I can't remember her name, but she wore really cool sock shoes. What great service, DELICIOUS FOOD! And great outdoor dining. If you're in the mood for Mexican in Crestline, this is THE PLACE! I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much. But this cool little gem is tucked away just off the beaten path. Unassuming, it had a great vibe and it was very inviting. They're only open Tuesday-Saturday so you have to come by and visit them one of those days because the food was so cheesy, flavorful and their salsa was the best I've ever tried! We ordered the following: Steak Picados: rice was terrible, beans were ok. The Steak had a odd flavor profile. Chicken taco salad: nice and fresh but lacking in flavor. Yumm! This place is pretty small, just 2 rooms but really cute. I got the steak burrito and added chile verde sauce on top, so good! My fiancé got the ranchero burrito with chicken and really liked that too. Chips were nice and fresh. This was our first time here and we will be back! FYI parking lot is pretty small. read more

Lived in Crestline from 1987 to 2009 and had been to La Casita many times in the past. I had read original owner's daughter had re-opened the restaurant but hadn't been. Pleasantly surprised by changes made, especially the patio! And, the menu has lighter options in addition to traditional choices. Loved the chicken fajita salad! Will be back!! read more

The food is great, authentic and served by awesome people. You're always greeted with a smile and they do what they can to seat you quickly. My only problem was that they don't seem to add enough salt to the food. I almost thought I had the COVID because my dish was so bland I started thinking I was loosing my sense of taste. No, a little salt fixed it all! I'm very glad this is a neighborhood fixture and that they make such an effort. The two margaritas I've had here were awesome and I highly recommend them. read more

This place is cute. It reminds me of someone's house. The decor is very inviting and has a charm to it. We walked in for dinner and we're pretty early for a dinner service so we were able to get seated very quickly. The service was top notch. Attentive and friendly. The food was pretty good. Can't say enough good things. I know I complained the portion sizes last time but this time everything was on par. My husband's burrito was huge and flavorful. My nachos were delicious with no sign of sogginess like I found with other establishments. My son's kids meal of a cheese quesadilla with rice beans and lettuce was the perfect size for him. (He's six) Our server was an angel and rolled with the punches when it came to my overly rambunctious son. 10 thumbs up for this experience. read more

Tucked off the beaten path, La Casita is an absolute Crestline gem! The feel is quaint and homey, nothing like your typical Mexican restaurant. The margaritas are darn near perfect, super slushy and the right ratio of ingredients. We were impressed with the fresh and greaseless chips, and the guacamole with the perfect ting if lime. Our dinners (a #2 combo of two beef enchiladas, the Chimichanga and a Taco Salad) we're beyond delicious - it was the best Mexican meal we've had on the Mountain in years. More importantly, the staff is extremely attentive: never did our glasses run dry, nor did we need for anything. Other restaurants should take note - this is how customer service should be. read more

Excellent!! My family had a cabin here back in the 90s. Sometime during those years we ate here. I couldn't tell you what I had but I remembered that it was a cute little place. Fast forward to.....20 something years later and my boyfriend and I rented a cabin up here for his bday. Our cabin had been sold for 10 plus years. Crestline always has a place in my heart. We decided to eat here for dinner tonight. The place is still small and cute. We were 2 out of 4 ppl in the joint. Hope our server was great! The food was delicious! My husband and I come here about twice a month and the food is absolutely delicious. They open at 5:00 pm and if you aren't already parked and waiting before then good luck getting a table! They do turn the tables fast so there usually isn't a long wait. I want to give a shout out to our server tonight, Shawn (Sean) who was absolutely a gem!! I went in for dinner with a group of friends to celebrate the life and times of a dear friend who had passed away the day prior. Having eaten a Bacon Cheeseburger earlier in the day (which I was still a little full from), I didnt want to go too crazy with something like a Chimichanga. I opted for the Taco Salad. I just have to say that I havent had fresh ingredients in a restaurant since.........well....ever really. The sour cream was nice and cold. Not cool, COLD! The veggies were crisp, and the taco bowl wasnt overly fried or oily. I polish the taco salad off after slaying the chips and salsa when the girl serving us (I want to say the new owner?) asked us if we wanted dessert. I took a deep breath (bigger guys will understand), thought about it for I'd say the duration of said breath and gave in. I asked my friend "Dude, what's good here?", he came back at me with the fried ice cream. *Fireworks* *Explosions* *Erupting Volcano* *An Eagle soaring* Oh my Jesus, this has to be the best......and I do mean best fried ice cream "In the World" (read in Jeremy Clarkson's voice). The coconut was roasted to perfection. Man, just writing this a tear just rolled down my cheek. You've got to make the trek up the mountain to try this. I do recommend getting a hotel room near by, I was fighting off my food coma as I rolled my fatass down the mountain. 5/5 for this restaurant. read more

When you spend time in a little community in the mountains near a lake, you are at the mercy of the limited selection in the sleepy little town. Luckily you can find a place like this with sweet waitresses a friendly owner and Mexican food that puts the greater majority of taquerias in Los Angeles. I would come here again... I love this place! Best Mexican on the Mountain. We have a weekend house in Arrowhead and usually go to La Casita on Friday nights.
