Got tacos here for the first time, the carne asada was really good, I also had pollo asado and it was alright, my wife had adobada she said it was okay. I was also missing one carne asada. Will come back but just for the carne asada, not bad though for $1.50 w/everything

So after picking up food here countless times for family, I finally decided it was my turn to see…read morewhat all the hype was about. Every time I'm in Little Italy, there's always a line, and I've often wondered, "Is this chicken really that good?" Well...today I found out! The menu offers plenty of tempting options, but I kept it simple with the 3-piece chicken meal, which came with a choice of fries or vegetables, a drink, and a giant chocolate chip cookie. You can also add extra chicken tenders for just $2.50 each, which is a great deal if you're extra hungry. Everything came out fresh to order. The chicken was hot, crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor, while the fries were perfectly hot and crispy. One thing I really liked was their unique soda fountain with several cream soda flavors, lemonade, and tea options. And let's talk about that cookie--it was huge, warm, loaded with chocolate chips, and topped with a light sprinkle of salt that made it even better. The dipping sauces definitely deserve their own shout-out. The pineapple mustard sauce was unlike anything I've had before--sweet, tangy, and incredibly addictive. I also loved the smoky barbecue sauce, which paired perfectly with the chicken. Customer service was another highlight. Everyone greeted us with a smile and patiently answered our questions. I could tell one of the cashiers was still learning, but what stood out was how supportive the rest of the team was. One of the employees was bouncing between helping customers, answering menu questions, recommending popular items, and assembling orders in the back without missing a beat. I always appreciate seeing genuine teamwork, and you could tell everyone was working together to make sure customers had a great experience. The atmosphere was just as enjoyable as the food. I loved the laid-back "shack" vibe with the covered outdoor patio, bar area, picnic tables, and even a cornhole setup off to the side. Music was playing, creating a fun atmosphere, and once the evening cooled down, the overhead heaters made the patio feel extra cozy. There was plenty of seating, making it a great place to hang out and enjoy your meal. Needless to say, I can finally understand why there's almost always a line here. I'm honestly wondering why I waited so long to try it for myself! I'll definitely be back, and next time I'm giving one of their chicken sandwiches a try. As always...I don't gatekeep--I just put you on game! If you're ever in Little Italy, do yourself a favor and stop by. If you're a fan of great chicken tenders, delicious sauces, and a fun atmosphere, this place is absolutely worth checking out. You can thank me later.

The chicken sandwich was crunchy and flavorful, but it was not spicy one bit. I believe that the restaurant should allow its customers to choose a spice level. That is the point of the hot chicken, but it was still perfectly enjoyable. The great thing is that they are not stingy with the sauces and have a sauce bar where you are not handcuffed to small packets of sauce you get elsewhere. If you want to watch a game and grab a drink too, they have a bar area and they also have a small area where kids can play. Definitely a great spot.

My friends and I were just looking to get a coffee in Little Italy, but when we walked in and saw all the delicious treats we had to try something else as well. I ordered a latte and neglected to tell them it was for here so I was given a paper cup, but they give real cups if you ask. The latte was good, and my friend bought a kitchen sink type cookie with chocolate, coconut, and macadamia nuts. It was warm and gooey good! Another friend tried the gelato and said it was very good. There are a few tables inside and tables out in front outside. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful San Diego weather. The decor and tables definitely gives you an old school Italian neighborhood vibe with Italian markets right next door. If I am in the neighborhood again, I would definitely come back here to try the gelato and/or a piece of an excellent looking lemon pie bar I spotted.

It was later in the day so they were out of or running low on some flavors. Nevertheless, the two flavors we tried were incredibly rich and flavorful. A little goes a very long way. Parking is incredibly tough in Little Italy but it is worth it for gelato this good.

The menu was a bit confusing, but I know that I like grilled veggies and Greek salad and then Ike was able to pick my protein that I wanted so that seemed easy enough. The base price with falafel or chicken Shawarma was Close to $16 but since I chose the meat, they added two dollars to my total. It took about 10 minutes for them to assemble my meal, but my veggies were cooked fresh on the stove, which was really nice. They tasted very freshly cooked just as they would as if I had cooked them myself at home. I was there about 1245 on a Monday and there were a few people there and they had some takeout orders so my order took about 10 minutes before I could walk out the door with it. They had a nice condiment bar where you could pick out some yogurt with dill sauce and then they're famous garlic yogurt sauce, as well as a jalapeño sauce And another spicy hot one that I would never try. When I got back to the jury room to eat my meal, I saw that there was a nice quantity of the fresh salad and the grilled vegetables but the meat was piled high! The employees were working efficiently and the place was spotless and orderly.

We put baby in high chair although baby kept trying to eat the table. We got our usual favorites (warm lobster rolls, clam chowder bowls, fried oyster, and fried clam belly). Surprisingly the clam belly was full of sand this time! Must not have soaked in water long enough, but when we told our server they swapped it out immediately. We substituted one of our coleslaw for potato salad, and one of our fries for onion rings. We definitely will continue doing so because it is nice to try out so many different dishes! As always, order the fries well-done for nice crispy fries. It's still on our to-do list to try the chicken parmesan since we've heard so many good things about it, but I really do like my Must Order dishes (listed below). Must Order (in order of ranking): - Clam chowder bowl - Warm lobster roll - Fried oysters - Fried scallops - Fried clam belly - Fried clam strips - Crab roll Pass: - Fish and chips - Calamari

Lobster roll (warm): It felt like a good amount of lobster, but the soggy roll ruined it for me. I couldn't even pick it up without the whole thing falling apart. The flavor was there but that soggy roll ruined it. Seafood platter: They said it was a plate for two, but I don't know about that. It was nice to try a variety of different seafood. Most of it was good but the fish needs to be firmer. It just fell apart and I wasn't used to that kind of texture. We sat outside in the patio area since inside seemed pretty busy. Service was quick and friendly.
