Very friendly service and a wonderful location on the water. Came in and were seated right always with no reservations. Plenty of options to choose from, but the breakfast is my favorite! You can't go wrong getting a crepe here.
A fantastic spot right by the beach, this charming restaurant offers limited indoor seating. However, why choose indoors when you can enjoy the outdoor seating under the covered patio, with breathtaking views of the oceanfront! The kona coffee paired with the crepes was such a great combo, good mix of sweet and bitterness for a brunch combo. I opted for a crepe featuring the various berries and whipped cream, while my friend opted for the signature burger. Each dish was served promptly and our server accommodated our extra requests for plates and condiments very quickly!
Amazing food and service! This needs to be on your "do not miss" list for San Clemente. The Berries & Cream Crepe was so delicious! I have been to Paris many times, this was spot on! The day before I had the Chicken Crepe for lunch. I selected the roasted potatoes for my side! Crisp and flavorful, and the roasted chicken was phenomenal. We had the same young man wait on us both times. Very attentive and genuinely friendly. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
We came here for Sunday brunch a few weekends ago and I have found myself craving the same meal several times since then. There was a long wait for a table but you can put your name and number down and walk across the street to the pier to enjoy the view while you wait. Tables are all outside, simple and they do have some umbrellas for shade. Ben liked his Chicken Apple Sausage and potatoes crepe. I was equally obsessed with both the smoked salmon and the berries and cream crepes. I did not like the cheese filling option for the dessert crepe which I ordered on the side, but Ben did like it. The side of chicken sausage was really good. The side of potatoes was dry.
Lovely place for a Sunday brunch. The atmosphere was nice. The tables were not too close even though it's a small place. The food was surprisingly great.i had the chorizo scramble with side of avocado. Fresh and delicious. The only thing that topped the atmosphere and the food was the excellent service.
Wonderful French crepe cafe. The Mushroom and Spinach crepe, add bacon, was excellent. They essentially make a French folded omelette and then wrap a crepe around it and top it off with Bechamel sauce (kind of like Alfredo for those who don't know). The Nutella banana crepe was amazing with a generous amount of Nutella inside. I highly recommend paying for the extra berries on top to keep it interesting. The side of nicely seasoned breakfast potatoes rounded out the meal. Outdoor seating right at the oceanfront in the most happening part of town, right by the San Clemente Pier. Usually pretty busy, but they text you when your table is ready, so you can feel free to walk around and enjoy the ocean view while you wait for your table.

Situated across the street from the beach in the Pier Bowl, La Gallette affords views of the water and chill beach activity across the tracks from the pier. It's a beautiful place to sit outside and enjoy a meal with the sights and sounds of San Clemente. I ordered the Berries and Cream with the cream cheese add-on. It's everything you want from a sweet, cream cheese, fruit crepe for breakfast. The slight savoriness of the crepe and its texture complement the smooth creaminess of the sweet cheese filling and bites of fruit perfectly. Every bite is worth stretching out and enjoying. She tried the Shrimp Crepe with potatoes. A very tasty choice. But, the Berries and Cream is transcendent. Service was excellent, conveying the charm of local proprietorship. Everything here has a sense of local touch to it. I highly recommend La Gallette!
Just leaving a note to say that I showed up here today (11/23/24) to meet a friend and the location seems closed while they pursue a permit to expand into the retail next door. There are no other signs than the two papers posted on the door; there's nothing on their website. Looking in the windows it didn't look like they would be closed, so it's a little weird. There was an older couple coming for brunch that apparently come often that were also confused. Edited to add: we ended up eating next door with a view of the front entry. About 7-8 other groups also stopped in front of the it, all looking very confused. I did see a man come put something else up on the window, but I forgot to look at what it was before we left the area. Oops!
Nice location by the pier with good food. Bacon Avocado Toast: Awesome! Bacon was perfectly cooked, avocado perfectly seasoned on a nice hearty wheat bread toast. 4 Stars Berries and Cream Crepe: Awesome! Get with the sweet creme, the extra money is worth it. 4 Stars Chicken Apple Sausage Crepe: Good, the flavors were good, but could have used more seasoning. 3 starts.
I haven't experienced a lot of crepes in my life but was delighted by this little sea side bistro. The service was excellent and the cappuccino was foamy! The crepe omelet was hot and cheese ooozed out of the middle when I cut into it. The crepe was light and perfect. The side of potatoes were cold but still yummy.
Me and a friend decided to take the beach trail (highly recommended for all the views!) and this small outdoor patio restaurant was around and we decided to get some brunch here! It is pretty small outdoor patio. They do take big parties but I would recommend could with 3 other friends at most. Anyways we sat down immediately and browsed through the menu. They have a lot of options for brunch and their specialty is definitely their crepes but I decided to get a omelette while my friend got the chicken apple sausage and potatoes crepe. The dishes came out fairly fast and we dug in! My omelette came with bacon, spinach, and mushrooms along with sourdough toast. The toast was crispy and the jelly served with it was great. The omelette itself was delicious! My friend shared some of her crepe and I loved the taste of the chicken apple sausage! So good! I do have to note they serve water in small plastic cups but the servers were always around refilling them. Our server(s) were great as well. We didn't really have just one server but all 3 of them were great and paid a lot of attention to us. After a 3.5 mile walk, this place checked all I needed for a brunch meal. Great tasting food, outdoor patio seating, and great service! Would highly recommend coming to this place if you need a brunch fix!
Crepes with the view! and what view it is! on my last visit to La Galette creperie the outdoor patio now is expanded, which a huge bonus. I put my name on the list and took a stroll with kids to the beach and watched a surfing competition. A server call me and told that the table is ready, i appreciated that i don't need to stand and wait at the restaurant. The service was spot on, the girl who was our waitress was very attentive and sweet to my kids, accommodated my request for extra banana on a berry crepes. Lets talk about crepes, they are HUGE! Berries and cream crepe is delicious and not overly sweet, my savory egg, spinach and mushroom crepe was phenomenal and so filling, i could only eat half of it. La Galette is the best stop for crepes in San Clemente with incredible coastal views!

It's better w/ hot sauce on it. Not that filling. I hope they add an official vegan option cuz I do like this place. Maybe tofu scramble or roasted potatoes, sautéed mushrooms... just an idea *wink wink* *hint hint* ;) Small warning: parking is a b1tch and the area's PACKED with tourists Heads up: mandatory 18% tip for parties of 6 or more
I seriously cannot say enough about this bistro! First, the ambience is beyond gorgeous, me, and my daughters sat outside on the patio and was able to look out at the ocean view. Secondly, the service was the most amazing service, I had my whole entire week in San Clemente. All the ladies who helped us were so kind and friendly! This service made me come back 3 times in total, to enjoy the food and views. My last day in town, I spoke with the wait staff and let them know what a great job they are doing; They were friendly and so grateful. The food was delicious and so delightful. The chicken sandwich had roasted chicken with bacon and a delicious aïoli. That was honestly such a good mix. The brioche bread they put the chicken on was fluffy and flavorful. My daughters got a Nutella crêpe and berries and cream crêpe. Both were delicious and a good portion size. Their sourdough toast with jam was a favorite of ours, we got it every single time we went. I cannot wait to come back and try maybe one of their delicious salads or maybe Hardy breakfast! Definitely a top-tier restaurant. I must try! read more
The best thing about La Galette Creperie is their location right across the street from the ocean. You can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Foodwise, well, I have yet to find a place in the OC that does crepes well. I ordered a mushroom and spinach breakfast crepe ($13), but it turned out to be more like an omelette wrapped in a thick crepe, with some sauce on top. Maybe the dessert crepes are the way to go. If you're thinking about ordering one of the crepes with eggs in it, you might just want to opt for an omelette instead. Prices are pretty decent, considering the location. Service was good. We were still there when they were about to close and did not get chased out (we left before they actually closed). Metered street parking and public parking lot nearby. read more

One good thing to come of this Covid drama - more outdoor seating. Here, you can dine on the covered sidewalk with a good view of the pier, ocean, passing train. And the food is solid. I went with the BLT w/avocado. Real good. Filling. Wifey got the goat cheese salad which she liked. We both scooped up a couple of Lychee by the Beachee drinks. Very good. Like a lychee mimosa. Service was strong and their prices are good. Parking can be a little dicey as it's located across from the pier. You may have to park and hoof it depending on how full the pier parking is. read more

The crepes were amazing! They were delicious, the texture was spot on, the amount of berries to the cream and sugar was amazing. I'm honestly only giving it 3 stars due to the coffee as well as the service. The service could have been a lot better, the waitress was too focused on gossiping and didn't really check on anyone when we were there. The latte tasted burnt, almost as if the expresso pull wasn't pulled properly. I'm not saying this as any hate, we enjoyed our time there, but that could have been avoided. read more

Came here for lunch. What a wonderful location across from the ocean and it has fantastic food. I got the spinach and mushroom crepe. It was massive-very delicious and filling. I was surprised it was more like an egg inlet sue to the large amount of egg inside. Nicely balanced with the crepe and crème.8 will definitely come back and get something different since there's so much to choose from. read more
Every year, my family makes a trip out to San Clemente. Every year, grabbing crepes at this spot is one of my favorite parts of the week. This crepe restaurant is located directly across the street from the pier, with beautiful views of the ocean. What more could you ask? A little up the hill, there is plenty of parking. Right now, with everything going on, they are practicing great social distancing with a nice little build-out of the restaurant into the street so that they can still seat enough people. They're pretty quick at turning over tables (sanitizing and everything) so it didn't take long for us to get seated. We did have to split up our family though, because there's only 6 people to a seat right now. Normally, I would get a big cup of joe and a crepe, but I actually opted out of the coffee this time. The crepe I always get, and have been getting for the past I don't even know how many years, is the nutella and banana crepe with added strawberries. I love the way they put together their crepes here, too. They place the fruit on the outside, so it doesn't get soggy inside, which I appreciated. Right now, they're serving everything with plastic and paper throw-away plates, which is fine! The service here is also really amazing, too. Our waitress was super friendly and our food came out pretty fast despite them being super busy for a beautiful Saturday morning. Can't wait till next year when I get to come back again! read more

Food: quality, portions, display good. Taste is perfect-not too salty nor too sweet nor too oily. You don't get tired of the taste. We were pleasantly surprised with this adorable place, across from the pier with a spectacular ocean view. It's small and quaint with a great outdoor patio. It's amazing the wonderful cocktails, food and service coming out of here. our server Stephanie could not have been more pleasant. The crepes are fantastic, as are the coffee and drink options. Something for everyone. And very reasonably priced. read more

We stopped here on a Saturday for lunch during the Ocean Festival in San Clemente, and were extremely happy with the service and food. The check in to get your name on the list is efficient and the wait was less than 10 min. We are locals and walked from North Beach, and had our dog with us, and they had no problem accommodating us as all they have is outdoor seating. Our group ordered avocado toast with an egg, the bacon, egg and cheese crepe, the banana Nutella crepe, and the bacon and cheese omelette. Everything was fantastic. See pics. My only complaint was when I ordered a dirty chai with two shots, and that translated to chai latte, no espresso shots, so it was really bland. I ended getting it put in a cup to go and adding espresso shots at home, so all worked out. Highly recommend this cute place. I'd have the avocado toast again in a heartbeat. read more

Super fun summer breakfast place on a July Monday at 7:10 AM. Nice savory and dessert crepes, plus coffee and sides of eggs and sausages. Took home about half theMushroom and Spinach Crepe, which was huge, along with most of the side of scrambled eggs. My sister in law and her 95 year old mom polished off the sausages and a Berries and Cream Crepe, which was excellent. Anna the owner/manager (we assume) was helpful & friendly as always. Excellent handicap access - we parked in a handicapped spot across the street. Fun to walk N and S along the beach after. My sister in law from Delaware calls this her favorite beach spot in OC. read more
Came here this morning to hang with family. But before I get into the review... GOOD LUCK FINDING PARKING!!! I hiked a good mike away.. It's a great location as it's super busy, the beach is right there, when not obstructed my the Metro Liner.. I looked over the menu, nice options and yes!! Avocado is served here!! I had the egg, cheese crepe. Pretty good size and loaded with eggs, cheese and bacon. I opted out of the most popular which is the berries.. only because you get a small amount of berries, but lots of powdered sugar, a bunch of whipped cream and if you want.. chocolate sauce. That's a diabetics worst nightmare and if you don't have diabetes now, for $2.50 they will add a cream cheese filling!! And it's also pretty big... but it sells and it's popular among the tourists.. I also had the ON that was awesome!! Fresh!! 4 stars for me because it's a crepe... I've always said, if they made eggs Benedict in a crepe, that would be epic read more

Who knew that front row to the San Clemente pier would host such a terrific Cafe? Now, you do... Sweet or Savory crepes served throughout the day, but be sure to enjoy their French Toast for breakfast if you can. Great location and delicious food served with good cheer. All great reasons to come down to the heart of San Clemente for a treat. read more

staff was very nice an all teenage girl staff can either feel rlly welcoming or really unwelcoming but these girls were really sweet crepes were expensive and they charge $5 extra for a pinch of berries i kept coming back for utensils and napkins and water and all that and they were really nice about that even tho half of us weren't eating from there very kind and gracious employees the view was also amazing right next to the pier !! definitely would recommend coming here read more

Amazing location. Sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the ocean views and good friends. Had the smoked salmon crepe. It was good but probably won't order that again. It basically an omelette wrapped in a crepe. The berry crepe looked good though. They have lots of options that are not crepes. read more
