The cakes are small and on the pricier end but it's beautifully decorated and are not very sweet. Often my go to spot for cakes -- for Birthdays and grad celebrations. Although the drinks are not so good, I wouldn't recommend. But the cakes and pastries are superb. Tous Les Jours is located inside a busy plaza with a supermarket and other restaurants, I would not recommend going during lunch time hours as parking can be difficult. read more

Wasn't planning on getting dessert today, but I was on my way to Amazing Basil when I saw some delicious-looking bread by the door and had to check it out. The setup was interesting--something I've seen before at Mexican bakeries, but I didn't expect it here. I grabbed a tray, laid down some parchment paper, and picked out the dessert I wanted--the Chocolate Cream Donut. When I went to check out, the guy behind the register was busy making drinks, but as soon as he saw me, he stopped and rang me up. For a one-man show, he was doing amazing. Whenever I come by at this plaza, this place comes in my mind and decided to try it out. Basically, it's a bakery that sells bakery items that are made by French and Asian ingredients combined. There weren't many items when I got over to the pastry sections. Some are either low in stock or out of it. Perhaps, many people came here during the morning to grab and buy them before heading off to work or something. There are items that are stored in the display glasses, shelves, or heating device for hot food. They do have trays for you to select items and put on top of them. At the bright side, the interior looks really nice though. However, it is quiet and empty and only 1-2 customers are here. Maybe it will be packed during peak hours but again, I came here during the afternoon on a Monday. Besides all of that, I was curious about the Milky Bread that they had since it seems big and fluffy. I like how they wrapped it with a plastic like that and made the item look more elegant. When I bite the bread, it was quite sweet and chewy. I think it's around 410 calories if I recall. Oh yeah, they do display calories as well as the serving sizes and counts in case you do keep track how much calories you consumed. I'll probably come back soon to try other stuff. Tous Les Jours (literal translation as "everyday") has everything you need or want in a cafe that will certainly having you come back tous les jours! This popular mall filled with Asian establishments including sit-down restaurants, beauty salons, grocery stores, snack shops, and cafes keeps the crowd coming and it shows from the churn of parking spots. It may be tough to get one during the lunch rush but if you get here early enough or are willing to walk a bit, you should have no trouble finding a spot eventually. As you stroll into the shop, if you get in early enough, you'll be greeted with a mountain of a pile of fresh buns ready for packaging and a generous collection of day old baked goods marked down by half price. Their selection of goodies is quite vast which includes cream/custard filled buns and bread loafs, cakes, pastries, macarons, and hot croquettes. As you peruse the wall and plastic cases of baked goodies, you'll be impressed with the care they take to display their wares which will surely add to your temptations. Grab a platter and tong to start building your own collection to eat there or bring home! As cream filled buns seem to be a specialty of theirs, I ended up selecting a few of these from the discounted pile as well as the fresh ones. The staff member working the shop helped up bag some of these fresh ones off the tray as well. I also ordered an Earl Grey tea latte but they also have coffee/espresso drinks as well. They have a full espresso machine and the staff seem trained to use it well. With our order, we were given a receipt with the WiFi password on it. It's complimentary with a purchase and it's quite fast and reliable. I ended up working here for a couple hours and in the time I was here during the morning rush, there weren't a whole lot of people camping in. Most patrons were in and out with their breakfast or lunch goodies for themselves and the office. Nonetheless, there were quite a few seats available for folks looking for a quiet place to study or work. Throughout the time here, I also noticed the one staff member having to balance all the responsibilities including packaging, displaying, making drinks, and servicing customers - what a superstar but surely they could use some help! The breads are fluffy and the creams are pretty light in texture and sweetness. Personally, I wouldn't be able to finish a whole one in one sitting due to the size and overall sweetness but with a cup of coffee or tea, I could snack on them. Most unique for me were their strawberry, melon, mocha and milk cream milk buns. They're tasty but can get a bit messy due to the creamy filling. On this visit, I also took a mental note of their cake selections for special occasions. They look beautifully decorated and if they share the same fluffiness as their bread, I am sure to consider them next time as an alternative to our usual cake shops. Overall, Tous Les Jours has the quality and variety of baked goods that could keep you coming back and the prices are reasonable if you factor in the day old discount. They may benefit from a rewards system like their competitors to bring more folks in and keep them coming back for more of a financial incentive. The location is perfect for bringing foot traffic in and the internet connection and availability of seating make it a great workspace. I am definitely going to come back but due to the distance, it may not be everyday but if I am in the area, it'll be top of mind to step in and see what discounted items are available. read more

We came here on a Sunday afternoon but there was no other customers, empty inside. The pastry doesn't look fresh but why I gave it 4 stars was because of their fantastic services! We came here with our friend and her son who came visit from San Diego and we wanted to get a cake to celebrate his birthday. We bought a cake $39 for a small cake which was kind of expensive but understandable with inflation. We sat down and upon seeing that we planned to cut and eat the cake in store, the cashier asked if we would like to have plates which we didn't even know they have! Also asked if we want water! Just what we needed on a return trip from Yosemite. The coffee here tasted delicious and was better priced than the Starbucks nearby. A small but noticeable detail about to-go coffee: the lid has some sort of ergonomic spout that makes drinking easier and more enjoyable! Hard to describe but thankful that the business invested in these fancy lids! I didn't realize there was a TOUS les JOURS in Fremont. What a wonderful treat! This TOUS les JOURS is a bit dimmer in lighting, but it's quite welcoming in its architecture and space. It has brick walls and green-painted walls, making it look like the French vibe. There are some nice seats against the wall where you can plug an outlet - a good place to do work. It can get a little noisy because people enjoy chatting with their friends here. I wouldn't blame them - it looks pretty. There is a wide selection of pastries and desserts you can get. They remind me of Paris Baguette. The space is very clean and I love how cute the bear cakes looked. The larger cakes will be at least $30 and honestly, it's not bad. I bet it tastes amazing and I would like to come here to buy an anniversary or birthday cake in the future. I bought the small triple chocolate mousse cake, which is less than $10. Just a quick update for this location. We recently dropped by to pick up a few pastries on our way up to see a show in the city so that we don't have to drop $$ on theater snacks. Unfortunately a lot of their savory items had a bunch of garlic on them which is a bummer considering I have the misfortune of having a garlic sensitivity. They had a bunch of sweet pastries but typically I would like to get some savory snacks. Oh well, we did pick up an almond croissant which was decent. I did appreciate that when one of the customers was struggling with their credit card (cause they kept using a credit card that was expired) one of the other workers ended up opening another check out register to get the line moving. They use FiveStar so it's nice to get some rewards points for purchases. Typically I come here or other Tous Les Jours for their cloud cake. This location can get a little crazy to get to as the parking situation can get really out of control with all the other restaurants and also Osaka Marketplace, so just beware of that if you come during a popular lunch or dinner time. Otherwise, not bad, but not my typical go-to for pastries. But definitely try them out if you haven't! read more

We like TLJ a lot, especially for its cakes. All our friends do. But we really dislike this particular location! It's happened a number of times. I call a couple days ahead to order a birthday cake. Whoever answers, doesn't sound pleased about it all. Twice recently, they said they couldn't take the order and each time it was at least 2 days ahead. Best they offered was to come on the day of to see what's left/available! And then the one time I managed to place an order, they refused to write the birthday person's name or even stick a little plastic "Happy Birthday" flag on it! So it looked like I walked in and bought whatever there was on the shelf, not that I specially chose a flavor and size and pre-ordered it days before! Oh and they close earlier than others, and insist you pickup the order 1/2 hour before closing. Inconvenient! I gave up after my last attempt last week. Having Cappuccino from this shop as a regular about once a week. They use illy coffee and they are flavorful and their machines always makes the coffee hot, just as it should be. 4 stars for their Cloud Cakes - these are made with layers of sponge cake and light, fluffy "cloud" cream that practically melts in your mouth. I've tried almost all of Tour Les Jours' Cloud Cake flavors at this point, with the Strawberry Cloud Cake and Blueberry Yogurt Cream Cake being my current favorites, and it's become a go-to for any family birthday celebrations. However, the rest of this particular Tour Les Jours store is disappointing (I'd give it a 1-3 stars depending on what you get). There used to be a much wider selection and quantities of baked items a few years ago, but lately on multiple recent visits, there have been very few pastries and baked items on the shelves. Occasionally I'll get one of the cream-filled breads, like the mocha or taro cream bread, but they're a bit pricey too and I'm not sure how fresh they are anymore. The front of the store that used to have seating has been cluttered with what looks like bakery shelves and kitchen equipment for quite a while, so I'm not sure if they're planning to close down this location soon or why else it looks so disorganized. I also would not bother coming here for their drinks. So - I'll still come here solely for the cloud cakes and the convenient location, but skip everything else here. read more

We stopped here to buy a birthday cake. Since we came later in the day, there was a smaller selection of cake. We ended up choosing the matcha cream cake topped with fresh fruits. I loved that the cake was super most and the flavor of matcha stood out. There was a balance between cake and cream. And there was a layer of fresh strawberries in one of the bottom layers. Today I stopped in for single slices of their yummy cake. I noticed the shelves were only 1/2 full, and the staff working there were not the super polite staff I encountered during my first visit. Pastry place like Paris Baguette, also Korean conglomerate owned. I came here while waiting for a food order from somewhere else, never been to this franchise before. When I walked in with my son two of the staff were sitting at the small table in front of the cash register watching a video on one of their phones. We said good morning and they just turned and looked at us without saying anything and went back to looking at their phone. Store had a weird vibe so I went for savory stuff and tried to get out of there quickly. I got a hot dog bun and a pizza one. It came in a brown box with wax paper on bottom. It was so oily it started soaking through the wax paper and somehow even started getting the top of the box oily. It was about 15 minutes from when I got them to when I took the pictures. Both were strangely covered in onions that were baked in the oven so super dehydrated and old tasting. The bread was soggy and limp, just touching any part made your fingers instantly oily. I had to throw them away, they were not edible and I hate wasting food :( read more

Too raisin-y for me. Not too sweet 3. Mocha Almond Cream 4.5. Love the exterior croissant but the middle part is a bit heavy. Perfect for sharing. 4. Chocolate Croissant- 5/5 Filled with a thin layer of warm chocolate sauce. My coworkers were blown away by the presentation and taste of what I thought to be an ordinary tasting and ordinary looking chocolate cake. Inside consisted of sweet cream that wasn't overly sweet and crunchy chocolate chunks hidden in one of the layers. The smallest size was perfect for 8-10 people. Must love no long lines and no crowds around the new year. Haven't been here in ages. Place is still very clean and well maintained. Modern style. Croissants always look and taste excellent here. I like the sweet butter cream buns and pizza slices/flatbreads are delicious. They still have good variety of selections on the displays, but on holiday non-peak days, their quantities of pastries/breads are heavily reduced, probably so that nothing gets wasted. French style bakeries with a Korean twist is usually my thing. I am attracted to cleanliness and smooth operations. Most importantly, there's always something that I like to eat here. I enjoy having a drink or two of latte and cappuccino at this location. Parking lot can be a hassle when heavy traffic kicks in. It was extremely quiet on new year's day for sure. Excellent display of colorful holiday cakes was a bonus. Cakes aren't cheap these days, but they make those cloud cakes so delicious and good here. Expect $4-$6 per piece bread/bun here & $7-$8 per slice cake if you're going to spend. Mini corn cheese donut was only $1.75, but everything else costs a few more dollars. My family purchased our first Tous Les Jours cake last night to celebrate mom's birthday. We wanted to steer clear from the typical Vietnamese coconut, pandan, durian, & taro cakes that are always so unappetizing, played out, and wasted. We opted for TLJ's Cloud Cream Cake decorated in fresh fruit, filled with strawberries and cream. The cake was well packaged and I appreciated the quality of the box in itself- ain't nothing flimsy and dinky going on here. The sweet treat was flawlessly decorated and cutting into the airy layers was a complete breeze. Cream topping was delicious- lightly sweet, airy, and very much enjoyed. The cake too was airy but is sweeter than your typical Van's Bakery [Vietnamese cakes]- No complaints, just stating facts. Fruits were fresh and some slightly tart, making the cream combo HEAVENLY. We've been coming here pretty regularly, but since COVID-19 and the Pandemic, I feel like they aren't making as much bread as they should be. Every time we come, the shelves seem to be quite bare, and it's not like we're coming here late in the afternoon. I've come here at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm, and even at 1pm, there's hardly any selection of bread left. I get we are in a pandemic of sorts, but if you stay open til 6pm everyday, then you should be making enough bread to last until late in the afternoon til closing. Also, they need to work on the customer service here provided by the employees who work here. The service is not always the best here, it really just depends on who's working.
