Another sweet with some sour. To be fair, 2.5 star review. I have visited LDVS twice, on separate occasions, both with coupons. One was a from a local Long Beach event promo and another was the Livingsocial 90minute massage deal others have spoken of. I was interested in LDVS because it's literally right around the corner from my home. Who doesn't want a spa in their backyard?! I remember being taken aback by the approach of the person on the phone when I scheduled my first appointment. She actually put me on hold, and clicked back to the other line, leaving me there for a good few minutes before coming back. It was the owner. I set up my appointment for a facial and when I arrived was pleased with my surroundings. That was quickly diminished when I saw a dog come waddling out. That same dog sat in the room during my facial. I don't have anything against dogs, and even though the owner says the dog is a trained "therapy dog," I prefer them not in places where I do business. Since when did Long Beach become so posh that you can have a dog in every business? Thanks, but no thanks. I come to relax, not have pets present. Chatty Cathy is a completely appropriate title for the owner. She's nice, but talks way too much about herself or her thoughts and opinions or just general information. My entire facial was clouded with her chatting. I really didn't enjoy it. When I called to use my Livingsocial coupon, I was not even given an option for the facial and was immediately scheduled for the massage. I didn't mind too much because I needed the massage after having a succession of runs completed. The owner told me to come early so I could use the jacuzzi, but when I arrived early there was reservation and I was told it was cloudy because she had gotten in it with sandy feet. I just didn't understand. Why tell me to use it if it's not ready? The backyard is really nice and has a great set up, and while I did go in the jacuzzi for a little bit, it was just OK. I began to wonder if the dog had been in it because of the smell of the water, but it could have been a mix of sand in it that caused it. I had my 90 minute massage which was more of rubbing than massaging and left me wishing for something more. The woman even had me sit up at the end so she could rub my back more, which I have never had in the history of the tons of massages I've gotten. She did a lot of the same movements over and over and not a lot of direct massage work. My massage was tainted by the people walking and talking through the hallway... a man who I can only guess was the owner's boyfriend who I too have seen lingering before. The conversations were casual and loud, forgetting it was a spa. When I asked the original price of the 90 minute massage so I could tip accordingly, the owner guessed at it, throwing out an arbitrary number, which struck me as odd. I tipped and that was that. Even with coupons I can't say that I'll be back. I just prefer a different environment. It seems the owner functions on the idea that this place is like a home to all who enter, but it's a bit too casual for my liking. read more

Took my hubby here for his birthday treat for couple massage. What a disappointment. Place was small. Does not live up the name Spa. Was not what we expected. There's no room for you to change or clean up after our oil massage. We thought a spa means they will provide you with towels or something u can changed into before your massage. Nope! The 2 massage therapists that worked on us didn't seems to be professional trained. The pressure was wrong, the movement was wrong, didn't hit the right spot. It was not a relaxing comfortable experience. I bought the package from Loving Social and wanted to give him a nice pamper. What a disappointment, and we drove an hour in traffic for this crap. I read all the reviews before I bought the package still couldn't save me from making the wrong purchase. We go to massages once a week at our local foot massage polar. I read the reviews before coming here and most were mixed, so I figured why not give it a shot? Biggest mistake of my life. I got the Groupon with the 2 hour outdoor couples massage, but opted to do it indoor because the weather. I brought my sister with me as a gift before her wedding. We also changed the jacuzzi soak to a scrub instead because it was super hot. In the beginning I thought, oh great, they're really accommodating so I was really optimistic about our appointment. When we went into the room and laid on the table, that was when they lost their first star. The towels smelled like old dingy towels... the towels that you wash and leave in the washer for a while and then dry it days later because you forgot it in the washer at all smell. - Right now they're at 4 stars. My massage therapist was very nice, but when I asked her to add my pressure she quickly obliged, but did not deliver. I asked multiple times. - Lost their second star. We moved onto the scrub, which was nice. They didn't lose a star here. We washed off in their "dressing room" which was interesting, then we were escorted back to the front to have some light snacks. The snacks consisted of strawberries and whipped cream, and 2 glasses of Moscato. We had a couples facial after the massage, and we were really excited about it. I was going to give them a star back until 2 people walked in to make a reservation. Before they walked in the aesthetician greeted us and told us to follow her to the room. She quickly ignored us midway to assist the new guests - which was fine but she could have said, OH, GIVE ME ONE SECOND AND I'LL ESCORT YOU TO THE ROOM - instead of just letting us stand their like dumbos. Our facials were so stupid. One hour of NOTHING. I was so mad when she finished. She literally just WASHED MY FACE. There was no extractions. Nothing. DO NOT GO TO PAMELA. I demanded to speak to the manager and she said that she wasn't there. Pamela explained to me that washing my face was a facial. NO HONEY. NO. When I finally got on the phone with the owner of the spa, she explained to me that some people like different types of facials and that Pamela probably wanted to give me relaxing facial. She also said next time I can ask for a specific kind. UM, sorry. If there were "relaxing" facials VS whatever you think a facial should be, you should have specified that when I booked the reservation for it. I received a refund for $89. I should have received a refund for the whole terrible event. I WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD. Don't waste your time and money on this place. This spa needs to improve, they are looking to be something and they haven't gotten there yet. The massage itself was 6 out of 10, the vicinity was a 3 out of 10. Entrance/Waiting Room: I didn't want to sit on the thrift shop looking couch. Their two person bar (in everyone's photos), faces a street window with sheer curtains and while we sipped our champagne, our lovely view was a homeless person with their b#tt crack showing sorting through their cart! The staff was friendly but carried on loud conversations in the tiny waiting room - not a spa like environment. The small nail room right off the waiting room is separated by a sheer curtain so you can hear the people's conversations in there too. The massage room: The table creaked the entire massage (metal leg tables). The person who got me did not check that the face holder was secure and mid massage the face thing fell down (not off). Robes were not provided for us (although I saw someone post a picture w/a robe).The music in the massage room was not turned on until the staff walked in, so you dress with no music, no robes while hearing the people/staff talking outside. The towels they use to clean off the oil from your skin are ROUGH, I almost told them to just stop once they hit my legs. The pictures posted are misleading. Kind of seems like you went to someone's house to get a massage definitely not worth paying anything over 35 bucks for much less the 120 they charge. Again, the massages were good but if you charge spa prices offer the spa experience. No parking. If you live around, the area go for a good massage, if you don't, not somewhere to go out of your way for or take a date to impress. read more

Place was closed!! I had an appointment as a first time customer and arrived 20 minutes early. I had a Wednesday 3pm appt and the place was closed. No one was there, the door was locked, no one answered while I was knocking on the door outside, the place was dark inside, and there were no other customers. I made the appontment three days prior, never received a reminder call about the appointment, and was never told by anyone that this place would be closed or not to arrive early. Who would think to come late for a 3pm appointment during a normal business day When I called, the person who answered told me to come back because there was someone at the place but I had already gone back to work. Very friendly staff, great service and yummy food and treats! I Found this spa through Groupon and went for the Couples Massage class with dinner drinks and Dessert! We had a fabulous and relaxing massage class. Then went to the tranquil outside area with a wonderful water fall and an out door jacuzzi and had our delicious fresh grilled veggie pasta & champagne in the netted off dinning table. It was soooo cute and romantic. And to top off the wonderful time we then had our supper yummy hot chocolate brownie sunday! I could not of asked for a better day. I purchased the couple's massage Groupon and it was AMAZING. I took my boyfriend for our one year anniversary and it was such a great experience. The staff was polite and hospitable, the ambience was very soothing, and our actual session was in this beautiful outdoor room with a water fountain, lots of fauna, and soft music and sound effects. We started out with a jacuzzi soak and complimentary glass of wine, then an hour long, full-body, deep tissue massage with oils and hit towels. The guy who massaged me did a wonderful job getting out all my knots. And after that, we sat in the garden area, had another glass of complimentary wine, PLUS a little tray of cheese, crackers, olives, strawberries, and chocolate truffles. One of the things I liked the most was the fact that we weren't rushed to move on to the next thing, but we weren't waiting around bored either. It was the perfect pace for a romantic date. I had a Spa Finder gift card and La Dolce Vita was one of my options. I called and got an appointment for that evening. The girl who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful. I must preface this part of the review by saying I don't like animals. They scare me and they make me nervous. I feel like they are unclean. So when I walked in and saw a little dog running around with long hair, that didn't make me very happy. Then the girl asked me to fill out some paperwork and there was nowhere for me to sit but on the sofa with a towel draped over it. I nervously sat down and then that dog ran over and hopped on the foot rest and started panting at me. Ew. Anyways, the little dog did not kill me nor cause me to have a huge allergy attack so that's a plus. The massage was okay. Nothing spectacular - the girl introduced herself and then started massaging me. She never asked me what type of massage I wanted (the girl on the phone didn't ask either so it wasn't like she could have known ahead of time) and she didn't ask me how long I wanted it to last. Like some of the others, I found this spa through Groupon and the Couple's Massage Class. The owner was there the day we went for our class. Both she and our massage therapist were wonderful. Very friendly, took their time with us and gave us a great experience. When we arrived, they sat us in the relaxing waiting area and served us lovely cucumber/strawberry water. I didn't know what to expect but the class was one at a time so we had our own dedicated massage therapist and brought us into our own private spa room. Each of us were on the massage table for a full hour massage and our therapist walked the other person through various techniques so much of the hour massage was four-handed, which was heavenly! The only hard part was giving the massage after I had gotten mine - I was so relaxed, it was hard to snap back into paying attention ;) Following our wonderful massages and class, they brought us out to a cute, bohemian style courtyard where they served us a delicious chicken pasta with champagne. Sadly, we had plans for the afternoon so we felt we had to get ourselves together and back on the road quickly which was a bummer because we were so relaxed and the setting was so romantic, it would have been lovely if we could have lingered a while longer, sipped our champagne and then walked down to the beach for an afternoon stroll. I would definitely return! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I think of 5 stars as something of a Four Seasons type quality - this place is more bohemian but still quaint, relaxing, with friendly service, great massage and delicious food ;) read more

Anyway, i finally booked my appt. and the day of, the CANCELLED my couples massage which i was looking forward to getting so badly. When I called them back to see what happened, the lady over the phone was SOOOO RUDE! The worst customer service if you ask me. She wasn't very apologetic at all, it was as if I owed her something? On top of that, it is extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone there! I asked if they had a receptionist and she said no. They only have private clients and its appointment only. Three stars: my boyfriend and I were desperate for a massage and knew trying to book something last minute was going to be hard on a holiday (Veterans Day). We called La Dolce Vita and the woman who answered was very helpful, squeezed us in and accommodated our request for at least one female therapist. We opted for the couples massage (side-by-side tables, chocolate covered strawberries and champagne) plus jacuzzi soak = total $175 (which by the way doesn't match any of the prices I'm reading on here for couples massage) We got to the place and I was not impressed by the interior design, music and deco. Somewhat outdated, cheap and tacky. HOWEVER, this is Long Beach and not a hotel spa so it's was fine. We waited for about ten minutes and then got walked back to the jacuzzi where we received our champagne... it was private and small which was nice. When our jacuzzi time was up our therapist walked us over to our outside cabana which was also very charming. They had spa music playing and the backyard had a fountain which helps set the relaxation tone. Ok- so my biggest compliant about the place was the quality of our therapists. I am a massage enthusiast and will go anywhere from a reflexology joint to Spa Montage and these guys were either still in school OR fresh out. Super inexperienced, which is fine...everyone has to start somewhere BUT not for $175. Both my boyfriend and I were not happy with our massages. My guy was too hard and his girl way too soft. I never write reviews but after this experience I had to. Me and my wife went for a couples massage and it was the worst experience we have ever had. First the sandals they gave us to use for the time we were going to be there were dirty and u could tell they had been used many of times. our couples massage included a tub soak which I would say was probably the only thing I enjoyed but even then the tub was dirty because when I sat down u could feel the dirt at the bottom. The facility itself was not very cleaned and well maintained. Our massages that we received were horrible and felt like they were not certified. ..the day after my wife felt worst them when she went in for the massage. The couples facial felt like it was only like 30 minutes total when it was suppose to be 1 hour and to top it off most of the time I was just getting a neck massage. I bought the couple massage package through Living Social and was not impressed. Although the staff was very nice, the actual massage was mediocre at best. The foot scrub was literally them slapping scrub and wiping it off, the scalp massage lasted about 1 minute and the cucumber facial was wet paper. I would have been furious if I paid the full value $345!! Way over priced for what you actually get. When asked for change for a tip, the massage therapist took money out of her sock! I'm not sure why there's so many bad reviews. Sure it's no Burke Williams but my boyfriend && I had a blast getting the couples massage . That was our very first one && we were completely satisfied . Ron && Mariah were fantastic !! We even had some champagne && a little food platter with chocolate truffles waiting for us when we got out the only thing I would say is the truffles were way too rich && it's coated with coconut shavings yuck . This spa is a little hole in the wall place with a cute little doggie laying at the reception desk && super comfy furry couches in the waiting room . It's been a while, but I think I still know how to write a proper review, so here goes. Okay, kudos to any spa/massage place that can accommodate my last minute needs. I am such a non planner in this area, but somehow I end up finding great people and great deals. From the website, I selected an "Out of Body" experience. Since, despite my many attempts, I have never been able to have a *real* one of these, I thought the spa version sounded nice. It included a 45 scrub followed by a shower and then an hour massage. So an hour and 45 minutes for $125...not bad :) I got there fairly quickly and was greeted promptly. I sat on the couch (no dog in sight) and watched a little Sherlock Homes. I woulda liked some water (note to staff to increase star power) - but, it wasn't too long of a wait before Stacy emerged. Stacy - wow - YOU ARE AN AWESOME MASSAGE THERAPIST!! The only thing that could have made this a 5 star experience would be to replace the towel on the headrest with a sheet and ya need to come back in 2-5 minutes when you ask the client to disrobe. I think I waited like 10. I waited long enough to think you forgot about me... :( But, your room and your hands relaxed me immensely and I am ready for another massage. I purchased an amazonlocal couples package that consisted of a 1 hour massage 30 min jacuzzi and dinner... Sounds like a good deal but the place is dirty, staff was uncoordinated, and the jacuzzi was filthy. Massage was ok and the dinner was decent but I wouldn't go back. Long ago when I lived in Long Beach I had the best massage of my life at this Spa. So when I saw a Living Social Deal for a 90min massage I was sold, even with a 40 minute drive I knew it would be worth it. I had a bit of trouble getting an appointment, later I found out it was Grand Prix weekend so I understood but no one mentioned this to me while I was trying to make the appointment to explain that they were closed that day not just busy. I finally got an appointment, for 3:30 pm. I got a confirmation of the appointment via email so I didn't worry about getting a reminder, we both had the time in writing! When I arrived 20 min early at the spa, as customary at most spas, it was locked. No big deal my date and I went over to Clancy's for a cocktail and then headed back at the arranged time. No one was there. Out side a plaque had a number to call if the door was locked; unfortunately it just leads to a voice mail so I was out of luck and my special date day ended on a sour note. When I received a call back in response to the messages I left I was told: The appointment was scheduled for 10 am and that there were 2 people there who had been brought in on a weekend they were other wise closed on because it was SO busy in the city due to Grand Prix. She also told me she tried to confirm the appointment 2 days before but that she didn't leave a message. La Dolce Via Spa blocks their number so there is NO way I would have known they tried to call me. And I didn't get a call at 10am to ask why I hadn't shown up for my treatment. So instead of an apology for ruining my day, after I drove 40 min and planned a date around this treatment I was told it was my fault and that people arn't perfect. I do not want to patronize this establishment so I will be asking Living Social for a refund. If you already have a coupon/gift card and are trying to get an appointment, make sure you tripple check your time. The staff was polite to my bf and I but they need some sprucing up to do. The restroom and shower need to be updated and they need new towels. Expected a bit more with all the photos I had seen and description of the place. However, it was very relaxing and had a great time with my boyfriend. We chose an outdoor couple massage that included the following: 30 min Jacuzzi 60 min Massage Champagne and Lunch Entree As I mentioned this was outdoor, jacuzzi had curtains to make it a bit more private. Our massage was in a cabana near by the jacuzzi. Instrumental music was playing throughout the entire time and the water fountain made the experience much more relaxing. Now the champagne was good and the food was not so great. We were given a salad and cheese raviolis with marina sauce. I only tasted the food but did not eat it since it was not so great. Also the place is very small, which makes sense why they make appointments, gladly when we reserved it was in the weekday and we were the only people there. August 17, 2015 I had purchased a couples massage for $185. I had a family emergency, so I had missed my scheduled appointment. So I called and spoke to one of their representatives and they stated that I could have it refunded. I assumed that they would take care of it since thats what they stated. That day never happened. I've emailed them directly and thru their website. They still haven't refunded my money ever nor responded to any email. In fact, all I wanted to do (prior to this review) was schedule what I had originally paid for. Instead, they decided to keep my $185 of my hard earned money. Think long and hard before booking with this place in case you are worried with any scheduling conflicts. This place lies about champagne we never got it , appointment was at 11 we did not get serviced till 1122 but they had the urge to stop at 12. This is a scam the only thing worth is the antique view of the bath tub in middle of room. The staff don't even know how to deep tissue, all they do is rub oil in your body. This guy (scheduler) says I'm not on the appointment list for the day, now they are full so he can't give me an appointment for the day AND made it sound like it was my mistake that I didn't follow up during the week to re-confirm (an already confirmed) appointment! I never write reviews, but I had to write this one. I went in for a couples' massage but unfortunately it was not a good experience. -there was no parking in the area. We parked a block away. -We waited over 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment. - Once in the room- the massage table was squeaky the whole time. The masseuse (if you can call him that) occasionally moved the table while I was on it. The room was a bit tight for 2 tables. - the WORST part of this massage was the masseuse- he was definitely NOT trained. He was very rough, he focused more on one side, when applying the oil he had no technique (kinda just all over the place). I literally left in more pain than when I arrived! -Also, they use these stinky warm towels to wipe the oil off your body. He was so rough when wiping oil off. I found La Dolce Vita Spa through Yelp. I'm currently living in southern Oregon and went down to Long Beach to visit family for the holidays. I wanted to do something nice for my partner as a Christmas gift and it seemed La Dolce Vita had exactly what I was looking for. This included a private hot soak, a super peaceful and relaxing deep tissue massage outdoors where the ambiance was rather delectable, and to top it off our choice of wine with a small hors doeuvres platter - don't forget their homemade truffles. The customer service was excellent, it really did have a family vibe where you feel right at home. A special thanks to my massage therapist Ashley! I love supporting neighborhood businesses, and that's what attracted me to La Dolce Vita. My first experience was a spa party. The spa is closed on Sunday's, but is open for special parties. If you have at least 3 guests, they will open it for you. I organized a spa day for 8 of my friends and the spa offered to do a catered lunch for $10 a head. It was great -- loose tea service, finger sandwiches, frruit, cheese, desserts and even cocktail shrimp and champagne! The place is a converted house, so there are limited amenities but I find the service to be good and the prices very reasonable. They use quality products like Dermalogica and Laura the owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. If you are one of those "don't talk to me" girls during treatments then let her know ahead of time because she will talk and talk! My other hang up is that she always seem to be running late. Most of the time my appointments are during the week and she would be the only staff around. So there were a few times when we didn't get our treatment started for 20 mins later than the scheduled time. I like to get there at least 15 mins ahead of time so it can get annoying to wait around for more than 30 minutes. But Laura's charm, skills and great prices keep me coming for the facials! Her body treatments are fine, but I do prefer the full service spas like Burke Williams where I can go in a steam room when I'm doing body treatments. read more

So I saw this place with a deal on Living Social, it was the Ultimate Indulgance couples package for $145. It includes a one hour deep tissue massage, back scrub, foot massage, foot scrub, scalp massage, cucumber face mask/facial and a treat platter with wine or champagne. I called and spoke with Laura and she was very helpful. She even told me that hey offer the same package BUT without the living social exclusions and block off dates. Since I wanted to go after the holidays, she said that if bought it with living social I wouldn't be able to go that weekend. So I booked it directly with the spa, still the same package offered. So I went in today with my boyfriend for an anniversary surprise. The place is kinda small inside but very neat and calm. The girl that greeted us (Nica I think) was very attentive, and even offered us wine or water before. I said no as I preferred it after. The massage alone was AMAZING. Both of the ladies were nice and helpful and kept asking if the pressure on the massage was good, and if not to let them know. My massage on my feet was great too. The room where we were smelled like aromas, and wasn't very lit so it was kinda intimate. The only thing that they didn't do was the facial. I wasn't so bummed out as I was hungry and dressed already but it would be nice to get EVERYTHING I paid for. After we went to the bar area and were offered some more wine or champagne and were brought out our platter as well. Everything on the platter was good. Now, the reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is...of course they didn't do the facials. Which again, I know people are forgetful but they can at least double check what the packages come with before they start so they remember. The bar area is nice BUT it lacks privacy as there was a couple behind us sitting and waiting for their treatment as me and my boyfriend are eating and trying not to talk so loud. My wine glass was dirty also, like dried chocolate at the bottom. I didn't say anything as again I didn't want to pin point every problem so I just let it go. Over all, the massage was great and so was the customer service. I would definitely recommend this place. At least try it out as their package deals and regular deals aren't too pricey compared to other places I looked up. And I would like to add, that most negative reviews come from people who pay for those Living Social packages and expect the world! I don't know if this could really be classed as a "review" per se, but here goes..... I'm visiting Long Beach this evening, and wanted to get a manicure before going out for the evening. La Dolce Vita looked perfect, and I set up an appointment for 6:30 this evening. I got an e-mail yesterday asking me to confirm my appointment, which I did. Today, I get another e-mail a little after 1 PM telling me my appointment is cancelled. No explanation why. Now, if they'd told me someone was sick, or something like that, I could have understood that. These things happen. But, it's a poor show when you just get "cancelled" out of the blue. Had a sore back lately, got two $50 spafinder gift cards from my sister, found out this place accepts them and is close to my house! Then I try to book... Website will only accept one gift card per booking. I try calling the number on the website and get a "call center" that cant make appointments and has the ability to do zero other than call the spa? why cant I just call the spa? Told her my issue, and she took my info to have a spa employee call me about booking. Tried that twice with no call back. So after two days I go over during business hours to maybe schedule in person. Door is locked, push the doorbell... Finally call the number on the door that says "if door is locked." Same call center. She tells me she's letting an employee know I'm waiting outside. Left ten minutes later after hearing from nobody...back still hurts. read more

I went here yesterday for a massage and scrub with my sister. We were pretty disappointed. The massage was pretty subpar and the massage therapists didn't even introduce themselves to us. The girl who did my sister left the room multiple times, was checking her phone during the service, and didn't turn the ringer off. She wouldn't stop talking and asked some pretty invasive and sometimes offensive questions, such as insisting that my sister (who is only 4 years older than me) was actually my mother. She also asked as twice how we were going to pay while still in the session. For some reason, they wiped the lotion off of our bodies when they were done, and in my case, my feet got avoided altogether in the massage and the scrub. My sister complained that the sugar scrub got in between her buttcheeks because the woman got far too close. Afterwards, the girl herself who did the massage came up to us and directly asked for us to leave a tip. If I hadn't felt pressured, I wouldn't have done it at all. I was really disappointed by our experience because of all the positive reviews, it wasn't worth the $300 price tag and I would probably never step foot in here again. read more

I saw the couple's massage deal on Group-On, and since my boyfriend and me were driving from Las Vegas and staying in a hotel near by, I figure this would be perfect. I didn't buy the Group-on right away, instead I called and told them my scenario..."that i was coming from out of state and wanted to make sure there was availability the weekend i was going to be there prior to purchasing the voucher" they said they only had one opening for that weekend and I could pay over the phone with my credit card, avoid the middle man, and save me the spot. Perfect!! We got there and they immediately took us to the backyard into the hot spot area which was relaxing. Soothing music and pretty flowers and trees and alone time with my love. (oh yeah we're from the desert so all the real plants in the outside area by our hot tub amazed us). We both had the best massage ever!!!! After our massage we got some wine and treats. I had the best time of my life, I still think about the place and get that soothing feeling. If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely be visiting them again. Coming from Vegas everything is all about being high maintenance, top notch and charging an arm and a leg, this place was small and cozy and friendly, made me feel like family, and the prices are very reasonable. Oh yes...yes...yes there was a cute fluffy puppy by the entrance, he was so cute and cuddly. He was as relaxed as I was after my massage. I wish vegas would make something similar! read more

I move here from Chicago and have been on a desperate search for a spa/beauty center....I think I just found the one! Firstly the place is clean and the decor is relaxing. There was a super comfy couch to wait on ( and the wait wasn't long). The kicker is that you can arrange for an appointment online! Added bonus, she does take some late-ish appointments, which is key if you have a job. The owner/main lady on the wax is Laura. Quite simply she is awesome! I went in for a waxin of my lady parts, and no one has made me feel so comfortable during that particular service. She was quick and clean and the best I've had the pleasure of experiencing. There was no weird silence or overly chattiness. She was a pro with character and did a fabulous job. There is a service dog on scene. Her name is precious and she is just that! The pooch did not make a pest of herself. She was happy to receive a pet, but didn't beg. Nor did the spa smell like a dog, it smelled clean and just like a spa should. This place is great and I will definitely be back! read more

Do not go here. Very disappointed and embarrassed by their service. I should've known that this was a bad service from the moment i called and they hung up while i was asking a question. I tried calling back twice and no response. I ordered the couples celebrate love service to celebrate my boyfriend and i anniversary and it said chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. I got regular berries and not chocolate covered. Also, the guy who did my massage didn't put any pressure at all so the massage was very sad. They also text me about pushing my scheduled time from 12:45 to 2:30 or 3pm...didn't have the decency to call me and apologize and i was already down the street and they told me about 10 minutes before the scheduled time. They did however in the text say they would do an upgrade free of services as an apology and that didn't happen either. I felt like i walked into a really bad atmosphere as if the 2 men there were having a couples fight and the man at the desk seemed upset for the other guy even offering an upgrade as an apology. This was a surprise for my boyfriend and everything just went wrong on their part. At the end when i gave a tip(which they didn't deserve) they finally said Happy Anniversary. What an embarrassment, please do not go here. The price was a rip off...i basically paid $175 for everything i just wrote. I get 10 times better service at the asian massages that we go to that charge $20 for an hour foot massage but i thought this place would be special. Next time I'm sticking to our usual asian massage and just celebrating with chocolate covered strawberries and champagne at home and a fancy dinner. I would make it worth $175. read more

Noticed a great deal on living social for a couples massage at this location. Called the business to see what their schedule looked like for Valentine's Day wknd and luckily, they had space available. When I called, they also told me that if I purchased directly thru them they would honor the same price and there would be no blackout periods or schedule restrictions. So I booked through them! The entire experience was great from beginning to end. My boyfriend and I arrived and were offered a glass of champagne or wine then ushered to our room. We received a one hour massage (incl. change time) which included oil, hot towels, a nice back & foot scrub treatment, and a cucumber facial mask. Once we finished, we came out to a nice fruit and cheese tray to complete our experience. Perfect way to kick off our Valentine's Day weekend. WARNING: parking is tough, get there early to find street parking. read more
