Amazing Mexican food!! I was at a party and was so impressed by the quality and quantity of the food. The hosts said they got it from La Frontera. Home-made corn tortillas and chips. Meats of all kinds, but the chicken was my favorite. Rice and beans were great, but the salsas were both really hot and I had to pass!! Leftovers were great, too!! This place is the best kept secret in Redmond. A co-worker and I stopped by here, and whoa were we surprised. Authentic and I mean Authentic Mexican food. I had the Gorditas (carne asada) and he had the quesadilla. This place is so authentic, you better brush up on your Spanish before ordering...I just moved here from Phoenix, and let me tell you this place could go toe to toe with any authentic Mexican place in Arizona. This is the real deal. It isn't Tex-Mex like someone else wrote. I've eaten several things here and have very much enjoyed EVERYTHING each time that ive gone. I especially like the enchiladas!! It isn't fancy so dont expect some super cool decor . Close your eyes and it's not hard to imagine you're in Ensenada Having lunch at some roadside vendor. It's just good food, priced fairly! This is the best Mexican food I have eaten outside of Mexico. I lived in SF for 15 years and we thought we had good Mexican, and we do, but this is better. Not to mention the servers are all very nice and patient, and will explain anything you may not understand on their menu. I have only had the tacos, which I use as the barometer for the rest of the menu, and they are so good, I haven't yet branched out to try other combinations. The meats are all top notch; flavorful, tender, and juicy. The tortillas are freshly made and perfect. There is also an excellent condiment/salsa station and serve yourself warm tortilla chips. Pretty solid food. Most likely the best in Redmond; maybe even Central OR, so they get an extra star. Very nice people, fresh ingredients, and authentic to some degree, but lacking in heat and spice. The beans were very so-so, the rice was pretty good, but needed some spice, and the meats were decent. Living in the CA Bay Area has spoiled me because there is so much really tasty authentic Mexican food from many different regions. I say give it a try and add some hot sauce! read more

First off, this place is worth a try just for the salsa/condiment bar. Hot tortilla chips are there to help sample everything. The cactus is the best, closely followed by the cabbage. Walking in, this place is authentic and you could be anywhere in Mexico. We had sopas and some other thick tortilla thing. Both were amazing! We liked the pork better than the chicken. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but I just thought this place was okay. The salsas were awesome, they pickle their own carrots! The tacos were all pretty good (I'm from Cali so may be a bit biased though). I also ordered the Ceviche tostada that was disappointing - it was a mix between shrimp marinara and jalapenos on a tostada. I only ate a few bites because it weirded me out. read more

The folks that own the restaurant own a bakery further down Hwy 97. It is fantastic. Luis the baker made 3 milhojas cakes for my son's wedding and they were absolutely delicious. I kind of get why this place had so few reviews - keep the authenticity a secret! The food here is so good, almost as good as my mom used to make, but there are so few spots to sit, it would probably be a better take out place.
