Fiesta Chicken is the most underrated restaurant in Boise, don't @ me. I don't know how this place isn't more talked about. Locals sure know about it - the drive thru is packed every day. If you're from out of town, I highly encourage you to stop by for some of the best damn chicken you'll ever eat. Everything on their menu is fantastic. However, my absolute favorite and number one recommendation are the Chipotle Chicken Tacos. Someone else here says they are the equivalent of crack - I second that! Three warm, fluffy flour tortillas filled with generously seasoned chicken, cheese, pico de gallo, and lettuce drizzled with the most delicious chipotle ranch. It comes with a kick, but if you're a real one you'll still add more hot sauce to send your taste buds to a whole other planet. If you're really, really hungry, the Chicken Burrito Supreme will take great care of you. It's HUGE and cheap. And very, very good. Delicious, moist chicken, rice, beans, cheese, onions, cilantro, guac, pico and sour cream all stuffed in an extra large flour tortilla. What a mouthful! It's extremely flavorful. Think about the best burrito you've ever had, and multiply that feeling by 10. Their beef is meh. I would never choose anything with beef here when their chicken is the real star of the show.

I recently tried the grilled chicken from Fiesta Chicken in Boise. I got the three-piece mixed chicken meal for $7.99. You get three pieces of chicken with two sides. I got my favorite sides, broccoli salad and macaroni and cheese. I've heard people rave about this chicken. It was moist and had a nice citrus flavor to it. I thought it was pretty good, but my favorite item there remains the Chipotle Chicken Tacos. But if you're looking for a healthy take-out family meal, this is one to put on your list. I've had the Carne Asada tacos from this location too. The first time, they were some of the best I've ever had. The second time they were very disappointing. They had very little meat and the meat was not very tender.

Hey. You like street tacos you can eat in a clean, temperature-controlled space? You like chicken that's seasoned just right? You like salsa with some real heat to it? I've got you. Rather, Fiesta Chicken's got you. I'd made the trek out to the Ustick site once, but it wasn't until the new location in my own hood opened that I was converted to a Chicken Fiesta fanatic. Ambiance isn't their thing. Don't show up expecting more than basic tables and a clean dining room. Thing is, it's all you need from the place because the food is the star. Peak behind the cashier and you'll see rows of chickens grilling away, soon to be someone's tasty meal. Oh the things they do well! The chicken can be tucked into burritos the size of a small chihuahua or diced and doused in their chipotle sauce for delectable tacos. You can get different chicken pieces along with mac and cheese, broccoli salad, or piquant coleslaw. Their carne asada is fantastic as well, even though it's not the star at this "party pollo" place. Plus, the price point, my friends. Consistently good, plentiful food that will stretch your stomach (in a good way) for easily under a ten note. Where else can you get such a deal outside of a fast food chain? If you haven't made your way to a Fiesta Chicken yet, get to it. Tasty. Affordable. Crave-able.

    Fabulous chicken.

Since I first came to Fiesta Chicken soon after they opened, I've been here two more times. They have solved the problems I identified on that initial visit. They hired more people, so the ordering process is much easier. They're still busy at lunchtime, but the crazy long lines have mellowed out. I like their tacos, but just like my experience at their Ustick shop, I tend to order the chicken because it's so good. Service ais friendly and the food is served in a reasonable time.

The food is amazing! I really like the chicken and most the sides! It's kinda like El Polo Loco but better.

Is this in the shut down Wendy's store?

I think so. I could tell it used to be another fast food chain and they have drive through.

It was just spicy enough to be noticed but not enough to ruin the meal. We pared it with the Cadillac margaritas which were amazing. I had the carnitas dinner which was delicious and abundant. It's very inviting, if not decadent feeling. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were lacking. My mocktail was recommended by our server, but it was much too sweet, and had a weird aftertaste. We ordered chips, guac, and it came with two versions of salsa. One was incredibly bitter (tasted very vinegar-y), while the other just tasted strange. Neither me or my husband like it. The guac, however, was very good. We ordered the Seafood Ceviche, which is a dish we usually love, but not so much here! It was covered in an orange sauce that was overly acidic. It was so much and so acidic, we couldn't taste the seafood. It was lost in the sauce. It seems as though whoever's in the kitchen lacks some culinary intuition. The staff were good. It'a dimly lit, even during the day, for those with sight issues.

A decent Selection of lunch menu offerings, I went with Chili Verde, pork in green sauce, eithucorn tortillas. We ordered chips and salsa, interesting because it's not complimentary as in so many Mexican places, is one hotter yellow sauce with pineapple, a typical medium sauce, and a mild, plus beans were ordered. The chips were gold, house made, the yellow sauce was definitely good, would probably be great on fish tacos, but the medium red was what I preferred with chips. Lunch arrived with the obligatory "hot plate" warning meaning it had bern in the oven. As always, I started by trying the rice and beans, v both were good enough I nearly finished them before even trying the Chili Verde. What was interesting here was I wanted to use the larger than average sized corn tortillas to get every bit of the verde sauce off the plate! Something, we were too busy talking to tell, was different. I don't ever remember wanting to sop all the sauce up with the tortillas before! Would I come back, yes, there is enough that looked interesting to return.

The menu has a few things you can order from burritos, tacos, tortas and other fun items. We ordered a Carne Asada Burrito and it has rice, beans, meat of choice & lettuce and avocado it was pretty good. We got some tacos as well and not sure if she mixed up another ordered but we were short 3 tacos on our order and that was a bummer.. I was really looking forward to them. Their asada, carnitas, el pastor were all really good and authentic flavor and loved that the pastor had the pineapple chunks as well. One thing I did dislike was I asked about chips order and it said $5 when I asked her if I can just have a couple, she was a bit confused and asked the lead there. Apparently they didn't have chips in their truck and had to go find them. That should have been my no thank you but I figured ohh let's give them a try. Once we got to our house and saw the $5 chips I was honestly a bit upset they were store bought nacho chips. Tacos are $2.50 I don't understand why chips are $5 and they aren't even like your traditional Mexican chips or something along those lines. That was my only downfall to this place but those are just chips. Their food was honestly good no doubt about it when we were ordering they had a few people eating there and a few to go orders. Maybe take them off the menu or make little baggies and purchase chips from a Mexican store or make your own tostadas..
