Today, I went to the Lalaland coffee shop at the Glendale Americana. I actually visited the one at The Grove with my friends when it first opened a few years ago, and today I stopped by this location while shopping with my mom. My mom had a Hot Americano, and I had an Iced Vanilla Latte. I ordered mine decaf, with non-fat milk and very light ice, and I was so happy because they made it perfectly just the way I asked. The Vanilla Latte I ordered was incredibly delicious (it wasn't too sweet, just really good), and my mom also loved her Americano and said it tasted great. I think this place is always crowded because all their coffee is delicious and the staff is so friendly. Also, I really like that the cups they serve the coffee in are so pretty! One thing, though: the female cashier who took my coffee order didn't catch my name even when I told her it was Diane. She said a different name, so I clearly spelled it out for her, and then did she say, "Oh, Diane?" and corrected it. I've never had anyone anywhere fail to understand my name when I say it, so that bothered me a little bit today. It's not a huge deal, but in that moment, I just felt a little uncomfortable.

Really tasty, delicious coffees and drinks. I haven't tried their pastries but their drinks usually satisfy my cravings. I'm on a restricted diet so I really like being able to truly customize my coffee that's acceptable and pleasing to this diet while satisfyingly good. As usual, this location can be very busy and packed during peak times which can vary lol meaning lines can be longs and waits will be had. But the staff is always welcoming and helpful. Today, they opened their windows so there was a wonderful breeze while sitting inside having our drinks. The only caviat is that the tables and floors don't get cleaned up promptly but it would be a bit difficult since customers are just coming and going. Seating is a hit and miss. Other than that, worth a visit, or two or three!

Got here on a weekday afternoon and the line is relatively short - took about 10 mins! Got the einspanner latte (matcha) and it's underwhelming...first of all the cup is soooo small for a $7 drink and second of all the matcha tastes a bit off (a bit grainy I guess) and not the strong matcha flavor I was hoping for. I do like it's not super sweet though so perfect on a hot day! There are really cute tables outside that you can relax and take pictures! Probably not worth the crazy line since there are way better matcha out there.

This La La Land location always has long lines no matter what time you go. I am not sure maybe it's because of the location. There are other coffee shops around, but seems like this is the most hyped place. I saw the long Line for ordering, therefore, I placed my order online. Even with ordering online I had to wait 10 minutes or so. This is a really cute coffee shop. It has both indoor and outdoor seating area. Indoor is picture worthy. I noticed a lot of people were taking pictures. I ordered a latte. It was really good. I will give them credit for the coffee. It tasted really and was a perfect drink for a hot weather. I highly recommend ordering on the app to avoid the long lines. They have the cutest cups too. This location is located in Americana. For parking, there is metered street parking, Americana parking or just park in Glendale Galleria and walk to this location.

Always on a hunt for a good banana latte and found here at La La Land. I got the banana cloud latte which comes iced. You have the option to get it with espresso and or matcha! I got mines with espresso and it was so good. We always tried the Kieth Lee order which was a 4/5 (Strawberry Matcha). Service was pretty good with the exception of the lady sitting the tops that you drink from on the counter (not sanitary) and she got an attitude from me asking for a new top! Very busy place! But ordering seems to go by long. Over all so glad we tried it?

Heard a lot of great things online about this place and wanted to try the hype. The line was pretty long but the wait for the drinks wasn't too bad since they had a lot of baristas making the drinks. The price is kind of expensive for the amount you get. The aesthetic of the place is cute and the cups are of really good quality. They have plenty of outside seating and minimal inside seating. We ended up getting a strawberry matcha latte as well as both of the PSG collab drinks. The quality of the drinks were really good though, the foam is thick and sweet. Everything about the drinks were perfect except the size. Overall, I would go again if I was craving it but not on my regular list for sure.

I had heard so many great things about La La Land, so I was glad I finally got the chance to try it. My first attempt at their Grove location didn't work out, so I was pleasantly surprised that the wait this time wasn't too bad. It was probably because it was Coachella weekend. As soon as I got there, I ordered the banana cream matcha, and it was a delightful surprise. The banana flavor tasted natural rather than artificial, and the matcha added a nice layer of depth that balanced everything well. It was a unique combination that really worked. The main reason I'd take off a star is the wait time--it still felt a bit long for what it was. I can only imagine how busy it gets on a typical weekend. The staff seemed a little tired, which is understandable given how popular the place is, but overall the experience was still positive. I enjoyed my drink and would definitely come back especially if the line is as manageable as it was this time. I'm not sure I'd wait through a much longer line for it to be honest. Until next time.

I visited La La Land Kind Cafe and had a bit of a mixed experience. The first thing you notice is the huge line -- it's always packed. The interior is absolutely beautiful, very aesthetic and clearly designed with Instagram in mind. It's definitely one of those places where you come for the vibe and the photos. The staff is friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience pleasant. Prices are a bit above average, which I wouldn't mind as much if the coffee matched my taste. Unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. Overall, it's a great spot for Instagram stories and a pretty atmosphere, but personally, I wouldn't come back because the coffee didn't meet my expectations.

Walked right in and surprised to see a short line. Definitely a win for the day. The lines are always out the door but definitely worth the wait. Ordered Banana cloud latte and a chai latte. Service was great and lattes came out fast.

I am not sure I would wait hours for La La Land, but it had a decent drink and if I was in the area and they had a short line, I would go back. I've been La La Land all over social media and since I was at the Grove, I definitely wanted to try. I got lucky and the line was only about 15 minutes. The employee was nice and I opted for the matcha latte. They have milk alternative, which is nice for a lactose intolerant like me. Drinks came out fairly quickly. They told us to wait outside where there is a pick up window. My matcha latte was pretty good, wasn't too strong and had a balance level of sweetness. Overall, I really liked the drink. I also tried the coffee latte, which wasn't my favorite, because the coffee was slightly too bitter for me. There's some seating inside and more seating outside. But even when I came during a slower time, there were no seats available. I was OK with it because I grabbed my drink and wandered around the Grove. But, if you're looking for a sit down experience, definitely would consider the limited seating.

A LA staple!!! I love La La Land!!! Everytime I have been here it has always been consistently good! The staff is always nice, the inside is a vibe and the drinks are so good!!!! They also have a wide variety of pastries and they sell merchandise! Cute hats and cute candles!!! This one is located in Glendale at the Americana. Yum, yum, I love you!

    Strawberry Fields Latte

The cashier was really sweet but the drink itself was disappointing. I got the Strawberry matcha and the drink was a 1.5/5. The matcha wasn't strong and the strawberry was weak. Overall the drink was too milky.

Banana Cloud Latte (w/ matcha) & World's Best Vanilla Latte (w/ espresso, salted)
    Basel Z.

Headed here on a busy Saturday afternoon with my wife and daughter, and it was packed. Makes total sense for this popular spot at the Americana. One confusing thing when you first walk in: figuring out the lines. There's a clear order line and a separate pickup line, and many people looked totally lost trying to figure it out. We jumped into the order line right away and the wait to place our order was not bad at all. But be prepared as drinks took over 30 minutes to come out. That said, it was absolutely worth it. My wife ordered the Banana Cloud Latte with matcha. My daughter got the Super Strawberry Milk and drank it so fast it was clearly a hit. I went with the World's Best Vanilla Latte with espresso, salted. They weren't kidding with the name. Not crazy sweet, perfectly balanced vanilla bean flavor with just the right touch of salt to make it delicious. Easily one of the better coffee drinks I've had in a long time. Smooth, flavorful, and satisfying. The cups they use are really neat too, cute and well designed, which added a nice touch to the whole experience. The bright, kind vibe of the place shines through even when it is slammed. If you're at the Americana shopping or strolling, this is a fun stop with creative drinks that deliver. Come for the dreamy lattes, stay for the long but rewarding experience. Just order ahead on the app if you can to skip some of the hassle. And here's to the fools who dream of getting their Banana Cloud without the 30 minute wait.

"What is this? A latte for ANTS?!!" ~Zoolander probably (my tiny small banana cloud latte in a sippy cup?? lol)

Kumquat lives off of York Blvd - a street with many families, creatives, and small businesses live. The environment is always wholesome. Their staff are always friendly, and as an experienced barista myself, I can see that their team are also very talented, well trained and very good at quality control. Their espresso is so balanced and sits perfectly center on your palette. Their matcha and hojicha is rich and velvety and seemingly a higher grade product. They work with many roasters, and sell a lot of their beans on their shelves. They also sell a lot of coffee and tea tools. I love everything about coming to Kumquat. Don't skip on their other locations (Loquat and newfound Quat). I'll forever stan this business

*** Cash not accepted ***…read more It has been a few years since my original visit and it looks like Kumquat Coffee is now known as the coffee shop to get matcha and hojicha lattes. Here are some of the key highlights: * In addition to the 2nd location in Downtown LA and a sister coffee shop Loquat Coffee in Cypress Park, the same owners also opened Fondry Bakery in 2024, a coffee roastery called Quat in Glassell Park in October 2025, and a 2nd Loquat location in Silver Lake in December 2025. * Still no private parking lot and the two public parking lots are still your best bet (5033 Lincoln Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90042 & 1311N N Ave 51, Los Angeles, CA 90042). Otherwise street parking is available. * Still no indoor seating with only few small outdoor chairs and a tiny table. * Our party had the Hojicha Latte (half-sweet $6.50) and Matcha Latte ($6.75). Personally, I strongly discourage anyone from getting the half-sweet option as it made the drink taste a bit watery. The Matcha Latte had full sweetness and it tasted about right, but it was still not as good as some other matcha lattes out there. * No public restroom [Conclusion]: A nice coffee shop to stop by while visiting the boutique shops on York Blvd. Decent matcha drinks, but I still prefer matcha drinks from various cafes in Koreatown if I want something on the next level.

Wish I could give six stars!!!…read more MENU: Their chocolate chip banana bread is to die for, genuinely so yummy, and their lemon poppyseed bread is a close second (note: they generally have each flavor every other day I believe, but I've been there sometimes when they've had neither or both, I think it just depends on the time you're there). Wouldn't get the breakfast burrito again, but maybe that's just me. My girlfriend loves their iced oat milk latte with honey. Not sure if they took their chai off tap since it's September, but I'd love to try it. NOTE: They have a rule on their tables requesting you buy something every two hours, so make sure you know that going in and plan accordingly. They have funky seasonal drinks that rotate monthly. WFH/COWORKING COMPATIBILITY: There is no shortage of outlets. An abundance of them on the tall tables, which is where my gf and I usually sit. I believe they are on the booths too, but can't confirm because I haven't sat there. I don't think they are super accessible via couch, but I've only sat there once. They also have wifi, which has never given me issues. It can get noisy with people playing tabletop games, but I've never had an issue if I just put headphones in. The communal tables mean there is plenty of space for everyone's stuff. I just hang my backpack on my chair. AMBIANCE: They play excellent music. A lot of sapphic stuff, riot grrrl, oldies, very good vibes. I've been going over the summer, and it's never been terribly warm. They have huge windows with shades that you can pull down. There's a sort of "backyard" area, I'm not sure whether it's accessible to the public, but it makes it feel cute and homey. It's very rustic-feeling, everything's wood and there are these wood bars on the ceiling if that makes sense. They have booths, a couch, two armchairs, and communal tall tables. Even though it can get crowded, I've never had nowhere to sit. PARKING/DRIVING/TRANSIT: Street parking (with no time limit/associated cost) is really your only option, but that's never been an issue for me and my gf. We've never had to park too far away, and we've never been unable to find a spot or had to look for more than a couple minutes. Make sure to not listen to Maps when it tells you to turn left on those big streets if that's not your jam lol. Also I think it's a five minute walk from that one A line stop, so if you live close enough that's a good alternative. STAFF: The sweetest, friendliest, gayest, nerdiest baristas ever. I've never had a bad experience with them. I've been to other cafes frequently, but since this one became our new spot, one of the baristas recognized me after we'd only gone a few days in a row. They all seem to be friends with the regulars, even though they've only been open a year as of a couple days ago. We usually go around the same time, so we generally see the same staff members, and they seem to recognize us when we come in. LOCATION: For me personally, it's very conveniently located, which is a huge plus. It's in a super cute area with lots of restaurants, dessert places, thrift shops, bars, etc., and I'm excited to check out the area more. Right next to Revenge Of, a comic book store, and I believe they have some sort of relationship or connection. I'm not huge into comic books, but if you are, that would be a huge plus, and it seems like they have a hang sesh out behind the comic book store maybe once a week or month? I think the comic book store has some sort of parking situation (where the hang is), but not sure if it's open to the public/And Destroy patrons. BATHROOM: They have a bathroom with a code, I don't remember exactly how I felt about it but I at least didn't have a negative enough experience that it stuck in my head as bad. I remember it being cute and aesthetic. It's just one single bathroom, but I've never had to wait or seen a line. STIMULATION: At times it can be overstimulating to be so close to other people at the communal tables. I've been there many times, and I've only been overstimulated by it once. It depends on the time and day that you go. If you look at their calendar, you can see if there's stuff going on that day, which may affect crowdedness. HOURS: They have great hours - 7am-10pm. They open early and close late - much later than most coffee shops. RESERVING TABLES/GAMING: I'm not versed in tabletop games, so I can't speak to that, but I've overheard people saying that if you want to play tabletop, this is the place to do it. In terms of reserving tables, it's $5/person for 2 hours from 5-10pm, but I believe it's free 7am-5pm. However, it's very easy after a few visits to earn the reward of a free 2 hour reservation. I believe you can reserve any of the different types of seating options. People reserving tables has never been an issue for seating, I've stayed as late as 8/8:30pm with no issue. REWARDS: After maybe 7 visits, I was able to get $5 off.

While I have not bought any yet, they carry a big selection of various plants, and there's ample patio seating if you want to be outdoors while enjoying your food or beverage. They offer a seasonal drink menu, and I liked an espresso tonic with a citrus syrup in the past off of the temporary drink listing. I tried a cortado during my most recent visit and thought it was well-made. I've been able to find street parking fairly easily though there is also some parking spaces on site.

The patrons include bicyclists whose bikes cost more than my car, folks driving Porsches (the bougiest car of all imho), lots of performative tattoos, and more athleisurewear than I've seen in my life. And this is in Cypress Park, which to me is most famous as the location of my favorite King Taco (not bougie at all). So, is gentrification happening here? That's a big yes. When the word "elevated" gets used to describe menu items, that's a dead giveaway. And yet....that Mascarpone latte is a work of art. Per their website, it's a "Tiramisu inspired drink layered with espresso, mascarpone cheese foam, and muscovado milk." It's just as good as it sounds. And honestly, these days, $8 was a bargain. Shocking how many young people were up and ordering their custom drinks at 7:30 am on a Sunday morning. I'm guessing the line gets really long on weekends. So order early! Five stars for creative drinks and free street parking.

In each and every visit, I know I am boring, I ordered the same thing - CORTADO. The benefit of being boring and visiting several times is that I can definitively say that they churn out consistently GREAT cortados. I was able to finagle some of the following as well: - HOT LATTE. Not "watery", or should I say "milky". Strong and creamy. - FONDRY KOUIGN AMMAN. Sooo good. Of course. And without the Fondry line. Staff is always awesome. Parking looks challenging but I've never had a problem. There was always space for me to sit and down my bean drug.

Located along the LA River bicycle path, 10 Speed Coffee is located in Frog Town. Parking is limited to their small parking lot or neighborhood streets. Of course, the focus is on the bicycle. The decor is modern and architecturally impressive. This is a nice location to enjoy your favorite coffee or tea or other refreshments. Whether with a laptop or a favorite book, the ambiance is inviting and peaceful, with a good amount of outdoor seating and limited indoor seating in the air conditioning. There are some creative drinks on their menu. Including an Earl Grey and coffee item. The menu also includes some pastries, a breakfast burrito, and vegan options. The espresso here is on the average side. Smooth in taste and weak in their lattes and cappuccinos. For a boutique coffee place, their coffee selection is mediocre compared to other nearby places.
