They didn't have scoops available for my favorite--their yogurt (plain), but no problem, because they had it in a pint which I grabbed from their fridge! They do have the yogurt lemon cookie for scoops though, which is also very good! This place can be easy to miss if you're just walking by, so take my word for it and try this place out! As for us, we enjoyed our scoop of Jasmine gelato paired with a scoop of Espresso Crunch. Unlike most gelatos that we've tried, LCL's take on gelato here is much more airy and less fatty (read no "cheese pull" stretch on this here like the others. Hmm.. La Copa Loca in Noe is a fantastic, family friendly gelato spot. They have a bright lively space with lots of seating inside, a cute bench outside for outdoor seating, and they have board games to enjoy with your sweet treat. They make gelato in house and it's delicious. My go-to is the pistachio, but they have gelato and sorbets for everyone! They sometimes do a seasonal flavor as well. I like the service a lot, they're always so nice. They're open later especially weekends so it's worth a trip down to support local! They have a nice deli fridge full of their own pints, sometimes I grab one to go, the quality is still fantastic. They were so nice to let me bring my dog inside (not a service animal), we came in for cups of ice cream to go for a walk so we were in and out quick. La Copa Loca's second location in the city opened over a month ago (original in The Mission). I drive through Church street on a regular basis and didn't noticed they were there (found them on my yelp nearby feed). Another customer who lives nearby told the cashier she only found out about them from her neighbor. I hope they get better signage or add a "grand opening" banner to get more people in. Back to Church again. La Copa Loca ( Spanish translation: The crazy cup) has been around for years in the Mission serving desserts and their specialty gelato in San Francisco . They have expanded with another location in Noe Valley on Church street in San Francisco. The Mission location of La Copa Loca is a staple but has more of a Mission Folklore vibe and also has a well established neighborhood following. La Copa Loca at their new location on Church street has more of a modern neighborhood vibe of Noe Valley. The Noe Valley location has a similar menu but is more spacious and has more tables to enjoy the gelato and play board games. I got the French Vanilla and the Passion Fruit gelato .The French Vanilla was tasty not too sweet and the Passion fruit was tangy and delicious. Then I got the namesake " La Copa Loca" crepe which had Strawberry jam( my jam), fresh strawberry, kiwi & banana, honey and added the pistachio ice cream. The outside of the crepe was savory and soft and the inside was pretty sweet and yummy. The crepe absorbs and puts together the different sweet juicy fruit flavors as the pistachio gelato in the mix gives it a savory taste. The Noe Valley location is consistent with La Copa Loca at the Mission location. A good place to get the scoop in Noe Valley. I cannot speak for service or ambiance but I can for the Dubai chocolate strawberry crepe and a strawberry marmalade crepe. My girlfriend had the dubai chocolate strawberry crepe which was not bad, good flavor and toppings, the creoe was just a little cold. The marmalade crepe I had was just not good. I don't know if the marmalade or the chocolate was bitter but they did not mix well, and my crepe was cold as well. I'll try something else next time my girl wants the dubai chocolate crepe, and I encourage to give this place a try as they have plenty of other options to try! read more

I came here to use the restroom before driving home to South Bay from Noe Valley. Good thing the gelato was good! Bought a scoop in a cup of the mint for around 4 dollars. This is my new go-to! We ordered the concha ice cream sandwich with rum raisin ice cream and it was AMAZING! They press the concha so it's nice and flat with the ice cream, but also warms the concha at the same time. It also was not too sweet or too filing either. It was a perfect summertime treat. The place has a variety of gelato flavors, including many tropical fruits. They taste genuine, fresh, and fruity. The owner was very generous, allowing us to sample the assorted and exotic flavors.
