I love coming here to see Mina for microdermabrasions or facials. I followed her here from her last location. Mina is really good at doing the micros. She gets every inch of your face, neck, and around your nose, your upper lip, and not too close to your eyes. She uses great pressure too. I've been to places where the touch was too light that it felt like I didn't even get a micro nor was my face a healthy pink/red after it. I've been coming to her for some time. Parking here is easy. There is a small lot, but it doesn't really seem to have a lot of traffic as the other businesses nearby seem slow. read more

I do not recommend to go to this salon. My hair was done by Eilanit. I showed her a picture of myself as blond and I told her that I want to get back to blond again. Eilanit promised me that she can get me the same result as the picture. She did highlights on my hair while my hair was very brown colored so I had two colors (very brown with very blond highlights that she added) and she colored my hair roots (only my hair roots) with honey color. When I told her that the roots color is not matching the rest of my hair she said "don't worry about it". My hair had honey color on the roots while the rest of the hair is brown with blond highlights. Not only she didn't get me the result I asked, my hair looked very bad and she charged me $240 and did not offer to fix it. I will never go to this Salon again - not professional and very bad customer service. I am extremely disappointed. read more

Seriously the best salon I've ever been to, hands down. Elainit, the owner, is an absolute miracle worker and the friendliest woman you'll ever meet. I got extensions put in about six months ago and I was really nervous because I'd never had them before, but Elainit gave me the highest-quality extensions on the market for the lowest price around (I got quotes from a bunch of different salons). I absolutely LOVE them!!! It might sound silly, but they're totally life-changing. I've always had unruly, super fine hair that I never knew what to do with, and having thick, shiny, totally natural looking extensions boosted my confidence in a major way. I can have them in for up to two years, and I only need to get them tightened every 2-3 months! If you're thinking about extensions, I can't recommend it enough. And trust me -- you want to have them done at La Jolie. Plus, the atmosphere of the salon is just really warm and fun -- not at all intimidating or pretentious. The staff remembered my name when I came in, even though they'd only met me for about five minutes when I came in to make an appointment. They really care about their clients and you can feel that. Elainit is a perfectionist and won't let you leave that chair until every hair on your head looks perfect and you're thrilled with it. She's really an artist. It's always easy to get an appointment on short notice, too. And there's no waiting around for 30 minutes while she takes another double-booked appointment. She always has an assistant take over the next part of your process if she has another client, so you're in and out as quickly as possible with no downtime. The WORST SALON! I went to get my hair cut and highlighted. I showed the lady a picture and she gave me the WORST HAIRCUT I have ever gotten. She chopped my hair did not give me highlights and she cut layers in my bangs! My favorite part of the experience was when a man came in the salon selling fruit. She stopped what she was doing to buy fruit and as she talking to him the brush being used to dye my hair fell on the floor. She picked it off the floor and continued to use it!!!! I think I was in too much shock to say anything. After I left I was furious and I called the salon to talk to a manager. They took my number and told me I would be getting a call. Surprise... They never called me. So if you want a bad haircut, dirty brushes and horrible hair color come to this salon. read more

Her salon offers the best of Beverly Hills with the fairest prices in town. Color and highlights are fabulous here. Salon also offers nails, waxing and other treatments. They even did my hair and the bridal party for my wedding. It's a full service salon so you can even get a mani and pedi when there. The salon is beautiful as are the people that work there. My mother always told me that ice cream came in 32 flavored because people had different taste. My experience at La Jolie was the complete opposite if the previous reviewer. Most importantly, I left with a great haircut! The shop, on Wilshire Blvd., has large bay windows, is bright, and spotless. There were fresh flowers, complimentary snacks and beverages, and best of all free parking. The staff was attentive and quite knowledgable. Even the woman who washed my hair, noticed how dry it had become and added a treatment that left me with happier hair. What can I say about this place other than DO NOT GO THERE! I should have known better when I came into the salon..but I thought maybe I should give it a chance. First of all the salon does not look like the cleanest place. It is dark and depressing and there was hair on the floor not being swept or cleaned. I showed a picture of the color and cut I wanted..and I received the exact opposite. On top of everything else the hair stylist cut my bangs uneven, they looked HORRIBLE. When I asked why she layered bangs she said "dont worry in a week they grow out." So for 3 weeks I had to pin my hair back. When I called to complain they took my number and told me they would call back and of course they never returned my call. I think my favorite moment of the experience was when a man came into sell fruit. As my hair stylist was ordering the fruit (while doing my hair!!) the brush fell on the dirty floor. The fruit guy picked it up off the floor and she continued to use it. I cannot believe I stayed but what can I say I am one of those people who rarely complain.
