O la la, this place hit the spot! My boyfriend was craving some tacos but the spot he wanted wasn't opened yet. He had been wanting to try this place out so we ventured off and we are so glad we did. Parking: there's a lot as well as street parking around the corner. Ordered at the window and was given a number card to place on our table - seat yourselves y'all! We got the al pastor, chicken, and carne asada tacos; the al pastor was definitely our favorite!! It was just so much more tasty but I think we're also biased since we generally like al pastor more, hah. The chicken and carne asada were ok, could've used a touch more seasoning and the meat were a tiny bit dry. The tortillas were delicious though! You can tell they were handmade. We shared a chuper mango margarita and it was ok. I understand why other yelpers may say their drinks tasted "watered" down - we could barely taste the alcohol, but for whatever it's worth it wasn't overly sweet or doused with chamoy like I've seen other places do and it was still refreshing nonetheless. They also make their margs here with agave wine tequila?? I'm not sure if that has anything to do with how strong or not the alcohol is supposed to taste. Shrug. We ended up getting a chuper white claw and that was delicious! I refuse to drink white claws in any other fashion moving forward LOL the chamoy and chili seasoning made it taste like a Mexican candy and I'm obsessed!! Service: the lady behind the register was pretty chill, she took our order and gave us some recs. The guy who was bussing tables was doing WORK though. He brought out our food, made sure we had ample napkins and was constantly taking anything we had finished off our table. Kudos! The only thing that remotely bothered me were the amount of flies that started pestering us since we decided to sit outside. Nachos were huge! Came here on a Wednesday night and with an hour away from closing. The energy is great. I tried the Mango Michelada and it was good. I really like how much stuff they add to it. There is some spice to it so drinking it slow might help. I docked down points because one of the workers that is lead on turning on the heaters took so long to turn a heater as a request on. He was supposed to turn it on as we heading to sit by a recommended heater that he moved us to. But instead of turning on the heater, the worker was talking to all tables nearby. After friendly reminding him about the request twice, he didn't budge. Towards as everyone left, then he asked us to move to a heater that was already on. I have mixed reviews. The staff was friendly and efficient. They smiled and made small talk. The woman at the register was patient and made recommendations. Im giving 3 stars for an amazing staff But only 1 star for cleanliness, maintenance, and overall interior appearance. The drinks are well put together, and fun to look at. The makeshift patio; put together with pallets and lights is a cute reminder of the resilience we've had to maintain during these ever-changing times. However, upon entering the building to use the restroom, i was at a loss for words (which ill manage to find momentarily ) I couldn't believe what i was seeing. The photos speak for themselves. A few things to consider prior to going to La Chuperia. Service was good. Food good, nothing unique. Only beer and a few mixed drinks available, no wine. Overpriced for what you get. We thought we paid too much for what we got. Once we came home and added up the bill (we should have done this at the place) we noticed a few things. There is an additional charge if you use your card. It's like a cash total and a card total, which we never seen. The total did not add up, we were charged more than the actual cost. I have mixed feelings about this place, so let's get down to it. We came during a dodger game so it was pretty packed with people watching the game. Had never been here before, so my party of 7 each got a different drink so what we could try everything. The micheladas are outstanding, but at $14-$20 each they empty your wallet QUICK. We were interested in the nachos and the cashier said we should order two since one "feeds 3 people" , we opted for one, and it was HUGE. I don't know what 3 people would finish a nacho plate that gigantic, but 7 of us could barely finish the nacho platter. Food was decent but not restaurant level. I disliked that the meat on the nachos was cold, it had probably been sitting for a while. The DJ that night was sad. He kept changing the songs the crowd wanted to hear, changed songs mid way, repeated songs. Honestly, I would have rather kept the jukebox going (TouchTunes). I never got to hear my song because they cut the jukebox off at 10pm. Service was great, setup is a little different you order everything at the bar and they come bring it to you. We ended up tipping the person that brings out drinks because they were consistently cleaning the table for us. Overall I liked the michelada and will be back when I'm in the mood for one, but will immediately switch to beer to control my spending. Food is good enough to try but I would primarily recommend coming for the drinks after dinner elsewhere. For the Owner: Your menu needs a revamp. It's hard to read it in the dark, you can't use gold cursive on a black background when the inside is really dark. Simple is better, we're just trying to spend money and the quicker I can read the menu the faster I can order. Last thing is please get better quality napkins we found ourselves using a TON because one wipe and they were toast. read more

The place looks small but when you walk in and go all the way down look to your right. There is a much bigger open space that I never knew about. It is sort of outdoors. It's inclosed but it's still outdoors. Everyone tends to stay in the small area where the bar is. There is a few stools at the bar and next to it a few tables where you can stand up. There are also a couple tables where you can sit down. To be honest the best spot is the one that is hidden. They also have games like Jenga and the big jenga too. Oh, I forgot to mention their nachos! They are so good! I mean they are amazing! They are also huge you can probably share with 4 people. Make sure to ask everything that's inside of them because it does come with a lot but I think they are perfect. They have complementary valet parking which is awesome!
