Fiesta Chicken is the most underrated restaurant in Boise, don't @ me. I don't know how this place isn't more talked about. Locals sure know about it - the drive thru is packed every day. If you're from out of town, I highly encourage you to stop by for some of the best damn chicken you'll ever eat. Everything on their menu is fantastic. However, my absolute favorite and number one recommendation are the Chipotle Chicken Tacos. Someone else here says they are the equivalent of crack - I second that! Three warm, fluffy flour tortillas filled with generously seasoned chicken, cheese, pico de gallo, and lettuce drizzled with the most delicious chipotle ranch. It comes with a kick, but if you're a real one you'll still add more hot sauce to send your taste buds to a whole other planet. If you're really, really hungry, the Chicken Burrito Supreme will take great care of you. It's HUGE and cheap. And very, very good. Delicious, moist chicken, rice, beans, cheese, onions, cilantro, guac, pico and sour cream all stuffed in an extra large flour tortilla. What a mouthful! It's extremely flavorful. Think about the best burrito you've ever had, and multiply that feeling by 10. Their beef is meh. Went this evening for the first time. Inside to order of course. Twice Grilled chicken burrito, barria burro, 2 piece combo breast thigh beans and Mac n chz. Brought everything all the way to Emmett and considering the time, all the food was really great. Customer service was great, close to closing but I didn't feel rushed or anything. They provided plenty of all the sauces. Total was almost 30 which was good for what I got. If we would have eaten there I probably would have given it 5 stars. Next time! read more

We attempted to dine this afternoon. We found an empty parking lot, which was the first red flag. We attempted to enter and found a locked door. I knocked to get the attention of the young lady at the counter. She was preoccupied with her phone and when I was able to distract her, she pointed for me to walk around to the other side of the establishment. Their food it's ok. but their restaurant it's always fifty tables are dirty restrooms are dirty and or out of service. it's a shame they don't put attention to cleaning we like the food but I rather go to a clean restaurant. I recently tried the grilled chicken from Fiesta Chicken in Boise. I got the three-piece mixed chicken meal for $7.99. You get three pieces of chicken with two sides. I got my favorite sides, broccoli salad and macaroni and cheese. I've heard people rave about this chicken. It was moist and had a nice citrus flavor to it. I thought it was pretty good, but my favorite item there remains the Chipotle Chicken Tacos. But if you're looking for a healthy take-out family meal, this is one to put on your list. I've had the Carne Asada tacos from this location too. The first time, they were some of the best I've ever had. The second time they were very disappointing. Peak behind the cashier and you'll see rows of chickens grilling away, soon to be someone's tasty meal. Oh the things they do well! The chicken can be tucked into burritos the size of a small chihuahua or diced and doused in their chipotle sauce for delectable tacos. You can get different chicken pieces along with mac and cheese, broccoli salad, or piquant coleslaw. Their carne asada is fantastic as well, even though it's not the star at this "party pollo" place. Since I first came to Fiesta Chicken soon after they opened, I've been here two more times. They have solved the problems I identified on that initial visit. They hired more people, so the ordering process is much easier. They're still busy at lunchtime, but the crazy long lines have mellowed out. I got the green chicken burrito this trip instead of tacos, mistake. While the filling tasted good, it was a struggle to find any chicken. I'm so happy to see this establishment on the Boise bench. I readily hope it does well in the new area. When we went they had only been open 3 days. You can tell they are still trying to get into the groove of making this a functioning sit down eatery. It was rather busy, a good line inside and 3-4 cars in the drive thru. This isn't fancy but it's pretty great tasting food for the price. We ordered the green burrito with chicken, 2 beef enchiladas and 1 chicken creamy cilantro taco. They could have smothered the burrito a bit more to actually make it green however again I understand they are just getting up and running. Food flavors were all easily good. For 1.70 my chicken taco was very large and amazing spice and flavor. The taste of their grilled chicken never disappoints. So if you're in the area stop and at least give their new bench location a try. read more

Stopped by for lunch as a number of people have stated their food is good. The restaurant is easy to find (large outdoor sign) and locate off Orchard Street. Upon entering the restaurant it is clean and organized. During my time eating lunch I noticed the staff would promptly clean any tables that were just used. The floors looked clean as well. Fyi, this is a place where you are expected to clean your table (no biggie). The menu ventured from traditional chicken combos, to tacos, to burritos and to beef??? The beef options caught me off guard, but people want beef I guess at a chicken joint. For lunch I went traditional to see what the hubbub was all about and ordered the 3 piece combo (item #1) with two sides and a drink (I recall the cost was a little over $9). The combo comes with two leg pieces and one thigh. The chicken was definitely cooked over a live flame which added great flavor (and char) and the chicken was very tender (falling off the bone). The two sides I went with were Rice and Coleslaw. The slaw was ehh...I prefer vinegar based sauce for that bite. I added salsa to it for extra flavor. The Rice was very good if you like Spanish Rice. Great flavor and cooked nicely. Along with the meal the restaurant does offer a salsa bar. I grabbed both the red and green. The red is hotter than the green. Both salsas had good flavor. As an added treat, they provide jalapeños carrots. Super good (I love these carrots). Overall the food was good. If you are in the mood for flame grilled chicken, you cannot go wrong here! Went a second time and tried the chicken supreme burrito. You would think it would have chicken in it but nooo. It was huge but it was all rice and beans. It didn't even have cheese, pico, sour cream or quac in it like it said on the menu. If I asked for it without rice and beans I would just have a tortilla sitting on my plate. I cut it open length wise digging through the rice and beans to try to find some chicken. I think I found 5 pea size little pieces in that huge burrito. The rice and beans weren't even good. It was over $9 and I just threw it away. It wasn't worth eating. I was so disappointed and felt ripped off. It will be a while before I go back, but I'll only get the tacos. I wanted to try their chicken salad but I imagine it's only lettuce. I'll stick with California Mexican Food on Fairview, so much better quality and price wise. First visit: I finally got to try this place and I was blown away how good it was. I had the queso birria taco, chipotle chicken taco and a creamy cilantro chicken taco. All were sooooo good. I tried these guys for the first time tonight; I think it's important when coming here to know what they do well and what they don't (what not to order haha). I went with the chipotle chicken ranch tacos and the fiesta chicken salad for my GF. We both loved our entree selections; the chicken was well seasoned and not dry (had a little bit of heat to it). Definitely order the chicken tacos, fiesta chicken salad or the chicken!! Stay away from the sides; I ordered the rice and beans (pretty big sides; $3 a piece). The rice was dried out and the beans had absolutely no flavor total miss. Honestly the tacos had salads were enough (reasonably priced too). I usually wait longer to visit a new location, give the establishment time to rain a chef and staff and etc but I couldn't help myself because I love love looove fiesta chicken on ustick. As a native Californian, in the 19 years I've been in Boise Ivey and a hard time finding really true Mexican. And the drive from the bench to ustick was worth it. So YAYYYYY for fiesta chicken on the bench here. I always get the grilled burrito (we call it the "forearm burrito") and found it to be right in line with my expectations. Ingredients were fresh and hot and the burrito was still as big as my forearm - Albeit 6.49 instead of $5.99 but that's not a bad price for 2 meals (for me) and I respect the cost of expanding. Still very reasonable for what you're getting I'm giving them a 5 because the food was in line and the staff were polite and helpful. However, they do need to watch their condiment and salsa bar area. It was a mess - and it wasn't that busy. So next time I'll definitely say something because I care about this establishment staying close read more

Why the bad reviews?? I've been here probably once a week since they've been open and have been very happy every time! I have ordered different things on their menu including: Chipotle chicken taco (delicious), twice grilled chicken burrito (mine seemed to have skipped the grill, hence the -1 star, but still delicious), rolled tacos which come with their guac and sour cream (yum), and **hint hint* their kids quesadilla is HUGE! The drive-through is a bit sluggish, but they are just getting the barings. Be patient, I am sure once the kinks are worked out, things will become more smooth and quicker. read more
