look for paint chips to match. In addition, the stainless steel sink (provided for free and not too attractive, but I dislike stainless steel) was NOT installed and the plumber charged me over $168 to secure it, install the faucet, and I even had to make a quick run to Ace Hardware to replace the parts that the granite installers took with my old porcelain sink when they carted that away. To LA Carpet's credit, I was given a credit when I took the plunge and ordered one more job from them: a tile back splash. However, when I hired LA Carpets for a third job, installing a splash back, I was less than amused when, AFTER I wrote a check for the deposit, I was informed that the job (which was quoted at roughly $750 due to the rather expensive tile that, my mistake, I fell in love with) did not include the cap stones, which would run me another $250 dollars. Honestly, a $2,250 addition to my budget? Luckily, at this time LA Carpet's Service Division phoned me, was rather surprised that the sink was not in place when the granite was installed, and they agreed to include the cap stones at no further cost to me. I felt it was a fair exchange (and I didn't have to hop up and down in their showroom to express my dislike). Additionally, at my request, a new worker was provided to install the tile (after the floor and sink-less installation, which were done by the same crew despite me being told that different crews had different specialties), I wanted someone else to perform the work - and LA Carpets did provide a different worker [Benson was very good; not perfect, but very good] . In short, there were a few bumps in the road, but the final product looks very good. I would recommend them, but I have decided to purchase my new cabinets through Home Depot. If you have the temperament to insist upon getting what you want, the final results are well worth whatever frustration you may encounter. read more

Where do I start! Ok, the installers showed up on time and were all business, they were very respectful and by the time they were done you could not tell they had just carpeted 5 rooms. No mess, no fuss, just awesome! From the first text to set up the very first meeting with Melissa to the final point of contact, they were just awesome!!! IMPORTANT NOTE: Keep in mind, if you change your carpet style to a plush pile, you must consider your doors will drag and need trimmed. We did not know that until they started installing. I do not recommend these guys. They lie to you about pricing and keep adding on costs of items. Jamal gave me one price over the phone, then another price in person, then told me about all these "options " when it came time to sign the paperwork. Really! Give a customer a quality product at a good price with good service. My friend ended up having hard wood flooring and carpeting installed by these guys and the finished job was pretty bad. Large gaps of wood at the edges. They banged up his new baseboards as well. They said the carpet guys were pretty rude and left a mess of padding and carpet in his backyard. We have put off replacing our carpeting too long. We finally decided to replace with wood floors. We were so worried about cost and workmanship. First, salesperson, Monti, took lots of time explaining the different grades of flooring. He came to our home twice to insure a good match and exact measurements. The installation was complicated because the space has several curves. The crew was professional beyond belief - hardworking, showed up on time, stayed the entire day - they exceeded our best hopes. Monti showed up EVERY day to insure we were pleased with the installation. What a difference the floor has made to our home. We are now having them put runners up the stairs and down the hall. I have receive communication from LA Carpet. We had discussed the document sent and determined it needed to be revised to include only the damage done to the entertainment center however I have not received the updated version yet. In addition we scheduled one of their installers to come to inspect the seam mentioned which did occur. The installer determined the seam had been overlapped and worked on it to resolve the issue. This installer was pleasant to work with. I am waiting to see if the issue has been addressed. This means I need to give it time to settle in. I can still see the seam however it is not as obvious as it was. The other seams appear to have become much less obvious. Had I not known where the seam is I may not notice it. Time will tell on the repaired seam. read more

If you are thinking to hired construction services from the Huntington Beach location, PLEASE DON'T. Save yourself some headaches. I want to make it clear that as a carpet/flooring company, they might be alright, but as company that offers kitchen remodels, it was the worst experience. Their selling process is similar to other companies. They will come to your house, give you an estimate depending on what you want, and you are set if you like the price. Construction on the other hand was not as good as the salesperson, Tony, (which is the same "construction manager") made it sound. I specially pointed out that I did not want to manage the construction and to please keep communication constant. COMMUNICATION WAS TERRIBLE. Their cabinet guy called me out of the blue one night telling me that they were going to come the next day to do demolition. No warning or time to pack. I talked to the "construction manager" and at least he accepted it was miscommunication from his part, not before letting me know that now my kitchen start date was going to be push back another week. Every step of the way I had to call at least once a week to find out when the next person was going to come and follow up on materials that were wrongly ordered by them. BE AWARE, they will not work with your schedule. You need to be available and accommodate to their days and hours instead. This means, they are running multiple jobs at the same time and will get to yours when they can. So, you can forget about them honoring any timeline for the project finish date. A one week and a half project turned to over 3 weeks. I have a 3-year-old and expecting a second child, even letting them know that would not persuade them to work with our hours. I guess this is a business first, right? If you are inexperienced with remodels, like I was, you may not be aware of some of things that will need updating in your kitchen (water valves, electrical outlets, and switches), and if you have an old kitchen like mine was, you are going to want to update everything. You would expect advise and recommendations from the company you work with for miscellaneous items that could represent an extra cost for you, so that there is some money, included in the cost, for these kinds of things, right? well you will not get it here. All they want is to sign you up. If you do not make a list of every single item that you need to change/update, inclusive of any work that conflicts with their own design, you will get charge for it. if you still want to work with them, MAKE SURE ALL YOU WANT AND THE WAY YOU WANT IT IS INCLUDED in a list when they write the invoice/purchase receipt, because if it is not in paper, it was only discussed, it's like it never happened. I do want to say that they have good prices in material and a good selection to choose from. Also, their construction crews are courteous and professional. If there is an issue, they are not the decision makers, so you need to go to the "manager". At the end of the day, the kitchen turned out well. I would have preferred to work with a company that pays more attention to detail and really is on top of everything, that communicates better and doesn't leave you hanging for days. Again, this is a review for my experience with the Huntington Beach location and it is not intended to describe the entire company. However, I will not do business with them again. read more

We dropped in last December to pick out new carpeting and flooring for our home. Unfortunately the flooring we chose was out of stock and would not be available until March. We proceeded with recarpeting but chose to not do the flooring until we found a product we loved. Months rolled by..... been very busy, and the big box retailers either didn't have a flooring we loved, or their service was so terrible. LA Carpet needs to thank Lowe's in Huntington Beach for screwing up so bad we walked out of the store. Still without new flooring, we decided to go back to LA Carpet and see if the product we originally wanted was in stock. Jamal, our salesman the first time, helped us again and helped us select a beautiful flooring that compliments everything else in our house. Our installer, Gil Rodriguez, was punctual,and thorough. Went the extra mile to clean behind and under our refrigerator before installing, and left our house as clean as when he arrived. And unlike the big box stores, no hidden charges. The price posted was the price we paid. No hidden extras like removal of old flooring, haul away, glue, trim etc. The big box stores show great prices,... until you add in the removal, installation, haul away, padding, mouldings, transition pieces. Don't plan on doing anymore remodeling for several years, but when it comes time, we'll certainly give LA Carpet the first chance to win our business again. read more

Love my flooring to my patio room, it's sooo...beautiful & the workers were fast on getting it done with in a few hours & I was totally impressed on how well it looked good to our room addition, specially my husband was so happy when he got home from work on how it looked, Ted thank you so much for working with us, we got other estimates but LA Carpet was better & totally love the quality & most importantly is the warranty as well & Ted exsplain everything that we wanted to hear, plus he was on top of everything when & if concerns were needed & he was on top of it when the flooring was put in, Ted also gave us and estimate for our in home flooring & gave us a pretty good deal to have 3 rooms done, but at a later date to be continued in my next report to yelp. Let me start with saying the employees there, Jamal snd Rezza were ABSOLUTELY wonderful. Now let me continue with my rant. I had LA Carpet come and install flooring and carpeting in my business. The reason I choose this company to do the job is because of the warranty. WELL WHAT A MISTAKE!!! Less then a year later the floor started to buckle and the carpet started to fray and separate. I called the warranty department atleast 4 times and then resorted to calling the store and luckily Jamal got them to get in touch with me other it would proved futile. Finally they came out and then after a month calling back to find out what there going to do they then said they had to come out again. After 3 more times I'm still waiting to hear from someone and its now been atleast 3 months. As a professional and business owner myself I find this extremely unexceptable. How do they stay in business. Well my advice to anyone looking to do business with this company, heed my warning, it would be a big mistake. Again, the gentleman that I worked with from the store on Edinger were wonderful. It's corporate and the warranty department that I have a serious problem with. LA Carpet installed new carpet, water resistant padding, and tack strips for my home recently. I am extremely pleased as I got one of their best carpets, and it was ordered and installed within a week. Their price was much better than Home Depot or Lowe's who had a lead time of almost 4 weeks. A little over a week ago we met with Andy at LA Carpet in Huntington Beach, he brought sample flooring to our house the next day and we picked out our floor to be installed by them throughout our house. We are extremely pleased with Andy at LA Carpet and their installers. Andy is very professional, but still caring and easy to work with. Their installers did an excellent job and left the house cleaned up and the furniture put back in perfect order. The whole process took less than two weeks from start to finish and we are extremely happy with the finished product. Highly recommend LA Carpete, Andy and their installers. Flooring was defective 1 month after installation. Spent months jumping through hoops between LA Carpet and floor manufacturer. Still waiting. (07/07/17) After refusing to accept any kind of responsibility we had new floors to be installed at their "best price." Well today they came out and ripped out asbestos subflooring throughout the whole house contaminating everything. We now have to stay in a hotel. Take your business elsewhere people. (08/11/17) After months of dealing with customer service, Kathy (customer service head) has contacted us because she had been alerted to this yelp review. She has ensured us that the company is now going to work hard to correct the problems and hardships caused. Our one year old puppy has had to be boarded during this ordeal. I appreciate the effort Kathy has so far shown but cannot understand why it took this long and why it took social media to be treated the way we should have all along. Stay tuned! read more

I Called on L.A. Carpet Again--for Tile Installation When I saw an L.A. Carpet commercial on TV...featuring their ability to install tile...well, I was so happy. Prior to this, L.A. Carpet did an outstanding job installing Luxury Vinyl Tile in my kitchen and two bathrooms. I called the Project Manager, Shirazeh, who returned to my home to measure and write-up my kitchen tile installation. I wanted simple, timeless white Subway tile. In about 2 weeks, two gentlemen came out to my house to install the tile. A representative from L.A. Carpet called me the day before to verify the installers were coming and to assure I'd be home. The installers were Roberto and Otonil, and they were very careful and neat. Their work was impeccable. Also, they cleaned-up the work site completely. The tile work looks exactly like I hoped it would. I learned that Installers work directly for L.A. Carpet as employees; they are not subcontractors. That explains their desire to do the jobs right! You can trust L.A. Carpet and Project Manager Shirazeh to follow-up and be thorough and neat. read more

I cannot edit my original review but wanted to add something VERY, VERY important. As soon as I posted the original review I was called and asked to please take my review down, or at least take out the details and photos. A company that does quality work would never ask a customer to do this, especially when the issues have not yet been resolved. This is probably their ploy and why I thought they were a good choice based on all the good reviews. I am sure I am not the only unhappy customer who has been asked to remove their honest review.Update: 6/30/17, customer service finally agreed to allow another installer do the repairs and I was given an appointment for 6/30. Two men showed up...both were polite and professional and agreed there were a lot of issues that needed to be fixed. The men took notes and lots of photos as they walked through my home and then told me customer service would be in touch to set up an appointment??? I was told by customer service that repairs would be done today. So I took off another whole day of work to do an assessment and for nothing to be repaired. Update: 7/15/17, they came out to do the repairs today, and thank goodness it was on a day off so I didn't lose any more time from work. Farzon (Fred) and Bryan, both were professional and did a good job of fixing someone else's mistakes. It appears that all the major areas needing repair were addressed, except the issue with whatever was done inside the toilet. Customer service said they would have a plumber come out an look at it.There are still areas that I am not happy with the quality of work performed by the original installer, especially where the door frames meet the floors, but I will likely have to call a contractor to have those things addressed. I have two friends who recently had the same type of floors installed and the work was done beautifully in their homes. Save yourself the stress, do not get enticed as I did by the 0% interest for 5 years financing. You will pay for it as I did in lost wages and stress. I live in a town home community and many of my neighbors were interested in new flooring once they saw me getting mine done but I could not in good faith recommend LA Carpet. read more

I unknowingly lost my wallet in the parking lot outside the store. He found it and made all efforts to contact me and ensure it was returned to me with everything still in it. Dealt with this company and they sold us cheap flooring. Our wood floors peeled within months and "bubbled", the carpeting is poor quality and already looks like it's been in the house for ten years (it's only been 3) they did another bad job with installing my base boards. I have a new guy coming to rip everything out and he was shocked at how bad the quality was. Lesson learned....very expensive lesson read more

Wife and I came in after seeing their ad in the oc register. Talked to the first salesperson who came to us, I think his name was henry. Kept talking over us and going through his sales pitch. Wife and I walked out on him mid-sentence. We are not rude people, but I felt like i was in the middle of an infomercial. Btw, as he was talking to us, I could see one of his co-workers in the back smiling. Was i buying carpet or a used car? Henry, was very upset we interrupted his speech and wanted to leave. I don't think henry is a bad guy, I just think he's not a very good salesperson. read more

Henry has no customer service skills. He is rude, negative, and uncooperative. I don't care if he's been doing carpet for 22 years or 22 days. His attitude is repulsive. If the manager's apparent disregard for customer satisfaction is any indication, then I'd wager that the rest of the organization isn't any better. Moreover, he called me a liar and accused me of wasting his time and money. Unbelievable! read more

Henry has to be one of the rudest salesmen out there and we'll never go back. We thought we had found some flooring at their store and wanted to check out a sample overnight. Henry said ABSOLUTELY NOT! and even when promised to check it out at closing and bring it back upon the next morning opening, the answer was again NO and NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. We've check out samples from other stores (Belmont and Michaels) without a problem. These folks only want in your home and are not customer friendly in the least. There are way too many other flooring stores out there and we'll take our business elsewhere. read more

LA carpet was outstanding to work with. Salesman Ron assisted me in the store and patiently waited for me to call him to schedule an in home assessment. I did not feel pressured. The installment was timely and I found the crew to be excellent. Jose worked efficiently and was a good problem silver with entry areas and corners. They took care to protect my furnishings and keep dust to a minimum. They moved and repositioned a concert grand piano, working hard to get it exactly where I wanted it.
