    La Jolla Shores

Came by here since I was in the area and it was a very nice experience. A cool place to grab a drink (and a burger if you'd like since it's connected to another shop) and hang, the menu had a nice selection. Ended up with a lavender milk tea (good but a bit sweet, boba was chewy) and a La Jolla Shores (so cool looking, sweet but it is cotton candy flavored!). Staff were very helpful and nice, and they even offered an insulated bag to carry the drinks out. Thanks so much!

Come down to San Diego for a conference and this is across from the hotel. The drink is rather good and they definitely put a lot of fruit or boba into the drinks. Once you order using the kiosk, they make the drinks rather quickly depending on the amount of people there at the time. It does share a building with another restaurant but it is still a nice setting. We loved the drinks and have been back twice now.

Wanted something sweet before picking my daughter up from school. Found this place on Yelp. The lady who took our order was very nice. They had pretty cool drink items but I chose the La Jolla drink. It's located inside of a plaza inside of a burger spot. Parking can be validated so that's a plus because it is paid parking only.

I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it wasn't as great as I had hoped. Even at 1/2 sweet, my drink was too sweet and didn't have as much tea flavor as I had hoped. I likely won't be back. FYI, it shares a space with the neighboring burger restaurant. No issues with service, just missed the mark for me on the drinks.

The service here is amazing! The staff is super welcoming and friendly!! It just so happened that I came to try this place on national boba day! So they had these cute little bags!! They make their strawberry matcha with fresh cut strawberries that they cut daily, and they have all the milk substitution options which is awesome. I loved the strawberry matcha, and will definitely be coming back to try more drinks!!

After driving around aimlessly in the paid parking nightmare that is la jolla (locals shouldn't have to pay, just sayin'), I settled on this spot for a quick treat and some computer work while my man got his self care sauna and cryo on at Chill N Out. I loved my oatmilk matcha boba drink! note to reader, I have not had boba in like more than a decade so I don't feel like im experienced enough to have a well researched and educated opinion about authentic or chef's kiss boba. BUT I LOVED IT! and which i ordered the bigger one, and which i had known it was much easier to suck up the boba when there was still liquid in the cup. may have unlocked a new treat obsession. if only it was lavender/rosemary flavored, OMG i would be floored. the place shared space with crispy burger and there is two entrances to the shared space. the manager/owner person was so nice, and proactive. she saw i was working on my laptop and suggested i sit at the tables with power/charging stations. LOVE THIS! every place should have this, but it is so rare to find. this alone warrants a star on its own.

Great boba! They have amazing quality and the taste is great, they have unique drinks, like a La Jolla Shores cotton candy slush, and a refreshing rose lychee drink, and a delicious strawberry shortcake!! The service was very sweet and they have a self checkout area and it even came with a sustainable bag for travel! Lots of tables to sit at indoor and outdoor and next to a very convenient food place sharing the same indoor space!

Got the House Special Milk Tea and the strawberry matcha. The house tea is quite solid. What you can expect when you.l get a house milk tea. I didn't get any seeetness adjustments and it's a pretty good level. I would recommend. The strawberry bits in the matcha are tasty and sweet but the matcha doesn't taste as rich as other places. Still okay, but that knocks it down a little for me. The inside is nice, was empty so probably good for studying. Price is not bad considering La Jolla

Can never go wrong with the La Jolla Sunrise!!! Seriously one of my favorite drinks anywhere!! It's so refreshing especially on a hot summer day!! The service is always spot on and we are always greeted with a smile!! Support this business and while you are there pick up a burger from crispy burger to enjoy as they are in the same spot!! Highly recommend both spots!!

A Rare Gem in the Boba World - La Jolla Boba I normally don't write reviews about boba -- I've been drinking it my whole life -- but La Jolla Boba truly deserves one. What makes this place stand out isn't just the drink (which is absolutely delicious), but the combination of the cozy atmosphere and the incredible owner, Angela. Even though it's her first time making boba, Angela has clearly done her homework. She's learned from Taiwanese traditions and brings that authentic touch to every cup. You can really taste the difference -- it's rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. What makes this place even more special is the warm, welcoming vibe. It's a perfect spot to relax solo, hang out with friends, or even bring the whole family. Angela has gone above and beyond, even installing rapid phone chargers for customers' convenience -- and if you're a San Diego local, she might just surprise you with a free refill. La Jolla Boba isn't just a drink stop -- it's a place where you feel cared for. Highly recommend checking it out. You'll come for the boba and stay for the hospitality.

NATALIA IS AMAZING best customer service ever she was such a vibe made me feel so loved, drinks were 10/10 so beautiful, not skimpy on the portions would totally recommend love our girl natalia make sure to say hi!

The pesto spread was good though. It was creamy and the artisan bread it was served had great variety. Ambiance: 5/5 This place is such super cute. We used to come visit here when we come to San Diego. On this summer day - the restaurant doesn't bave any AC on so it made it a bit uncomfortable to enjoy our desert when it is a bit cooler to sit outside. The other thing that got to me was that the men's restroom was out of service so they did not announce it or anything but the women's bathroom was to be used by both genders but it was crowded so a bit uncomfortable. Service wise we got our deserts and the deserts are still very delicious. We were a larger party and they were able to accommodate and get all of our orders correctly. Noise level was normal and gave us time to sit down and relax our feet. Over all - food was good but things were a bit worn down from a building perspective

My friends and I were just looking to get a coffee in Little Italy, but when we walked in and saw all the delicious treats we had to try something else as well. The latte was good, and my friend bought a kitchen sink type cookie with chocolate, coconut, and macadamia nuts. It was warm and gooey good! Another friend tried the gelato and said it was very good. There are a few tables inside and tables out in front outside. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful San Diego weather. The decor and tables definitely gives you an old school Italian neighborhood vibe with Italian markets right next door. It was a warm day but we got there at 5:15pm and the sun was starting to go behind the downtown buildings. Negative: service. It seems if you are a regular, like the two tables near us, they chat it up and talk about how things are. If you aren't a regular, they just quickly come by and say "anything else?" the two times they came by. Im a huge water drinker so the carafe they brought only refilled our cups once. Never got another one until we were done and they came by asking about dessert. They weren't busy by any stretch on a Tuesday evening but apparently the frequent customers either tip really well or they prefer familiar faces. I assume the latter. So, I mean the food itself was great but service was not good. I mean we went when it was slow too and the host was talking it up with a frequent customer also asking about the changes recently to parking in their area nearby.... So, it puts this review as a 3/5.

So we decided on Nonna's for their variety of pastas and pizza. The evening was packed with people up and down the streets. However, when we arrived at Nonna's we only had to wait no more than a couple of minutes before being seated. We thought most italian places would provide some sort of complimentary bread, but this place did not. We ended up ordering the Carbonara, Fusilli Alla Vodka, Pappardelle, and Salsiccia pizza. Each were fantastic, but the family really enjoyed the Fusilli and the Pappardelle the most! The short rib meat was extremely tender and flavorful. Portions were a little smaller than expected, but it was enough to feed each of us with a couple slices of pizza to spare. Ambiance was nice and the staff was great.
