Long-time Tucson treasure treat! Warm inviting family feel with friendly engaged & upbeat staff. The housemade chips are fried to toasty perfection and served with fresh chunky salsa with a chili zing. Food is rooted in regional culture and flavors are rich and full. You can't miss here with the full, varied and unique menu!

It had literally been decades since the last time I went to Indita, and that was at their old location on 4th. I absolutely love their new digs! Spacious patio area, with cool lights, umbrellas, and many tables. If you have a choice and it isn't too hot, sit outside. The food is stellar! I got their ranch style flat enchilada, which is more or less a thick masa topped with enchilada flavors and spices. So yummy. (And it's vegetarian too!) The rest of the table (3 more) ordered the green chicken enchiladas. They didn't need to rave about it: their plates were completely clean at the end of the meal! We ordered Tamarindo and Horchata drinks between us, and frankly, the Tamarindo is some of the best I've ever had anywhere. Service can be a little slow, especially if they're busy. But we didn't really mind. It was a nice experience.

The parking is kind of small but they have a cool yard to sit at if you choose to do so it was 90 something outside so I opted for inside. I was seated immediately the staff were warm and provided good insight into what to get. I had the carne seca and I was a little thrown off by it but not bad at all. I would definitely get the tarscan taco again.

Not sure how I have not left a review for La Indita yet. One of my Tucson favorites and in my opinion a must visit for guests in Tucson from out of town. I love their mole, their fresh corn masa dough and the crispy tacos. Everything is made from scratch. They seem like a really nice family too. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

Excellent food in an unassuming restaurant. Being unfamiliar with the area, we passed this place twice and almost didn't go in. But I'm glad we did! Their back patio looks super cute for warmer nights and the food was great. Little bit of a wait but the friendly servers got us sat as soon as possible at 7pm Saturday. Salsa and chips were tasty, the carne asada was excellent. The corn tortillas are thick and perfectly charred. The green enchiladas were good too. The sauce was thicker than usual, but that's probably the Native fusion instead of being just Mexican enchiladas. So glad we stopped in, we ate every bite. Forgot to take a picture until I was half through!

La Indira never disappoints. Flavors are excellent; that chicken mole is so delicious, the enchiladas are great, and the Indian taco never disappoints. Their margaritas are also really good and hit the spot in summer! I haven't eaten inside because the patio is so lovely and their giant umbrellas do a great job of providing shade that I always choose to eat outside. I can't remember the name of the older gentleman who plays music and sings but he's amazing! I love the chill, relaxed vibe of the patio, like hanging out a cool friend's place. But as outstanding as the food is, what really makes this place special is the staff. Everyone seems to enjoy where they work, which in the service industry is so rare, and they treat clients like friends and family. They're always looking for ways to make your experience better & make special occasions even more special. This level of attention and love for the community doesn't go unnoticed and their support of folks who work Tucson better for everyone means this restaurant will always be on my list of local treasures.

This place is cute. There was a wedding going on so outside was reserved. There was a bit of a wait but the hostess offered to make us cocktails and they were so sweet to offer. Even asking us what kind of flavors we liked. My drink was strong and yummy! Very good house marg. They offered complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was very fresh but bland. It needed salt and maybe better more fragrant tomatoes. I go the combo plate. It came with a beef taco, chicken enchilada with a pea based green sauce and chile relleno. Chile relleno was mid. I wouldn't get again. No real strong flavors. The taco was AMAZING I could have done a plate of those. The chicken enchilada was ok. It was also bland. Although the green sauce for peas was interesting it just didn't have enough flavor and zing. Our waiter did let us try both green and red but I went with green bc red was even less flavorful. The mole is supposed to be very good so I may try that with a friend one day. I would come back for tacos but probably not much else.

Absolutely love this long time family owned and strong running business. Wow. It's amazing to hear the stories from people who are adults now and how they as children would enjoy this families food. Wonderful and bright service. Delicious and authentic native/Mexican food. Beautiful patio and indoor space. Truly a local community treasure.

This restaurant has been serving incredible food since the year I was born in 1983. We got there right when they opened at 5pm and it was packed within 10 minutes. Amazing community support for a long-time locally owned spot! We ordered the horchata, a cheese quesadilla, Indian tacos, and the beef burro with sides of rice and beans. Everything was perfectly cooked. It was our first time trying the Indian tacos and it will definitely not be the last. We sat inside the cozy space, but the outdoor patio is so spacious and welcoming. We can't wait to go back in the spring to enjoy the weather!

I've always driven by this restaurant and wondered was it was. The parking lot is always so packed. And I'm so glad I finally went to check it out. It's so yummy! This place is so cute. I love sitting on patio when the weather is perfect. Service is quick and attentive. The food is sooo good and doesn't take too long. Sometimes there is live music outside. I ordered the chalupas and my boyfriend got carne seca burro. Was soooooo good!

This place is a gem. Very chill atmosphere, and the staff are all very attentive and warm. I got the green enchilada special. It was fantastic. They make the enchilada sauce in house and it was all so flavorful. Everything tastes like real food. The flan was also the best I've ever had. I will be coming back and recommending to anyone in the area!

La indita is right off Stone, the parking is in the back of the building with access from the front and back of the building which is nice! We opted to sit outside and had great service with chips, salsa and water immediately on our table. The salsa was on the runnier side with the perfect kick of heat. Chips seem to be made in house and delicious. My husband got a chicken tamale with red sauce and the rice and beans. The tamale was sooo good! The red sauce was interesting there was a lot of oregano which gave it more of a pizza sauce type of flavor which other reviews have mentioned which I definitely understand now. I had the green chicken enchiladas which had the same type of beans and rice. The meat was almost dry but not bad, the tortillas definitely seemed to be made in house. The green sauce was not what I've had from other Tucson restaurants definitely set them apart from other places but isn't what I was expecting flavor wise. Overall the sauces didn't match the dishes to me. The red sauce was very oregano and gave it a pizza flavor, the chicken in the enchiladas wasn't the best. Service was great! Would come back to try some other dishes.

Oooooooohweeeeeee I think I've died and gone to food heaven . This restaurant has everything I look for in a favorite. Ambiance , great service , local , low key , good vegan menu , vibes , indoor & outdoor and most of all fantastic food. Indita delivers up a so many mouth watering options you'll have trouble deciding. Make sure you try the guac , It's the best I've had in town so far! Almost everything can be made vegan on the menu . The beans aren't cooked in lard & they don't use chicken bouillon.

The interior is visually congested, not in a bad way but with lots of decor, seating, movement areas and etc. It makes a feeling of the space being busy and distracting. I prefer calmer spaces but it's not terrible. Service was prompt, frequent and wonderful. An older woman came by and asked how we wanted salsa and made us a bowl which was INCREDIBLE! So savory, spicy, fresh and left me wanting more. (You get a certain amount salsa and chips per person than you gotta pay). It was literally perfect. We weren't super hungry and wanted to share, to us the serving was more than enough for two. We enjoyed a house rocks margarita, grilled steak fajitas with rice and beans, sides of sour cream and guacamole and also some chips and salsa. It was all very well made, came out steaming and was very satisfying. The space felt cold to me, but seemed fine to all else. So just a note there if you run on the warmer side. I don't know if they do reservations, but I would imagine on some nights it would be a good idea seeing as they seem very busy.

Which, you know, is kind of the whole point of a restaurant. The atmosphere was great, a little on the nose, but great none the less. It feels like a Mexican dinner or at least what I imagined a dinner in Mexico would look like. The staff where beyond amazing, especially the woman who made our complementary salsa right at the table. And the salsa was yummy but sadly that's the only part of the meal that I can say that about. The thing is, nothing was truly bad, but just about everything was incredibly bland. You'd have expected someone who puts raisins in potato salad to have served it, not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Though the positive is the lack of seasoning is really the only major problem. The food did not have any weird taste, it wasn't dry, the presentation was fine. It simply needs to be seasoned and this place goes to a solid 4/5 rather than a three.
