I fell in love with La Granja years ago. They replaced my visits to Pollo Tropical. La Granja is truly authentic Spanish cuisine. I love this specific location because they give you the option of yellow rice or white, I choose yellow always. My favorite dish is the fried fish that is cooked with large onions, tomatoes, and a light sauce. It's not your typical fried fish that dry. Literally, every dish is great here! Do not forget to visit the sauce bar that has these awesome onions you can add to your food. I put it on my rice. The yellow is spicy (my fav) and then I get the garlic one. I had a mixed experience with the La Granja near my home in West Palm Beach, but a visit to this location quickly changed my mind. The portions are HUGE. Or maybe they aren't -- I guess I've gotten so used to Pollo Tropical. Even the 'regular' size side orders of fried yuca and maduros (plantains) are large enough for two people to share. This location is great, convenient, and fast. It's right across from Boynton Beach mall. The food is as great as the sauces that make any dish taste spectacular. I get yellow and red sauce is spicy. It all depends on the current mood. I usually get 1/2 chicken yellow rice and beans. It's fairly cheap and you can get your own sauces and put condiments in little containers. The worst customer service I've ever experienced at a La Ganja. The manager (Osmon?)was unwilling to accommodate a very minor change to a meal due to allergies (eliminating cheese and sour cream) stating that isn't how they train their employees to make the setup and therefore the staff has no idea how to substitute dairy. read more

I have been a long time customer at the La Granja in Boynton. I am not sure what is going on their but the last few times, the food has been awful. On 9/16/2020, ordered 2 seafood rice dinners which I we have had in the past, there was barely had any seafood in the rice. The lomo saltado was so tough, not like it normally is and the fries were from the day before. I have noticed a decline in the quality of the food. read more

We must be spoiled because we live in Miami, where La Granja's foods are more authentically Latin & the clientele demands adherence to higher standards. This was awful (& as you can see from other reviews I write, I rarely write a negative review). The ceviche was chewy & the cancha got dumped into the same compartment--so it was a soggy mess by the time we got it to our temporary residence. (In Miami it's placed in a separate container so it stays fry & crunchy). The chicken--dark meat which should've been moist--was so dry that the texture was mealy. Like sawdust. Yuk. Truly a disappointment. On the bright side, staff members were nice. read more

Not good anymore!! Used to like their food but last night it was barely edible. Got the chicken and black beans with yellow rice. The chicken was dry, tasteless and too salty. The black beans and rice were also too salty. Pollo Tropical is much better. Also last night, all the onions and sauces were running low and looked like they'd been there all day, all withered and dirty-looking. Customer service was ok although nobody spoke much English. But it's a Peruvian restaurant. Will not be going back anytime soon, so many better places in the area. My dog did enjoy the chicken though. read more

We have been dining at La Granja for at least 10-12 years. our recent experience is the final straw. Veronica, the cashier and order taker, was rude and insulting. the food, over the last year, has degenerated from very good to inedible and disgusting. Chicken, beef, wings, fries, plantains and rice were overcooked, dry, and basically inedible. The 3 meals were short Fried Plantains, Bottled water, and rice and beans. Their 1/4 lunch special is a really great deal. Only $4.95 for some chicken, rice and beans that are all very delicious! It only goes up until 4pm so take advantage of it! They also have really tasty sauces! This location seems to be fairly clean as well. The service needs improvement however as every time I come, I usually get some sort of attitude given to me. This is one of our regular spots and I'm so surprised actually it's taken me so long to write a review, cause it's really a great place. We've been here countless times and (knock on wood) have never had a bad meal. I usually get the chicken, but I've tried a couple different menu items and have always been pleased! Their seafood is great, the white sauce is amazing and the staff is good too. Plus they're always cleaning that place, so that's nice to see too. I tried this place again, I think it's still the same, the chicken was very dry, not like it used to be. It had a very unusual taste, like an old dried taste. The chicken is still salty, they are using too much salt here. The rice and beans were ok, and plantains. Onions and hots sauce were much better. Just needs a little improvement on the chicken . I don't know if I am giving up on this place just yet, but I will wait a few more weeks to see they improve. read more

Fast, delicious Peruvian food, and lots of it at a more than reasonable price, sums this place up. My quarter piece of white meat chicken was quite large and delicious, surpassing Pollo Tropical. Pass on the sweet, yellow colored Inca cola. The fried fish and seafood specialties are quite good and made to order. Noodles with chicken was very salty and did not have a good taste. Lots of interesting sauces to spice up the rice and beans. Plantains are very good so get the combo with an included soda. read more

I LOVE LA GRANJA, AND THEIR FOOD!!! everything is always cooked perfectly! But why is it that the people and manager that work at 3240 Old Boynton Road location are SOOOOO RRUUUDDDEEEEE!!!! We always have large orders to place therefore we call ahead of time and in Spanish to avoid any mistakes or confusions. The orders get handed to us with attitudes and God forbid we want to check it before we leave they are bothered by the thought of us suggesting it....but sure enough mistakes happen (and if you ask me people are picky) BUT REGARDLESS ......we are paying costumers that need to get what we asked for. Bottom line, the place look great with the new remodel stuff but the staff is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! read more

I normally love this place but tonight ruined this location for me as I always do I ordered the #4 which is the steak meal with two sides and a drink I asked the cashier Alberto if I could order the steak with yellow rice tostones and plantain he says I can only do that if I give up my drink option so I was like ok and even asked how much extra would the drink be he told me the price I did the math in my head and realized it was cheaper if I brought a 6pk of jupina for .70 cents more... so i told him okay id rather not have the drink and place my order after waiting roughly 15 mins for mine and my sisters food I open my plate and realize I only have meat any a bunch of plantain. My sister food was incorrect as well so while Another worker fixed her plate I spoke to an older women explaining how my food order was incorrect she proceeds to tell me Alberto never said that's and I asked her to call him over and she refused insisting he did not say that nor was he going to say it. Alberto literally was 5 feet away noticed we had issues and didnt even bother to the come over to see what was wrong and proceeded to sir the food displayed up front.i went over to him and asked him in front of her did he not say that he went back on his word I believe because this older women had superiority over him. My sister was disgusted he basically was calling us liars bc she stood there with me and heard him say if I lose my drink I can have tostones and asked for a refund. I was completely taken back and felt borderline humiliated with the service I received tonight. I would say maybe there was a language barrier because his English was great but when I mentioned I could get a whole 6pack of jupina at presidents for cheaper he chuckled so I know he understood everything I said. I was not trying to get over on them but the way my situation was handled lacked professionalism and they need to be trained in their customer service skills for them to have just given me my rice and tostones would have been worth more then the business lost due to this incident. I had the seafood platter. It came with fried pieces of fish, shrimp, calamari and ceviche. The platter was about $15 and had pretty good portions. It was enough for two people, a pretty good deal for what it was. I love calamari but I didn't care for the calamari that they had. It was pretty chewy and not what calamari should be. I did like the ceviche though. The ceviche had tender pieces of fresh fish marinated in lime juice and spices that just had a hint of a spicy kick to it. Check this place out. Given the market that this place service and the quality of the food I'd say you were getting a bargain by getting anything at this place. The portions are huge and the quality of meat is above the price point. If you're looking for fancy Peruvian or something then I suggest you go for something less fast food Peruvian like. Peruvian food is generally awesome and for roasted chicken and other specialties you can't touch these places for quality and price. This one is clean and quick. I tried the Seafood soup which was made up fresh and was kick ass! You'd pay $26or more on Atlantic Ave for a cioppino that isn't half as good as this one for $8.95. read more

Horrible service and filled with unprofessional people. I ordered two #2 meals and I was not served the full combo meal. I was missing two sodas. When I went to go ask for he sodas they told me I hadn't ordered the combo meal that I had ordered something else and needed to pay for the sodas. When I told them that no I would not pay more for two more sodas when I had asked for the combo meal they called the manager who proceeded to tell me that I was being rude and needed to pay for the extra sodas that the mistake was on my part not their part. Horrible manager should be fired for not understanding the basics of customer service. read more
