The Social is the PERFECT name for this establishment-everything screams "social" from the variety of interactive activities each week to the open seating that encourages a sense of community. This third space is exactly what a college town needs-a fun, safe location for people to hang out with friends. Better yet, it's not a bar (they serve mocktails but no alcohol), so it's a fantastic match for the Provo vibe. I attended to watch my son perform as part of a jazz combo one evening. I love that they have live music on the weekends. During the week, you can find karaoke, comedy and other fun events. There's a pool table and plenty of open seating and couches where you can hang with your friends. The menu is a little bit of everything, which sometimes worries me. When a restaurant tries to be too many things, they don't usually excel at any of them-but the beef bulgogi that I ordered was delicious. It paired nicely with "Cuddles on the Beach," a mocktail whose name begged me to give it a try. Even as an adult that does occasionally have a drink, this would be a place that I'd happily come and hang out in. Hopefully the younger crowd won't mind this old fart in their midst pretending to be cool. I promise, I'll get out of there by 9pm.

This place has a great atmosphere. I love the scattered seats throughout the stone, cozy, basement. There is plenty of seating, even big group tables. The menu is a little big, almost overwhelming. I am always a little hesitant when it's huge because that usually means a lot of Okay food and nothing spectacular. We ordered the burger and the Italian flat bread. I was surprised at how minimal the burger was and yet so packed with flavor. The texture is good, the patty is fresh, it has cucumbers instead of lettuce, and it takes great. I enjoyed it. I wish it came with a side of fries but it isn't much more to add them on. We also got to try the new spicy fry sauce they are working on. It was great. The flat bread came out a little wonky, not a consistent shape but was very hot and fresh. The toppings were delicious, pretty much just a mini pizza to be honest. The service seems to be getting ironed out. Most new restaurants require a grace period, especially in a college town. Our food took awhile to come out, including the special drink we ordered. But the owner was great at walking around and checking on people that were waiting. So they are making improvements. Overall, I think this is a really cool spot for food and hanging out. There are big TVs on some walls with games on, there are seated areas to dine and chat. There is live music on the weekends and a pool table in the back. Usually these items bring the place down classyness wise. But here it works, it's classy yet fun. Excited to see it grow, we will be back to try more items.

Enjoying the ambiance...on the sofa awaiting our late night meals.

We came across this restaurant by accident after an event held at the Covey Center For The Arts, which happened to be the George Michael reborn tribute concert. Honestly, a little difficult to find via maps, as we did not know that it was in the basement of the address. But as soon as we entered, we were greeted by Malcolm served by Hiram and even the owner Patrick came out to serve us, and chat a bit about his restaurant. I had the Chuk's salmon bowl And Elaine had the TomTom Tom bowl. Both were delicious where you even had that Clafoutis dessert which the Chef came out to recommend to us. It has a great atmosphere with a pool table, board games, card games and a large screen TV. There's even an area where people can play a piano or sing.

The service was immediately really friendly and made for a good atmosphere. The location and the whole vibe was great. The street tacos were great.

Perfect place for a college town. Where was this when I was in school? It's the perfect place for group studies, friend hangouts, or a simple highly out. They've got mocktails, lots of food options, desserts, entertainment, and comfy seating in a cool environment that is modern yet gives a sensible nod to the building's age.

Mama dos flatbreads are unbelievable here! You have to go if you want some of the best flatbreads in town. The ambiance is adorable which super cute decor. It is kind of like an underground bar so the vibes are so fun. The staff is so kind and helpful. We tried the flatbread, onion rings, and drinks and they were all so delicious. 10/10 will be going back and I'm so happy someone is finally making a social environment that provo has desperately needed for a long time now!

The ambiance in here was so good!! Very chill spot to relax and catch up with friends. The drinks are a little pricey but they're good. The shots aren't my favorite, but they gave us the kick we were looking for

If I could give this place a 6/5 I would. The cutest provo restaurant ever! My sister and I ordered the flat bread and onion rings and it was amazing!! The staff were sooo sweet and the vibe was super chill and welcoming! We also ordered two drinks and they were super delish as well! Definitely recommend!

Atmosphere is really great. Super cool vibe.

I feel like the hostess must have unexpectedly been out because the folks managing seating and reservations seemed a little lost. This was our first time here and I was pretty concerned about what the rest of our experience would be. We got to our table and then sat there for 10 minutes without any kind of greeting. Following the disorganization of getting seated, we weren't sure what was happening and almost left. I'm so glad we stayed. Once our server greeted us, it was smooth the rest of the evening. We ordered drinks (Old Fashioned and wine), both were excellent. Someone brought delicious soft rolls with olive oil and balsamic vinegar-excellent. We stuck with tapas and the portions were bigger than expected. We had a whole lineup of items we wanted, but filled up after three. We ordered a charcuterie plate that was an off menu special. Iberico and a truffle manchego cheese and a rosemary manchego cheese served with toasted baguette and grapes. It was delicious! We also ordered the Gambas Al ajillo salsa Roja (shrimp in a red sauce) and the Pulpo à la gallega (octopus). The shrimp were incredible. I could have eaten the sauce with a spoon. Okay, I DID eat the sauce with a spoon and then asked for more bread to sop it up. The octopus was a surprise. My husband ordered it and I was prepared to try a small bite. It was fantastic. The octopus was nicely chewy without being rubbery at all. And it was served with potatoes in a thin sauce that tasted like olive oil and paprika and onion. So good. We looked at the desserts and my heart said yes while my full stomach said no. I almost ordered the crème brûlée cake to go, but decided to come back another day. Our server (Zack) was great! I really think something happened with the hostess because the rest of the evening was so smooth. Very interesting interior. We sat at a small cafe table that felt strangely intimate despite how crowded it was. We'll be back!

The wine list is long, though there is not much by the glass. The reds we tried were good. The Crianza was my favorite, young and light but still flavorful, with a subtle dry finish. We ordered tortilla española, torta de cecina, patatas bravas, mejillones, and pinchos morunos. Everything had great flavor. There was some inconsistency with temperature. The patatas came out just warm, while other dishes were very hot. The pinchos morunos turned out to be more like a meatball on a stick. That may have been my misunderstanding, but when I see lamb pincho I expect grilled pieces of lamb. They were tasty, just more basic than I expected. For dessert we had churros. This may be personal preference, but I like to pick up a churro and dip it in chocolate without it breaking apart. These were more like a fried cake in the shape of a churro and required a spoon. They also have what looks like a very nice patio for good weather. I would be a bit concerned about speed of service if the patio is full, since the kitchen seems quite small. A bottle of crimson wine, which my husband had so thoughtfully requested when making the reservation, awaited us like a silent sentinel on our table. The moment the wine kissed my lips, rich and velvety like a dark secret, I knew this night would etch itself into the marrow of my memory. Surrounding us was an enchanting gothic ambiance: flickering candlelight cast trembling shadows upon the stone walls, and the air was heavy with the heady perfume of roses and aged wood. The entire room breathed intimacy, like a cathedral of indulgence. Upon first glance at the menu--gilded and inked in an elegant, archaic script--my mouth watered with almost sinful anticipation. Everything looked positively decadent, but alas, I knew I must show restraint, lest I be consumed by my own ravenous desire. Our waiter appeared--Gehrig, a vision of aesthetic perfection, with cascading brunette curls and eyes that seemed to hold ancient, knowing mischief. He recommended that we begin with three to four plates. We chose the baked brie, lobster ravioli, Eva's steak, and Eva's pizza. Each dish arrived like an offering to some delicious pagan ritual, and my husband and I devoured them as though spellbound. With each bite, we released low, primal murmurs of pleasure--"mmmmmmm"--echoing like chants in a haunted chapel. For dessert, we indulged in the crème brûlée, its sugar crust cracking like old parchment beneath our spoons, revealing the creamy, golden heart beneath. Beside it sat a decadent marvel: a dark chocolate cup filled with warm, molten ganache, crowned with scorched marshmallows that looked like ghostly little clouds singed by candlelight. As I took a bite, the toasted sweetness gave way to a rich, velvety darkness that coated my tongue like a forbidden spell--smoky, sweet, and utterly divine. It was less a dessert and more an incantation, casting a spell that sealed the evening in delicious eternity. Throughout our two-hour reverie, sweet Gehrig floated in and out of our little sanctum, always arriving precisely when needed, as though summoned by some invisible incantation. His enthusiastic spirit and hauntingly bright smile elevated the evening to something almost supernatural. Eva wouldn't be Eva without Gehrig--our charming guide through this gothic culinary dreamscape. My husband and I agreed that all future anniversaries must be consecrated at Eva. After the dark and stormy year we had endured, it was this night--bathed in candlelight and cloaked in enchantment--that rekindled the sacred fire between us. Thank you, Eva, for the most unforgettable night we could have ever imagined. Here's to many more nights of shadowed magic, shared laughter, and delicious resurrection.

Not a single open table. PACKED. And honestly... now I get it. I'll be real--I went in a little unsure. Most of the reviews are a few years old, and while there are photos posted by the owner, they don't say what anything is (which made ordering a bit of a guessing game). A few things I asked about were actually old specials... which was a little disappointing. BUT--this is where it turned. Our server went out of his way to ask the kitchen if they could recreate a taco salad I saw in one of the photos... and they said yes. Immediate gold star. And when the food came out?? Massive. Like... borderline shocking portions. My taco salad was on a giant Navajo taco base and LOADED--cheesesteak-style meat, fajita onions, peppers, lettuce, tomato, avocado, chipotle dressing, salsa... every bite was so good. And somehow it all stayed in place (which if you've ever fought a falling-apart taco salad, you know matters ). My husband got the fish and chips and I'm usually not a fish and chips girl--but this?? I'd order it myself next time. Flaky, moist fish with the crispiest, lightest batter. So, so good. We finished with cheesecake (raspberry key lime + blueberry sour cream). They were good and fresh, but not quite as wow as the entrees--just wished they were a little creamier and the key lime had more tang. But overall? We walked in unsure... and left already planning what we'd order next time. Safe to say: totally unexpected, totally impressed, and 100% coming back.
